MS Silverlight Plugin for WebOs?

I keep on running into websites and ect that require Microsoft Silverlight. Is there a way to install this? Is this on the roadmap? This is starting to get pretty important.
It really should be part of the browser and not some soft of APP because this pops up often lately on multimedia sites. (Example:Netflix, Skygo(Germany), Web Radio Streams and ect...) besides, if the browser can do it then we do not need a stinking app.

Silverlight is becoming a popular resource for the web development. This application would have to be written by Microsoft for the Web OS operating system. I'm not sure if Microsoft would be willing to do that.

How do I get Silverlight Plugin to work on new Macbook Pro?

Got a new MacBook Pro and tried to watch Netflix but I was prompted to install the Silverlight Plugin. I have the Silverlight dmg on my desktop but when I open it, the only thing there is the pkg file. Please help!

I have it on my mac from the latest Office for mac. It even updated after it was installed. My issue is that when I try to log in to my accont, it tries and then logs straight back out.
Any ideas on what's wrong?

The Silverlight plugin crashes whenever I try and watch a video on Netflix. I'm using Vista 64-bit, and I'm running the most recent update of Silverlight. This is a persistent problem for me (i.e. I've been unable to watch Netflix in Firefox, including the most recent stable releases).

I was getting this error and tried everything. The only thing that worked was uninstalling Silverlight 4.0 and going back to 3.0, which I got from oldapps(dot)com

In using my Hotmail Windows Live e-mail account I can't upload a pic as an Attachment. In testing my Silverlight Plugin it tests okay. I've sent many "Crash Reports". Would prefer sending an e-mail to explain all aspects of this prob.

Microsoft silverlight plugin does not work in my iMac. Any suggestion on how to make it work?

I occasionally attend webinars and in order to view and listen the site I use requires silverlight plugin. I used it in the past without any issues. Now even after I updated it yo the latest version it does not work. Is there a known issue of incompatibility with OSX mavericks? Does anyone have an idea on what the problem could be? I have an intel iMac and I use Safari. Thank you.

Simple, the best option is to redownload and install the latest version. This will overwrite the old files and fix the possible corrupt ones. If you are experiencing any problems on certain sites follow this next step:
Goto: Safari > Preferences > Extensions and make sure that extensions are enabled and that particular extension (silverlight) is enabled.

It doesn't matter what I do I still get the plugin to crash. I've removed every trace of Internet Explorer in the registry. Download fresh versions of Mozilla and Silverlight. I uninstalled both of them and cleaned any lingering files. Reinstalled Mozilla, and Silverlight. Same error. No more movies for me. :>/ See entry below.

If I have plugins already installed, then switch to Firefox, do I need to download plugins for FF in order to use Adobe, Picasa, itunes, etc?

I am switching to Firefox today from Windows Explorer. On my computer I have programs such as itunes, Picasa, Adobe, Java. Do I need to download plugins of these programs specifically for Firefox?
Also, I have been using Windows Security Essentials for my computer. Can I still use that? Does Firefox provide security such as a firewall, virus protection and automatic updates? If I need to make a change, what do you recommend?

The programs that you mention likely have a plugin for Firefox, so you do not need to take action other than to check on "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" if the plugin in detected and set to "Ask to Activate" or "Always Activate"

You are only missing the Shockwave Flash plugin for Firefox.
Firefox uses a different (NPAPI) Flash plugin than IE (ActiveX), so make sure to install the Flash Player plugin for Firefox.

Flash plugin for Firefox: it has trouble after 6-9 hours!

Vista32 sp2, 4GB Ram, ALL Adobe Flash plugin for FF versions, now 11.1.102.55.
perhaps dxdiag.txt needed?
Issue:
when Firefox 3.6 (in the past) or 8.0 (now) remains open, after 6-9 hours I become issues with Flash plugin for FF.
ALL YT videos (240p up to 1080p) playback with jumpiness!! with or without acceleration.
ActiveX for IE9 works fine on the same machine. No problem with Silverlight in FF.
Solution: kill the flash plugin process in task manager >refresh the YT video's page > playback again ok.
why the flash plugin is fatigued after 6 or 9 hours?
is it able to handle good the memory usage?
May you want to suggest me a workaround to get the video's palyback smoothly even if Firefox is running a lot of time (without killing the process in task manager)?
or could I to wait for an update of flash plugin in the future that adresses this issue?

Yes the same problem in Firefox 8.0 too
(in my old FF 3.6: no issues regarding the jumpiness in Silverlight, therefore I think that this was/is perhaps an issue in "Flash player for FF" only: jumpiness after 6-9 hours usage).
But the new FF 8.0 offers the same behaviour after 6-9 hours.

Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac OS X shows as an unknown plugin, yet I got it through mozilla! What's its latest version?

Firefox Plugin check says:

yet I got it via Mozilla plugins.
So it's in the Firefox data base. What's the latest version?

1. Mozilla didn't supply that Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac OSX, it is probably part of your PDF reader program, or maybe it came with your Mac operating system.
2. Lack of Plugin version information is something Mozilla has been working on for that Plugin Check page. The problem with fixing it is that there is no standard among Plugin developers for making the version number of their Mozilla Plugin available for Mozilla to locate and display. Silverlight.plugin & Safari

My wife was having problems with Hotmail when using Safari, it would not forward mail plus a couple of other problem with some of the other functions. I called Hotmail, which does not have any technical online help, and was redirected to a website Techvedic Technoligies that examined the problem and said they could fix it for $139.00! I respectively declined! I then called Apple, since the Macbook Air is still under the 90 day limit for free help. They were unable to solve the problem. I then remembered that Silverlight.plugin found in:Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins has caused some problems in the past. I went in and deleted it and Hotmail works fine! Hope this will help someone else.

I have Java 1.6.0 installed in the OS at:

I googled how to configure Java Plugin for FF 6 for Fedora 13 and the trick was to create a soft link from /home/<userID>/.mozilla/plugins to the above libnpjp2.so

Setting up the Apache HTTP Plugin for several BEA Servers

Hey together,
i would like to setup the apache http plugin for several bea-servers.
I am running apache 1.x on my hp-ux system. There are 2 bea-server-domains on this box and both should be proxied by the plugin simultaneously.
As far as i know it isn't possible to run 2 or more instances of the apache webserver. I heard of virtualhosts, maybe i should try this one out.
Somebody knows how to deal with this problem or does any1 know if virtualhosts could cope with my needs?

Ok here i am again and i'm stuck. Here my wishes again:
there are 2 weblogic-instances (domains) running on a machine xxx, instance A listening on port 8041, instance B listening on port 8051. I want to configure apache virtualhosts in combination with weblogic plugins, so that request with /ld will be sent to instance A while requests with /ldd will be sent to instance B. Both are no clusters. Therefore i tried it with the following configuration (httpd.conf):

Can I do this with a plugin for Reader?

Hello, I'm totally new to Adobe Reader development and I'm in the need to develop a plugin for Reader that must implement certain functionality. Before starting, I think it's better to ask to the experts if what I want to do is possible or if what I need goes beyond what the Adobe API provides. So, if you're so kind, I'd like you to check the list of needed features and please tell me if they can be fulfilled with a Reader Plugin.
The plugin must work for Adobe Reader 7,8,9 and 10. It's not a problem if I need to develop a plugin for each version.
When the user tries to print a document, I will block/cancel the printing process depending on which document is tried to be printed (the full path to the document will be needed).
I need traceability in "Save as" and "Save as text" features, if the user saves a copy of "c:\file.pdf" into "c:\file - copy.pdf" I need to know both the source and the destiny of the save as operation. Same for any kind of "export to format x" operations if possible.
I need to be able to communicate with another module via named pipe to periodically send information. This might require dinamically loading a DLL and calling its methods.
[Optional] I need to restrict the use of the clipboard depending on the documents opened in Reader, i.e. don't allow to copy if a certain document is opened.
[Optional] If a document is exported via file printer (like Microsoft xps printer), I need traceability on this operation. I'm really pesimistic about this one.
Also, I'm assuming that retrieving the list of opened documents, or the "active" document will be possible at any time. Please, correct me if wrong.

Two things.
First – Adobe no longer supports Reader 7 or 8, so you would be on your own for those.
Second, in order to develop a plugin for Reader you need to obtain a license from Adobe. Details and forms are in the Acrobat SDK. Start this process ASAP as that will tell you whether you will be able to do your plugin or not.

First, set the user back to www or whatever it was. To do namebased virtual hosting, you'll need to change two things. The first is to add a NameVirtualHost directive to /etc/httpd/sites/virtualhostglobal.conf
This is one of the VirtualHost stanzas from my Linux box, you just have to adjust the paths for your machine:
