MS6167, USB pin outs for front port

Can anybody tell me again the pin assignments of front usb header of MS6167.  I remember somebody figured  this out but that was quite a long time ago (may be almost two years ago).  The manual only indicated pin1 but no description and location of the other pins.  I contacted MSI regarding this matter but they rather refer it to you guys...he he.  Please help!  So I can install a usb port at the front of my pc casing.  I've read that wrong connection to the usb port can result to frying my precious usb device (my Acer usb external cd writer)

Hey James,
I've just sussed this one out, although I've used a back panel bracket:-
I've purchased a Belkin F3U001 and successfully fitted it to my USB Front Header. Everything appears to be AOK.
Just for any other interested MS-6167 owners the pins are (as per Motherboard):-
5V/VCC * * Ground
USBD0- * * Ground
USBD0+ * * USBD1+
Ground * * USBD1-
Ground * * 5V/VCC (marked as 1 in Manual)
This relates directly to Example D in the Belkin F3U001 Installation Instructions.
Cheers,
Pete.  :D

  • MS6513 Connectx USB pin outs

    Help!
I've got a MS6513 board in a Medion PC.  It has a Connectx panel on the front of the case with two USB connections in it.
I need the layout of the USB pin outs as they are on the Motherboard, due to the fact that the board has gone bang and when I connect up the connectx panel to my new boards usb connections the whole thing (including mouse) freezes.
    Can anybody help?

    Hi Richcps,
You can look into your mobo manual and check for the points of the USB1/2 on your mobo.

What gotchas should we watch out for when porting code from the Adobe SDK to the Acrobat SDK?
... and the other way around?
I have found some evidence that the preprocessor variable PLUGIN seems to prevent macros from includes from being defined. The NPROC and SPROC constructs seem to be involved (partners in crime, if you will).

ps: Please see my related thread "What is the difference between xxProcs.h and xxCalls.h?"

    Here's a gotcha that I bumped into:
    extern "C" HINSTANCE gHINSTANCE;
I found it in a successfully developed code on the Windows/Plugin side. It is something that I had never used on the APDFL side AND my Windows linker is complaining about several gXXXX missing functions.
IOW: It sounds like the above statement is the solution to my linking problems. Somehow the APDFL seems to take care of the C vs. C++ details.

  • Where can I find the pin-outs for 8-pin remote Hirose connector?

Where can I find the pin-outs for 8-pin remote Hirose connector?

Pin outs and wiring info is all in the Maintenance Manuals (same for all system cameras, F series, XDCAM etc.), - ask your local Sony Office if you want the info. The 8pin remote is for connection to the Sony RM-B150/170/750 remote control panels. For system cameras the same protocol is used between RCP panels, MSU, CCUs and camera heads. It is a proprietry system so extremely difficult to hack! The RM-B170 is the ideal panel to work with the PMW-F5/55. It will give basic painting control of R/B white & black painting, Master Pedestal, and Iris with the correct lens (Cabrio etc). It can also control remote Rec stop start.Regards, Clive. Sony ANZ.

  • Counter Pin-Outs for 6025E

    Greetings,
Regarding the 6025E w/ SCB-100, what are the normal I/O pin-outs one uses for the 2 counters? DIO 6 and 7 can control the counter. GPCTR0_OUT and GPCTR1_OUT I presume are the pinouts for pulse trains, etc. Is this correct? Would GPCTR0_SOURCE and GPCTR0_GATE then function as inputs?
My immediate use for these pinouts would be a frequency input TTL count on counter 0 and a PWM signal output from counter 1. I'm finding the information in the 6025E user manual quite confusing. Would somebody please be so kind to point me to examples or a discussion that detail which type of pin-out to use where?

By default, GPCTRX_SOURCE is the source and GPCTRX_GATE the gate for the counter X (X = 0 or 1). But you can use other PFI lines instead of these defaults inputs.
The outputs cannot be set to other pins than GPCTRX_OUT.
DIO6 is the default auxiliary line of counter 0 and DIO7 of counter 1. They will set the direction of counting when the counter is configured for position measurement (UP/DOWN counter).
If not already done, I strongly recommend you to install the improved counter palette.
There are a lot of examples that ships with LV. They will help you to start your counter application. For LV7 : LV Menu --> Help --> Find examples --> Hardware Input and Output --> Traditional DAQ --> Counters --> DAQ-STC.
Measure Frequency (DAQ-STC).vi not only shows how to measure a frequency but also how to set non default values for source and gate.
Both counters of the PCI-6025E are needed to measure a frequency and therefore it will not be possible to run another counter task at the same time. One counter is configured for simple event counting and will therefore count the pulses on its source. The counting is gated by the second counter that is used to generate a single pulse.
Frequency [Hz] = Number of pulses / Measure time [s]
The duration of the measurement is very accurate because it is given by hardware (internal timebase of the counter).
If the frequency of the signal is low, it will be more accurate to measure the period of the signal --> Measure Period (DAQ-STC).vi.
This method requires only one counter. The source of the counter is the internal timebase and the external signal is used to gate the counter. (number of pulses of the internal timebase between two rising or falling edges of the signal).
The numerous advanced DAQ counters functions allow you to go very deep in detail and I recommend you to go through some of the examples that ships with LV or that you can find on ni.com.

  • USB pin out question

What is the difference between the USB header pin out on a 266 pro2 RU board and the KT3 Ultra 2 boards?  I replaced the RU board with the ultra2 board, keeping the USB brackets and connecting  them to the USB 2 headers on the new board. These USB connectors never worked.   Finally replaced one with the DLED/USB2 bracket that came with the Ultra 2 board, Works just fine. I thought the pin out were the same... must be wrong somewhere...

  • Pin out for connector block - CB-50LP (50 pins)

    1. Need pin out designation for 50 pins connector block, for use in multifunction DAQ (6024E)
    2. Connections from 6024E to 68 pins connector block.

    1.  How are you connecting the 6024E to the 50 pin connector block?  Any special 68 to 50 pin cable or adapter should have a pinout that comes with it.  If you have an NI cable or adapter you should be able to look in that part's manual online at ni.com and find this pinout.
    2.  What specific 68-pin connector block are you using, is it an SCB-68?  For an SCB-68 the pins on the connector block are mapped to the same pin on the 6024E or any E-Series and most M-Series boards.  The pinout for the 6024E will be the pinout for the SCB-68.

  • Does anyone know the sound card specs (USB/Optical out) for the Macbook Pro 15 Retina?

I have looked everywhere and have just given up. The "technical specs" aren't very technical at all. Anyway, I have mine hooked up to a Cinema display, so the Thunderbolt and one USB are used on the left hand side. That leaves just one USB for 3 printers, one scanner, my Griffin PowerMate and my DAC. So I was wondering if using the Optical (Toslink Mini) out in the headphone jack might be a plan if I can find a DAc that deosn't need the USB for power AND if the optical out is 24/192.
I am just starting to set the laptop up as a replacement for my Mac Pro Desktop so wondering what to do here.
    Thanks!

I've just started to look into an issue I'm having with my DAC and my new iMac. There are some serious issues with using a DAC with USB3.0, so you may not even be able to use your DAC on your USB port. I'm getting a lot of popping noises when going through my USB 3.0 ports. I've had some success my hooking my DAC up to a UDSB hub (which is USB2). Problem there becomes power supply issue, whereas the problem with USB3 is data transfer.

  • Pin-Outs for JP1-1 on Audigy (SB00

I have a antec case, which has front panel sound/mic and firewire connectors.
I have managed to wire up the firewire connector to the onboard 394 interface, but I need to now wire up the front mic/sound connectors for my headset as my bluetooth one doesn't work as an audio gateway, and cable for headset is not long enough to go to back of pc.
Does anyone know what the pinouts are for jp-, as I think these are the pinouts I need to use, they are part of the Ext2 pins which are jp-2.
Ideally I want to use my audigy so don't have to enable the onboard soundcard, but if I do need to enable onboard sound then will they work in tandem with each other without any problems, or will I have a lot of messing about to do.
I would appreciate any advice on this - thanks

What you think and reality are not always same thing. As you could find on this forum, or CreativeFAQ, or Google, that connector is carrying only digital signals, nothing analogic.
Look on Solution ID #3026, click on "Internal Connections" and then on "AUD EXT" and you will see those pins (there are no 2 separate connectors, the pins # 29,30 are just missing):

  • Pin connector for front headphone ja

The front headphone jack cable connection on my Dell 4600 is incompatible with my new Xtreme Gamer soundcard's male pin connection. Can anyone tell me where to find the correct female pin connector, and how do I know which leads go to which pin slots? Thanks?

more or less to adapt the here is the crude way to do it. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. . Check to see if you have some slack from /8-/4" of an in in cable is going bye bye.2. Cut all the wires or the cable with all the colored ones in them about /2-" up the line.3. Strip exposed ends as to allow splicing on the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Black, and brown cables only.4. on the plug side twist together these wire colors [The should always be back to back]:?Blue and Green??Yellow and Orange5. Splice the wires together from plug piece to wires goint to front:??[Blue+Green {Step 4}] to just the Blue Wire? The Purple and Navy Blue that went into the hole next to plugged are not used trim all off plug.
[Yellow +Orange{Step 4}] to just the Yellow wire.
Brown to Brown?Black to Black?Red to Red6. Check your work: Wires not connected that lead to front of computer should be: Grey, Orange, Purple, and Navy.7. Use electrical tape to cover exposed splices area on each splice. Make sure tight at least 2 rotations.8. Use electrical tape to wrap all wires together and tightly.9. Plug the newly rewired plug into your SB Card.0. DONE.

  • Looking for pin out for tx2000 touch screen

any one have the pinout or know where I can get it for the TX2000 touch screen.  I'm looking to put this into my car as a monitor for my carputer. HP techs can you help me out. Many thanks.

    Hello mricci,
As long as it is not customer induced damage, the screen is replaceable under your warranty. I do not believe changes in temperature would be considered CID. In other words, as long as you didn't drop it or throw it, it should be replaceable. I would contact the Ideapad Support line and schedule a repair for it.
Keep in mind for future references that when a computer is exposed to temperatures coler than 32 F, the liquid in the lcd can freeze up when that happens. To warm up the computer, it must be exposed little by little to a warmer temperature to avoid damage to the screen and condensation to it's internal hardware. Hope that helps.

  • What is the pin out for your PXI-2503?

    Hello,
I have purchased a PXI-2503 analog switch, and I have been unable to find the pinouts for this device anywhere. I have connecting directly from the PXI-2503 into my board.

    Hi Champ065,
If you have the NI-Switch drivers installed, then you can go to the NI-Switches Help.  This can be found by clicking Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-SWITCH >> Documentation >> NI-Switches Help.  When you open this up, navigate to NI Switches Help >> Devices >> NI PXI-2501/2503.  From there, select your topology and you can see the pinouts on the right.
Please let me know if you have any problems finding this.
    Thank You,

  • Pin layout for TV out header on RS480M2-il motherboard

    Hello,
Does anyone know where I might find the pin information for the TV out header on this board (MS-7093)? I have the version with the COM port on the back panal rather than the TV out connectors, and can't find the MSI TV bracket anywhere, but have found something I could use if I knew which pin carried the composite signal.
Is there any risk of damaging anything if I just go by trial and error; there are five pins on the motherboard, the others being for s-video.
    Thanks for any advice,
