  • Itunes causes Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error at Vista Startup

I installed Itunes version 8.1.1 and Quicktime on my Toshiba laptop with Vista. The installation went in correctly and Itunes found my music library.
However, when i rebooted the system, i get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error Library error message that states "This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. The message persists and Vista will not boot up.
I have to do a system restore in safe mode to get Vista usuable again.
Has anyone seen this problem and can you help me find the culprit.

Some people have reported that Apple Software Update can cause this error, so you might try removing that and see if it helps. Removing that utility should not affect iTunes, though you won't get automatic updates (you can just download any new version of iTunes or QuickTime manually and install it). It would, however, be wise to make a backup of any purchased content or items that would otherwise be difficult to replace, just in case something goes wrong.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error when building installer

I'm trying to build an installer for a very simple VI I've created in 8.2.  Before the build is complete I get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error message pointing towards the labview.exe file.  I've already tried re-installing LabVIEW and deleting older versions of the LabVIEW Runtime engines with no luck.  I recently upgraded my system from LabVIEW 6.1 and I'm using Windows XP.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    LabVIEW 2012 - Windows 7
    CLAD

I included waveform storage, runtime engine 8.2, ni-visa-runtime and  ni-serial3.1. I tried to create a setup.exe by installer on an other pc. But it's completely the same behavior afterwards. I attached the error message. This message appears after I choose the path and continue the setup. It's the question which file is meaning.
I tried to create a setup.exe by installer without any additional.
The strange thing is it was unsuccessful with following message. Maybe this will be helpful to find the problem.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error when syncing ipod

When I'm at the end of ipod setup and I click done.. I get this "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" error.
    It says: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe
    R6025
    - pure virtual function call
I haven't seen any posts relating to this problem. I'm unable to sync my iTunes with my iPod. In addition my iTunes is not recognizing my ipod, but my computer does. I've had to reinstall iTunes for it to recognize ipod. I've followed the other instructions (delete temp files / cleaning registry etc.) with no fix yet.
I think these may be related (hopefully). Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  • Premiere Elements 11 -- Visual C++ Runtime Error when trying to add Movie Menus

Premiere Elements seems to be working fine in all reapects, except when I try to add Movie Menus, nothing shows up in the Movie Menu area, and eventually I get a Visual C++ Run time error as shown in the attached image.  When I click OK, the program crashes.  This is repeatable.
I am running Windows 7 with latest Service Pack.  I am running dual GeForce cards, with the latest drivers.  No other software is giving me any issues.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Steve,
    Thanks for the reply.
I have my two graphics cards SLI sttings properly configured, and they have been working correctly for every other Premiere unctionality, as well as all of the rest of CS6 applications (and Lightroom).  I have double-checked that I do have the latest drivers from nVidia's site.
I do have the latest QuickTime software.
I have gone in and updated all of the optional Windows updates.
I keep getting the same error, but I think I can describe it better.
When I go into the Movie Menu panel, the "Add a theme" link in the panel does not respond.  When I click the Menu Theme button in the upper right corner of the Movie Menu panel, I do get the library of themes to select from, but when I select one, it does not load in to the panel.  (It does download the content from online, though it doesn't show on the screen. I just see the "Add a theme" link in the middle of the page.)  The Adjustments panel on the right is completely blank.
I can click the "Done" button to close the Movie Menu panel.  But when I try to open the Movie Menu panel a second time, it crashes immediately and I get the error message from my last post in this thread.
I have repeatedly re-booted my computer, but I get the identical behavior.  All of the other functionality of Premiere Elements still work.
If the next receommendation is to re-install the software, do I have to move my projects anywhere?  Or do I just leave them and re-install?
    Thanks,
    Nick

  • Visual C++ runtime error on startup audition cs5.5 win8.1

After reinstalling Audition cs5.5, I get a visual C++ runtime error at startup.  I have never had a problem before on a reinstallation.  I have tried uninstall and reinstall without any success.  Is their a version of Visual C++ that is needed here?  Is this an incompatibility problem with Win 8.1?  Has anyone else had this problem?  I haven't had any luck in the FAQ section.

The only issues I've ever heard about involving this appear to have been caused by having too many versions of the run-time on a machine. I'm not entirely sure what the situation with software only running properly with the version it was intended to is, but apparently clearing out older versions (you can check this out and remove them if you want using the normal uninstall routine) has fixed this particular problem on at least one occasion. It's worth investigating, anyway.

When updating iTunes on my Windows PC, I am getting a M/S Visual C   runtime error...can anyone suggest how to fix it?

It has been discussed a few times, and is even available in the Apple support web site.  Basically, you need to un-install all teh Apple software you have installed, then re-install it all.  When you re-install, right click on theinstaller and select "Run as Administrator" to make sure it has The proper rights to complete the installation.

    howdy y'all,

since i updated to 9.1 i get the following errors at itunes startup ...
    [1] visual c++ runtime error r6034
after i hit ok for item [1] i get ...
[2] itunes cannot sync information ..SNIP.. because syncing has been disabled on this computer. do you want to enable syncing?
if you do not enable ..SNIP.. to your ipod.
after i hit yes for item [2] i get ...
[3] itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. reconnect or try again later.
after i hit ok for item [3] itunes runs.
the itouch shows up in the left panel "devices" list and is selectable. pressing the sync button on the itouch summary page triggers TWO dialogs of item [1]! hitting ok on them lets the sync go forward. i presume the only actual sync going on is the music. the sync finishes with no errors and says "ipod sync is complete. ok to disconnect."
i haven't tested to get confirmation that anything is being synced so it might just be going thru the motions.
item [1] is listed on the ms site here ...
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235560%28VS.80%29.aspx
it says the error is caused by a missing "manifest" and the fix is to rebuild the app with a proper one.

    Hi all,
I could resolve some of the issues posted here with the fix offered by jeffcoffee under http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1595916&start=285&tstart=0 (However, I still have the R6034 error message. Would be great to have a fix for that too).
    This is what he did:
    copy the file 'sqlite3.dll'
    from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support'
    to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support'
*In a 32 bit Windows OS remove (x86) from the path.
Another potential dll issue might be: 'libxml2.dll', follow the same copy routine. If the first one does not fix it.

  • Apple pls fix this - MS Visual C++ Runtime error after installing itune 9.1

Ever since I upgraded itune to the latest version 9.1, I kept getting the error messasge below when I start up the computer. Tried restoring system to a previous date, and uninstalling & installing itune a couple times to no avail. Any idea what's going on and how to fix this? I had to remove itune to be able to use my computer (ugh). The irony is that the itune upgrade was mainly to enable ipad. Now that I have my ipad I can't use itune.
    The error message reads:
