MS word error

HI all I've got a problem that is really bugging me and I'm thinking of just doing a complete reinstall.
Every time I start MS word 2004 I get an error saying: An unexpected error occured while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library.
After I click ok it works as normal. It does this with all the ms apps, excel and powerpoint.
I've tried installing it three times and it still comes up with that error. Can anyone suggest something or do I need to reinstall my whole OS.
I'm running a macbook 2ghz.
ANy help and suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi Adrian. I'm having pretty much the same problem as Gambit had, only with MS Office X. But only with one of the user accounts on my iMac. Anyway: Where do I find this updater to service pack 2 - if such a thing exists for MS Office X too??? Thanks!

No need to reinstall your OS. That is very much a
last resort.
A quick search of the forums seems to suggest
that running the updater to service pack 2 fixes
this.

you can control the way BW displays exceptions with customizing (SPRO) transaction RSCUSTV4.
identify differences of these settings in your systems and apply them accordingly.

I want to report a word error in the portuguese thunderbird. How do i do it?

There's a word error on a question in the portuguese language of the mozilla thunderbird. I just want to report it and i don't know to who. When i try to eliminate a contact, a question will pop asking if i am sure that i want do delete it, and there's a word error on that question. No big deal but i thought you would like to correct that. Thank you.

The code for the field? Sure, it's simple.
You can use something like this as its custom calculation code:

Cells contain the word "ERROR"

Hi,
A report runs without any problems. The only strange thing is that some cells contain the amounts followed by the word ERROR (e.g.: 1.332,00 ERROR).
This doesn't seem to be related to aggregation behaviour or different currencies/ units of measure (in that case you'd get a [], X, or *). I don't recall having ever seen this in BEx.
I already tried debugging it ("no parallel processing", "do not suppress warnings", breakpoint at message handler) but I couldn't find anything...

Pls. check the currency of the Amount field. if its not there then it will display with ERROR. or to remove the error use NODIM...

Store Tile has the word "error" under it for 1 user

WORD Error message -- Report from Template

Hello everyone,
I try to generate a "Report from Template" with transaction CG03.
I can select the generation variant and the parameter values in the next two pop-ups.
WORD is starting but then there is the error message:
"Word cannot read this document. Maybe it is corrupted. Try the following:
- open and repair the file
- open file with repair-textconverter".
This message is a translation from german to english so the correct messagt might differ from this.
When I look at my frontend PC in the local settings I see that the respective files are written, but I can´t open them.
This problem started two days ago out of nowwhere.
Additional information: Visual Basic pops up after the error message is closed with "runtime error '1055'.
A debugger is opened and this is the content of the window:

any change happened on your client? New Windows version? New Word Version? New WWI Version installed? Did you manupulated Standad Dot path etc.? Did you change Standard.dot of Word?
Can you open in cg54/cg50 any document (ready, released or historic) without a problem and the problem is related only to "report from template"?
During WWI process a number of files are passed on to your client. Can you use Wordpad to open the files? I am not sure but I believe per WWI document there should be something like 4 or 5 documents in your local WWI path. One containing the data, one containing the template and some others (named something like resfil, lesfil etc.).
An error like you described is normally related to one of the above mentioned changes. Can you use "Report from template "regarding the same spec, same genvariant same language with a different client without a problem => then it is clear you have a local problem

BI Publisher desktop in MS word ( error when preview ) Java class not find

The problem is:
open MS Word
Log on successfully to Oracle BI in the MS Word with the desktop add-in
Successfully access to the Answer's request results and get the field to rtf template.
Pressing preview
Error is shown as below:
Error No: 53
Desc: File not found
Please confirm that
1) Java runtime version is 1.3 or later is installed correctly
2) The Java executable is accessible through the Windows Path or the Java Home directory is entered in the Preview tab of the options dialog
User then download JRE 1.5 to test again, but the problem is still here.
Strangely, this problem only happened in some users' desktop / notebooks.
Could anyone help to solve this problem?

Export to Word Error

When I use the File . . . Export menu and choose Word, I get an error message. The Exporter works fine going to RTF. Anybody encountered this and know a fix? I really like Pages a lot more than Word but I have to open Pages documents in Word sometimes. If I just try to open in Word, without any export conversion, I get a window with all kinds of files and folders in it, none of which is the document. "Help" says to export. But now the error. If I export to RTF I can open fine in Word, but why do that?

Export to Word Errors - possible fix

Like several other people have mentioned, I wasn't able to export to Word. I'd get an "unknown error has occurred" error message and it failed. I decided today I'd solve this problem if I could and since I knew lots of people were exporting as Word okay I had three suspects in mind. It was my second.
Using Font Book, I turned off all the Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Arabic fonts because I don't need them. Oops. I haven't delved into which are absolutely necessary (assuming any are not) but turning on all the default Apple fonts was the fix for me.

Great tip. Following your advice with a little trial and error discovered that the Japanese font Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro is the only one I needed to activate in order to successfully export to Word.

Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word error on Windows Server 2008 R2

I have Microsoft Office 2003 installed on Windows Server 2008 R2. I get a "There is insufficient memory. Save the document now." error while adding a document to the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document class as in the code below. I can see the Memory
consumption shoots up as soon as the following lines of code is executed. Surprisingly, this same piece of code works fine on Windows Server 2008.

BI Publisher Plug In Word error Open template

Hi,
I've just installed the desktop plug in for MS WORD to use BIPublisher.
After log on I get immediately the error: "Error occured. Please check the settings and try again." My settings seem to be OK since other colleagues have identical settings but do not have the error.
OS = XP, BIP version 10.1.3.2.1 build 87
Does anyone know what's behind the error and how to solve it?

Why the method Insert is working bad???
The file jacob.jar is signed correctly
In the file *.dot exist the marker MC_LOCALIDAD_01 , however CLIENT_OLE2.invoke (obj_hnd, 'EditFind', arglist); , not found , why???
The method is valid??
Where found more descriptions of this method or all methods of CLIENT_OLE2??

Incomprehensible Oracle Reserved Word Error

I'm trying to create a Table for a new application and I keep getting this error message:
1 error has occurred
The identified column name is an Oracle reserved word. Please choose another name.
Unfortunately, it doesn't identify a column as containing a reserved word. I tried googling for a list of Oracle Reserved Words, Oracle Keywords, and PL/SQL Reserved Words; but none of them match the column names in my table. My column names are:

Thanks. I'm using Oracle 11g. I think what you're suggesting would work, if the objective is to create an empty table and then populate it with data.
However, what I'm trying to do is import a spreadsheet into APEX as a table, after which I shall build an application on that. If I do it your way, I'll have to key all the spreadsheet data in after creation, creating the possibility of keyed errors, which would require proof-reading. I'd prefer not to do that.
This morning, before returning to this thread, I was able to import the spreadsheet by changing all the column names to the corresponding Excel column heads: A, B, C and so on. When I went to SQL workshop to rename the columns, I found only 10 had been imported. There are 22 columns in the spreadsheet, most of them populated, and we need them all.
I believe I can still use the table I have created. I can add the extra 12 columns now, one at a time, and populate them by typing, if I must.
However, if there's some constraint or constant I can alter to import all 22 columns with all the information in one pass, I would appreciate it. There are 53 rows. Keying 12 columns for all 53 would be something of a pain.

Word Error Message

Hi There,
This is my first post on TechNet so hello.
I am having a problem with one of our users when she opens Microsoft Word. Anytime she opens it she has to open it in safe mode. I have tried the repair tool that comes all ready in Microsoft Office and that didnt work. I then tried uninstalling Microsoft Office and re-installing it. This worked for a few days and then the same thing starts to happen again. I have re-installed Microsoft Office 3 times in the last 7 days now and i cant seem to find an answer to the error message anywhere on the internet so thought i would give this a go.
The error message that comes up is as follows:
