MS Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable has been installed, where is the executable?

I've installed the MS Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (version 11.0.13060) on my PC. I can see it under "Programs and Features" so I assume it was installed correctly, however I cannot find the actual executable or any related folder in
any of the "Program Files" folders on my hard drive. Can anyone tell me where this .exe is?
It doesn’t install any .exe’s, it installs DLL’s that your program built with VC++ dynamically links to and needs at runtime. For example, msvcp110.dll and the rest of the DLL’s found in e.g. c:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Vc\redist.
They are installed into c:\windows\system32.

You will need either a bootable flash drive with Mountain Lion to install, if you have one, or reinstall Snow Leopard if your computer can boot Snow Leopard. Or you can use Internet Recovery to reinstall the original version of OS X that came with the computer. In any event you will have to repartition and reformat the drive.
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion on a New HDD/SDD
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Now that bridge support has been pulled, where are the updated docs for valid MXI tokens?
Since CS6 Bridge support has been inexplicably pulled from Extension Manager. So I need to find a way to install Bridge scripts. I'm after current documentation on the MXI format. Can someone point me to it? Thanks!
...MikeYou can find all the tokens and their corresponding directory on Windows and Mac from http://help.adobe.com/en_US/extensionmanager/cs/using/MXI_tech_note.pdf. Also the FAQ link in the Extension Manager user forum page (http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/extensionmanager/faq) describes how to install extensions for Bridge CS6 manually.
Another way is to copy configuration sub-directory from Bridge CS5/5.5 to Bridge CS6, and modify all the version-related values in XManConfig.xml accordingly. Then launch Extension Manager CS6. Bridge CS6 will be listed in Extension Manager CS6. You can install extensions for Bridge as usual. But we don't give you any guarantee for it. -
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Error during install
I am trying to upgrade a Office 2000 installation to Office 2007. The install keeps failing with an error 1704 saying that the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable has been suspended and that I have to rollback the changes.
How do I do this?

One the product has been installed you cannot locate the Serial Number on the installed copy. Though we recommend you register your product on Adobe.com, by Going to Help-- Registration.

Jbruced1234567 the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable is a component of your operating system provided by Microsoft. I would recommend reinstalling this component if it has been damaged. You can download the Redistributable packages at Latest Supported Visual C++ Downloads.

Ways that I can check.
Installed Software tab in software update
Acutally run a software update to see if you can acutally download and install it.
ThanksOpen Terminal and type "softwareupdate -l" without the quotes.
To get a list of available updates, type "sudo softwareupdate -iva" (no quotes; admin password required).
To install recommended updates only, type "sudo softwareupdate -irv" (ditto).

Please note it can take a while for your system to actually display all the updates you've already installed after typing the first command. -

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

Office 2013 KMS Activation Issues When Outlook 2010 Has Been Installed

I have been looking everywhere for the answer to this question. I have been setting up a KMS server host for Office 2013 on Server 2012 R2. The issue I have ran into is that all of our computers currently have Office 2010 installed. Our Office 2013 KMS server
is installed on a different server than the KMS server that activates Office 2010. (Different Virtual Machine) If Office 2010 has been installed the KMS server will not activate with the upgrade to 2013. Troubleshooting below:
1. Leave office 2010 installed and simply click upgrade - did not work.
2. Completly uninstalled Office 2010 and tried ospp.vbs /act and ospp.vbs /act - did not work.
3. Completly uninstalled Office 2013 with all other versions of Office 2010 uninstalled. Did a fresh install of Office 2013 after a reboot and verified working.
Can anyone explain to me either why this is happening as well as a solution. I realize that I have a work around right now but it takes some time.So, you have 2 KMShosts?
Host_A is KMShost for OFF2010
Host_B is KMShost for OFF2013
Are both hosts published in DNS?
(check with: nslookup -type=any _vlmcs._tcp)
Clients can resolve and connect to both hosts?
Or are you using static KMS location (do you manually configure your KMSclients to a specific hostname or IPaddress)?
Typically, a KMSclient will perform discovery via DNS lookup, and will try each KMShost until success occurs.
Possibly, when you installed WS2012R2, you chose ADBA instead of KMS ? (check the VA role on this server to confirm the mode)
You can check upon the KMShost, execute: cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv all
Another option, might be for you to co-host OFF2010 KMS and OFF2013 KMS upon the same (new WS2012R2) server, and de-commission the old KMShost function including removal of the DNS record for it. (Assuming this is consistent with your plans)

Navigate to Control Panel>Programs>Program and Features.
under Program and Features , locate the option " Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64)" and right click on it and uninstall .
If prompted , restart and then uninstall .
Once you had uninstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) .
Click on on the below link and download new Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) ( vcredist (x64).exe file and install the same :

BT believe my broadband has been installed but it ...
Hi all,
I'm in a frustrating situation at the moment where BT believe that my Infinity 2 Broadband has been installed when it has not been installed. I am currently being charged for Broadband and am unable to book an appointment for anyne to fit my Broadband. Furthermore, the call centre and online chat people do not appear to know anything about Infinity and the white fibre modem. This is the story so far:
I moved house on the 20th Febraury and booked an appointment a week later to have my broadband installed. I get my appointment for the 5th March for the install. It's a little bit of a wait but I'm fine to hold out for the 8 days.
On the 5th March, the BB engineer arrives, he's clearly one of the contractors I've heard so much about! I'm not fussed, I see no reason why this should be anything other than a routine job. After about 30 minutes of firendly chat and a few trips by the engineer to the curb and back, he informs me that the phone line is not working. In his words, "Your line is activated on the system and I can see it in the cabinet in the street, but it's not coming in to the flat, at least not through this socket.". "Can you fix it?" I ask naively. "Nah, I only deal with the broadband install, I can't touch the line!". I'm frustrated but I understand it's not his fault. Perhaps my disappointment was evident and shared by the contractor as he informed me, "I'm as annoyed as you are, I don't get paid unless I can mark the job as complete!". In a brief conversation following this, I found out the company he worked for was "Quinn" something and that he would raise the fault for me on the line so that someone could come and fix that.
Although frustrated at this point, I had no problems with the contractor, he seemed fair and his explanation of both the problem and his inability to resolve it seemed fair.
It turned out he did not raise the fault so I raised the fault on the line myself through the website when I returned to the office. The very next day, BT sent me a text saying that my Broadband had been activated. I log in to the website and see the fault I have raised on the line next to a bill for £20 - my first month's broadband charge. My assumption at this point is that the contractor either deliberately closed the job he had for my broadband as completed or accidentally did so (I believe a responsible contractor would have corrected the latter mistake).
So the engineer to fix my line was due on the 7th before 1pm. I take another half day off work and sit and wait. I hear literally nothing from BT all day and by 14:30 I give up and go to work. I call the team in India to reschedule and they assure me this time that he will come on the 8th before 1pm. To avoid me waiting in and missing more work, the lady on the phone says she will inform the engineer to call me 30 minutes before he arrives at my house so I can make my way there in time (I work 20 minutes away). On the 8th, in the middle of a meeting, I get a call from a BT engineer asking me how to operate the gates to the flats. "Oh. You're already there?" I ask. "Yeah, are you not in?" he replies. "No, I was told you would call me 30 minutes before so I could get back there to let you in!". "Well I can't wait 30 minutes mate, I'll just have to sit here for 15 and then mark the job as unable to complete.". Somehow, we mutually agree that if I ca get home in 20 minutes, the engineer will wait for me to let him in. Luckily I make it inside 15 anyway and let him in.
This guy is from OpenReach and I have to say, despite what might have been a bad start, he was nothing but professional in doing his job and explaining the problems as he went along. It may have taken around an hour, but eventually my phone line was up and running. Regardless of my experience with the Broadband guy, this is the level of service I would expect when I have a problem with a service provider.
So now here I am. It's the 11th following a weekend where I failed to visit my mother for Mother's Day whilst simulataneously using it as an excuse to get nothing done at home, including calling BT. I have just made that call where I soent 5 minutes struggling to communicate with one woman who decided that my Broadband had been installed and maybe I just needed help plugging it in. I'm seeing the funny side and after explianing several times what has happened, I get put through to "Level 2" (sounds like I'm playing a game!). The Level 2 person has a faulty headset which means that the most important word in each sentence is completely replaced with white noise. I feel a little embarrassed that I have to ask her to repeat everything. She then seems to identify the problem and apologises multiple times for the errors on BT's part as she types furiously on her keyboard (I'm not sure if it was furious but I can hear it through the dodgy headset). For some reason I'm transferred to my mobile where she calls me (it's convenient and I'm sure the reason was explianed behind the white noise somewhere) and after a wait littered with apologies, I am asked to hold on while she just...
...and then there's silence. Silence broken only with me saying "Hello?" multiple times in many different ways. After about 90 seconds, I explain that I can't hear anything (in the hope someone is hearing but not able to speak back) and that I'm going to hang up.
And that's when I decided to write this post, whilst waiting for the call back. It hasn't come. I'll keep you all posted but in the meantime it would be nice to know where I can send a letter to voice my frustration and also how I can get my money back for the Broadband that I am still unable to use.

Old computer died and I am trying to install Illustrator CS5 on new computer.
Last version I had before CS5 was/is Illustrator 10,which has been installed on new computer.
CS5 install says I need CS2,3 or 4 before installing 5, but old computer went directly from 10 to CS5.
How can I repeat this 10 to CS5 install?It does not seem likely that CS6 was upgraded from version 10. You might want to check your purchase history in your Adobe account to see if there is some missing link in the chain of purchases you made.

We bought Premiere Elements 10/Photoshop Element 10 a while ago and it worked brilliantly on our Window XP machine, but since we moved to Windows 7 last year we can't get Premiere Elements 10 to work properly and always get the error message 'A reduced set of content (Instant Movie Themes, Title and Menu templates, etc) has been installed. You can install the full content by inserting your Content DVD or downloading it. Do you want to install now?'. So I've tried reinserting the DVDs and installing them. I've uninstalled all the software and started again, but each time I get the same message at the end of the process. I've spoken to the computer shop I bought the computer from and they say Windows 7 is incompatible, but that doesn't seem to be what the Adobe web site says. Please, any advice welcome as I've got a year's worth of videos I need to edit.

Are you working with Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit? What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? And, are you doing your download and installing with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Premiere Elements 12 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
If you have tried to obtain the Premiere Elements 10 Content from the installation disc labelled for Content for your version and operating system and that is not working, then can try downloading and installing the Content from the following Adobe link if you do not decide to click on the message to initiate the content download from within the program.
