MSI G41 P26 4GB 1600?

Hello,
I have MSI G41 P26 board with Intel q6600 processor and 2GB 1600 DDR3 Kingmax RAM memory.
I bought 4GB DDR3 1600 ADATA. It won't run. Kingmax memory runs on 1066 and it's ok.
Is there any chance that ADATA will run?
Tnx

Your 4GB DDR3 1600 ADATA is DoubleSide(DS) ?
G41 do not support 4G SingleSide(SS) memory.

  • MSI Twin frozr 4gb OC Gaming 770 Overclocking?

Is there a way to unlock the voltage on this card? MSI Twin frozr 4gb OC Gaming 770? I clicked unlock voltage in afterburner but it did nothing? Just trying to find if there is a way.

What do you mean by unlocking? For the GTX770 (except for Lightning) 1.2/1.212 V is the absolut limit (without hardware and eventually bios modding). Anthing else is not possible. If you can't apply any overvoltage use the latest bet aAfterburner: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161235.msg1257833#msg1257833

  • MSI GTX 770 4Gb/DDR5 OC GPU usage is 0%

    Hi Guys,
I've noticed that when I'm using the "MSI Game App" for OC my GTX770 to game mode or OC mode,
when benchmarking the card with "MSI Kombustor" I see that the GPU load stays at 0% all the time (using the MSI Afterburner SW).
Only when I'm switching the "MSI game App" to Normal mode, or shutting it down it completely and performing Benchmark tests again, the GPU load is rising up to 97%-99% usage.
Using the MSI Afterburner for monitoring the sensors, shows the same results in all scenarios - I can see the core temperature is climbing, but the GPU load stays at 0% all the time  .
    I'm using:
The latest NVIDIA GTX 770 drivers (331.82 & tried also 331.93),
The latest MSI game app (v1.0.0.13),
The latest MSI Afterburner Version 2.3.1 & Kombustor.
Mother Board: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R (rev 2)
Video Card: MSI GTX 770 4Gb/DDR5 OC
    Power supply: Corsair RM750.
Any clue how to solve this problem will be much appreciated
Moreover - Can someone please tell me what benchmark score is considered as a good score for this HW setup (using the MSI Kombustor)?
Thanks in advance and a Happy new year to everyone,
    SunShy

The issue is no issue. The Gaming APP blocks usage reading to prevent boost 2.0 to throttle at low usage to have a relatively stable oc clockrate (to have best benchmark results). Don't use the Gaming APP and use Afterburner for overclocking and usage monitoring will work fine.

  • Msi gtx 680 4gb waterblocks

what waterblocks can I absolutely fit on my MSI gtx 680 4gb?
looking for an answer from a MSI rep or someone who has personally fit a block on this specific card (yes i'm aware of the ek cooling config site, i'd rather not use EK if possible)

If you are looking for MSI tech answer ask MSI: >>How to contact MSI.<<
None the less this is a custom PCB design and no full cover water block is offered for that.

  • MSI R9 270x 4gb

Hey guys. I have the MSI R9 270x 4gb twin frozr edition. it is an amazing graphics card but lately I have been getting red lines flickering spontaneously across the screen vertically. I only got the GPU 1 week ago and this is happening. It happens in and out of games for about 20 seconds every hour or two.
Any ideas how to resolve this?

    Couple of suggestions:
-Update your BIOS- Use Forum's USB tool and guide to do so.
-Update all the drivers (try up to BETA)-
    -Try older graphics drivers-
-Try the card in different PC (with newer CPU maybe?)
    -Lower RAM speeds-
I've noticed that many people got problems with most "lower" end cards that has 4GB of VRAM (lower end compared to the highest available R9 295x, I mean you can get R9 270x with either 2gb or 4gb right?, and then high end cards  which are at least 4gb)

  • MSI P6N SLI 4gb problem closed??

MSI P6N SLI 4gb LOW Performance problem closed??
    Thanks

There´s a large thread about the 4GB problem, don´t know why you didn´t found it.
And YES the problems are gone.
From bios version 2.13 for sli and version 1.22new for sli platinum everything works well.
There are 4x1GB Crucials in my system and they are running without any problems now.

  • MSI 880gm-e43 ddr3 1600 support

I recently purchased this motherboard (msi 880gm-e43), and Kingston HyperX 4GB KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G ram kit. However while both are supposed to support DDR3 1600MHz, I only get 1333 with the default configuration.
Do I need to change overclocking settings to get these working? If so how can I do that?
(Btw, SPD shows up to 1333 only, while MSI's control panel applications also has another entry for XMP-1600, which I do not exactly know how it differs).

I though I was able to do it. There was a simple option, which allowed 1600MHz with no issues.
But it turns out that mode comes with increasing DRAM timers. Is there a way to increase the clock speed, while keeping the timers fixed?
(I compared Windows Experience Index scores, it performs exactly the same in both those configurations).

  • MSI 770-C45 DDR3 1600 Problems

    Hi people,
Sorry if this is a common problem but did look through the forum but couldnt quite find a problem like mine.
I have followed custom pc computer build for a gaming rig and have had hang ups randomly which allow me to do nothing but switch off system.
To cut a long story short i have tried everything to fix this but now it seems to be running ok as i have changed settings for ram to 9-9-9-24 and timing to 2T.
I have also set the volts up to 1.77 (or nearby) but i am wondering if this is correct thing to do. I am stress testing it now with prime95 and hoping these setting are correct.
    M/B=msi 770-c45
Mem=corsair dominator ddr3 1600 (2 sticks in same colour port which is blue)
    Proc=AMD athlon II 2 pro

If the system is stable, then dont change anything.
An AMD-cpu does NOT support 1600MHz -- that is, the memory controller can handle 1066MHz or so. If you set the memory frequency higher, then you are overclocking the system which may result in freezing or other system problems. By losening timings a bit (9-9-9-24 2T) you solved it. Now, keep on testing. If the lot stays stable, then don't change anything else.
Also, use CPU-Z to see what timings/frequency-combinations your memory can handle.

  • [SOLVED] MSI FTP (K9A 4gb problem. Again)

    Hi,
Hoping someone can help me. I've contacted MSI support and they've advised me to goto their ftp site to download a 1.61 beta bios which is not public yet. Unfortunately the username and password they provided don't seem to work.
I managed to find the bios 1.61 here and here.
Unfortunately this bios did not fix my problem. I've contacted MSI again but they don't reply. Does anyone know of the correct username and password for ftp://ftp.msi.com.tw/? Perhaps there are further beta bios's there which I could try?
    The problem I'm having is:
BIOS 1.3 and 1.61 - Vista x64 boots but crashes regularly with 4gb (4x1gb modules). Sleep does not function, resume data is corrupted or sometimes displays an error in 1.3, a blank screen with 1.61.
BIOS 1.5 - Vista will not boot 4gb (4x1gb modules).
Other BIOS versions - 4gb not detected or won't post or windows won't start.
Memory tests report no RAM errors, removing the modules corrects the issue.
I've read that other people are having similar problems. As a last resort I'll probably take 2gb of my memory out or buy a new motherboard. Thought I'd try here first though.
    Thank you!
    Nick

    Thanks for the advice.
I am going to replace the PSU.
Don't take this the wrong way, but I disagree that this isn't BIOS related. MSI acknowledged in their reply that it was a known BIOS problem, thats why they advised me to try v1.61. Further evidence comes from the fact that some people are also having the same problems with XP. Final evidence, the problem changes significantly with different BIOS versions. WIth earlier versions it actually goes away completely BUT not all my RAM is recognised.
