MSI A55M - E33 no OFFSET!?

Hello!
I just bought an MSI A55-E33 motherboard, motherboard old was nowhere to be offset in the tall'm using! In a A4 6300 processor in it. Until now it was flawless at 1.1 V, but just give him a 1.3 V, so you better warm up and eat more.
There may be a bios for this board that supports the OFFSET??

This is very hard to understand what is most likely caused due to the usage of an online translator. I suppose you are asking if there is an overvoltage offset option for this board. Answer is no. Where no offset is included out of the box it is impossible to add with a simple update.

first suspect is the BIOS on the board! for that CPU it needs at least Version B1 (11.1) for a Richland CPU to be supported...
if you do not know what BIOS version your board has tell us the Serial Number of the board so we can tell you if thats the issue or not? (that is on the UPC label on the box it came in or on a sticker on the rear of the motherboard!)

  • AMD x4 860K and MSI A55M-E33

    Hey guys
So I'm building a cheap gaming PC for my daughter for Christmas I ordered a A55M-E33 and a AMD x4 860k after using pcpartpicker (along with 8gb of ram and a 750 TI).
Everything arrived today but when I power it up I'm only getting fans, no beeps no display etc
I'm guessing I've got the wrong BIOS revision but I'm a bit unwilling to buy another processor just so I can reflash the BIOS.  Does anyone have experience of this chip working in this board or any suggestions how I can reflash the board.
    Thanks
    Si

  • MSI A55M-E33 problems with USB Hub

When I boot with my USB Hub plugged in the screen will stay black and I get a 9C, 99, 92 or A2 error. Often after a few seconds this will disappear but sometimes it will just hang on 9C forever. Without the USB Hub plugged in it will boot straight into windows with no errors, but the internal buzzer will give one long beep and two short beeps.
I used MSI live update 6 to upgrade my BIOS from W10 to W50. Inside the BIOS screen it is given as E7721AMS v32.5.
The boot mode is Legacy + UEFI, and the boot order is:
Boot 1: SSD (win 8.1 64 bit on here)
    2: DVD
    3: UEFI Hard Disk
    4: UEFI USB CD
    5: UEFI USB key
    etc
My 2nd hard drive isn't listed as an option, though in another section of the BIOS (can't recall which) it is listed as being in a SATA port.
USB devices are a wifi dongle, wireless keyboard & mouse receiver, and a D-Link DUB-H7 7 port usb hub (with 2 external hard drives attached).
Any ideas what I can do? Would a different usb hub solve the problem?

So I phoned a local computer repair shop, and he said it sounded like a faulty USB hub. He advised me to buy a PCI-E usb card and plug the devices directly into that. I was confident he wasn't trying to just sell me anything, as he didn't have these cards in stock and suggested buying one online.
So I bought one of those cards and plugged the external HDD's directly into that. It has solved the problem with hanging on 9C (the beeping problem seems to have just disappeared by itself). Now I just momentarily get a 99 and A2 error then it boots directly into windows 8. Unfortunately the external drives won't appear for about 30 seconds, and also I can't use my wireless keyboard or mouse for the same amount of time.
I'm fairly sure its not the fault of the drives. Today I've plugged them into two windows 7 laptops and booted those and the drives show up immediately. Same with the USB hub.
Does it sound like a faulty motherboard? Or something not set correctly in the BIOS?

  • Msi fm2 a55m e33 build problem

Recently I helped a friend build a rig.
    The setup as follows:
Case: cooler master elite 344 with usb 3.0
    Mobo: msi fm2 a55m e33 / amd a6 6400k richland processor
Os: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
The problem after I built finish, my friend complained of no sound.
I got her to download and install the latest system and chipset drivers but didn't help.
Got her to download and install the latest sound drivers from the msi driver page but still didn't help.
So I told her to check the case and she told me that there is a small black speaker that I didn't connect to the board. So I told her to connect it to jfp2 according to user manual. Still didn't work. I suppose that speaker is meant for the beep.
As far as I know about the audio aspect of the cm case, it has a hd audio and an ac 97 plug connected together into one single plug. Tried both on jaud1 but still failed.
Not exactly sure where the fault came from.

Hi, I'm using A55M-E33 mobo with HD6670, I recently bought R9 270x, Before I bought it I checked diligently if it was compatible with the motherboard mentioned in the title, and it was listed as compatible. The gpu does indeed seat perfectly on the PCI-E slot but ONLY if I have the sata 1 and sata 2 cables disconnected from the motherboard. Is there any way to connect SATA cables ? I'm feeling unlucky  Help me

you mean the card doesn't physically fit?
    and interfere with sata ports/cables?
if so you can try to install angled sata cables instead, like those:

  • Bug in latest 2 bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33

    Hey guys,
Today I tried to update my bios of my FM2-A55M-E33 to the latest version(7721vA4.zip). Once everything completed succesfully, the bios wouldn't boot anymore.
I plugged out my 3TB hdd and it worked fine. I installed an earlier version of the bios(7721vA0.zip) and this did work with my 3TB hdd.
    So in short:
The latest bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33 will freeze(black screen) at bios start when a 2TB+ hdd drive is plugged in.
    Namely:
    FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.3 BIOS Release
    FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.4 BIOS Release
I hope you can fix this asap, especially since these are the latest updates.
    Regards,
    Henkie de Grote

  • FM2-A55M-E33 and Dual Graphics

I purchased a MSI FM2-A55m-E33 Mainboard, AMD APU (A8-5600K), 8 GB Kingston HyperX Memory and a MSI Radeon 6670 viseo vard to do a CrossfireX budget gaming rig.
I have 2 Problems, the memory can not be set over 1333 MHz, if I set it to 1600 in the bios after about 10 minutes of playing wow, the game closes, if I set it back to default (1333) it runs fine.
2nd problem, when I first set up the PC, and started to set up the bios after 20 seconds the PC would restart. I had the video card plugged into the 6670 card, not onboard, this happened 2 or 3 times so I decided to plug it into the vga on the mainboard, no more resets...so I thought...hmmmmm.
Anyway, set up the bios, logged into Windows, downloaded the drivers, set it all up for dual graphics, restarted the pc. Plugged the monitor in the 6670 (as recommended by amd) and no video, pc boots and goes into windows, but I have no video, so I plugged the monitor into the onboard video and viola, it works.
So, next I turn off dual graphics in the Catylist software, reboot pc to just use the 6670 until I get this figured out, plug the monitor into the video card, guess what...no video again. I can only get video from the mainboard, never from the 6670 video card.
I have been tinkering with this all weekend to no avail, its driving me nuts.
    My setup:
    MSI FM2-A55M-E33 Mainboard
    AMD APU A8-5600K (Unlocked)
    8 GB Kingston HyperX 1600 Mhz DDR3
    MSI R6670 Video Card
    Thermaltake TR2 600 watt PSU, 2X 12V Rails
    Seagate Barracuda 640 GB HD
    Lite-On DVD R/W
P.S, I laready updated the bios to ver 10.1, it didnt fix anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you got the wrong card for "duel graphics".
I'm sure it can't be higher than a 6570 model with a A8-5600 and that's why it isn't working as it should!!
You can now only use the 6670 once you set i in the bios or simply try to exchange it for a 6570.
Yup, what you have integrated graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7560D, recommended what you need for dual graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6570
    http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/dual-graphics/Pages/dual-graphics.aspx#3
Although that RAM is primarily meant for Intel Sandy Bridge system with 1600 XMP profile it's possible it may be OK for your system but you would have been better off getting RAM for AMD system instead. When trying for 1600 did you bump up voltage from 1.5V to a bit more  like maybe 1.55 to see if it would run stable?
Research for proper component compatibility goes a long way to eliminate problems such as what you are having.

  • MOVED: A55M-E33 Super Charge Not working.

This topic has been moved to MSI AMD boards.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=254654.0

    Hi,
    Specification say:
    Quote
    Super Charger
Mobile consumer appliances are getting more and more attention in current day fast moving life style, with smart phones and tablets almost becoming a fashion accessory. However, many ordinary personal computers cannot charge some of these devices, making it difficult to stay connected. The MSI Super Charger is a Windows resident program capable of revising the power supply mode of your USB port to become more powerful. Once your phone or tablet is connected to your USB port, the Super Charger sends a signal to initiate its charging circuit, making it a really smart and convenient charging solution for mobile computing needs.
Note: Only front red USB ports support charger function after system off
    Source: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/FM2-A55M-E33.html#hero-overview
I might be blind, but I don't see any red USB header on the motherboard  I suggest you ask MSI, as for me it sounds as a mistake on the specification on the website.
Can you check your motherboard box if it says anything about it?
Apparently you should use red USB header, however: plug your case USB 2.0 header to motherboard's header and turn your PC off (just through Windows without switching power supply off) and plug your phone (USB) to case's USB that is connected to motherboard header. If it doesn't work, try the second USB 2.0 header on motherboard. Also make sure you have Utility "Super Charger" installed, available here: http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/SuperCharger_mb.zip

  • FM2 A55M E33 upgrade concerns.. :)

Hi just a few questions before i buy anything..
At the moment what I have is:
    MSI FM2 A55M E33, AMD A8 - 5600K, 2 X 2GB 1333 RAM, Deepcool GAMMAX200 Heatsink, 500GB HDD, Generic 600w PSU, Cheap Case.
Now, I'm planning to upgrade the Video Card and RAM this week, and I don't know what to get.. But i think from what I plan I may need a new PSU and CASE.. (Will get Thermaltake Commander MS1 - this one, i think im sure)
My budget is below $300 (VGA, RAM, CASE, PSU).
The guy from the store told me that I would have a problem running 1600 RAMs on my FM2.. I didn't bother to ask him so I'm asking here..
Would a Powercolor HD 7790 work on my unit?
Im sure i would need to upgrade my PSU but how many watts should i get?
    Thanks!

So something liker (Kingston HyperX Memory 2 x 4gb Ddr3-1600 Cl9) should work?
    Yes
Quote from: thinkx on 14-September-13, 06:26:25
Would this PSU -- Seasonic S12ii-520 Power Supply 520watts S-Series -- be enough?
Yes but I would suggest you attempt to get a unit like that but around 600W as it will give you some headroom as that one is good on both but is close on the minimum wattage so may be a little unstable over time as it ages!

I've checked that SVM mode is Enable in CPU features.
I've tried to turn SVM off, shutdown with cable, turn on, shutdown with cable, tried to reflash BIOS, reset BIOS with jumper - EVERYTHING FAIL!

    Hello. Issues here.
Running this mobo with amd A4 - 5300, 1 stick gskill ram, OZ SSD.
I can load windows fine, but after installation it "hangs" on the "windows is preparing user environment for first time use"  the progress indicated shows the PC is not frozen, but it never makes it past this part.
I have been told that step is were windows sets up the drivers, so wondering if it might be a driver issue.
Also this mobo BIOS version is from 5/1/13, there are two never versions. should i try to flash the BIOS? I am not sure how though, the only file MSI hosts is an executable for the BIOS which is only useful if you can actually get into a windows desktop environment. where can i get the actually BIOS file to be used in the M-FLASHER utility within the BIOS?
any help is appreciated, i have sunk 6+ solid hours into this already.

I don't get any errors, or BSOD. It just will not make it past the "windows is preparing user enviroment for first time use"
I can run DOS enviorments, but i cannot get into the device manager from either windows recovery disc OR when it "hangs" at the above mentioned spot. It is frustrating.
    I have tried the following.
Installing a video card from another computer because i have heard a video driver issue might cause it to hang.
I have swapped out power supplys with another known working PSU.
I have dissabled all unnessisary BIOS features ex. the LAN adapter, power saver modes...
I have reinstalled windows from a freshly formated drive multiple times.
I have attempted to access the device manager from the command promt in windows repair disc with no success. It seems to only try run the devmgmt off of the X drive (system reserve partition) and not the D: drive (primary partiion with windows 7 instal)

  • FM2-A55M-E33 won't boot if LAN cable fitted, black screen with 99 in rh corner

Just bought a new Zoostorm 7872-1212/A computer, which has the MSI FM2-A55M-E33 motherboard.
I installed and registered Windows 7, and download all updates etc without any problems last night.
Started it up this morning, and it didn't post.
All I had was a black screen, with 99 in the bottom right corner.
Switched off, then tried again, still no joy.
Removed all cables, re-fitted just mouse, keyboard and monitor, and it started.
Powered of and refitted LAN cable.
Powered on - black screen and 99.
Powered off, bought new LAN cable, fitted it into another port on my router, powered up, black screen and 99.
Thinking it's a BIOS setting, opened BIOS
Set Sata drive as 1st drive, DVD as 2nd and disabled all other drives
Set wake up events to BIOS, RTC disabled, all other events on
    Saved and powered of
Started up, and still back screen and 99
    Anybody got thoughts?

  • FM2-A55M-E33 upgrade bios with richland

Is there any way to upgrade the BIOS on my FM2-A55M-E33 with A4-4000 APU?  I don't want to have to buy a Trinity just to upgrade to the latest BIOS with Win 8.1.

There is no reason for rma if nobody guaranteed you that your specific sample will work with Richland out of the box. That the board is able to run Richland cpus of course does not mean it will with any bios version. Vendors have boards in stock. They don't open any box so any board in stock is updated to the latest version. It is common sense a board manufactured before Richland support may not include a Richland supporting bios.
    paynej1,
some FM2 boards will not completely work but post with Richland and allow to enter bios. Only those can be updated without a Trinity cpu. For all others you need a supported cpu or having the board flashed by a pc-shop or MSI.
