Ms13-055 KB2846071 for IE9

Noticed with the july MS patch release the cumulative IE9 patch is not showing up for windows7 x64. Checking the %zenworks_home%\zpm folder the corresponding .pls file is not present. Has anyone else had same issue?

Having uninstalled version 11.2.202.233 due to audio problems, why can i not install an older version (11.1.102.62) for IE9?

You should install the updated version 11.1.102.63 that contains a security update.

  • Where to download FP10.3 for IE9 64bit?

    Where to download FP10.3 for IE9 64bit?
I tried download from http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash where I receive an error that:
"Flash Player 10.1 is not currently available for Internet Explorer 9 (64-bit) Beta.
Download a preview release of Flash Player that includes optimized support for Internet Explorer 9 Beta (32-bit and 64-bit) from Adobe Labs."
I go to Labs web page where I receive a notice that:
"Adobe® Flash® Player 10.3 shipped on May 12, 2011 and is no longer hosted on Adobe Labs."
    WHERE IS IT?
    Using IE9 64-bit on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit

Right under that there is a link that says "Download the Flash Player "Square" preview for use on 64-bit operating systems".

  • Installing Shockwave player on Windows x64 for IE9 x64

My computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
I have upgraded my (32-bit) Shockwave player to version 12.1.3r153, and it appears to be working for IE9 32-bit, and Firefox 28 (32-bit).
I was fairly certain that in the past, I had downloaded and installed a 64-bit Shockwave player for a previous version of Shockwave, but I can't be 100% sure of that.
I'm trying to upgrade/install Shockwave player 12 (64-bit) on this computer for use with IE9 64-bit, but I cannot find the Shockwave 12 64-bit install package download. It appears that there is not a 64-bit version of Shockwave player 12 available.
    Where can I download a 64-bit version of Shockwave 12 for Windows 7 x64?
If this is not available, have they abandoned 64-bit for Shockwave?
Is there an older (but fairly recent) version of Shockwave available in a 64-bit version?

There has never been a 64 bit version of Shockwave. You are perhaps confusing it with the Flash Player which does have a 64  bit version

  • Flash Player 10.3 for IE9 (64-bit)

    Hello,
Believe it or not I am running Flash Player 10.3.162.28 in my final version of IE9 (64-bit).  It works PERFECTLY.  LOL.  What's the story behind this version, does anyone happen to know?
I got it from the Flash Player Square site back in September or October 2010 and then the releases for 64-bit were removed, leaving me high and dry.  I am running the proper 10.2 version in my IE9 32-bit, but that doesn't have anything to do with the 64-bit version.
Does anyone have a clue, because I don't.  LOL.
Should I just leave it alone?
    Thanks!

Hi, I think it's helpful to understand that the Square Flash Player for 64bit browsers ONLY and yes it's still a "beta".
Now the 10.3 that you have is also a beta, and I think it's for a 32bit browser with certain new features. I haven't had time
to read all of the info(plan to) but I didn't see yet that it is even supposed to work in the 64bit browsers. That would be confusing as that is what the Square is for.
While this is a beta release of Flash Player 10.3 for desktop operating systems only, we are planning to release Flash Player 10.3 for mobile and the next version of AIR and AIR SDK for desktop and mobile soon. (That's interesting!)
Well I just went to find out and here is this:
When will Adobe Flash Player support 64-bit operating systems and browsers?
Flash Player 10.3 will not have 64-bit support. Support for 64-bit operating systems and web browsers on Linux, Mac OS, and Windows is currently available in the Flash Player "Square" preview release on Adobe Labs. Developers can use the "Square" preview with the current Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 9 beta. Availability of 64-bit support in a publically available release for consumers will be announced at a later date.
It's confusing, but there is only one Flash Player that supports the 64bit browser and that is Square.
The 10.2 is for 32bit or 64bit Operating Systems but only works with the 32bit browsers.
The 10.3 is a version that is in beta and will be shipped, but it appears it will be only for DESKTOPS.
If the 10.3 is working fine for you, I'd keep it. Are you sure IE9 that you have is a 64bit? I wasn't aware of that at all.
Well, hope I haven't confused you in trying to explain this
    Hope this message goes thru.
    Thanks,

  • Force file download for IE9 on Azure Blob Storage

    Hello,
I am trying to use Azure Blob Storage as a location for secure file downloads using Shared Access Signature. Everything is working very well, however the problem I am having is I am trying to allow the user to save files from the browser and I have all browsers
    except IE9 working.
    Reviewing this question,
What content type to force download of text response?
this works well when I can control all of the headers, however in Azure Blob Storage, I have set the Content-Type to application/octet-stream and this allows all browsers except IE to ask the user to save the file, IE simply opens the file. It appears that
known file types will open (example .jpg, .wmv etc…).
In Azure, I have found no way to set
    Content-Disposition: attachment;filename="My Text File.txt"
Is there a way, using Azure Blob Storage, to use IE to download any file directly from Azure Blob Storage?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Actually, we can't set Content-Disposition for blobs, and I can't think of any other workarounds. From my experience, in most case IE's behavior is fine. I would like to know why you have to prompt a download? The user can see the text file, and
if they wish to save it locally, they have more than one way to do that (copy paste, save file, etc.). If they simply want to read the text and then forget it, that's also fine. They don't even have to download it and then double click a local file to read
    the content.
If you have to modify the behavior, the only workaround I can think of is to use a web role as an intermediate bridge, and add the Content-Disposition from your web role.
    Best Regards,
    Ming Xu.

  • Is Flash Player available for IE9 yet?

Hello, I have FP 10.2 installed on Chrome and IE8 and FP 11 installed on Firefox. My OS is Windows 7 64 bits. I want to update IE but I'm not sure if Flash Player is ready or not. Is it?

Hi, yes it is. Several users have had IE9 for some time and use the Flash Player 10.2.152.32. You might like to see this from Microsoft since you have Win7. Some new features, especially the ActiveX Filtering. You may already be aware of it, but this link has the info on IE9.

It is recommended to uninstall all previous versions (download uninstaller). All browser windows must be closed when the uninstaller runs. Also disable any instant messenger service in the system tray. Norton and McAfee AV may need to be disabled also.
Make sure to uncheck any unwanted software offers during the installation.

  • I cannot get a pdf link to display correctly with version 4.0.1. How can I go bak to previous version? This appears to be a browser problem that does not occur for IE9.

When I click on a link to a pdf file (in an email message) using Windows Live Mail, Firefox 4.0.1 opens it as a shortcut and treats it as a pdf app. I can read the pdf file, but cannot save or print it. This is not the case if I use IE9. There never was a problem using the previous version of Firefox. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

See ''tmaca's'' post, 3rd one up from the bottom. He seems to think you can update it manually: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/822003#answer-184670

  • Cannot install Latest Flashplayer on a Windows 7 64-bit Laptop for IE9

I have attempted numerous times to resintall the latest flashplayer on my laptop. I turned off the AV on my laptop prior trying to install.  What basically happens is I go to Adobes site and click on the download and nothing happens.

How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?

  • ATI X1400 in T60 too old for IE9 hardware rendering?

    Hi
Just installed the ie9 beta on ym Windows 7 64bit. But I can't disable the "use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" option (my WIN is not English but the option should be named sometjing like this). The option is grayed out so i can't change the setting. Can it be that the X1400 drivers don't support features needed by the IE9 GPU rendering? I tried both the Win 7 built-in graphics drivers and the latest Vista drivers from Lenovo homepage.
Anybody else out there who is testing the IE9 on Win 7 on a Thinkpad T60 with X1400?
    Thx
    Gerhard

sorry about that but my reply didn't show up, just my signature.  i'm running ie9 on 2 x32's with an even older ati graphics card than yours and i can still choose between software and hardware accelleration.  i had to download the xp driver and not install it, then go into device manager and manually update the driver and tell windows that i will find the driver. then i pointed to the folder and got my driver updated.
i used ie9 to post the above post with software accelleration and the text didn't show up so i'm still trying to figure ie9 out.
what happens if you choose restore to defaults at the bottom of the advanced page?

  • Satellite L450 - Cannot install flash player for IE9

    satellite L450, win7,
    hi guys
I am having trouble with flash player,
i uninstalled f/p, then installed latest version 11, but still when trying to use youtube it tells me i need to upgrade.
I have done most of the suggestions on diff forums ie: i made sure IE was set to 32bit, in fact i tried both 32/64, uninstalling each time, to no avail.
    Any ideas guys,

    Hi
Are you sure that the flash player add on is not blocked by some security setting in the IE or some security tools?
How about the usage of other internet browsers like Firefox or Google Chrome?
Are you able to watch flash videos using such browsers?

  • Cannot download Flash Player for IE9, 256-bit

    Help!

You are being very vague with your help request.
256-bit refers to the cipher strength of the web browser, not the version type (32-bit or 64-bit version).
    Please tell us...
    1) which Operating System you are using
    2) which steps you are taking to launch Internet Explorer
    3) which steps you are taking to download and install Flash Player and which version of Flash Player you are trying to install (and from which website)

  • IWeb page generates IE9 error for Google Maps API key

My iWeb site generates an error in IE9 "This web site needs a different Google Maps API key". Is there any fix in iWeb for this?
I've found this link that offers a solution for IE9 users. It seems to be a bug with IE9 mixed content security settings, but people will blame my website and not their browser
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_7/ie-9-is-telling-me-my- website-needs-a-different/59bfa1ed-f757-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5
Excerpt from that site "Okay, I resolved the issue. I went into my Security settings. Under Miscellaneous I changed Display mixed content to "Enable". I believe there is a bug in the Display mixed content feature. I should be able to keep the setting at "Prompt", then see the content when I click the appropriate option when prompted. I believe the Google Maps API message was shown in error."

You have to get your own API key: https://code.google.com/apis/console/
My map uses a custom solution (Web Apps & Google Maps API V3) and is still working fine.

  • IE9 Disable AutoComplete for Forms Registry Setting (where is it?)

I have tried with no success to use GP to consistently force Disable AutoComplete for forms (User Configuration\Administrative
    Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer).
    Using GPResult,
some workstations show "disabled" when the setting is actually "enabled" through GP.
I am now pursuing a registry edit to force this to my workstations
consistently (key word; consistently). Does anyone know the correct registry key for IE9 on a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit OS)? I've tried about five so far and none of them work.
    So far, I've tried:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AutoComplete]
    "Append Completion"="no"
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\WindowsSearch\AutoCompleteGroups REG_DWORD "0"
and a few more I forget...
I am supposing that a Microsoft support person will be the only one(s) in the know for this one but please help if you can!
    Charlie Newman

    Hi,
As we all know we can disable AutoComplete throung IE settings. While if you want to disable them through Registry, it would be better to use Regshot to caputer registry modifing after this setting changed in IE.
I made a test in my test enviroment, there are some other volume and key modified, also contains:
    Eg:
    HKU\S-1-5-21-4145364215-115882434-1782034342-500\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Use FormSuggest: "yes"
Please make a capture in your system.
