Msaccess97 to 8.1.7 - active X error in creating

I click on omwb.mde to convert my db to an xml file. When I select the mdb file I want to convert and click export, I get this error:
" Error # 429:ActiveX component can't create object. "
I've tried to convert several msaccess97 files but all have the same error. Is there something I need to configure with activex to allow this conversion to take place? if so, how/what?

Hi,
This is quite baffling as we don't use any ActiveX controls in the XML creation executable.
You could install Access on another machine and attempt to replicate the problem. If it persists, please send the mdb file to [email protected] and we shall investigate further.

I am Basis person and recently we have refreshed data of Test BI system from Development BI system. we normally carry out these Refresh but In this case we have also changed Hostname and SID for Test BI system.
We have done all BW refresh steps as per guide and during Restore of source system we
are getting errors during datasource activation as " error while creating table EDISEGMENT ".
we have checked RFC and Partner profiles and working fine.
We have 2 clients connected from source system to our Test BI box.strange thing is we got one source system activated without any errors and for second
source system we are getting above mentioned error.
We have reviewed notes 339957 , 493422 but our BI fuctional team is not sure whether
those apply to our OLTP system , as one source system from same OLTP system got
successfully activated and source system for other client giving this issue .
Please help us out with this problem.
we are running on BI 7.0 platform and ECC 6.0 for source.

check the relevant profiles in We20 t code and also in sm59 if the remote connection with autorisation is sucssessfull, connection is ok otherwise you need to check th paramters.

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

Pop-Up Menus and active content errors - Help!

I'm attempting to add pop-up menus to my navigation bar, to
make my site more user-friendly, but to no avail:
I've tried designing pop-up menus in Fireworks, then
importing the html code in, but that gives me errors when I try to
insert the bar. Then, I tried putting my menus in different layers,
with a "show layer" behavior on the button, and a "hide layer"
behavior attached to the roll-off of the layer, but my version of
Dreamweaver won't attach a behavior to a layer.
Then, I noticed the tech-note on this site for the fix to use
pop-ups in a template, so I added pop-up menus directly to my
navigational buttons using the wizard. So here's where my problem
comes in. . .
When I preview my page, it throws up an active content error,
but will still run. I uploaded it to my remote server, but when I
went to the url, no action takes place when I put my cursor over
it. Anybody have any ideas on how to create a pop-up menu that
won't throw up an active content error? I've seen them on plenty of
websites before, but can't figure how to do them.
Any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated!

Sometimes, they make your site less user-friendly. So be
careful.
The DW/FW pop-up menus are usually something that should be
avoided. They
are very poorly thought out and implemented, and will likely
cause you
continuing problems. It's foolish to devote the time to them
that could be
more effectively be placed elsewhere, especially since there
are better
options that work right out of the box, so to speak. Please
check the free
and commercial options here -

Please tell me how to correct the error 'Invalid source system name ZBPS222 entered' and 'Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects'
while activating ODS.

Dear Vaishali ,
Go to Infosources , in the Menu Bar you can find Settings --> Display Generated Objects --> Show all Generated Objects . Select this and refresh the Entire Screen for Infosources, Then press Cntrl + F , to search your Data mart 8(Techname of ODS ) .
Note : all this applies only if your Myself system is properly connected, So just Goto Source Systems and Check the Connection for your BW System which is indicated with as Myself Connection .

Error while creating activities from Account application (Activity tab page

Hi Experts,
We are using CRM 5.0 with PCUI ( EP 7.0 version). We are getting below error when try to create activities from Account application in PCUI ( from activity tab page):
Error : Activity contains error.
Diagnosis
This transaction has errors.
Procedure
To correct the errors, go to the maintenance interface of the transaction.
To navigate to there, use the link to the account application
Pls suggest how to proceed with this error & helpful solutions would be rewrded generously.

We are getting this error when try to create Activity from Account application in PCUI. But the same thing is working fine in at GUI level & actions profile assigned to Activity transaction is also working fine at GUI level. But in PCUIit is throwing this below error.
Diagnosis
You have attempted to create a follow-up transaction for an incorrect transction 2000764. This is not possible. You can only create follow-up transactions for error-free transactions.
System Response
The follow-up transaction is not created.
Procedure
Correct the errors in the source transaction 2000764. The error messages resulting from processing the error can be read in the application log in the source transaction.
Pls suggest solution for this.

When i clicked an activity and select Check in option it shows the Activation window .Then when i clicked on Activate button i am getting Activation failed error.Below is the error message:
Activation failed: Incorrect content-type found com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.soapbinding.ContentTypeImpl 3021c6 Service call exception; nested exception is:

Just check the full hostname of your DTR server, should be like
hostname.company.com
and check if somewhere only
hostname
is being used.and both are getting successfully pinged. DO not try the NWDS ping. Use command prompt and
ping hostname
and
ping hostname.company.com
Also this happens due to some clash with some other developer. Please check after some time, may be after a desktop restart. things should start working.

An Active Directory error 0x51 occurred when trying to check the suitability of server

We have several exchange administrators and two exchange 2010 servers and one exchange 2007 server. I am getting the following error message
when opening up Exchange Management Console on one of the exchange 2010 server.
"An Active Directory error 0x51 occurred when trying to check the suitability of server 'dc101.domain.local'. Error: 'Active directory
response: The LDAP server is unavailable.'
dc101 does not exist anymore. I tried changing the Configuration Domain Controller by manually specify a domain controller but get the exact
same error message and also gets an empty list when selecting the domain. Other administrators who logs into to the same server do not get this error message.
If I open the exchange management console on another exchange server, it works without problem. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change
to point it to the correct domain controller using power shell?

I fixed it for myself.
Organization Configuration->Modify Configuration Domain Controller->select Use a default domain controller

Activation server error on ADE 3.0

Hi!
I unistalled ADE 4.0 and installed 3.0 because 4.0 wouldn't let me open .acsm files or transfer them to other devices. Now, on ADE 3.0, when i try to open an .acsm file, it comes up with a computer autorisaton window which reads "activation server error - code E_ADEPT_INTERNAL"
when i checked both the device and computer authorisation, it says that they are both authorised.
please help!

It is important that the shared_pool value be specified in bytes. For example:
shared_pool= 100000000
If you are running on 9i, another possibility is that the shared_pool setting is not taking effect
when the database is bounced. In 9i there is a new startup file called the "spfile". This is just
like the init.ora file with the following differences:
1. It cannot be edited by a standard editor. It is a binary file.
2. Any system changes to the database while the instance is running (e.g. via alter system) are automatically
written back to the spfile.
By default, when the 9i database starts up, it first looks for the spfile. If it finds one it uses the
settings defined in it. If it doesn't, it looks for the init.ora file.
When a 9i database is installed both init.ora and spfile.ora are created for the instance by default. Changes to
init.ora are not seen by spfile.ora unless the "create spfile" command is used to sync them up.
To get around this behavior, there are several options:
1. remove the spfile so that only the init.ora file exists. The database will then use init.ora exclusively.
2. sync up the init.ora file and spfile.ora file using:
create spfile='spfile.ora ' from pfile='init.ora'
where 'spfile.ora' and 'init.ora' are replaced with the appropriate names for your instance.
3. Explicitly reference the init.ora file when starting up the database using:
startup pfile='init.ora'
where 'init.ora' is replaced with the appropriate name for your instance.

Would you please verify that the user account you used has all the required permission?
Would you please use DCDiag tool to check the DC connectivity?
Although I am not very familar with scripts,I remeber I have seen a similar case with running Get-CsUser using C# is fixed by called
Enable-PsRemoting on ther server,you can try it to see if it also works for you.

Active Directory error using Upgrade Mgmt Tool - BI 4.1 sp 3

I am in the process of creating a new BI 4.1 SP 3 environment within out company. The software has been installed and I wanted to perform a Complete Upgrade from our existing XI 3.1 sp5 environment into our new 4.1 environment. Also, we are using Windows Active Directory authentication and AD groups for security.
The Upgrade Mgmt Tool fails with an Active Directory Error message similar to the one below:
Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for account with ID <insert really long alpha numeric string here>; CN=<insert name of employee no longer working for the company>. Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain.
Well, the account is not valid because this executive no longer works here. Most likely within Active Directory all groups owned by this person were transferred over to his replacement. Is there an way to have the upgrade mgmt tool bypass this validation check? Or does anyone have any other suggestions how to get around this error? Once this error occurs I can't upgrade. I guess the alternative is to do an incremental upgrade, group by group, until I find the offending group but I was wondering if there was an easier way as that will be very time consuming.

@JRKPrasad Thank your for your thoughtful and accurate response. It took less than 2 minutes to update AD in BI 3.1.x and the UMT tool is off and running migrating content from BI 3.1 to our new BI 4.1 environment.

Activity management - error when displaying attached files

Hi Gurus
we are using CRM 7.0 with the Web user interface. one on my users is getting an error when trying to display a saved attachment in an Activity.
the error says" No dument display because of missing customising for HTTP service '/default_host/sap/bc/content
i tried searching on spro to look for customising because on development its working fine, only the Live system is giving an error
pls help me with the path and also how to fix this error.
