  • IPhone - outlook Calender sync

Hello I am using a private Iphone which which I synchronize with iCloud and my Private Mac. However my company calender is on a Windows Notebook using Outlook. Do you knwo a way to synchronize my business Outlook calender with my IPhone without connect the Iphone with this business notebook?
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Best regards,

Alright... I think I have worked this out.
Clearing history alone was not enough. I had to clear the history THEN reboot the phone.  My events seem to be coming though now. Interesting though... on events coming from iphone to outlook the right click mouse menu is disabled. If I want to delete, edit or alter that event in outlook I have to left click and actually open it.

  • 6120C Outlook Calender Sync

    Hi All,
I have sychronised my outlook Calender, through PC Suite, with my phone and all is well except that the phone does not display any events that are tagged as an 'All Day' event in Outlook????
Appointments that have a specific time range are displayed OK.
    Any ideas to fix

That is a known issue and there is no way to fix it unfortunately.

  • Updating firmwear has totally screwed up Outlook calender syncing

I'm seeing a fair few other people on this forum with similar problems (and no response from Apple - hey guys, where's your focus on customer serviec and great function ality gone ...?!?). Basically, my phone up dated its software last week and now my outlook calender imports into my phone as random nonesense - days are jumbled up, times move about, meetings disappear, etc. I've tried resetting my phone twice but all that does is change the pattern of random meetings - ie. what's imported is stil wrong, it's just that everything is jumbled up in different places.
Clearly there's a bug in the software update. Apple - finger out please?
Any advice from other users greatly appreciated ...

The process may vary among phones, but on the Bionic:
    Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
    Press volume up/down simultaneously
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select

  • Having Issues with Outlook Calender Syncing on a BB Curve on Nextel

My boss at work recently got the BB Curve from nextel and we have gotten the device setup pretty much the way he wants it. There is a small issue though that when he tries to sync his callender it gets to the same spot, event number 31 throws out a non-descript error message and bombs out. Its not a deal breaker for him but it would be nice to get solved just because it would be nice to know why its doing this.
Has anyone experianced this? As a side note I dont know if it matters but it synsc fine at home but the issues are at work and at work his Outlook is coming off of exchange... Could that be a issue? or could it be a date range issue?

OK...that's good information, thank you. But that "error code" would really be very helpful...there are many of those odd codes inside of the public KB's, so it would really help in narrowing down the issue (assuming the code you are getting is in the KB's, of course).
Also, here's a KB that might help you with troubleshooting:

  • Outlook calender sync stopped working

3 of our office computers stopped syncing outlook to our Iphones 2 PC's are running outlook 2003 (both 3G Iphones) and 1 PC is running Outlook 2007 (Iphone 4). we have tried resetting the sync history also have tried shuting down norton as all 3 PC's have they same Norton. it has worked fine in the pastI am not sure when this started my Boss said his hasnt for the last week so I tried mine as I do not sync that offten.  Itunes shows it syncs but it does not ever show up.

    Hi Lobwedge,
Are you using more than one profile in Outlook? iTunes will sync contacts and calendars with the default profile.
Do calendar events sync to the iPhone in another user account? This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1681 will walk you through creating a test user account.
If the issue is not present in the test account, the issue is most likely content or configuration.
If the issue is present in the test account, the issue is most likely related to the iTunes or Outlook installation.
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2481 provides additional troubleshooting tips.

  • Outlook Calender Sync fails...

    Hi there
    My setup is as follows:
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    PC Suite 6.70.22
    Outlook 2003 (Office 2003 SP2)
    Nokia 9300i
Note that all my programs etc. are in Danish, so I have made a rough translation of all the messages ;O)
Synchronization works flawlessly on my work PC (same specs as above)
I can get it to sync my contacts, but when sync'ing the calendar, it stays at "Recieving ... 66/70" and stays there forever... on the phone it says:
    Program closed
    Program: Sync
    Reason code: Agenda Model
    Reason number: 10
... and the sync symbol just keeps on spinnning!?
I have tried both through USB cable and Bluetooth, tried "Slow synchronization", etc. etc.
    Please advice... )

  • Outlook Calendar sync failure after upgrade to DM 5.0

I just updated the Desktop Manager to 5.0 (from 4.3 I think). After updating DM it wanted to upgrade the Blackberry software to 4.5 which I agreed to.
Now when I sync I get no errors but items from the Blackberry are not being added to Outlook. I tried going back to DM 4.7, and the backup of the Blackberry made before the installs but it has not helped. I’ve cleared the folder in appdata\research in motion several times and tried syncing again. I also tried doing a one-way sync from device to Outlook. This resulted in a test event (only in Outlook) being deleted from Outlook but still no new events from the Blackberry being added to Outlook.
    Any help would be appreciated

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
I suggest the following steps to completely start over cleanly (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install DTM to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:
KB17022 How to configure organizer applications for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Hopefully that will get things going again.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Birthday Reminders still showing up despite being unticked? (Outlook Calender)

Hi, I have my Windows 8.1 Outlook calender synced with my iPhone (linked through my hotmail address). The reminders for one always show up on the other when they are synced and on wifi which is great. However there is one main problem. The birthday calender under the outlook section and also under the main section are unticked. But I still seem to get notifications at midday every day about whos birthday it is the following day. This is annoying as my outlook is linked to everything, i.e multiple inboxes and facebook etc so I get a notification from pretty much every single contact I have. This also is annoying when using siri to create and event as at the end he will say 'there are already 7 events lined up for today which overlap do you wish for me to proceed'. That 7 being the birthday reminders. I dont know if this is a small glitch or what but it is starting to get really annoying. Any advice would be great!
    Thanks.

    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

  • Outlook to iPhone sync failure – Sync suddenly stopped working for calendar events but continued for contacts and notes.   Finally Fixed!!!  SUPPORT TEAM – PLEASE SEE THIS – Complete explanation of cause and correction steps.

The issue:  Outlook to iPhone sync failure – Sync suddenly stopped working for calendar events but continued for contacts and notes.   Finally Fixed!!!
SUPPORT TEAM – PLEASE SEE THIS – Complete explanation of cause and correction steps.
The cause:  It is now clear what caused this problem.  For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.).  In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour  events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event.  I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom:  Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes.  I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts:  I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance.  From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012.  Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other.  Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious.  MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things.  We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix:  After 18 months of frustration, MANY  hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync  problem and it indicated all day events were related.  I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events,  sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync.  It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013

Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).
It will recursively remove all '_ModGrp...' folders
    Sub RemoveFolders_Click()
        Dim oOutlook As Outlook.Application
        Set oOutlook = New Outlook.Application
        Set objNameSpace = oOutlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
        Call CleanFolders(objNameSpace.Folders)
    End Sub
    Sub CleanFolders(objFolders As Outlook.Folders)
        For i = objFolders.Count To 1 Step -1
            If Left(objFolders(i).Name, 7) = "_ModGrp" Then
                objFolders.Remove( i )
            Else
If Not objFolders(i).Folders Is Nothing Then
                    Call CleanFolders(objFolders(i).Folders)
                End If
            End If
        Next i
    End Sub

  • I can sync icloud calender with pc based outlook calender.  But contacts do not sync.  Could anyone help me with this?

I can sync icloud calender with pc based outlook calender.  Photos also sync.  But can not sync contacts.  Already checked contact boxes in icloud and and on my PC.  Also tried to reset Document & Data on icloud.  Could anyone help me on that?

That's what I did... switching on iCloud calender in the panel leads to the following: The existing local Outlook calendar gets mved to an new iCloud calendar. Thus the local calendar is empty.
Given that iTunes dows not allow my whife's phone to be synced with that iCloud calendar (only the local acalendar appears in the list of available calendars in iTunes; syncing all dioes not include the iCloud one) this leads to an empty alendar on my whife's phone.
    Hence the question how to
    a) get iTunes to include the iCloud calendar to sync with the iPhone 2g (preferred) or
    b) enable a local MS Outlook internal sync between the two calendars.

  • Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

OK here is a problem I have with my calender- all the events are added mutible times for each event- at least 4 of each. So how do I get all of these mutiable events down to just one event. Now this also includes hollidays and personel events  on the calender from outlook. All this I think happened after sync to Cloud- not sure, could have happened after OS 5 update!!! Now this is on my iPhone 4. Now going to my calender on my home computer in outlook no events or holidays are showing in the outlook my calender. If I go to the icloud calender it has mutiable events and holidays like on my iPhone. Now how do I fix this without causing a problem with my other programs?

  • TS3999 My Outlook Calender wont sync with iCloud/iPad/iPhone?

My Outlook Calender wont sync with iCloud/iPad/iPhone? despite doing everything as per the support page. I keep on clicking the Add in but it wont "take"?
It use to,  but no matter what I try nothing works. Using Windows 7. HELP!

    This step is not clear:
"Open a secure website to see if you can access ports 80 and 443. Outlook requires access to port 443 to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Contacts servers."
The link takes me to an Apple page but which has nothing to do with ports.  And there is nothing to explain what it is I am looking for, how to look for it, and how to change it if needed.
    Also, this step:
"Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices."
iCloud automatically set up a "[email protected]...." account for me so I see that one plus my original email used to open my Apple account.  And the apple products show my settings under both identities.
Make sure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook
This add-in is disabled because it doesn't allow Outlook to function properly.
    Thanks!
