Looking for input on this. We are getting these sporadic errors on both CAS. Each time followed by 4999 and 1334 (ASP 2.0).
Everytime the device is an Android OS (different versions). AS Virtual Dir set to Basic Auth, Ignore Client Certs.
Exchange ActiveSync has shut down because an unexpected critical error occurred.

• Error 1106 when watching Starz on line

I received an error 1106 in the middle of watching an online Starz movie. I cannot find any reference to this error. This is after a re-installation of Silverlight. I believe I had error 1001 previous to this error, and the website directed me to uninstall Silverlight, and then re-install it, which I did. Now, I have error 1106. The text for both videos is the same with the exception of the error number: This video cannot be played.Sorry, this video is currently unavailable. (Error 1xxx)Please check back soon. Any help is appreciated.

• IPhone gets event 3005 Activesync error with SBS 2003

I have a Microsoft Windows 2003 Small Business Server that has been communicating with all of my IOS devices for months and now one of the iPhones get an Activesync error when trying to access Exchange mail. I get an event 3005 -
Unexpected Exchange mailbox server error.
Verify that the Exchange Mailbox server is working correctly.
I have other iPhones and iPads that are accessing the server correctly and when I setup the same user on different iPhones they are able to access the accoutn for the user accountthat is having the problem which means the issue is something on the phone.
We took the phone to AT&T and had them reset it. We then setup the Exchange account again and it worked for about a minute and then started the same errors.
Does anyone have any ideas?

• Exchange 2010 - ActiveSync - Error:TooManyClientOperations

Hello,
For last 4 months, our mobile workforce is using ActiveSync access to Exchange 2010 in combination with McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management 12.0 that acts as an (kind of) ActiveSync proxy. Monitoring IIS logs on our Exchange CAS/MBX
server, I’ve noticed that one of our users recently started getting a lot of following errors:
Cmd=Sync&User=domain%5Cuser.name&DeviceId=SEC2FA0AC3DE555E&DeviceType=SAMSUNGSMG900F&Log=V121_LdapC1_RpcC24_RpcL63_Pk3978727234_Error:TooManyClientOperations_As:AllowedG_Mbx:server.domain.com_Throttle0_Budget:(A)Conn%3a0%2cHangingConn%3a0%2cAD%3a%24null%2f%24null%2f0%25%2cCAS%3a%24null%2f%24null%2f3%25%2cAB%3a%24null%2f%24null%2f0%25%2cRPC%3a%24null%2f%24null%2f1%25%2cFC%3a1000%2f0%2cPolicy%3aDefaultThrottlingPolicy%5Fcfff8eee-4334-
Mobile device has all the latest updates installed.
Searching Internet, only relevant article I managed to find is on Microsoft Exchange Japan blog:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchangeteamjp/archive/2014/07/24/3635022.aspx
As I cannot find any other reference on MaxNumberOfClientOperations, I am reluctant to make that change easily. I would also like to know is there any way to monitor what exactly is happening (e.g. I would like to have a way to get more
info on currently active operations that IIS log is reffering to).
Thanks, MiToZ

Hello Martin,
Thanks for answering. I am aware of Exchange Throttling Policy concept, but I am uncertain what is happening with this particular user and I am looking for ways to troubleshoot it further. Using ActiveSync troubleshooting script from Exchange Team Blog
(http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/01/31/a-script-to-troubleshoot-issues-with-exchange-activesync.aspx), I can
see that this user is not anywhere near our top users based on number of ActiveSync commands sent to our Exchange server. Is there any cmdlet, log or any other way that I could use to see currently (or at some point in time) active client
operations?
Thanks, MiToZ

• Can't Sync My iPAQ - Activesync Error support code 85010014

Very frustrating. I just installed the connector, and now ActiveSync 3.5 gives me the error above. It tries to sync and then stops cold. We have Outlook 2003. I have deleted partnerships, profiles, etc., but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

• How to programmatically catch the activeSync errors in identity manager 8.1

Sun Identity Manager 8.1
May I know how can I catch the errors thrown by activeSync during create/update/delete process and even errors before the activeSync process reaches to create/update/delete workflows (like errors when the user account is locked, it does not reach the update workflow) pro-grammatically and throw to notification process such as email.
Your response will be highly appreciated.
Regards

I do this in 7.1 by using a workflow for my active sync processes. I'm sure it will be similar in 8.1. If you use a workflow rather than an input form you can set up a transition at top level of the workflow. This transition is used as an error checker which can move the workflow to an error handler section. The error handler can then do stuff like send out notices etc.
Something like this pseudo code:
<TaskDefintion...>
<Extension...>
<WFProcess...>
<Variable .../>
<Variable .../>
<Transition to="Error Handler">
<!-- your error checking here, notice it is not inside an activity but at the top level of the workflow -->
</Transition>
<Activity ...>
<!-- Actions go here -->
<Transition to="next"/>
</Activity>
<Activity name="Error Handler">
<!-- Do things like send notifications out -->
<Transition to="end"/>
</Activity>
</TaskDefinition>The top level transition (which checks for the error) is called between each activity so it's perfect as an error checker.

Has anyone seen similar errors and knows where I should start solving this problem?
Thanks Reto

I believe I'm having a similar problem. My Exchange calendar seems to just continually be redownloaded. Everytime I open Calendar I briefly see all of my meeting notices then they all disappear and after a minute or so they reappear for maybe 10 seconds and then disappear again. Everytime they disappear and reappear they're highlighted in a different color. When I look at the console log, I see a lot of entries like the following.
Aug 6 13:16:36 unknown dataaccessd[3504] <Warning>: EAS|connection died with error Error Domain=ASHTTPConnectionErrorDomain Code=500 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (ASHTTPConnectionErrorDomain error 500.)" 0x1fa4e400

I saw some other posts that seemed to indicate that it was sync issue with the Exchange server, but I don't see these issues on an Android phone I have nor do I see it on my desktop PCs connecting to this same Exchange account. They're all able to sync my Calendar fine.
I should also mention that this is a new problem for me. I've been using this Exchange calendar for probably 2 years without a problem and then bame a couple months ago this started happening.

• Exchange ActiveSync Error

Hello,
WE have Exchange 2010 running in a DAG and everything has been working fine. We have 2 Sites 2CAS and 2Mbox in each site. For some reason when I try and activate a new device from Site2 I receive and error on the CAS server in Site1 which states;
The Client Access server doesn't have the InternalURL value set for the Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync virtual directory. This prevents Exchange ServiceDiscovery from finding the MobileSyncService information for user SERVERMBOX02.domain.com. At least one Client
Access server in the user's mailbox Active Directory site must have the InternalURL value set. The format for the InternalURL value is https://hostname/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
When I check the ActiveSync settings they are all set. I am only having this issue on adding a user that has a mailbox in Site2, if I try with a user in Site1 I dont have this problem. Does anyone have any suggestion on what might be causing the problem?
Thanks,
Gavin

• Activesync error 0x86000209

I am having a different problem that I haven't seen address anywhere. When I sync my ATT Treo 750wx, I get the following error: "Activesync. A critical error has occurred" Says something about it is recoverable but I may lose some data the next time I sync. It is giving me a Support Code 80070008 on the desktop and 0x86000209 on the Treo.
Post relates to: Treo 700wx (Sprint)

Are you syncing to an exchange server. The error you stated is addressed within common exchange server errors
The error code has to do with the sync key of the folder hierarchy. When you sync a number is exchanged between the device and data end. If you make say 10 changes between 10 different sync's than the device will send 10 back. What is happening is the device is sending back a number that is way off, say 4
The most common cause of this is resetting the device without adequately flushing the flash file system's RAM cache.
To avoid this in the future, press the suspend button before resetting the device. When the device goes into hibernate mode the cache is flushed. (you may want to wait a few seconds after hitting the button to allow the cache to be written).
With the smartphone, always turn off the phone, and never yank the battery. The ram cache is flushed to flash during the power off process.
Try unselecting mail for sync. Then re-enabling it.

• Activesync error

Hi All,
I am activsyncing AD to provision users to IDM.
Resource configuration has object calss=User. Syncronization policy ahs the same object class too.
However, activsync log gives me this error:
'SetInfo(): 0X80072014: , 00002014: UpdErr: DSID-031A0F8E, problem 6002 (OBJ_CLASS_VIOLATION), data 0
, The requested operation did not satisfy one or more constraints associated with the class of the object.
Any ideas?

Activesync is now detecting teh user i created in AD, but not creating the user in IDM. This is the error i get:
<StackTrace>com.waveset.util.WavesetException: User tcreate contains an unresolved reference to Resource Lighthouse.
at com.waveset.object.PersistentObject.resolveObjectReference(PersistentObject.java:3273)
at com.waveset.object.PersistentObject.resolveObjectReferences(PersistentObject.java:3235)
at com.waveset.view.UserViewer.checkPoliciesAndConstraints(UserViewer.java:1484)
at com.waveset.view.UserViewer.checkinView(UserViewer.java:1219)
at com.waveset.object.ViewMaster.checkinView(ViewMaster.java:747)
at com.waveset.sync.IAPIUserImpl.processCommand(IAPIUserImpl.java:545)
at com.waveset.sync.IAPIUserImpl.submitCreate(IAPIUserImpl.java:213)
at com.waveset.sync.IAPIUserImpl.submit(IAPIUserImpl.java:768)
at com.waveset.adapter.ADSIResourceAdapter.processUpdates(ADSIResourceAdapter.java:1452)
at com.waveset.adapter.ADSIResourceAdapter.getAndProcessChanges(ADSIResourceAdapter.java:1490)
at com.waveset.adapter.ADSIResourceAdapter.poll(ADSIResourceAdapter.java:1592)
at com.waveset.task.SARunner.doRealWork(SARunner.java:307)
at com.waveset.task.Executor.execute(Executor.java:154)
at com.waveset.task.TaskThread.run(TaskThread.java:132)
</StackTrace>

• Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Error Message using VersaMail

Device: Treo755p (Sprint), Palm Software
Platform: Windows 2000, Outlook 2003
When I go to my work e-mail account using VersaMail, the following message appears:
IT Policy Update. Your IT administrator has updated the password policy that applies to your phone. Press OK to go to the Security application now. You won't be able to sync with Exchange until you change your password.
When I click "OK," another message appears:
IT Policy Update. Your administrator requires a password with at least 152 characters.
When I click "OK,", it takes me to the Security settings on my phone. I've never set up a password on my phone before, so I don't know why this is happening. I already checked with the IT guy and they haven't changed anything on the server.
I tried a soft reset and nothing happened. I also tried to setting it up again as a new e-mail account, but Exchange ActiveSync isn't even an option when trying to pick the Mail Service. So something is screwy with the phone/software.
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)

Hello, I'm getting the same thing here, except I think I'm getting a better deal than some of you. It's only asking me for a 118-character password.

• Perflib and MSExchange Common Error on Exchange 2013

Hello,
I am getting two error messages (in attachment) again and again on two newly installed Exchange 2013 SP1 servers with combined Exchange roles. I found a lot but could not find and solution. Please guide how to resolve the issue;
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

Hi,
For the first error, please try the following steps to check this issue.
1. Write down the name that is mentioned as [module] in your Event ID 1023 message.
2. Click Start, click Run and type Regedit [enter] (If you do not have a run option just hit the Windows key + R)
3. In the Registry browse to the key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ServiceName\Performance
Where ServiceName references to the [module] name you wrote down in step 1.
4. Under the Performance branch check the entry that says “Library”.
5. Check if the file exits in the folder that is referenced in the registry Library entry.
6. Search the computer for that filename to see if it exists on other locations.
7. Compare file size and versions of the files that are found. If the DLL from step 5 is older/lower version then the ones in other folders you might want to rename this DLL and copy a newer one to the folder.
If you are unable to find the DLL anywhere else on the computer check the original media (CD/DVD) you installed the product from to see if the DLL exist on there. Copy or extract it to the folder where the Perflib expects it.
Then start a Command prompt and type:
REGSVR32 [path][file.dll] – where path and file.dll refer to the complete path and filename of the file you just copied.
And refer to this document

• ActiveSync error code 85010014 HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what I have:
Treo 700w (Verizon)
Outlook 2007
ActiveSync 4.5
USB Connection
Mcafee Protection
Here is what I have done:
Setup and resetup Profiles on the phone for activesync to connect to.
Started with ActiveSync 4.2 and then have updated to 4.5
Checked the WCESlog files along with some other files that some websites told me to check.
Turned off the Mcafee software.
Unistalled Outlook 2007 and activesync and then reinstalled them both in all sorts of different orders.
I have done all this stuff in numerous different ways and times and still I cannot sync contacts, calendar, etc. I can explore the phone and my Pocket Quicken does update everytime with no problems. What is going on with all this? It is driving me nuts.
