Ms Project shows wrong time duration

Hi, I'm new user for ms Project. I realized there is something wrong with the duration. it should be 3 day, but it was written down 5 days instead.
Task Name
Duration
Start
Finish
Chemical Cleaning Phase
5 days
Fri 7/10/15
Sun 7/12/15
does anybody know how to solve this??
i want to upload my screeshot, but it I can't, because:
Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your
account
I'm sure that my account has been verified. how to solve this too?
thank you very much.

Hi,
did you apply any changes on calendar "Standard" or a different calendar to either task or project? Or did you change Hours/Day in File - Options - Schedule?
When you enter 5 days, it is calculated as 5 x "Hours by day" as defined in Options. Presumable this is 40hrs. Then project is checking the available working hours defined for this task (if you defined a Task Calendar for this task) or as defined
for Project Calendar (Project - Change Working Time).
I get the same result by just applying 24hours Calendar for my project:
Does that explain what you see?
Regards
Barbara
P.s: No idea why you can't upload images.

  • Date In Terminal Shows Wrong Time

I have a user (iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 10.6.7, 6GB RAM) complaining that Entourage is reporting messages being sent/received 5 hours past the actual time. Sure enough, a test message I sent at 2:50 pm shows in her inbox as being sent/received at 7:50 pm. Checked the Date & Time settings in System Preferences, and all looks good & proper. When a file is created or modified, the time reported in Finder is correct. But when I open Terminal and type in the date command, it spits back a time exactly 7 hours in the future -- Fri Sep 30 19:50:33 UTC 2011.
I've run a permissions cleanup on the drive, and the problem persists. Next step I guess is to trash a few prefs files, but I'm not sure whether doing that will affect the date/time that Terminal is picking up. Anybody have any quick tricks to rectify this issue, or maybe to set the date/time through Terminal?

Ok, I think I have it fixed, kinda... The above response got me to pushing the time zone setting around the map, and I noticed that what is reported in Terminal didn't always match what I had set in the Preference panel. It seems to be associated with the city that's selected in the "Closest City:" pull-down menu to some degree; originally I had just typed in the local city name (Sioux Falls, SD) as I have on the other ~20 machines on the network. When I set it to Merida, Mexico, Terminal finally reported CDT correctly, and now Terminal (and Entourage) show the correct time.
So I guess that's just a workaround; still would be nice to fix it for good.

  • IPhone's clock showing wrong time zone

I just flew from Davenport, IA to Detroit -- from Central to Eastern time. When I got off the plane and turned the phone back on, its clock still showed (and still shows now) the current time in Central time. I am connected to AT&T, and have made a call. Why isn't the phone aware that it has changed time zones??
    Thanks,
    DM

Thanks Jim. It was indeed set to "OFF," but I could've sworn I had it set to "ON" on my previous iPhone (3G). When I bought the new 3GS, I restored the settings from the old one. Maybe that setting didn't survive the journey...

  • Find My Friends notifications show wrong time.

I set up Find My Friends in IOS 6 to send me an email when I leave my house in the morning using the new geofencing feature.  I'm getting the emails but it's showing that I left my house four hours earlier than I did.  For instance, I left home this morning at 8:54am.  When I got to work and saw the email it showed that "Rob left ------------------- Rd Lincolnton, NC United States at 4:54 AM".  I have the correct time set on both my iPad and iPhone.  Set Automatically is ON and my Time Zone is "New York".  Any idea why this is happening?
    Thanks!

I have never gotten this to even send me 1 email.   Sorry for the useless comment but I'd like to get notified on updates for this one.

  • Time Title is showing wrong time in iMovie 11

When I use the "Time/Date" title in iMovie 11, the time is always 3 hours behind the time of the clip. The time shown in the "Time/Date" Title sreen is definitely wrong by a couple of hours.
I have not found anyting to adjust it, except adjusting the time stamp of the clip to that specific offset, which will corrupt the time stamp of all my clips.
Computer system time and the system time of the camcorder are the same.
Please help to solve this problem

    Venkat,
Weird - so it's adding 9 hours to the actual data?
    Regards

Settings - Date and Time - do you have correct Time Zone, is Auto Update Time Zone On, is Set Date and Time Automatically set to On ?.
Take another picture then check Properties, other pictures may have 2 dates - created and edited.

  • Invite from Lotus Traveler shows wrong time zone

Question: why is the time zone always showing as Hawaii on calendar entries sent using Lotus Traveler and which I accept on my iPad?
    Here are the facts:
    1.  I am an iCloud user (on my personal iPad and Mac)
    2.  I access work emails/calendar on my work iPad using Lotus Traveler
    3.  I send an invite from my work calendar on my work iPad and accept the invite into an iCloud caldendar on my personal iPad.
Result:  Invite shows correctly on my calendar on my personal iPad but when I open Calendar on my Mac, the invite will ALWAYS shows as "Hawaii" timezone.
I've tried all combinations of timezone support on/off etc. The problem also does not present itself if I accept the invite from Calendar on my Mac.
I've taken alook at the .ics file that is origanlly sent and the TZID is "GMT +10" format as opposed to "Australia/Sydney". If I look at the .ics file on my Mac, it as "Hawaii" as the TZID.
    Do anyone have any ideas?
There are a few posts of similar issues from a few years ago, but the issue seems to have been resolved in previous OS versions.

I don't have an anwer to the previous in this thread but I believe a related question. I recently received two invites to meetings from a Lotus Notes v6 user. Each repeated weekly on a Tuesday for 10 weeks and one meeting followed the other. The first posted to iCal perfectly. The second posted a meeting on the Tuesday in the first week at the correct time. The first repeat however posted 24 hours later (not a week later) and then repeat weekly but on the Wednesday (not Tuesday) but at the correct time.
I have examined the ics script of both meetings. The only difference appears to be that the meeting that posted correctly had DTSTART and DTEND both on the same date (in Universal Time) where as the one that incorrectly posted the repeats the meetings spanned midnight in Universal Time. Are there any patches or ways to fix this. Can I edit the script and then re-post it to iCal so as to "trick" iCal into placing this on the correct day?
I have copied the header script for the meeting that behave correctly below:
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    X-LOTUS-CHARSET:UTF-8
    VERSION:2.0

    ATTENDEE;ROLE=CHAIR;PARTSTAT=ACCEPTED
The header for the script that does not operate correctly for the repeats is copied below:

  • ICloud email messages show wrong time?

The time zone setting in iCloud is correct, but my email messages show an hour earlier than the time they are actually received.

Do it do that for all senders of messages?
    You can try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Delete the account from the iPod and recreate the account on the iPod.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • MacBook Pro showing wrong time

    Hi,
When I click 'set date and time automatically' in my system preferences on my macbook pro, the time is wrong-an hour behind.  I live in England, so have set the timezone to London, choosing BST and also chosen 'Apple Europe' under the date and time option in system preferences.  I have got used to setting the time manually, however, every time I sync my iphone, the time on there gets changed to an hour forward.
I can't work out what's causing this, and why my 'automatic date and time' on my macbook pro is incorrect.
Running 10.5.8 os x on a macbook pro, (haven't installed bootcamp.)
    Thanks for your help,
    Oli

Have you tried "Set the time zone automatically using current location"?

  • IPod Touch shows wrong time when synched with iCal

I have a new iPod Touch and I have to say that the iCal synch doesn't work correctly. The touch is a French version and whenever i synch the iCal it changes the time into European 24-hour time. My 9 am appointments are shown as being at 21h (9pm). The time is correct on the iCal but I had to use weekly display and drag and drop it to get it that way because entering the hours numerically didn't work.
I remember too well giving up on iCal years ago for these adorable little quirks. Anybody have a solution? Thanks.

Just a follow up on this questions (which by the way no one answered). The iPod eventually corrected the time display. It happened a few hours after the first synchronization.

Second time I've been late to work in two weeks thanks to Apple ** programming!
First time when I upgraded to 4.1 and the alarms stopped working if they were set to go off every working day.
Then again today when the time unaccountably rolled back to be Sunday the 7th at 5am instead of WEdnesday 10th at 9am. Waiting for the day I'm out of contract on this rubbish so I can switch to a phone with a decent OS!

  • Why does Incoming email on ipad2 suddenly show wrong time?

The date and time on incoming mail on my iPad2 email app has suddenly stopped tracking the time set on the device.  I have never had this problem before.  The dates  and time on mail in my webmail are accurate, but when I receive them via the iPad email, they the are about 4 1/2 hours late.  If I send myself a test email the time stamp is about 4  1/2 hours off as well.  I am running iOS 6.x   I have location services on and have tried setting the time manually by city and automatically.   No change.
I pull mail from SpamCop.net, Gmail and me.com  All are dated incorrectly when they appear in my inbox.
