MSA Client side Outlook 2007 Integration

Hi
We currently run MSA 5.0 SP11 and Outlook 2007
We run server side groupware integration currently but have had a lot of problems with it.
Questions:
- Is MSA integration available for Outlook 2007? - I follow the instructions but see no tab in the Outlook options (Outlook was closed when I installed it)
- Is there any further documentation available on the CLIENT SIDE Integration?
Many thanks
James

Thanks Abishek
I had already found this documentation, but it is more the installation of MSA that I wanted to check on first.
In the instructions:
"Choose Tools ® Options in Microsoft Outlook.
The Options dialog box appears ....................
2.      Choose the SAP CRM Calendar Properties tab page to set values for automatically synchronizing the mobile client and Microsoft Outlook calendars.
If you choose more than one option, the synchronization process affects performance.
If you do not choose any settings on this tab page, you would have to trigger synchronization manually.
3.      Choose Optionsu2026.
The SAP CRM Calendar Synchronization Settings dialog box appears.
4.      Perform the steps described in the "Common Synchronization Settingsu201D section."
In Outlook 2007, we certainly do not see this tab which shoudl be independant of what has been configured server side
Any ideas?

  • Siebel and Outlook 2007 integration

    Hi there,
Does anyone know of issues with Outlook 2007 version integrating with CRM on demand? I installed the plug in and have the lookup CRM contact button but I don't have the "send and add to Siebel" button when I create new message.
    Thanks in advance!

    I have both buttons...
    Is anyone experiencing any issues?
The integration works fine on the OnDemand side but when using Send and Add to OnDemand...the outbound message gets stuck in the Outbox...never moving to the Sent items...the recipient is receiving the email?
    Anyone else experiencing this?
    Thanks

  • Outlook 2007 client has former user's name.

I have Windows 2012 servers. One of which has Exchange server 2013. Most of my email clients have Outlook 2007, and some have Outlook 2013. On one of the Outlook 2007 clients, the previous user's name appears above Inbox in left panel. On a spare computer
with Outlook 2007, I logged in as the affected user and setup Outlook for her. Her name appeared above the inbox until I closed and restarted Outlook. Then, the same former user's name appeared. On the user's computer, I gave this affected user local admin
rights, but the Disable Offline files option was grayed out. The affected user's account name is all that's listed under Email accounts tab. Under Data there is an OST file with the former user's name. Someone told me that my predecessor renamed the former
user's AD account for the new (affected) user--rather than creating a new AD account for the user. I've read that Exchange gets information from each user's AD account. Is the next step to delete the affected user's AD account and create a new one for her?
If so, do I leave her Exchange account, her computer's Windows profile, and Outlook profile/setup alone while I'm doing this? It may seem a minor issue, but it's frustrating to this manager. Recipients do receive her emails with her name as the sender
    though.

    Hi,
Before we go further, I'd like to confirm if the affected user has two mailboxes and the meaning of former user.
And for the strange OST file issue, I recommend you try to delete all OST files and recreate the profile to have a test.
    Thanks,

  • Outlook 2007 on Terminal Server cannot manage Public Folder Favorites after Migration to Exchange 2013

    Hi,
we are running a Server 2008 R2 as a Terminal Server with Outlook 2007 SP3 (incl Nov 2012 Update 12.0.6665.5000) which is known as fully supported with Exchange 2013.
With Exchange Server 2007 we did not have any issues. But after having successfully migrated to Exchange 2013 we cannot manage our public folders favorites from these clients anymore.
As we are running Outlook 2007 on a WTS we can not use Exchange Cache Mode and so we can also not download Public-Folders-Favorites as an option. Whenever we try to delete existing favorites or when we try to delete public folders with content or subfolders
there will be an error msg that says that it cannot be deleted and that there may be no sufficient permissions. But this IS NOT the issue NOR the solution as I have full admin rights and am owner of the public folders.
On single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled we can manage the favorites and the public folders without problem.
We need to be able to manage the favorites of all users (circa 50-60 users) from the WTS with Outlookm 2007. I have no more ideas right now. Does anyone know how to get this settled?
    Thanks, Paula

    Hi,
Based on the description, users could access public folders successfully, but when they tried to manage public folder favorites or wanted to remove specified folders, they got error message of no sufficient permissions.
     Is it right?
You mentioned on single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled, user can operate normally. Is this a WTS with Outlook 2007 installed?
If possible, please switch this Outlook client from cached mode to online mode to check result.
    Best regards,

  • Outlook 2007 reminders with no reminder checked

Our users are sending appointments to other internal users with the reminder unchecked, and the users still receive the reminder. Even when both users have reminders turned off by default, they all receive the reminder.
We are using Exchange 2007 and all clients are Outlook 2007.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Please try to reproduce the issue to see whether it will be generated again.
If the issue could be reproduce, then it should be the bug(bug id: 131520) and the only workaround at this time, per Office/Outlook:
Disable the Automatic Calendar Processing settings (all) in OWA Options for the Exchange Server 2007 SP1 user or use the following command shell command:
    Set-mailboxcalendarsettings "User" -AutomateProcessing None
If you prefer, you could contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) directly to obtain the fix. For a complete list of Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) phone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;CNTACTMS
NOTE: Support calls for hotfix are free. Please do not worry. Even in some cases, contacting phone support may be a charged. However, if you are simply requesting a hotfix be sent to you and no other support then charges are usually refunded or waived.
If issue cannot be reproduced, then please use the below steps to clear the reminder item in Reminder Folder table.
    1.    Configure Outlook to open in Online Mode.
    a.    Open Outlook 2007-Tools-Account Settings.
    b.    To specify a new location for users' OST files, click More Settings, and click Enable offline use. Enter a folder path and file name for the OST file location. You can also enter a path in the Directory path to store the Offline Address Book files box, and click OK.

Profile>Right Click on Mailbox and Open Store> Expand Root Container> Select the Reminder Folder> Right Click and Select Open Content Table>Try to find the reminders that are popping up by the Subject and To Column.

  • Garbage Mail in Outlook 2007 for  workflow  approval and completion

    Dear SRM Gurus,
We have implemented SRM 7.0 and are currently facing issue with outlook 2007 integration.
The workflow work item mail are getting Fwd to Outlook  after scheduling  the report /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND with option
    - one e-mail per workitem
    -HTML format
    - approval button not available.
However the  work item mail is coming with garbage content.  earlier we have formating issue and then implemented OSS Note 1482125 , after that entire mail content is a garabage mail in outlook.  the format of the mail in SOST is now showing "HTM"  and  in SOST mail  looks good.
Have anyone experienced this issue earlier ?
Or  does  outlook 2007 only  support  plain text format and not  HTML format.
Any help in this will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Iftekhar Alam

    Dear Iftekhar,
I guess your problem is the HTM format of the mails, as Outlook 2007 does not use browsers but MS Word to display the mails. You should try to send the RAW format.
For Outlook 2010, HTM is supported again, but weu2019re using RAW format, too, for that version.

  • MS Outlook 2007 and SBO outlook integration OK?

I have a client that has MS outlook 2007 installed on some client machines and would like the SBO integration as well, has anyone done this yet and have there been any issues?
    Thanks! Amy

    Hi Amy,
What version of SBO are you running? We've had problems with Outlook 2007 and Outlook Integration (eg getting the OI toolbar to display properly) when running SBO 2007A.
You can get more details by logging your question with SAP Support but, for what it's worth, my recommendation is avoid it at the moment if you can.

  • New inbox rule not showing up in Outlook 2007 client

I have made a rule for testing with the Exchange Management Shell. The rule worked. My problem lies in that the end-users have Outlook 2007 for the client software but the rule I create isn't visible (though it is working). The end-user needs to be able
to switch the rule on and off still. The rule does show up in the Outlook Web App however. I can't figure out why the rule isn't list in the Outlook 2007 client. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Hi AMartin89,
    Thank you for your question.
Did you rebuild profile to check if the issue persist?
Did the issue occur on all users?
Could you post command which you create Inbox rule on PS?
What is you outlook version? We could update outlook to latest version to check if the issue persist.
We could configure profile on outlook 2010 to check if the issue persist.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim

  • Outlook 2007 client accessing Apple email account

    Hi,
Can anyone help me here. I have users who have to have Outlook 2007 as their  mail clinet. But we use a Mac mail server to host their accounts. All clients that use Macs have no issue (Realise Mac is best).

  • Outlook 2007 client reacurrance calendar not updating in mailbox

    Hello,
Using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 client. User has access to a shared Calendar in Public Folder. She makes an Recurrence Appt in Public Folder and invites herself to Appt. If she changes one of the future apt (Location change or something like that) it
updates the Public Folder but not hers. I added myself to this apt and I am using Outlook 2013 and my apt does indeed update. I also can see in "Outlook Web Access" has updated, so just the Outlook 2007 client not updated.
Any thought into why? Unable to Upgrade to user to Outlook 2013 until New year for other reasons.
    thank you for any help.
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Please first make sure she has installed all available updates for Outlook 2007.
In addition, please have the user temporarily turn off his antivirus and test again.
If still no luck, we may try testing with a new Outlook profile. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918
Please let me know the result.

  • Outlook 2007 Clients Cannot Access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 Mailbox

    Hi:
I have Outlook 2007 clients that cannot access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 mailboxes.  They receive error like "...you do not have appropriate permissions..."
If those same users logon to a machine running Outlook 2010 then they can view the free/busy info. of the other user's mailbox, so I believe the permissions are set correctly on the mailbox to allow the viewing.
    Any insights are greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!
    Bob Herman IT Tropolis

    Hi Herman,
As you said, it seems users have proper permissions on mailbox.
Please make sure users has Reviewer permission on Outlook 2007.
Please try to run Outlook 2007 under safe mode or re-create profile.
Also try to turn Outlook 2007 to Exchange Online mode from Cached mode.

  • Certificate error on Outlook 2013 clients, Outlook 2007 clients do not get certificate error, Exchange 2010, dot local domain name

    Hi
I'm looking for a solution that I can't seem to find.  I have an Exchange 2010 server running in a dot local domain (domainname.local), so my SSL certificate is installed using the servers external email DNS name.  email.mycompany.com
I have followed the instructions to resolve this on the Exchange server, implemented the changes so autodiscovery sees the server as email.mycompany.com.  This works great for my Outlook 2007 users.  The downside is that none of my Outlook 2013
clients can access their email without the certificate error server name mismatch.
I know Outlook 2013 has tighter security but I need to get rid of these cert errors, any thoughts out there?

    Hi,
Since both your Outlook 2007 users and Outlook 2013 users are using Exchange 2010 with the same server configuration, it should be working in both Outlook client version.
Please restart your IIS service by running IISReset /noforce from a Command Prompt window in Exchange to have a try. In Outlook, please re-create a Outlook profile to check whether the issue persists.

  • Exchange 2013, Outlook 2007 clients Problems with Outlook Anywhere connection

    Hi everyone,
    I have a mail system Exchange 2013 SP1, on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have only one mail server with the Client Access and Mailbox roles Server.
    I have a Wildcard certificate type *. Mydomain.com.
All connections to the Outlook Anywhere Outlook 2010, Outook 2013 work correctly.
The ActiveSync connections are working properly, too.
But Outlook 2007 clients connecting with Outlook Anywhere asking for credentials continuously fail continuously.
    How can I solve this?
    thank you very much
Microsoft Certified IT Professional Server Administrator

    Hi,
Based on my experience, we need to set Outlook provider with the domain name if it's wildcard certificate:
    Set-OutlookProvider -Identity EXPR -CertPrincipalName msstd:*.domain.com
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc535023(EXCHG.80).aspx
Thus, I recommend you try the above configuration and test the Outlook connection again.
