MSI 760gm-p33 CPU voltage problem

I have AMD phenom II x2 555 processor. And my problem is that the CPU voltage set as auto in the motherboard bios but it's set as 1.44
and the recommended voltages to my CPU according to AMD is between (0.875-1.40V). That's mean that the maximum voltage for my CPU is 1.40 but it is
set as 1.44 by the motherboard and this could damage my CPU.
I need A solution Please.
Sorry for bad English

You changed processor recently?
What is telling you about the voltage? And, why did you wonder about the voltage?
What RAM memory have you got?
Clear CMOS. Pull power-cable out first.
Thanks for replying fredrik.
I didn't change the anything.
I used CPU-Z to know the voltage & I wonder about the voltage because it's high for my CPU.
I have kingston 2*2G DDR3/1333 1.5v

Hello guys, I am new to overclocking and i think i have encountered a problem.
Whenever i try to increase my CPU voltage over 1.37 volts in B2 bios my PC freezes and cant boot up. The GPU fan ramps up for a moment and it sends a signal to the monitor but as soon as the monitor turns on there is no signal and it turns off. This keeps on going over and over until I clear CMOS.

I don't know if its a problem with the motherboard or the CPU but the reason i post this in MSI forums is because once unboxing the motherboard I've noticed that there were some scratches on the CPU socket. I don't really remember what it was but i thought it nothing serious.
    Sorry for my bad english...

This is a known v1.4 BIOS Bug.  It was fixed in BIOS v1.5b1 and in all BETA Releases that followed.  If you don't want to flash a BETA Release, you need to wait for the Release of the official/final v1.5 version.

same problem with the Neo2 FR (like mine). After quite of bit of researching and testing i reckon that software can not correctly read the vRAM on these MSI boards. I found that Speedfan, Everest, and HardwareMonitor all gave an incorrect reading for my RAM's voltage. Also, if i increased the cpu voltage in the BIOS then the voltage monitoring programs would show an increase in CPU voltage and RAM voltage (even though i had not changed the latter).

  • CPU Voltage problem...anyone??

hey all, i'm not sure if i have a voltage problem here.  should my cpu voltage be at 1.5?  it currently runs at 1.35 by default.  This is in my Neo4 Platinum board.
    Update:
I went to increased the voltage to 1.4 via CPU VID (in bios) however, CPU-Z is showing my voltage as 1.3 which is lower than before.  is this correct?  Also, watching the voltage readout in CPU-Z i'm noticing the flucuation between 1.36 to 1.408 after setting my CPU VID to 1.4 in bios..  is that ok?
    ...anyone?
    -free

Just using CoreCenter my 12v is a steady 12.14, 5v at 5.05, 3.3 at 3.33 but vcore which should be the steadiest runs between 1.37 and 1.42 with jumps or drops of up to .04. Prior to wed it never made it past 1.39 so maybe it will even itself out at 1.4  +- .02. My other MSI board a KT6V with a 2500 Barton runs a steady 1.63 with a cheaper PSU and a slight oc and the combined price of the 3 is around what I paid for the neo4 board. Maybe I'm expecting to much to think that if you pay more for something the quality should be better. @home I have a good Volt meter. It cost me more then my mobo. So don't expect the world out the accuricy
Apple that is like comparing apples and oranges  there is a big difference in a volt meter which has to handle a large range of voltages and amps and a dedicated chip on a motherboard. The CPU is designed so that at 1.4 volt and a given frequency it gives you a signal strength at the transistor that determines a 1 or 0 bit. "undervolt"only increases the chances of bad data if there is a weak transistor and raising the voltage is only needed if the signal strength drops from the increase in frequency.

  • MSI P35 NEO2 FIR voltage problems!!

    Let's start:
     I have MSI P35 NEO2 FIR ,e5200,2 x Geil ultra plus 1066+,as us 2900CT,lcpower 6550g and...rest- not so important for my questions.
1.My problem is next: default voltage values for my RAM is ~2.2-2.4 every time I check in windows (speedfun, sisoft Sandra, everest..)shows me 2.0 or some time even 1.8v  . When i change voltage in bios and went to win voltage on RAM is still unchanged (2.0v)  .
Same thing happen with NB voltage. But CPU voltage I can change freely with no problem.
When I change fsb(try to overclock) suddenly memory voltage rises how i do not now  , but only to 2.35 and no more.
Can anyone help me fix this problem because my memory is not stable at 2.0 or 1.8 sometimes and system crashes?
2.When i change cpu settings from 12.5*200 to (example)10*300 in windows even in system properties see that my current clock is 12.5*300=3750 and not 10*300=3000 like it should be .
    Is it bios problem?
    My bios version is 1.9.
    Thanks!

  • MSI 970 GAMING CPU Voltage

    Hello all.
I have a problem with  my CPU voltage and OC'ing.
First little backround, I did have Gigabyte GA-ma770-UD3 (rev2.1) before i upgraded to MSI 970 Gaming. I was able to OC The 1600T CPU to 4000MHz with 1.55V and it was prime95 stable 24h, but i kept CPU clock at 3800MHz 1.45V prime95 stable 24h as i didnt want to kill my CPU beacause of high voltage, oh and was using 4x1gb DDR2 900MHz.
Sooo. Now i've been playing with this new mobo, and im little confused. My CPU VCORE is 1.392V, voltage setting set AUTO on BIOS, my previous build with gigabyte mobo had this set to 1.350V on AUTO in BIOS.
Could the "wrong voltage" value be because of my prosessor is "AMD Processor Model Unknown" in CPU-Z and BIOS says the same.
Also the whole overclocking is not fun anymore, seems that i cant achieve any higher STABLE OC than 3700MHz and that takes too much voltage, around 1.5V.
I really feel that there is something wrong with the mobo or the bios, as i have tried OC'ing with my old motherboard and i can OC my CPU well better than with my current MSI 970 Gaming. And i think this mobo should do better or atleast equal to my old mobo.

you have to make sure that your CPU could be properly recognize in the bios first

The self contained water cooling solutions are no better than a high end air cooler. I have the H70 and used that on my 2600K. The results were never spectacular and I must have changed the paste more than 4 times, tried different fans  etc,. Then I installed a Noctua Air Cooler and found that the temps are slightly lower than with the H70, but the noise was so much less. Those 140mm fans on the air cooler are much quieter than the wind noise created by forcing air through those tightly packed radiator fins. Just some food for thought.
There are some excellent air coolers that cost a lot less than the water cooled solutions and perform as well; the Zalman that Henry mentioned and that HU16E uses, is one of the better options out there.
Here is a nice site that does extensive cooler testing. http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

  • A55m-p33 cpu voltage

Why? incorrect cpu a6-3500 voltage in the BIOS (1,7ver). Current cpu core voltage 1,408v, but should be 1,2v.
This bios suported my cpu&ram, but there is no one function to correct cpu voltage. Please help me.. What can i do?
P.S. sorry if i mistake, i speak English so little as yet.

Only solution to that is to determine if you even need the case fan. If you do, then perhaps you can parallel the case fan with the CPU fan if its PWM, else, look at an aftermarket fan controller.

  • MSI H81M-P33 Cpu Fan Speed Problem! Urgent

Hi. Bought a H81M-P33 board and got a problem.
I can´t increase my CPU fan Speed to maxium RPM . Tried to use Command Center and Board Bios without any sucess.
This leads to my cpu (i5 4670) getting hot with stock cooler. When I´m encoding a video it reaches 85º. The best solution I had was to connect CPU Fan to Chassis Fan slot on the motherboard and it increased speed, but still it doesn´t increase past a certain value.
What can I do to solve this problem? Tried everything without any luck. The board doesn´t handle CPU fan speed + temperatura increase well. Is not normal to have a CPU stock volts getting hot.
    Thanks

I know that for sure XFM. The thing is that the board isn´t increasing CPU fan speed as it should. Ofc a better cooler would do the job, but even with stock cooler it can be cooler. The problem is that the fan is always in slow mode :|

  • MSI Z77A - G45 - CPU multiplier problem

    Hi,
    I recently bought this PC:
    Intel Core i5 3570 k
    MSI Z77A - G45 - with BIOS V 2.5
    Seasonic S12II-620 620W
    Corsair Vengeance Low Profile White 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600
    Amd HD 7850
    My problem is following:
If I change CPU Ratio (multiplier), in standart mode to 40x and leave CPU core voltage auto, it cause instability, even if use Cpu core voltage 1.25 V for ratio 40x.
But that's not all problem. I could understand, why I cant OC my CPU, but this instability is even if I change multiplier to 30x from default 34x and this makes me uncertain.
Now I will describe you that instability...
OK so, when I change ratio to 40x or 30x it doesn't matter, it runs to windows successfully but after using windows something about 3-6 hours pc turns off.
I also  discovered second problem by coincidence. If I hit F11 (Boot menu) , when I am starting pc and I have set ratio 40x or 30x, I can choose what I want to boot only for 10 secs and after that PC restarts by itself....
But if I set default 34x ratio I can choose what I want to boot forever and pc doesnt restart.
I know that boot menu is not some test of stability but it is very strange... Why If I change multiplier, it doesnt matter, if it is higher or lower then default settings it just cause instability ? :-/
    Thanks for help.

I was just saying that the beta caused a vga problem, latest release the f11 problem so try the release prior to that, but if you got it working don't touch it! lol
Are you still using the beta bios?
No clue, we are just users like you are, just keep checking the website. You should report the troubles you had with 2.4 to msi too.>>How to contact MSI.<<
Yeah iťs working now. As I said, I wanted flash older Bios 2.4, so for sure I click on restore defualts in bios (for sure before flashing) in that 2.64 Bios version...
PC restarts and my graphic card started working =)...
So now I am running on that the latest Bios as you refered mi (2.64 beta).
I am running some test of stability on @ 4 GHz with 1.070 V (IBT,Prime, memmaxx, linx, cinebench, occt, super pi, 3d mark) temps are 62 C max...
    So I guess it's ok now =)
At the end I have one question :
My Cpu is now running on 40 x ratio all the time, there is no some underoverlocking ratio (16x etc.) when it's in idle. I was thinking the Ivy Bridge overclocking is overclocking of turbo only...
I know It's detail, because I have good temps even in idle with 40x ration (33-39 C) but i want to be assured if it is ok.
    EDIT:
And btw I didnť have 2.4 bios flash on, I wanted put them on... But before flashing my 2.64 beta started working right with HD 7850 as is wrote upper.
    I had Bios 2.5 before 2.64
