MS KeyboardCenter prompts fails to start

I have tried all options:
Uninstall requires a CD  - I downloaded the SW from MS site for the keyboard
Re-run setup - Not possible since it is already installed
Removed an HID Keyboard since it could be a conflict
Re-assigned all quick buttons
The questions now: What is left to do...
The Volume Control works perfectly, it is just enoying to have an error message every time I start up the PC.
I use Win 7 Professional.
I see two keyboard classes in Registry, is that a cause?

Hi,
What's the error message when system start up? It would be better to provide a screenshot for this phenomenon.
Is there any error when Keyboard Center failed to start?
Please try to uninsall all keyboard driver in your computer, then restart your computer and reinstall keyboard center again for test.
Note: if you couldn't post a screenshot, please upload it to your network drive and share with us.
Please access to the keyboard official site to download latest driver for test.

  • Hi was told that there was an update for itunes yesterday, when to update and this kept failing, was prompted to uninstall itunes and reinstall this continues to fail message coming up says Apple Mobile device failed to start insufficient  previlieges

Hi yesterday I was prompted to a update to itunes this I tried to do without success failing a number of times. After this I was prompted to unistall itunes and re install this now continues to fail with a message error something like Apple Mobile Devices Failed to start not enough previlieges. Please help is this a Apple issue Iv'e never had any problems before.

I had this same problem this morning. When I tried to run ITunes after the failed upgrade I got a "msvcr80.dll is missing" driver error.
Following the instructions in step 1 of this link:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/msvcr80-dll-not-found-missing -error.htm
got the latest version of ITunes up and running for me.
The only thing that didn't quite work like the instructions said was I couldn't get the Apple Mobile Device Support to uninstall. The uninstall ran and said it was successful, but it was never removed from my list of installed programs. Even w/ that, the full re-install fixed the issue.

  • GNOME Fails to start - Polkit? Main.js? - Receive 'Oops' message.

Been using Arch for years but this is my first problem surprisingly so posting it in this Newbies section.
I have MATE, KDE, and FLUXBOX working fine as desktop environments for years. Thought I would give GNOME a try and no matter what I've tried I cannot get it working. All I get is a sad face with an 'OOPS' message on screen. Although I am prompted to enter my WiFi password presumably from NetworkManager. None of the errors listed below turn up much on Google so I thought I'd turn to the community. Any help getting GNOME working correctly would be very much appreciated.

  • Apple Mobile Device Failed to Start error during installation of iTunes

In an attempt to update my iTunes to the latest version, as prompted by a pop-up, the update failed.  I then tried to open iTunes from my desktop but a pop-up displayed that the program wasn't working properly and that I should re-install iTunes.  I removed the program and then attempted to re-install.  Midway through the install, I receive an error message that "Services "Apple Mobile Device" (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I can either Abort, Retry, or Cancel...none of which completes the install.
    Help.

    Chaps and chapesses,
I too was having the same problem when I tried to update and then unfortunately uninstall and re-install itunes. But, like Nige above me says, you need to uninstall all your Apple software and then re-install itunes.
Have a look at the response given to this forum post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5819470?tstart=0
I did exactly as the turingtest2 said:
I removed all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Then I restarted my computer, and the install of itunes worked like a dream. None of this ignore, abort, cancel nonsense.
Hopefully all your respective versions of itunes will work soon. Cheers Nigel280

  • HT1926 reinstalled itunes after unistalling it due to error message during update. after it was completly unistalled still has the same error message: service "apple mobile device" (apple mobile device) failed to start, verify you have sufficient priviled

I was prompted to update itunes this evening. I did and in the process, it came up with the following error message: Service "apple mobile device" (apple mobile device) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient priviledges to start system services. I unistalled itunes completly and reinstalled but am still getting the same error message. If I click "ignore" the program will finish downloading but will not launch due to "not being installed correctly". Please help, I use this program alot with my first grade classroom and they're expecting their listening center in the morning.

Hey I finally got an older vesion of itunes to work!!! 10.7  x64 for windows 7
After uninstalling all apple products even  quicktime
I had to delete everything from (program files, and program  files x64, program data,)
And all downloads from apple, and I went in to search deleted  other stuff from apple, and itunes
But definently not my itunes library and Playlist
Down loaded 10.7 x64 for windows 7, but checked (do not start  when done)
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my  PC
I ran geek tech tool box same as reg cure pro, also PC Tools  registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my  PC
And wallah... It finally works, and I Love the older version  anyways.
Easier to download and transfer  music!!!!!

  • Yes another user with problem with Apple Mobile Device Support, I am getting the error message: Service 'Apple Mobile Device'(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Vertify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service....

Yes another user with problem with Apple Mobile Device Support, I am getting the error message: Service 'Apple Mobile Device'(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Vertify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service....I hit retry and it came up again. I hit ignore and it prompted me to hit finish so Itunes can open.   I looked thru alot of these posts on here to try and resolve this problem myself but it's not working too well...I downloaded Itunes to my desktop so I can right click it with the program i downloaded called WinRAR. I extracted it and then went into the folder called Itunes64setup. I saw the file called AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 in there so I began to try and download it on it's own. Well that didn't work as I planned and got this error message:
Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't installed on your computer. The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again.
Well I tried to run it again and came up with the same message...I see that some people got great support to help them so I am hoping someone can help me as well. I know "b nor" is very qualfied and hopefully can help me! Please advise what I can do. Thank you

  • TS1609 Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

I recently purchased an Iphone 3gs, and already have an itunes account...Itunes wont recognize my iphone...I have uninstalled and installed itunes 2 times and keep getting this error message.
Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
    How do I correct?

I had the same problem but managed to fix it with Amy ; the apple advisor. Here are the steps!
First of all, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. You can download it from here. These instructions will NOT work for iTunes 8, 9 or 10 anymore. If you’re unsure, just uninstall iTunes then re-install with the latest files.
Next, you need to manually copy the Mobile Device Support directory from a working machine to your Windows 7 computer. Luckily, I have conveniently provided these files for you. You can download them here:
64-Bit iTunes 11.0.2: Please click here to download this directory for 64-bit Windows.
32-Bit iTunes 11.0.2: Please click here to download this directory for 32-bit Windows.
Once you download that file, you need to Unzip it to this directory. IMPORTANT: Make sure you unzip the CONTENTS of the zip file, don’t just copy over the zip file:
    32-Bit: Unzip to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
    64-Bit: Unzip to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
There are a large number of files in that directory, so it may take a little time, please be patient.
So, after unzipping, you should have a new folder “Mobile Device Support” in the Apple folder
64-BIT ONLY STEP: If you have 32-bit Windows, skip this step. It seems that Apple has put the “Drivers” in a separate location (don’t know why). You will need to download the drivers separately. Please click here to download the files for 64-bit Windows.
Once downloaded, you need to Unzip it to this directory. IMPORTANT: Make sure you unzip the CONTENTS of the zip file, don’t just copy over the zip file:
    Unzip to: C:\Program FIles\Common Files\Apple
So, after unzipping, you should have a new folder “Mobile Device Support” in the Apple folder
Next, we have to merge the registry entries that will install the Apple Mobile Device service.
First, download the registry entries that I have provided for you here:
64-bit iTunes 11.0.2: Click here to download the registry entries for 64-bit Windows.
32-bit iTunes 11.0.2: Click here to download the registry entries for 32-bit Windows.
After you download the registry entries ZIP file, unzip it to your desktop and double-click each to install it. Say “Yes” to any prompts or confirmations about adding it to the registry. There are 2 entries, make sure you click BOTH and add BOTH to the registry.
Now, we need to install the correct driver for your iPhone / iTouch. Windows 7 incorrectly identifies the device  as a digital camera. To fix this:
    - Plug in your iPhone / iTouch (don’t have iTunes loaded at this time)
    - Go to Device Manager (Click Start, right-click Computer,  then click Properties. In the window that appears choose “Device Manager” on the left)
    - Scroll down and find “Apple iPod” or “Apple iPhone” or “Apple iTouch”. It will likely be under the “Portable Devices” category.IMPORTANT NOTE: If your device is already listed under “Universal serial Bus Controllers” and not Portable Devices, you can skip these steps and go to Step 7.
    -  Right-click the Apple device and choose “Update Driver Software…”
    - Choose “Browse my computer for driver software” in the window that appears
    -  It will ask you for a location; you want to Browse to this folder (location is the same in 32 and 64 bit Windows):
    32-bit and 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    - Click Next
    - It should find the driver for your device; let it install that driver
Once you complete these steps, reboot your computer. Once you reboot everything should work exactly as expected!

  • I get message: service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start.

iTunes was working fine. I was prompted to download an update. "The update failed, and iTunes has not worked since. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall, but when the reinstall attempts to start services, I get this message: Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Aplle Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." Help!

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • Vista itunes not installed correctly.  Error 7.  Windows error 998.  Itunes helper not installed correctly.  Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start.  Insufficient privileges.

OK, spent about 25 frustrating hours so far this weekend doing everything recommended on numerous threads here -- uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and all Apple items.  Help?
I am using Windows Vista home premium.  After the last iTunes update to 12, it suddenly would not work.  I followed, to a T, all instructions to uninstall all Apples software, in the correct order, reboot, download the latest iTunes, run as administrator, plug in the iPhone 5S, let the driver install, and then finish.
Along the way, I received the error that "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."  I am the administrator and have privileges.  (I previously followed instructions from anther thread to change the read-only privileges for Apple folders, but to no avail.  I also deleted every file with the word Apple in it after I uninstalled everything.)  I did a retry and then an ignore during installation of the AMD error, which I have received 10 times.
The other error I keep getting is:  "iTunesHelper was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7."  I have done that 20 times.
Other frequent error:  "iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 998)."
I followed other threads suggestions to install Windows .NET versions 3.5 and 4.0.  No help.  I also looked for various specific Apple files in various folders for DLLs, etc.  Not present.  I have rebooted 50 times and tried different users on my home account as well.  Nothing.
I also followed instructions to Manage my computer under "services."  Under Apple Mobile Device, the setting is for "automatic."  When I try to get it to "start," the error I receive is "Windows could not start the Apple Mobile Device on Local Computer.  Error 1053:  The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."  (I followed previous thread instructions to use the CMD prompt to stop it.  That caused problems because the status was then "stopped," but I was able to restart it later once I figured that out -- but with the 1053 error again.)
I think I've tried every suggestion in every thread for the four errors I keep getting (AMD failed to start; iTunesHelper Error 7; Windows error 998; and AMD Error 1053.)  I am fresh out of ideas and very frustrated.  I mostly want to make sure I don't lose my music and photos, which I was about to sync.
The only other thing I see that is strange on my computer (which I discovered along the way) is that I cannot receive automatic windows updates and have not had an update since 2012.  My iTunes worked a month ago, so that was obviously not a show-stopper in the past, but perhaps there is a Vista update I need for iTunes 12?  I have service pack 2 for Vista.  I have followed all threads to try to set my windows to automatic update, but no joy there either.  It checks for updates and then fails.  I followed instructions and did run an installation to install windows automatic updates, but that doesn't work either.  I tried 10 times.  It runs and takes a while, but is never able to successfully update windows.  It says "checking for updates" for a while.  Then it dies.  My last update was 6/19/12 (failed) and it says the most recent check was 6/22/12, but I have tried 20 times on 10/31/14 and 11/1/14.
When asked to "Install new Windows Update software" to check for updates, I have done so 10 times.  It downloads and installs, but never works.
It's an old Dell desktop computer from 2006, and I'm using an iPhone 5S.  I am fresh out of ideas.  Anyone really smart here?
    Thanks.
    Tristan

Upon latest reboot, I also received this error message:  "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).  Click OK to terminate the application."
Then I got the iTunesHelper not installed correctly error again.
Then the "Windows can't check for updates" error message.
Then "Apple Push has stopped working."  Then a quick DEP error message that disappeared but said something about Apple Push being closed.
I'm also getting denials of service logged by McAffee.  Not sure if I'm getting a virus/attack or not.
Not sure if it's a problem with my old desktop machine, my Windows Vista updates, or iTunes, but I'm very frustrated and out of ideas to try.
    Thank you for your help!
    Tristan

  • This application has failed to start because SapNi.dll was not found

On the advice, good advice, of Melanie and Lars, here is a new thread for my question.
I'm assisting with a migration of SAPDB, on Windows Server 2003, to MaxDB 7.6.xx on Solaris 10 SPARC.
I can connect to my SAP DB 7.3.0.35 using Database Manager 7.4.3.23 as superdba. Now I'm trying to use the dbmcli.
I go to the server and pop open a cmd prompt and try it via dbmcli:
    dbmcli -d sdb -u superdba,<password>
And I get a Windows dialog box that says
This application has failed to start because SapNi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    Hello,
actually, the SUPERDBA user only has ONE valid password. Although he is able to perform admin tasks and to execute SQL statements, there are not two passwords for this user!
So if you are able to connect with that user with dbmcli and not with sqlcli or loadercli, there seems to be something wrong with your system/users. Maybe the user called SUPERDBA on your system is not really the SYSDBA but a 'normal' dbm user.
When you connect with that user with dbmcli, please execute the following commands:
    sql_execute select user from dual
    sql_execute select SYSDBA from dual
    sql_execute select * from users
Can you also connect with user control with dbmcli? You might want to check the default password (control).
Regarding the ni.dll problem: If I understand that correctly, you installed Database Studio locally on your PC. Did you also install any othe MaxDB software on that server? When you try to use dbmcli to connect to a remote database, you'll have to specify the -n <hostname> option. Or did you get that dll error on the database server itself?
Database Studio cannot be used to administer databases of version 7.3. You'll have to use DBMGUI or dbmcli for that.
    Best regards, Melanie
Hi Melanie, Thanks for the response.
I cannot use dbmcli at the moment. I get the Windows dialog box saying
This application has failed to start because SapNi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I am using dmcli on the Windows 2003 Server with my SAP DB 7.3 installed. Here is the version of dbmcli that I'm using.
    C:\sapdb\SDB\db\bin>dbmcli -V
    OK
    version,os,dbroot,logon,code,swap
    "7.6.06","WIN32","C:\Program Files\sdb\7606",True,ASCII,2
I'm going to try to do what the error message tells me and uninstall and re-install my DB management applications.
    Thanks,
    Rich

  • This application has failed to start because msvcr71.dll was not found

    Hi,
I just downloaded the Flex 3.3 DK from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flex3sdk
Once unzipped I went to run this:
    C:\DATA\My Documents\_jim\flash\open-source\_Software\flex_sdk_3\bin\mxmlc.exe
When I ran it, I got this error
This application has failed to start because msvcr71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem
I searched on Google, and found this:
    http://www.flashdevelop.org/community/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2932&start=15
So from there, downloaded "msvcr71.dll", placed here:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32
And ran the following in the Command prompt: regsvr32 "msvcr71.dll".
When I did that, I got this error message:
msvcr71.dll was loaded but the DLLRegisterServer entry point was not found
    The file was not registered
I saw that the DLL is related to Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime, so I deleted the dll I saved manually, and ran the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) from here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/thankyou.aspx?familyId=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2b c1bf&displayLang=en
Once done, the dll was not placed in the System32 folder.
I tried the manual install of the DLL again, but on trying to register it again, got the same error message.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Seems like I might have hit a brick wall.
    Thanks

What operating system? 32-bit or 64-bit?
Which version and edition of SQLDeveloper (with/without jre, 64/32-bit)
    What JDK version?

  • Systemd-logind occasionally fails to start

    Hi,
I am running Arch with Cinnamon started by mdm-display-manager. I had this running for quite some time without an issue.
Recently an issue popped out - OCCASIONALLY systemd-logind fails to start and I get stuck on boot screen. This happens maybe once in 5-10 boots. I have to do hard reset afterwards. CTL+ALT+DEL won't work, I can not switch to other console and I have no network to SSH to that machine.
Other than that, system starts just fine.
I am not sure, how to debug this further and would appreciate advice.

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. systemd-logind sporadically fails to start, therefore preventing the login prompt to appear. Resetting the machine is the only solution in that case. Most of the time, the system start works without problems though. Here are a few relevant lines from my logs:
    # journalctl --unit=systemd-logind | grep -C50 'Connection timed out'
    -- Reboot --
Apr 22 10:16:36 deltaflyer systemd[1]: Starting Login Service...

  • JDEV 10.1.3 fails to start after installing updates

After attempting to install the latest updates for JDeveloper 10.1.3 (the updates failed to install), JDeveloper fails to start.
The platform is Windows XP Professional SP1.
Using jdevw.exe, the "splash screen" is the only thing that starts, and it just sits there until you click on it (that closes it!).
Going to a command prompt, and typing jdev.exe, it returns a bunch of errors, most of them are either java.lang.NoSuchMethodException or java.lang.NullPointerException. Each of those errors is accompanied by about 20-25 lines of additional information.
I have searched the forums, and found some similar problems, but did not find a solution that works for me.
    Please help!

    Thanks for your help.
    Here is what I did:
    a) Renamed the previous JDEV 10.1.3 install directory (so I could use that name when I reinstalled JDEV)
    b) Reinstalled JDEV 10.1.3
    c) Installed all updates from the Official Oracle site only. This time, it was successful.
As for things to "carry over" from the old install: I had to copy my Oracle connection information for connection pooling, and I had to reconfigure the CVS connection. The previous applications in "mywork", however, were still in the directory for the previous version (10.1.2) of JDEV, as JDEV did not move it even though them even though they were migrated from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3.

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME WITH WHAT TO DO?

1)Do u  have a third party security software installed?
This could be due to that... What are the different virus scans you are already having.. there may be third party firewall or security product
which is interfering the windows firewall.. disable one by one your security scanners and try to up the windows firewall
(2)if you dont have such firewall product installed,  this could be due to malware or some other problem...
if you have an antivirus solution, update it's definitions, and do a full system scan..
If you dont have a antivirus solution or your one is not working, use one of the recommended tools (use only one of
    them at a time)
