MS Word Plugin

I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times BUT:
Can anyone tell me where I can get the best plugin for Safari to view MS Word Documents, the whole download manager thing is really annoying sometimes.

Need MS word Plugin to integrate with APEX

Hi,
We have a requirement from our client, that they want MS word plugin to be integrated with Oracle APEX. Currently we are using Ck Editor in Oracle APEX and client wants to replace the Editor with MS word.
So proposed an approach of providing the link to user from which they can download a document and do the changes and upload it back through file browse option. But users feel cumbersome in saving the document in their Local drive and upload it back.
All they want is, upon clicking the link, a MS word should open, and entering the details in MS word, and users will do 'ctrl + s' or save and the close the MS word, and the content should go into the table.
Please provide us your valuable input on this.

Simple answer.. Not Going to happen with current browsers, unless you use Internet Explorer and Active X controls.. Running MS Word through a browser like you want is a BIG No No...

Word plugin in Reader

Does Reader have a plugin for Word files? Dropbox is opening a DOC file in
Reader, and changing its extension from DOC to DOC.PDF. What is going on?
Is this an automatic format conversion as the DOC file goes into Reader?

Why is PDFMaker using faux italics when creating pdf from Word?

I have a word 2013 document using an opentype font, namely The Sans. Some of the words using that font are in italics.
If I print (Ctrl+P) the document to Adobe PDF, the pdf looks fine, and the fonts embedded in the PDF as reported by Acrobat are The Sans and The Sans Italic.
But if I use the PDFMaker plugin, the words in italics use some kind of faux italic, where the regular letters are just slanted. The font embedded in the PDF as reported by Acrobat is only The Sans.
I got sick of trying every possible parameter in the Word plugin, any idea of what to? Printing the document top pdf and then adding all the bookmarks by hand would be excruciatingly tedious.
I could also open the PDF in acrobat and select every occurence of an italic word, then re-set it to italic, which then uses the right italic version of the font, but come on...

Basically using the printer will always embed and use the italic font, e.g. with the standard, press or high quality print settings. Even though there is a checkbox ticked by default named "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document font", the result does not seem to change if this box is ticked or not.
If I use PDFMaker, no matter what settings I use I end up with the regular font being simply slanted. I even tried setting compatibility with Acrobat 1.7 and checking "Embed Opentype fonts".

How do I convert PDF(Acrobat 9 Pro) or INDD5 to Word?

I need to convert our PDF output files or INDD files to Word docs for Kindle publication. The Save As doesn't convert correctly.

You could maybe try installing a demo of Acrobat 11? It really is much, much better than you'd think. Recosoft's InDesign-to-Word plugin is pretty good; I installed the demo and liked its output pretty good - on heavily designed, poorly constructed documents, the output was actually cleaner than the input! As usual, I wonder how many dollars will be spent by your company on art-department wages, and if those dollars would pay for a plugin license.
(If it supported styles then we would have bought it without hesitation. I dunno how important preservation of style names would be for Kindle conversion.)

Word to pdf conversion failure

Hi I cannot get ms word document to convert to pdf, either with ms word plugin or using acrobat file-open. It appears to get someway through the conversion then disappears without error message when using the plugin or gives an error failure when using the file-open option.
I and running windows 7 sp1 64bit. ms office word 2003 sp3. acrobat X pro v10.1.13
Acrobat seems to work fine with existing pdf files, opening, combining, adding/deleting pages etc. it just wont create a new pdf from ms word or for that matter, cobalt solid modelling program either.
I had to install and use bullzip pdf maker to get me out of this problem just to finish a huge job the company had undertaken. But bullzip doesn't create bookmarks from internal document hyperlinks, which is essential for my current work.
How can I overcome this quite essential problem of not being able to simply create a pdf? Admittedly the ms word file is 180mb but that surely cannot be the issue

I could see that you are using a very old version of MS Office which is actually not compatible with Adobe Acrobat XI.

Template Builder add in not visible in word 2007

I have installed the word plugin 4 months back till now it worked fine but one hour back when tried give sample xml word freezed so i restared the computer
now i am unable to see world plugin in word . i tried to reinstall but no solution..

Click on Office Button -> Word Options ->Add-ins -> Manage ->Word Add-ins and ensure that Templatebuilder.dot, TBCrosstab.dot and WordAnalyzer are checked/enabled.
I have noticed that sometimes when Word crashes or aborts, these options get disabled.

Plugin not appearing for CS2

Hello,
I'm working on an issue with a Photoshop plugin. This is an automation plugin that works fine under CS3 on mac, CS CS2 and CS3 for pc. However on the mac under CS2 or lower it does not load, and will not appear as an option.
Has anyone else had similar issues and know a common resolution or work around.

I even gave up control of my computer for the technician to look at everything. So, yeah, I gave that info many times. As soon as I said the word "plugin", they told me they couldn't offer support of any kind. Even when I told them they had always worked fine until I started using multiple catalogs and I felt that the new catalog usage was the issue. Either way, I figured it out. Just wish it hadn't cost me 2 weeks of no working plugins.

C# Externalinterface Problem with MS Word

I'm working on an Microsoft Word Plugin based Microsoft
Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition and the
ExternalInterface for C#.
The idea of the project is to get informations from Word app
and send the informations to an Adobe Flex app, which is running in
a dialog window of Word.
My problem is that the SWF is running in the sandbox typ
"localeWithNetwork" instead of"Localetrusted".
Have anybody an idea, how I can solve this?

Plugin not working for lightroom

I have multiple plugins for my lightroom and the only one that is working is perfect effects. They are all installed correctly, but they just aren't working. Is this issue known? I've contacted the plugin manufacturers and they all confirm it's a lightroom issue, but adobe won't help me.... this is so very frustrating.

There is no posibility to edit chart after insert it (BIPD Plugin)

Hi all,
I have a strange problem in new BIPD 11.1.1.5.
After i insert some chart into the RTF template using MS Word plugin, i am not able to edit it.
When i click to edit a chart it will open the chart editor on the the "ADVANCED" tab (there is the xsl code) primary.
After i click to tab "BUILDER" it will show the builder but everything is disabled - except preview button.
How can it be fixed ?

Tom had the best suggestion -- keep Pages 4.3 documents in Pages 4.3 (i.e., iWork '09). If for whatever reason, you can't do that, there may still be a way to work with your documents. I'd like to help you with this, and if you can send me a sample document I'll be glad to take a look at it. I'm with the company that makes MathType (Design Science), and I see you're already aware of one thing that's necessary in Pages 5 -- opening MathType first. I'm surprised that you can't open the equations though, and you certainly should be able to insert new equations that you can later edit. In Pages 5.1, I can open an old Pages 4.3 document and edit old equations and add new ones.

That's a very broad net you're casting.
I mean Flickr is flickr users favorite plugin, and those with Nik Collection may be fond of their Nik plugins...
Which plugin(s) you like / use really depends on the person and workflow.
I mean, I'm particularly fond of the plugins I've written, but that's because I understand how they work, they do what I want, and if ever I encounter a bug I fix it. But some people are not so fond of my plugins...
I have written over a 100 plugins, and use about 10% of them regularly, and about half of them not at all (the other 40% on an occasional basis).
In other words, plugins are a means to an end. If you have no desire for that end, you'll have no desire for the plugin that accomplishes it.
For example, TreeSyncPublisher is indispensible if you want to maintain an export tree external to Lightroom, but otherwise it may be useless. YMMV...
Perhaps a better question is:
"What are some good sources for plugins so I could peruse and find those that may help me get my job(s) done?"

Error Message when printing handouts

First, I know this has already been discussed in these forums. I tried the proposed solution in this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/6273232#6273232 and it still didn't fly. I'll go ahead and bust out a full explanation of the issue for those of you who may not want to navigate to the other thread:
I'm getting the following error message when trying to publish my project as a handout:
I'm launching Cap 7 in admin mode on a windows 8 machine and trying to publish to Word 2013.
I'll select a publish location and start the publish, it gets to 10% and then stalls out (the error message doesn't appear at this time). If I hit alt+tab, I'll see a "Save as" window. I'll reselect the directory and name the file correctly and hit save. That moves the progress bar to 100% and the error message appears. I've tried to copy and paste the slides to a new project and the same thing occurs. From what I've seen, others have had this problem but I've yet to see a confirmed fix. If you've run into the issue and solved it, please let me know. Is there a word plugin I need to install? Is there a way to bamboozle my handouts from captivate to .pdf to word? That would be cumbersome but I'm not scared to try it.
