MSI AE2410 series tv tuner

I Have bought an MSI Wind Top AE2410 all-in-one pc. It does have a tv antenna connection in the back, but Windows Media Center did not detect any tuner. Does anyone have any idea how to set up the tuner? Any help is extremely appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. The local dealer from whom I bought this MSI pc in Iran said that it included a tv tuner. However, your reply makes me doubt if the dealer had enough technical information. Could you please tell me how I can verify if this pc has indeed got a built-in tv tuner? If the existence of the tv connector in the back of the pc does not indicate that it has a tv tuner, then what is the connector for?

MSI GE Series GE60 Apache-469

Hello everyone. Hope someone can provide an image for this product. I'm quite interested in the product but newegg doesn't seem to have an image for it. Does anyone know what this laptop looks like?

VBios Medion Erazer x7821x equal to MSI GT70 Series

Hi,
I watches this Forum for some time and i hope someone (eventually "Svet") can help me.
I have a Medion Erazer x7821 with GForce Gtx 670mx. This Notebook should base on the MSI GT70 Series.
My big Problem is the locked vBios of the GTX 670mx. With the original vBios its impossible to overclock the Card. MSI Afterburner shows no usable results and NVidia Inspector let me adjust the clock but every time i try to accept the changes the controls jumps back to normal (if i try to underclock the card with NVidia Inspector the changes are accepted). So i think the overclocking is completely blocked by the vbios.
I saved the vBios and try to edit it with "Kepler BIOS Tweaker v.1.25". On opening the saved ROM i become an Error and the programm closed (tried on Win8 and Win7) so i have no chance to see the real content of the File.
I got the 1,5GB Model GTX 670mx actual BIOS Version:
Version:80.04.5B.00.A5 ID:10DE:11A1:1462:10D9
GK104 Board - 2051b003 (Normal Board)

MSI Mega series girder plugin version 2.0 available

I'm proud to release the first version of my MSI Mega series plugin for girder 3.2. Thank for all the reported bugs :-). I implemented a new feature to set the time resolution of the remote control. People with the new firmware will enjoy the gained flexibility. Current version is 1.0.0.70.

Which hardware is supported?
MSI MEGA series front IR controller. It has been tested with MSI MEGA 180/865/651.
What software do I have to install to use the plugin?
Girder version 3.2. Buy it at http://www.girder.nl ~20$
DLLs: MSIDrvIF.dll, ForMpc.dll. They come with MSI MediaCenter III Deluxe. Search for it.
How do I install it?
Copy "MSIGirderPlugin.dll" from the "bin" directory into your girder plugin folder.
Copy "MSIDrvIF.dll", "ForMpc.dll" from your MSI Media Center III directory into the girder folder.
What does it cost?
Of course nothing.

Sure.
You have to install MSI Media Center because it installs the driver for the plugin. The required DLLs are not sufficient because ForMpc.dll need mpcsys.sys and assosciated files. I couldn't figure out all the dependencies but with the installation you got all you need.
1.) Now you can launch setup.exe and it should install everything automatically.
If that don't work: Copy MsiDrvIF.dll and ForMpc.dll form your Media Center installation into the girder directory (normally C:\Program Files\girder) and MSIGirderPlugin.dll from my release into the girder plugin directory (C:\Program Files\girder\plugins). That's the system part.
2.) Now launch Girder and open settings. In the plugins tab search for the "MSI Mega series" entry in the list. If it's not listed you did something wrong into step 1. If it is listed check the checkbox left of the plugin. Then also check "Auto Enable Input device". Restart girder.
Create a new command (CTRL+ALT+A) click on it and on the right side of the window select the Plugins tab and click there on MSI mega series. Then click on Settings. As Time resolution enter 250 (a quarter second - depends on firmware of Bluebird VL+). As model select your model. Press on OK.
Restart girder - your settings will apply.
3.) Now when girder is opened again you can press the remote and check if the LED on the right side of the status bar changes color. If that is so everything is ok. If not: Check all steps again.
4.) If you want to launch my sample configuration: Go to girder website and download the Popup OSD plugin by Mark Fiechtner and install it as written in the readme file of Popup OSD. Launch girder and go to the plugins tab in the settings. Check AlarmTimer and Popup OSD there. The sample file should work now. Unfortunatly you have to rerecord some of the makros because the version of winamp or PowerDVD are perhaps not the same as in my computer.
For this stuff please post in girder forum. I don't support the sample file.

MSI GX Series - Disable Enduro with Unlocked BIOS

Accu van MSI Gaming Series GP70 2PE-022NL stuk

Ik heb deze laptop nu sinds eind juni.
Van het begin af aan was de accu snel leeg, Maar nu is de accu helemaal leeg en wil ook niet meer opladen. Win8 geeft aan dat die 100% vol is, maar als ik de netvoeding er uit haal, gaat de laptop gelijk uit.
Ik heb de battery calibration ook al geprobeerd, maar dan gaat de laptop ook gelijk uit. Terwijl ik wel de netvoeding aan gesloten heb.
Ik heb inmiddels begrepen dat ik de laptop terug kan sturen en dat die dan binnen 2-3 weken weer terug komt.
Dit is geen optie voor mij, omdat ik deze laptop zakelijk gebruik en zonder laptop kan ik niet werken.
Weet iemand nog een suggestie of een webshop waar ik een nieuwe accu kan kopen?

Je kunt als het goed is via Register.msi.com gewoon een nieuwe accu aanvragen onder garantie. Eventueel kun je ook even contact opnemen met MSI zelf, op het volgende telefoon nummer en of email adres. Tevens zijn deze accu's ook bijna overal te koop, gewoon even googlen met de serie nummer van de accu zelf

Troubleshooting problems with hardware and MSIPVS

Well, I got MSIVPS3 to recognize my tv box but I can't seem to get a lock down on any channels. All i get is snow from every channel. No audio either. Everything works peachy on my desktop running win2k but my laptop is where I need the video input from a camcorder. Grrrr. I think I wasted my money buying this P.o.S.

MSI GX 623 TV tuner

Hi,
I noticed that MSI GX 623 laptop has a tv antena slot in back. I heard that some models of laptop has build in tuner, some not - but all models slot for antena has.
So I have question, how to know, is it model has tv tuner, or is just empty slot without tuner

Like Bas states, the white label will tell you if the notebook has a tuner. The TV tuner is an optional item and the connector is on the notebook whether it has the tuner or not.

Watch Dogs Benchmarks on MSI G Series Laptops

Think I might've posted twice, but anyhoo. Here is a quick video of the game, it's features and benchmarks on the MSI GX, GS, GT, GE and GS Series products.

LOL. I don't know about "melting", but my demo GE60 with GTX 850M did get pretty hot at the time when I did the video. Same thing with most of the laptops I tested as well as my own personal computer, but that's because it's both CPU and GPU intensive.
(Added: I played Watch_Dogs on our demo GE60. After 20 minutes of gameplay, temps for GPU were 85-90 degrees Celsius and CPU was 70-75 degrees Celsius. So....yeah.....temps are the usual)

MSI model series confusion.

At last, I find a forum that has the information I wanted before buying an MSI laptop! One Question though. What do the letters after the model represent, ie 2PC,2PE ect etc? Im looking at buying a mid range gaming laptop, in the GE series, however the letters above do create confusion on my part!?

The difference between 2PC and 2PE is about the detail of the spec. E series have slightly better storage volume or graphic performance on the same level. Regarding 2Qx series, Q seems represeting those NVIDIA 9xx series of graphics cards, and P seems representing 8xx.
You just need to make sure which model you want first. GT, GE, GP or GS?
Once selected, then check the detail of each subnames, 2PC or 2PE, to see the detail of the spect and decide which one matches your requirement.

GE60 or GE70?
0Nx, 2Ox, or 2Px series?
Currently Nahimic is only for newer models such as GE62 or GE72. It requires a specific version of Realtek audio drivers.

MSI Radeon series

Has anyone tried the new Radeon series from MSI...
Since I'm buying the new card cos my FX5600 is too weak I thought 9800 Pro would be a great boost to my system...
And I won't buy anything but MSI cos it gives me satisfaction to know that MSI mobo and MSI Graphic card are ticking inside my case...
If this 9800 Pro is not good I will just buy FX5900XT
What would be your choice??? FX5900XT or Radeon 9800Pro?

The 9800 Pro is much stronger, specially in applications that make use of shaders (true DX9 games like far cry).
It's probably the best band for the buck right now at around 220$.
