MS Outlook 2007 takes very long to load after iTunes update

After updating iTunes - MS Outlook 2007 takes forever to load. If I uninstall iTunes problem fixed. Reinstall iTunes problem returns - any ideas?

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that webpages takes so long to load(some webpages can't even load) after upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2.
Which server has been upgraded to Windows Server 2008 R2? And what is the OS version before upgrading?
>If I add Fios DNS on DHCP's DNS, the webpages load so fast.
I am wondering that if the webpages mean Internet webpages. Check the settings on DNS server which connects to external network about forwarders or root hints. Or you may configure the Fios DNS as forwarder of your DNS server.
>I can't use the computer name to access to other internal sites. I have to use IP address instead.
Open the DNS server and confirm that if corresponding DNS entries are correct. Besides, open CMD, type the command below and each line end with enter:
Nslookup
set d2
<computer name you want to access>
Post the result here, and also provide the ipconfig /all result here.
>Workstations can't get the update Group Policy from DCs.
Make sure that you are running the most current drivers for your network adapter. If you are already running the most current drivers for your network adapter, run command line to update GP:
gpupdate
If any problem, post the result/error message. And check the event viewer to see if related log there.

Eve Wang

  • Interactive form takes very long to load

    Hi Gurus,
I have developed an interactive form with several Dropdowns and text fields. I am using WebDynPro ActiveX drop down and binded it to context which is of SimpleType and populated from backend. My form is taking very long to load and once I save it locally the also it takes too long to open.
    Below is the config used:
    - Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0
    - Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7
    - NWDS 7.0.14
    - xACF ver 711_0
    - J2EE server 2004s SP12
Previously I was using WDP Native Dropdowns and popuulated then without simple type, that time form was loading finely (in 10 sec).
Please help me out in resolving this issue.

  • Hi, I am running the latest version of Firefox and at times it fails to connect to the internet. This is a intermittent problem. It also (sometimes) take very long to open after I open Firefox?

Firefox does not always connect to the internet or is very slow to open. It is not with specific sites and when it does happen I have to either wait or shut down and restart the computer. It does not happen with my other browsers. (Google chrome)

I have been having the same problem, it's as if Firefox's internet connection is broken at intermittent intervals. I tried disabling all my plugins, creating a new profile, everything on the page below and even updated to version 8, but nothing helped. I think it's been happening for a weeks or so, maybe since an update(?) but it seemed a lot worse today. It's not my connection as I've been using Chrome as an alternative which works fine. I have not tried rebooting my machine.

  • Safari 5.1 not loading after iTunes update

I have a Safari problem after updating iTunes. All browsers and mail programs work, just not Safari. Safari will work on my Guest account, or I can use an alternative browser, but that not a solution, just a short term fix.
Same problem has occured on my mac server from updating iTunes. When I check Network Diagnostics (server and client), the bottom two lights are yellow for a brief second, they turn green and I receive a "A network settings change has been detected." Still the problem persists, Safari just hangs without connection. An the same yellow to green plus "fixed" message appears when I reenter network settings.

Safari will work on my Guest account,
Could be a third party Safari add on preventing Safari pages from loading, especially since an alternate browser works ok and it's just your user account that's effected.
Follow the instructions for troubleshooting > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

    OK. If you believe that.
When the disk is starting to die it can be bad for a moment and then be good for a while. If there was no problem while you were checking it of course it shows up good.
I tell you those are the signs of a disk that is about to die.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. • Interactive forms takes too long to load - sometimes crashes reader.

    Hi Gurus,
I'm just wondering if anyone have this problem?
I just configured ADS and created a sample WD program to display an interactive form, the form is not complex, only 2 text fields and an image.
But when I deploy or run the program, the interactive form container hangs and take very long to process before displaying.
After I save the PDF file to a local drive, when I try to open it, it will take very long and sometimes crash my system.
Even when I click on "PDF Preview" to view the form in NWDS it take very long too.
At first I thought it could be due to my system and I open downloaded PDF file on other PCs, but the problem occurs too in those PCs.
Using Acrobat Reader 8.1.2, then downgraded to 8.1.1, still no avail.
Everytime I open the PDF or WD loads the PDF, when I check the Task Manager the process of AcroRdr32 will hog the system processes and use up the memory. I have no problems with other PDF files, only those generated by the WD application gives problems.
Someone hit the same problem? Any advise? Could it be the ACF or Adobe lifecycle issues?
Please help. Thanks for all answers.
    Best Regards,
    Jansen

    Hi Jansen,
If you are using Adobe Reader 8.1.* or above and activex controls in your form, you need to install the latest version of ACF and that will resolve the issue. And do remember to uninstall your old version of Adobe Reader first and then install Reader 8.1.* freshly and after installing it proceed with ACF installation. You have to follow the sequence.
For ACF installation you may read  Note 766191 - Active Component Framework Installation.

  • Retrieving free/busy information from the server takes very long time

Hello, we are running Outlook 2010 32-bit in Windows 7 64.bit, and  have encountered a strange problem, whenever we want to book
a resource (i.e. conference room) from Scheduling assistant, it takes very long time, sometimes even more than a minute to see the utilization of the room, it being stuck at "Updating schedule information. Retrieving free/busy information from the server"
The interesting thing is that most newly deployed PCs exhibits this same behavior, while older machines with basically the same setup gets the availability information almost immediately.
It is unclear whether this is a server setting or desktop issue, as all new Windows 7/Outlook machines that are deployed from the WDS-server exhibits the same slow behavior.
Please advise any troubleshooting steps to investigate the very slow retrieval lookup of free/busy information from the Exchange server.

    Hi,
Does this issue occur on OWA?
If no, it means the issue is mainly related to the Outlook client.

  • Maps take so long to load

When i am even on wifi the maps and gps take so long to load. Anyone else?

Very probably because many devices are sharing the same Internet pipe and you're getting only a portion of the total capacity.
I suggest that you obtain the free "SpeedTest" app and compare data rates at home and elsewhere.

TestStand 3.1 sequence takes very long (4 minutes) to load. Same sequence takes a few seconds only at another PC.
The delay is at a Thread.PostUIMessage ActiveX call.

    Hi,
Do you have some network paths in you TestStand Search Directories, if so you might try removing them.
