    Hi,
Why does my 645 Combo (6737) Motherboard make a siren noise when I turm my computer on?
I have just built a 1.8 Pentium 4 with 512DDR PC2700. 10 gb Fujitsu HDD, 230 Watt power Supply. (Think the power is the prob)

  • Confused over FSB speed on 645 combo mainboard

    Hi,
I've just bought a msi 645 combo mainboard and a intel celeron 2.2ghz (400mhz FSB)
My query is that when I go into the Bios set-up and then into the frequency/ voltage support the cpu frontside bus is set on 100mhz when my cpu runs at 400mhz, if I try to alter the fsb clock it only allows me to alter it to 200mhz but when I do this the DRAM frequency changes and is lowered below 333mhz (333 DDR is the memory I'm running)
Any help would be really appreciated.
                                          Mike

The P4 BUS does 4 operations per clock, it has an FSB of 100MHz and a system BUS of 400MHz.
Your CPU shold be set to 100MHz.

  • FX5600 VTDR-128 performence

Hey guys, i jsut got HALO for pc and tried it out on my FX5600 VTDR128
it runs VERY slow, so i had to turn the graphics all the way down and need to run it at 800x600. is this just the video cards slowness? or could it be somethnig else with my system?
    I have a :
    amd athlon xp 2500+ barton
    asus a7n8x deluxe
    1gb ddr400 ram
    80gb WD hardrive
msi geforce fx5600 vtdr-128 video card
benq fp767 17" lcd monitor (16ms response time)
Im jsut wondering, is this the performence i should be having? or is it a little slow?

    yup
what are your system specs?  what kind of processor how much ram?
i have not personally bought the game yet, but i have read two reviews that stated unless you have a bawlin system running top speed, your framerates are gonna be very unsatisfying.  its not a problem with your card or even the drivers, the game was written poorly with mid-range systems in mind.  the fact that this is a 2 year old game, makes this situation EXTREMELY disappointing.  yes, the developers had to port it over to the PC platform, but if you wanna look at it like that, the XBOX is the closest console there is to a PC.  they had 2 years to tweak this game, even with a FEW improved graphical effects, it is STILL running on technology that is 2 years old.  GeForce 3 graphics + some more current pixel and vertex shaders, and the game CHOPS like a cooking show on the food channel.  very disappointing.  maybe there will be patches to the game in the future to deal with this situation.  for now, you're stuck like the rest of us unless you upgrade to some serious firepower.  sorry, it sucks.

  • MSI 645 Combo on 8X FX5200 AGP

Hi does this MOBO (MSI 645 COmbo) Supoort Geforce FX5200 8X AGP?
It start normally when there's no driver installed on WIN XP. Then I download the latest NVIDIA driver from Nvidia website & installed it then the my PC Hang during bootup. I don't even seen the Starting WIn XP image, I mean the black screen with a Win XP Logo & Blue Line moving.
    This is my spec
    P4 2.0
    MSI 645 Combo
    512 Kingston PC2700
    MSI Geforce MX440SE / Asus V9520 Magic/T (FX5200) 128MB
    400W PowerMax PSU
    Intel Network Card
    Maxtor 80GB
Is there any incompatible of my hardware or just the Mobo doesn't support it?
    Please Help Thanks.

I have a similar problem, in that there is startup screen corruption, and graphics corruption. Granted I'm running WIN98SE so at least it starts. Several restarts and the occasional driver reload get it going, after which it's fine.
I've looked at Ram timings in safe and normal, AGP APERTURE (128), Oveclocking (none used) using the latest 52.16 drivers after using detonator destroyer to get all the sticky bits of code from Nvidiot out, and eventually replaced the card with the previous fan cooled XFX fan cooled 440MX ge4. It runs fine now.
The removed non fan cooled PV-T18K-QTHG GF4 440MX AGP8X 64MB DDR TV card is now in my P3/500 on a Soyo 6BA+ Mobo........where it does the same blessed thing!!!!
Possibly not an MSI problem, but an old driver removal/ conflict issue.
I've asked MSI tech support, and XFX tech support for a clue, but no replies yet.
I've also asked CCL computers, who supply all me bits for a clue. Just sent tonight.
If I get an answer, I'll post.
    You have my sympathy.
    regards,
                 Bill

    Hi all,
I've installed new forceware (52.16) driver from Nvidia, and I cannot find the "Temperature" tab in the driver's control panel. (MSI FX5600 VTDR on K7N2 Delta-L).
This temp. feature is enabled on fx5600 gpu?!?
Also I noticed that the menus are not very clear with this driver.
    Any hints?!?
    Many thanks:)

  • 645 combo ms-6737 help please

    - Bios -
    A6737SMS v1.1 011603
    - Motherboard -
    645 Combo
    MS-6737 VER 10
    Here's the situation,
Everything has been running great since I've gotten this board a few years ago, then my main drive crapped out with a corrupted partition table.
I've been running agp cards in this beast for a few years now, I'm pretty sure I used version 3 of the live update tool to upgrade the agp drivers on the now dead drive, but honestly don't totally remember, I could have only used the install disk for the agp drivers, but again, pretty sure I used the old version 3 live update.
So now I've got a new driver installed and getting everything back to where it was, all seems to be going well accept for my agp video card.  I've have used my original msi utilities and drivers disk for the motherboard agp drivers but that has not not worked, windows XP will not find and recognize my video card (Gigabyte Ati HD 4650 1gb GDDR2).  I've tried to install the cards drivers to try and trick XP but I still get nothing.
I'm wondering what I really need to do, the board has been great, has had 3 agp cards in it that have run without a hitch, on the old drive.
Do I need to upgrade the bios?  (total noob at this, don't want to do it honestly)
Do I need to just get new msi agp motherboard drivers?  (No clue where to get them, the new live update crashes my system, actually had to reinstall XP once because of it, had a boot loop going on after live update crashed)
I'm currently sitting with a clean install of XP Pro SP2 (no updates), have ran the msi utilities & drivers setup which added SiS AGP Drivers, SiS Lan Drivers, AC97 Audio Drivers and SiS USB2.0 Drivers.  I've also installed my mouse software as well as Chrome browser and a partition data recovery utility (had to get some data off that crapped out drive).  I have not installed my ATi drivers as this did nothing the last time I tried it.  To note, I also tried installing the most recent ATi drivers, this also did nothing.
I can and will provide more information if it is required.
    Looking for any help, thanks.

I have installed the SiS agp Drivers from the link above as well as the current Ati drivers for my v-card.  Still no go.  What other chipset drivers do you mean?  I have downloaded all drivers from msi's website for my board.
About to do another clean XP SP2 install and start all over again.
Here is a dxdiag of my system, if not the info you wanted, then what do you require?

  • 645 Combo-L (MS-6737) VCore adjustment ?

    Hello,
    i have purchased the MSI 645 Combo-L (MS-6737) Board.
In the BIOS there are several functions for overclocking, it is even possible to adjust the AGP Voltage.
But i did not find any options to increment the CPU VCore, will there be a future BIOS Upgrade to enable CPU VCore adjusment ?
    Thanks for any answer.

    hi,
yeah, that is where it should be. But there is no such option. Look here -> http://www.geocities.com/myouterspace2002/bios.html
Thats how it looks, but Bios 1.1 added the point "AGP Voltage Adjustage" there.
So if they are able to add that Option, is there a new Bios in planning adding a CPU VCore adjustment option ?

  • MSI\'s Bluetooth and 802.11b combo module

From CSR's e-news service I know about MSI's Bluetooth and 802.11b combo module:
"MSI's Bluetooth and 802.11b combo module using CSR's BlueCore Cambridge, UK - November 4, 2002 - CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) has announced
that Taiwanese motherboard manufacturer Micro-Star International (MSI(TM)) has launched a wireless module combining both Bluetooth and Wireless LAN protocol
802.11b. The module is being supplied with the company's mainboard 845PE Max2 and is available now in all major markets around the world".
Where I can receive the detailed information concerning to this module?

Me interests " wireless module combining both Bluetooth and Wireless LAN protocol

  • I updated my Macbook pro 13in to 10.7.3 and installed the combo and i still get the wifi wake up issue....can anyone help with that

At first my wifi would randomly disconnect. So I googled some things and found this blog and someone said to download the combo update, after I did that; which resolved my problem as of now it's been two days now. I got another problem, everytime I wake my computer it asked me to manually pick a wifi. It might sound rudimentary but I don't expect I really should have to do that on any computer PC or MAC. So could anyone help me with this...is this situation happening to anyone else?

First of all, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options, and set your old user account in "Automatic login". By doing this, your computer will always log in with your old account.

That's my question, right there in the subject line. Thanks!
    Andy

That didn't work, actually. I tried the 10.8.4 combo update and got a message that it requires 10.8. I'm trying to go from 10.6.8 to 10.8.4. Maybe I'm too far behind? Do I need to download all the various "in between" upgrades to get where I want to be? I've never updated my OS before, so thanks for your patience with my questions.

has anyone connected a vcr, dvd, or dvd/vcr combo to their HPE-380T thru the varios i/o ports on the front of their machine?  i have a dvd/vcr combo connected but not sure how the video displayed on the monitor or audio is heard via my speakers.

  • Charging Headset and phone in combo dock

I posted this earlier before there was a Blue tooth forum.
    Any thoughts appreciated
I like to charge my phone from the AC/USB adapter every night with the phone turned off. The combo dock (and the travel cord) has a wierd issue when you want to use it to charge both the headset and the phone. If you turn the phone off in the dock (not sleep) the headset won't charge. If you take the phone out of the dock it will charge. If you put only the headset in the dock it will charge. The only way I can charge both at once with the phone off the way i prefer is to use the dock or travel cable for for the headset and another AC/USB adapter to charge the phone when it's off, defeating the whole purpose of the dock if you want a completely full charge, plus you don't get the days usage because the phone is never off.
With the phone in sleep mode in the dock, not off, I did not get a full charge on the green battery icon , but the plug icon indicated full charge. Charging the phone when it's off on the AC/USB adapter before I got my BT headset, I always got the full green battery and the glow, and based upon today's usage, I shut it off early this morning and turned it back on to get this, thus far (5 hrs 13 mins usage, 7 hours 10 minutes standby BT on,lot's of email, ipod and calls and I have a little over half battery left), battery life (somewhat subjective), didn't appear to be as good as it was charging from the wall when it's off.
Apple tech support said that this was "probably" normal behavior.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    CD3

"First: You can completely turn the iPhone off. Clicking the on/off button on the top of the phone puts it in standbye. Clicking and holding the on/off button for 3-4 seconds brings up a red "power off" slider. If you slide it across the screen, it completely powers off the phone. The next time you click the on/off button, the iPhone takes 15-30 seconds to power back up.
Second: I think the original questioner is correct. It appears that if you completely power off the iPhone, the headset quits recharging. (The headset's amber charge light goes off). When you turn the phone back on, the amber charge light comes back on for the headset.
Question: Does your iPhone recharge while in the cradle and turned off completely? I haven't checked that. I also haven't check to see if the headset actually charges or not. Just noticed the status light goes out that would tend to make you think its not charging."
I think Everyone knows by now that iPhone can be completely shut off. He was referring to shutting it off and putting the phone on the charger (dock), which can not be done.
The phone is set up to sync automatically when connected to the computer, so, the phone powers back on. I think another reason for this is to prevent the computer from going into sleep mode, it drains the battery if it in sleep mode and the phone is connected. This is prevented by the phone syncing to itunes, it will not allow the laptop to go in to sleep mode.
