MSA - MSY: CPResult Mandatory in Activity

In MSA Application I want to set the CPResult field mandatory in any activity. I tried to set it this way in MSY:
- Go to Sales Transactions Settings.
- Field Property Maintenance.
- Create New:
Sales Trans: ZACT (my activity)
Business Object: BOACTIVITY
Property Name: CPResult
Mandatory: X
But it dosn't work!
Any help will be appreciated

Have you replicated the changes to CRM Server and then downloaded the same.
Have you restarted your CRM Mobile Sales and have tried.

In MSA --> BP detail tile, by default, only mandatory field is Name. How can we make some other fields mandatory so that user do not forget to enter this to have successful replication back to OLTP?

You can do this in two ways.
1. Find corresponding business object property in BO (might be BOCAPGEN for business partner), change its attribute from normal to mandatory.
2. On UI, change mode of respective control from Normal to Mandatory.
Personally, I prefer the first option.

PM order: operation short text mandatory for active operations only?

Hi experts,
a quick question regarding operation short texts in the PM order:
I would like to make short texts in PM order operations mandatory.
When I set the short text to "mandatory" in the "operation list customizing" field selection (Tcode OIOPL), all of the operations in the order shown in the operation list (standard 0010 to 0170) get the short text field marked as mandatory.
This means that a short text is expected even for operations which are not used/active, which is a pain if I only want to use operations 0010 and 0020...
Does anyone know of an OSS note that fixes this?
Or is there some other customizing that needs to be done?

Hi,
There is no fix for this as its not an error as such. The screen processing does not distinguish between active and non-active operation lines. So if short text is mandatory it will be required on every operation line. OIOPL is not suitable for marking fields mandatory for that reason - ok for hiding fields or making display only.
Consider the exit as suggested.

Msa: contact person selection for activity

Hello forum,
I've installed msa50 sp6 and now I want to now, when I creat an activity and select
a contact person to this activity by search window, is it possible to select more than only one person (multiselect) or must I for every contact person open the search window and select the contact person again ?
Can somebody check this behaviour ?

Multiple selection is not possible in MSA.
You can select one contact person at a time

MSA: Defaluting function in "Person Responsible" tile in Activity

Dear Colleagues,
In MSA --> Activities tile, whenever new activity is created and saved, in the "person Reponsible" subtile within Activity tile, the function field is defaluted to value "Sales Representative".
We need to make it to "Sales Manager" by default in the combo. How can it be done?

I have worked with MSA 3.0. Looks like in 4.0 SAP has moved the code to beforesave event.
In that case, check out boactemployee. There you should have a method getDefaultRELTYP. Put a breakpoint in this method and try to create an activity.
Here using bdoc opppftccombo, default reltype (sales rep / 00000012) is being determined.
You can replace it with the one you want. You can either hard-code it or change it in table CDBC_PARTNER_PDP for your partner determination procedure using config.

Unfortunately, it doesn't tell about Template Type modification, because for me the fields in the tile are in gray, and not modifiable (-> ReadOnly). I tried also in another environment, the same 'problem' occurs (note that I haven't tried yet to create a new template type).
Maybe the maintenance can be done via CRM, what do you think of it ?

Budget mandatory for earmarked fund

the funds managment module is made mandatory and activated. while accounting the expenses the system checks the buget avaialality and does not allow unitl the budget is available for a committment item.
i want to make the budget availablity mandatory even while raising the earmarked fund against the budget. i am able to raise earmarked fund even without any budget upload.
i want to know how to make budget mandatory for earmarked fund pleae.

Hi,
That's up to your update profile. Check whether earmarked funds are created as statistical updates; you can do it via OFUR transaction. Then, change it to be non-statistical for relevant value type (81, 65 or 82 - depending what earmarked funds - commitments or reservation - you are using).

GRC10: Mandatory Comments on SPM Log Review

Gurus, is there a way to make comments mandatory when approving the SPM Log Report that the controller reviews? I have set the Task Setting to Comments Mandatory -> Approval (activated the workflow). Yet this has no impact. The controller is not forced to enter in any comments prior to approving. What am I missing??

No report is reaching in the controler's e-mail box.In the spool(/VIRSA/VFAT) it's giving me only overview(no logs like old value and new value).
Earlier it was allright. I noticed one thing in R/3 under T.code SCOT >INIT>SMTP,there are 100 of messages jammed in the queue.Do you think it could be a possible reason for this? If so, i need to report the issue to the BASIS team.

Yes you can activate EA-PLM through transaction code SFW5.Java is not mandatory for activation of PLM.

Hello Gerd,
This is a mobile only field and is not transferred to CRM Online.
When you mark a bp as inactive in Mobile, then it is not available to create transaction data in Mobile only.

Doubt in using html:checkbox in struts

In my jsp page i have 2 checkboxes name mandatory and active.

Insertion of data works fine,and now my doubt is about the edit mode.
In edit mode,depending on th value of thethese fields wheteher 0 or 1,checkbox should be checked.how can it be done?
In th corresponding for,the properties I declared as boolean values.Also reset method is provided .

Info Record creation for Pipeline Material

Hello,
I am having issued while creating the Info records for a Pipeline Material(water)
This is the error.
"Material XXXX not a pipeline material" where as I have created the material as a Pipeline.
I have Info Record created previously for other plants within same Porg and CC.
Need the Info record in the Process Order where it does not allow to confirm the Order without the price that comes from Info Record
Can anyone tell me what is the issue?

Confirm that the material XXXX is created under material type "PIPE"
check for the material type in T code OMS2, whether "Pipeline mandatory" is active. And under "Quantity/value updating" option "Quantity updating" and "Value updating" should not be active.

Middleware initial load error on funcloc segment type (ADR2) does not exist

Hello,
We are doing initial loads of data into a new CRM 7.0 system.
So far all objects have been done except Functional locations (FUNCLOC).
During the initial load of the functional locations the various BDOCs all go into error state.
The error is the same everywhere: segment type adr2 does not exist.
If we deactivate the adr2 table In transaction R3AC1 and process again, we get the error message for the next table
(Like: segment type IFLOTX does not exist) and so on.
IS there any settings we can do to manage these 'segments' or would there be another wa to solve this?

Hello,
Take a look at note 1271465, it does not talk about the ADR2 segment but about segment errors in SMW01 for functional location download. It might be useful. Observe especially the constraint in ERP version number, it might be that your ERP system is out-of-date/incompatible for this scenario.
Second thing to check, go to SPRO>CRM>Master Data>Installed Base>Replication of technical objects from ERP
There you'll find a mandatory customizing activity for Functional location download.
And in the documentation of activity "Replication of Functional locations: Prerequisites and General information" you'll find all the necessairy actions to perform.
This helped me in setting up funcloc replication in CRM 7.0.
