MSAD upgrade to 2008 R2 - user authentication - HFM FDM 9.3 DM 11.1

Looking to see if planned MSAD upgrade from 2003 to 2008 R2 will require any HFM, FDM or Disclosure Management administration to avoid possible user authentication errors? I understand they are compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean connections will be uninterrupted. Anyone been there?

What was the error in the schema update utility?
The schema update log would be in the outbox\logs directory of the FDM application that is being upgraded.

Help to resolve Unable to connect to XL reporter user authentication

I upgraded business one 2007 from PL 11 to PL42 on SQL Server 2000. I have 7 companies and only one of them has a problem loading XL reporter. I first get a sql script executor - execution result screen with what looks like errors in a script that has lines taht refer to OADM. then it gives a message when I X out of it'
'Unable to connect to XL reporter
Error! User authentication failed!
Cause: ExitCode -1'
then I get the sql script executor again, X out, and then it asks to start with out the add-on.
What is weird is that the SQL script message will come up after a while once I turn on the laptop
and am doing other things, but have not gone into Business One yet.
Any ideas as I am stumped.

support helped me resolve. the table xrdbv had a incorrect value in the PartnerDBV field. We updated the field and XL reporter then worked.

my issue was that the partnerdbv was a different version than the B-one software. I have values in dobjver (1.8), parver(22.02), partner (SBOOEM) , and partnerdbv (see below) . the others are NULL.
the values are version specific to the version of Business One and my partnerdbv was 800176 when my buiness one version was 800177. Once we changed parnerdbv to 800177, it worked. I didn't change it-support did with a webex session. good luck.

CE 7.2 NWDS wdp ws client user authentication error

I am running a CE 7.2 sp 01 env with NWDS. In my landscape I have some webservices running on PI 7.1.
I am trying to develop a webdynpro webservice client. When run gets user authentication errors.
I have configured the Service Groups, provider systems, http destinations etc for this webservice.
After I have successfully build and deployed the wdp app I am getting error on the wdp gui screen like this:

Synchronize MSAD and essbase groups and users automatic

I know it is not possible to import to Essbase users and groups directly from MSAD or LDAP. All users are deffined with external authentication.<BR><BR>There is a way to create an application which make this synchronization possible ?<BR><BR>May I have some samples?<BR><BR>Thanks.<BR>

If you are using LCM and groups are native and users are external provisioned against the groups then you will need to export the groups, if you want the provisioning against applications then you will also need to take that across.

802.1x eap-tls machine + user authentication (wired)

Hi everybody,
right now we try to authenticate the machines and users which are plugged to our switches over 802.1X eap-tls. Works just fine with windows.
You plug a windows laptop to a switchport and machine authenticates over eap-tls with computer certificate. Now the user logsin and our RADIUS (Cisco ACS) authenticates the user as well, with the user certificate. After eap-tls user-authentication the RADIUS checks if the workstation on which the user is currently logged in is authenticated as well. If yes = success, if no the switchport will not allow any traffic.
Now we have to implement the same befaviour on our MacBooks Pro. Here the problems start. First of all I installed user and computer certificates issued by our CA (Win 2008 R2). So far so good. Now I have no idea how to implement the same chain of authentication. I was reading countless blogs, discussions, documentations etc. about how to create .mobileconfig profiles. Right now im able to authenticate the machine, and _only_ if I login. As soon as I logout eap-tls stops to work. It seems that loginwindow does not know how to authenticate.
1) how do I tell Mavericks to authenticate with computer certificate while no user is loged in ? already tried profiles with

Unfortunatelly this documents do not describe how to do what I want.
I already have an working 802.1x. But the mac only authenticates when the user is loged in. I have to say that even this does not work like it should. If Im loged in sometimes i need to click on "Connect" under networksettings and sometimes it connects just automatically. Thats really strange.
I set the eapolclient to debugging mode and see following in /var/log/system.log when I logout.

this are only debugging messages I get. Looks to me like eapolclient is not able to find a certificate (?)
The certificates are in my System keychain.
Unfortunatelly apple also changed the loging behaviour of eapolclient, I dont see any eapolclient.*.log under /var/log

Programmatic User Authentication in JHS 10.1.2

Could you please supply information how to enable programmatic User Authentication in JSH 10.1.2?

We are currently working on upgrading the old "JHeadstart Demo" to the JHeadstart ADF release. This demo will include programmatic user authentication. We have not scheduled the next patch release yet, but may 2005 seems realistic at this point.
In the meantime, you could start off with the implementation provided in the non-ADF Jheadstart release, and upgrade it to the ADF release. I know of one customer who did that. It is not that hard, the approach will largely stay the same. An authentication filter checks whether the user is already logged on by checking some session attribute and will forward to an authenticate user action that validates the username/password.

802.1X wirelss restriction on user authentication

Hi,
In the 802.1x wireless environment, I would like to know is there any method to control single user credential only able to be autheticated for one time, at any given time.
Example: user ABC in domain XYZ.ORG authenticated via his/her desktop, this is using user authentication method.
After this he/she not able to use the same username/password trying to get authenticate neither using any another PC/tablet/smartphone devices.
The motive is to prevent user using same user credential able sign-in after he/she made the authenticaiton at first place.
Meaning to say he/she only able to authenticate to single device, at any given time. Same user credential is not allow to be use for authenticate purpose on other device.
The components as below:
supplicant: Window 7, authentication method using PEAP/MSCHAPv2; Apple iPhone iOS version 5.x, 6.x
Authenticator: Cisco Wireless Controller 5800 Series on code version 7.2
Authentication server: Cisco secure server ACS 5.3
Identity Source : Microsoft server 2008 ADDS, single forest single domain.

01. What we can configure on WLC, or ACS to enable above mention requirement

User authentication Failed in XMII portal

Hi,
we are using XMII 12.0 version and deployed in SAP netweaver 2004s. We are frequently facing issue in XMII Menu page login and in SAP netweaver user management logins as "User authentication Failed". It is happening for all users suddenly. we are giving username and password correctly but we faced the same problems. We tried with all users then also we cant able to find the probem. Every time we needs to restart the server then it works.
What is the issue and how to resolve it?

Hi Senthil,
I would strongly recommend upgrading your installation. You are on 12.0.2 and the current release is 10 service packs later. You should upgrade to 12.0.12 before working on what is probably the original GA version from about 4 years ago.

OAS v10.1.2.3 REP-51018: Need database user authentication

I have an Forms/Reports 10g application, and when I call a report, I always get the "REP-51018: Need database user authentication" when using IE8.   It works fine with version 19, 20 and 21 of Firefox.   As IE8 is the corporate browser, calling reports need to work within IE8.
First, some pertinent information:
Server:
- Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with SP2
- OAS v10.1.2.0.2 upgraded to v10.1.2.3
           => Of note, reports did work with JInitiator on v10.1.2.0.2, but for several reasons, we need to move to v10.1.2.3 and use JPI.
- Server is a VM created by VMWare.
Client:
- Windows XP Pro v2002 with SP3 (moving to Windows 7 soon)
- IE8
- Firefox (for developers)
I have applied several ideas from several threads within this forums and documentation from other sites (Oracle being one of them), but to no avail. Here is a list of a couple of them that were pertinent to my problem:

It is getting very frustrating! I have performed this same upgrade, on different platforms, between 10 and 12 times with no issues what-so-ever! The strange part is that, for this upgrade (that I'm having difficulties with), I needed to sign the frmwebutil.jar and frmrwinteg.jar files; I never needed to do this for the other upgrades, except for the jacob.jar file, of course!

Dreamweaver Server Bahavior, User Authentication, Logout User Problem

Hi! I want to add a 'logout user' functionality to the PHP
page using Server Behavior, User Authentication, Logout User option
in Dreamweaver CS3.
I highlight the text, Logout, then clicked on the above
mentioned option and I get an error message:
While executing onLoad in Log Out User.htm, the following
JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 603 of file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver
CS3\Configuration\Shared\Controls\Script\TagMenu.js": The object is
not currently contained in a document.
In the Log Out User form, the "link clicked" is blank and
"when done" is not selectable.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Hi! I'm not using Javascript. I'm using PHP to log in and log
out a user. The log in implementation works fine. It's the log out
that is giving me problems.

IWork 2008 - Single-User to Family Version

Is it possible to upgrade the iWork 2008 (Single-User) license to the Family version? If so, how do I go about doing so?

If you haven't opened the package, I imagine you can exchange it. But there's no upgrade path for those who've already started using it.

User Authentication for subfolder not working in Web Browser

We are using Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.3 and Database Server 10.2.0.5 for our application.
One of the functionalities of the Application is to send emails with attachments.
The logic is that the Application would generate the attachment file on the Application Server.
Then a database package uses Oracle's utl_http package/procedures(more specifically utl_http.request_pieces where the single argument is a URL) to pick up the file from the Application Server via URL, attach the file and send the email.
Exchange and Relay Server is also set in the Application.
The problem is that the folder containing the folder which stores the attachments is having user authentication set.
Example : The main folder is /apps/interface, this folder requires a valid user when it is accessed via URL on a web browser.

The folder /apps/interface/email/ is the folder where the attachment files are generated and stored.

Using the above configuration the Application is able to attach the files and send the email, however, when we access the following URL :
http://10.12.213.21:7778/int-dir/ - it prompts for user authentication
However if we use the following URL :
http://10.12.213.21:7778/int-dir/email/ - it does not prompt for user authentication, and all the files in the folder are displayed in the browser.
I have tried so many things including AllowOverride, .htaccess, but i am not able to get user authentication for the email folder.
Please help me if you can.

Thanks for your response. I fixed the problem by selecting "full site" or "full website" at bottom of the web page. After making this selection the zoom function returned. Thanks again for your interest.

How many users does HFM support?

how many users does HFM support(Maximum)? and why we are choose HFM compare to Hyperion enterprise?

There is no limit, as long as you pay for the licenses and make sure you have a robust system to support user connectivity and demand.
Hyperion Enterprise is the previous Consolidation tool most commonly used by many companies. Think of HFM as the "New Generation"....
