  • E-GeForceFX 128MB DDR AGP 5200 Ultra

I have a MSI K7N2G motherboard, and I want to add in my GeForceFX5200 Ultra.  When I insert my graphics card in the AGP slot and plug in the monitor cable to it, nothing is shown on the monitor.  The light on the monitor continues to blink.  If I leave the graphics card in there and put the montior cable in the integrated graphics card, it won't detect that even.  When I take out the GeForce of the AGP slot, and use the integrated graphics card it works.  Does anyone know why it is not detecting my GeForce?  Thank you.

    Deceptive advertising!
    Your supply at peak:
    3.3V@28A
    5V@40A
This would lead a person to believe that your supply could SIMULTANEOUSLY provide (3.3x28)+(5x40)= 292 Watts
BUT!! Your supply has a max combined 3.3V and 5V of 220 Watts, as per the company's specifications, located here:
    http://www.apextechusa.com/datasheet/ATX400W.pdf
It also only puts out a max of 380Watts on the combined 3.3,5, AND 12V.
The Antec True430, however, puts out a max of 410W on the combined three. It's the absolute smallest PSU I'd recommend, and then only to those on a budget who never plan to upgrade!
My True550 puts out a max of 530W combined. I plan to add a 75Watt videocard!
Also, you should never operate any power supply at its continuous maximum for very long.
So, YES, you probably need a new supply.

  • [VIA] MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU and a MSI FX5900XT 128MB DDR Video Card

Does any body out there know if a MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU and a MSI FX5900XT 128MB DDR Video Card will work well together?

like the grayone say, is true. for more ensure, try and search the graphic cards support list for your board at MSI (Sorry cause i don,t no is  where the site located)
in my opinion, most is compability for your card, when is a AGP slot.
Except the new one like the AGP slot, call AGR( Accelaration Graphic Riser slot) that really need to find a compatibility graphic cards.....

  • MSI GeForce 6200 128MB running DVI 1680x1050

    Hello,
My VGA is MSI GeForce 6200 128MB. VGA driver is GeForce 175.19
Monitor is Samsung T200 with native resolution 1680x1050 and DVI input.
When I set resolution to 1680x1050 using DVI output, desktop is streched wider than screen and I have to scroll down for taskbar or scroll right to show clock for example. Setting resolution at 1680x1050 using analog output, it looks fine except that desktop icons are slightly streched verticaly.
How can I get correct picture in DVI? Is it driver problem and what version is recommended to install?
    Thanks&Regards

Alrite thanks, I’ll see what I can do. A friend told me that older drivers might be more convenient for 6200 and he mentioned 91.31. So I might go with that.
Also browsing other forums I found this solution, and they said it will work well with static screens but not so well when playing games. Well this might be the last alternative, providing I don’t find solution with drivers.

  • MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB refresh problem

    Hi all!
I have following WinXP refresh problem:
When I set refresh rate to value bigger than 75Hz, system tells me that refresh rate was changed, but my monitor still shows me 75 Hz.
    My HW configuration:
    Athlon XP 2000+
    ABIT KD7 (VIA KT400 chipset)
    MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB
    IBM DeskStar 45GB 7200 rpm
    17" AOC 7GLr
I have tried various graphic card drivers (both drivers that were on CD supported by MSI and downloaded detonators from nVidia), for my monitor i have correct drivers from AOC. I was able to set refresh rate to 100Hz using PowerStrip 3.3. In SiSoft Sandra Professional i found warning, that i should use PnP/DDC compatible monitor or video adapter.
Guys from AOC support told me, that problem is probably in my graphic card.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks in advance.  :(

I experienced the same problem with a new msi 440mx VTD (8x). I tried the latest detonator drivers (41.07 and 41.09) and could not get more than 75Hz refresh in any resolution, though the configuration told me it was 85Hz. In Monitor Inf my Iiyama MT-9017T has the specs 96kHz and 55-160Hz, that used to give me 1024x768@100Hz with my old graphics adapter.
    my configuration:
    Athlon XP 1600+
    Epox KTA3pro (KT133a)
    WIN2000

  • Msi kt4av-l motherboard re agp?

This is probably a stupid question, but could anyone tell me if a Sapphire Radeon 9250 128mb 8x agp card would be suitable with the above motherboard?
I can't list my full details about my pc as I am in the process of replacing everything and building anew.
    Any help would be appreciated.

if that board has an AGP slot, then you can fit any AGP card in it (apart from the really old AGP 1x cards of course )

  • MSI GeForce FX5600-TD 256Mb Tv-Out, DVI

    Hallo!
    I have a AND XP 2000+, 512 DDR 266,  MSI KT3-Ultra, MSI GeForce FX5600-TD 256Mb Tv-Out, DVI
and a 450W psu. Win XP Professional sp1
I have a problem with games and when i tested in 3dMark.
    It's score bad.
    3dMark2003: 2312
All drivers are up to date and i have tried to reinstall all components
Can Somebody help me Please? ;(

sorry but the only way you will improve your score is to lose the MSI FX6500. This is a renault 5 in ferrari clothing. It simply does not have the necessary fill rate to compete with even a Ti4200, trust me I spent 2 weeks trying to get it running to spec.
Basically only an Ultra or FX5900 will improve it.
Nvidia boobed on the design of the Graphics processor, the card can throw out frames well beyong a ti4200 capability but because it cant fill them quick enough it cant maintain the framerate.....still dont believe me ? Try thi, run 3d MARK, any version, in 640X480, youll notice that the score doesnt improve dramtically. 640X480 should mean more FPS but still no fill rate so it cant process any quicker.
I am well pi**ed of with my FX5600.

    Filip,
Set your Desktop to 16bit color. There is nothing on your desktop in 32 bit color. All it does is slow your comp down. Remember that when you play a game your comp is still rendering your desktop in the background, and 32bit color uses more CPU cycles then 16bit color.
    Richard
P.S. The color setting of your desktop has nothing to do with the color settings of your game.
