MSI DKA790GX PLATINIUM + 6870 cf second adaptor is disabled and code error:10

i got two 6870 on msi dka 790gx P.
after formatted, i noticed second vga doesn't work in the device manager, says " device can not start, code :10"
i installed driver, both cards installed driver. i activated cf, but second vga is disabled.
is there any bios to fix cf on this board?
cpu: phenom II x6 1055T
4gb ddr2 1066
win7 x64.

i have this mobo with phenom II x6 cpu.
psu 650watt real
xigmatek hdt 1284 cooler.
i set bios as 250x14 everything is auto. it is ok. works stable.
but when i set fsb to 260 cpu vdd to 1.35 ht and nb to 1.35 , cpu goes to 100 degrees and pc turn off
is it overheat?
when i set cpu, ht, nb volts mobo and cpu temperatures goes to high.
i tried all of bioses but no luck. i think there is a hardware problem.

You had better check the mounting of the CPU cooler then. there is not much other reason for CPU to get that hot. Was there a small sheet of protective plastic film on the base of the cooler that wasn't removed maybe?

i installed core center on win7 x64, i get bsod rushtop64.sys on startup.

Did you see this in the link? Also it's dual-core-center.

i am using jstl and jsp. I have two combos , first combo has 4 items
when clicking the 3rd item and 4 th items second combo should
be disabled( that means he should not select second combo items)
combo items are not hardcoded they are polulating by mapping through hibernate to database. Please help me how to do it by
using javascript or jstl conditions.
can any body help me please...this is urgent

Second Life, Nvidia Drv and LibGLU error

I'm getting an error loading the libGLU library files when loading Second Life. These drivers are included in the mesa package but I was under the impression Nvidia supplied their own GL library so installing Mesa wasn't required? I could install Mesa to resolve the issue but I'd rather avoid it if I'm missing something else.

Try "pacman -S package --force" then reinstall Nvidia if you need to.

MSI MSI DKA790GX Bios update problem

Recently set up a MSI MSI DKA790GX system with a new X4 940. Thing is it appears the bios is 1.2 which seems pretty old at this point. I've been trying to update to the latest bios (1.6 ?) but I can't. Live Update tells me there is a check-sum error. I assume the issue is with the 1.6 bios. I tried using the HQ USB Flashing Tool method and I got the same error. SO I got to assume that something is wrong with the bios file.
Has anyone else tried to update this board with the latest bios? Any luck.
This is annoying as I want to update the bios as I'm several revisions back and I want my new processor to be FULLY recognized.

Don't forget to clear CMOS with main A/C power cable removed from PSU after the flash.

Hello!
You need a lot of components to be able to use AHCI. PSU, processor, memory, etc. etc.
Have a look in BIOS under Integrated Peripherals. If you run XP I suggest you do not change to AHCI.

I am having almost the same issue but if i turn the switch of to power supply then press the power switch on mainboard it will boot
if i try to restart from windows it will not post if i try to turn power on with switch on case (antec 900) lights come on alot of sound but will not post, unless i use switch on motherboard it will not post at first it was random but its getting worse i tried the new bios 1.9 no luck
it works great other than i have to use power switch on motherboard for boot up
temps are normal, i have reseat the cpu, memory power cables nothing ran tests after test it all seems fine but it wont post with windows restart or power switch on tower

Since both problems and fixing has to do with the power supply unit (PSU), I would check power connections. Perhaps try with another PSU, but it sounds like if some devices share the wrong power line. Antec PSUs usually come with a manual, have a look there for good distribution of the cables/connections.
Could also be traces - metal debris - in the motherboard, that creates power "jumping".

MSI DKA790GX Platinum and AM3 CPU - BIOS Update

I am going to upgrade my current computer from an older AMD socket 939 setup to an AMD Phenom II based system
I am thinking of the MSI DKA790GX Platinum motherboard and AMD Phenom II X3 720 (Black edition) CPU (AM2+ Motherboard and AM3 CPU), but I need to clear up the BIOS update for AM3 issue before buying the components.
The motherboard advertisement states that the BIOS has to be upgraded to support AM3 CPU
My issue is this: I do not have an AM2/AM2+ CPU, and I am looking to jump right into buying an AM3 CPU - so will the unit power-up/POST with the combination of the newer AM3 CPU and older BIOS to allow me to update the BIOS using either FDD or Bootable USB Pen in a DOS environment?
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of this? Any help on this would be appreciated

My board defaults to 800mhz as well and I'm running a 720. So now Intel CPU's have the memory controller on the die (just like AMD). So does this prove as an advantageous concept? I expect Intel to implement better memory management than AMD. AMD drops speed when all 4 memory banks are occupied... what is the use of utilizing max RAM capability if memory controller cannot sustain the max RAM speed?
I may agree with you on the concept that motherboard should support the lowest (RAM) denominator...
However if someone uses lower than 1066 MHz sticks, system should detect accordingly, and when 1066 sticks are used, auto-detect as 1066... I still do not see the issue here. On former nVidia based boards like my MSI K9A Platinum SLI (with an AMD X2 CPU), 800 MHz modules are detected as 800 on auto, no need to manually tweak anything in BIOS. I still have to see an nVidia EPP profile enabled board which is claimed to auto detect 1066 MHz capable memory sticks by default.
On my system it is also the same... I have to up the RAM voltage to 2.2V (otherwise system is not stable), as well as setting up the timings and of course the RAM/FSB speed ratio to 1:2.66.
I am running currently 4 chips of OCZ platinum 2 GHZ (for a total of 8 GB RAM, for 64 bit Vista and Linux). Also with mine (as we know Phenom II does not support 4 sticks of 1066 MHz) it drops to 800 MHz. As well as, I needed to bump the voltage to 2.2 V... otherwise in the middle of operation, system reboots. We know what this is about, dont we ?

MSI 865PE Platinium edition board failure?

hello guys,
umm i recently upgraded my pc's powersupply unit and installed a new MSI NX6200 video card in my MSI 865PE Platinium edition board. well when we started the PC there was no signal display on the monitor and i failed to get the my pc started the power was on but nothing on screen, no beeps from the motherboard at all. The D brack on the back of the pc indicated memory failure so we took out the memory nothing no beeps i asked a computer seller guy to check it he said that the chips of the board are not getting hot but are cold so might be the board failure, i really don't know what to do, the warrenty is over as it was 1 year nearly and i don't get it the CPU did not fall or nothing only thing was i usually never cleaned my pc from inside so dust could be the reason or could voltage surge or something could have done some damage anyway my 130 $ board has failed from MSI gurentee tests or whatever . ;-((any suggestions ? guys

midhat, try go through this to find out what's wrong?
is there a buzzer/speaker on the board? If there is no, can you hook up one buzzer on your casing? After that, try this:
1. remove EVERYTHING, except CPU. No RAM, no display, no EVERYTHING ELSE. All OUT!
---> you should hear 3 long beeps. If no, you have pretty much a dead BIOS, or an unsupported CPU, or a dead CPU, or a dead board, or really bad PSU.
2. as (1), but add RAM.
--> you should hear 8 fast long-short beeps. If no, it could be half-defected RAM, bad chipset, bad board, or a bad PSU.
3. as (2), but add Display card,
--> you should see POST screen. If not, then bad display card, bad board or bad PSU.
4. as (3), but hook up the rests, one by one. Try to repeat power on again and see what's wrong.
