What Windows Azure access does a user have when properly licensed with Visual Studio Premium and Visual Studio Ultimate?
At renewal how do they again gain access to their Windows Azure piece of their MSDN Subscription?

Azure msdn renewal problem

Hi, I've been using azure and the value of the subscription ran out. The account was disabled.
Fair enough but that was October and it is now November and I have renewed my msdn subscription.
However Azure does not seem to have noticed :-( and thinks my account is still disabled. I tried to activate my azure benefit on the msdn benefits page - but it says I already have an associated azure account (which hopefully I do). Azure
knows that I have an msdn account but does recognize msdn subscription renewal.
What to do next?

We might have to work with the backend team to enable / activate your subscription. Recommend you to raise a Free billing ticket with your subscription details via
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/options/ , select Get support -> and select the support type as billing.

Error trying to renew existing MSDN subscription

I have been trying to renew my MSDN subscription for the last 2 weeks. I get the error as shown in the image below.
I have emailed MSDN support (Australia/NZ) and they have not resolved this issue and I now haven't heard back from them for over a week. Can anyone else help. I have tried various browsers and PC's, but the same error always appears.
I have been an MSDN subscriber for over 10 years and have not had this problem before. What should be a simple process to renew an existing subscription has now taken me many hours of trying to unsuccessfully resolve this.

QSUF (Query string url filter) and SQL Server reporting services report viewer parameters

Hi,
this is my issue:
I have a SQL Server reporting services web part on a page with a report with 1 parameter, lets say it's a client list
Then i have a QSUF that will be used to filter the clients list through the URL
However, once i connect the filter and the report viewer web part, the parameter goes away and is no longer accessible
I'd like to somehow keep the parameter visible, in case there is no parameter sent through the URL, i would like the user to be able to choose a client from the parameter drop down list
I saw that there is a "send empty if no values are passed" option, but i can't seem to get this working properly and i don't know if this option will make the parameter visible again

According to your post, my understanding is that the query string url filter web part not worked well with SQL server reproting services web part.
Did you use the Wiki page layout in your environment?
You can change the page to a web part page, then check whether it work.

Can not select and delete a query in the screen designer

I am getting mad with that problem...
The problem is that I had a query(query1) based in another query(query2), both created in the query designer.
I think some changes been made to query2 so query 1 was giving some erros.
I am trying to delete query 1, but it still appears in the data sources.
And when I try to erase it from the screens, when I select the query visual studio closes...
So please, how can I erase that query definitely?

If Condition in Keyword Query Language (SharePoint 2013 Search Results)

Hi All,
Can we have an "If" condition in Query text box in SharePoint 2013 Search results page. For example, i want to hide all list items whose
status is "HideItem" from appearing in search results?
I am trying this: {?{searchTerms} (contentclass:STS_ListItem -ListItemStatus:"HideItem")}
But, this hides all items like aspx pages, pdf's, docs and displays only list items.
Similarly, hide pages of some name like: AllItems.aspx, ViewDetails.aspx, AllAssets.aspx
{?{searchTerms} (contentclass:STS_ListItem_850 -filename:"AllItems.aspx")}

Thanks Steve. I found this solution after a bit of struggle :).
Also, date comparision is not working as expected.
{?{searchTerms} NOT(contentclass:STS_ListItem AND ListItemStatus:"HideItem" AND
PublishDate<{Today})} is not working and throwing syntax error.
I don't see any solid reference to KQL syntax except this msdn link.
Can you please suggest any good material on KQL syntax ?

Query SharePoint List View

properties of the view that is specified by the viewName parameter override the properties that are specified in the query object that is passed through the query parameter. For example, if the query
object includes a tag that specifies only items containing a particular column value, while the view specifies to return all items, this method retrieves all of the items
So is there any way to query a sharepoint list view (not All Items) using CAML query?
I this retrieving view in a data table and query it later, which is an option but might give a performance degradation.

Adding a Descendents Query to a Cube

I have the following MDX query that I wish to add to a cube:

What's the best way to add a descendents query to a cube? I don't think I should include the Calendar Dimension as the cube has multiple Calendar Hierarchies that I want the calculation to use if selected. Essentially the calculation should do the calculation
at the lowest level even when it's rolled up to a higher level.
Any help and direction would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "Add query to a cube"? If you want to add the calculation to the cube, then we can add it in the Calculations tab in the cube designer in BIDS. A calculation is nothing but an MDX expression or script which is used to define
a calculated member, a named set, or a scoped assignment in a cube. For the detail information about how to do it, please refer to the links below.

Need help in MDX query

I am new to MDX language and need a MDX functions/query on the cube to get the required output, Given below is the scenario with the data.
I am maintaining the data in a table in dataMart with given structure. We have the data at day and weekly in a single table with granularity indicator and count is the measure group column. While loading the data in to mart table we are populaiting the week
Key from week table and Month key from month table and joining in the cube.
we need to calculate the inventory for a particular month. If a user selects a particular month the output would be count = 30 as a measure called Closed and count = 16 as a measure value called Open.
Need a MDX query to get output.

According to your description, you need to count the members with conditions in a particular month, right?
In MDX, we can achieve the requirement by using Count and Filter function, I have tested it on AdventureWorks cube, the sample query below is for you reference.

Last Result from Fulltext SQL Query Search Not Showing

I am creating a custom search results page for MOSS 2007 (using inline .aspx code - don't ask) that uses Fulltext SQL Queries. I get the results in a ResultTable (see code below) and then use a DataTable to write code to display it (I could have used
a DataGrid, I know).
The problem is that the last result is not showing. So, if it reports that there are 5 results, only 4 will show. I have verified that all 5 results do exist (using a slightly broadened query). If it reports 1 result, none exist in the DataTable that loads
the result data from the ResultTable.

The variable "qry" is a valid SQL Query with the relevant clauses.
I am using a foreach loop to go through "table" (a DataTable), and so I do not think that I have a "one-off error".
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

So in results you have all items but when you are loading it into table (type DataTable) you are loosing one last record.
1) First you check what data you are getting in resultTable - as you are specifying RelevantResult
2) Check last index of data in ResultTable collection and try to find out the last index ResultTable, or try to find last index of data in result table
DataTable.Load method accepts parm of type IDataReader and IDatareader, there are cases it looses records if not read properly..check below links

If user enter show all emps whose policy is expiring in MAY (01.05.2008---31.05.2008) it is displaying EMp 1 as well but emp 1 has a policy which expires in 2009

SSRS report with tabular model – MDX query CoalesceEmpty function does not return the provided string value

Hello everyone,
I created following calculated member in MDX query. I am using it in one of the report parameter in dataset (single select dropdown list as report parameter).
WITH MEMBER [Measures].[ParameterCaption] AS
CoalesceEmpty([Customer].[National Account Code].CURRENTMEMBER.MEMBER_CAPTION,'None')
I would like to display 'None' text at the top of the dropdown list values. So that when user selects 'None' then this parameter will not considered in MDX query else the selected National Account Code will be considered to filter report data. But,
the above return blank/empty value for [Customer].[National Account Code].& member though I specified 'None' as text in CoalesceEmpty function. Any advice would be appreciated.
