MSI GE70 FPS Drops + Lag Spikes

Hey there everybody and msi's readers.
My problem is :
I bought my MSI GE70 one month ago ( i7 4700 HQ, GTX 860M )
I'm a League of legend player, and a CSGO player. I bought this laptop either for playing games and working ( using autocad and other construction stuff )
By the way, Since i get it, when i'm playing CSGO every minute or about, i got my laptop heavily lagging but my ping still at 30. I suppose, FPS Drop ( i already read a subject about it on this forum, i tried to put the thing @ 99% instead of 100% and trying to see if there was nothing running on the background that may give me these fps drops, by the way it didnt change anything )
The second point thats not on CSGO, on League of legend, every minute too or about, i dont got any fps drop but a heavy lag spike during 2/3 seconds, then the ping comes back to normal.
I'm a bit worried about it, there probably might me something to do on my laptop to fix these but i'm not an expert on it so please if anyone got any solutions can you help me ?
By the way, on the post that i read about someone having the same problem on CSGO, he was using a program that gave him his FPS, his GPU's heat and others stuff, may i have the program name please so i can give you more information on what happen when FPS Drop arrives on CSGO.
Thanks everyone who provides me help
And sorry for my english, i tried make it as clearly as i could by the way i'm not english  .
If anyone that can help me about this dont understand what i mean in some points please ask me i will be pleased to answer for any helps haha

i saw your post and i'm going to try it as soon as i can ( probably tomorow night ) but i got a question, i got FPS Drop on CSGo ok, thats a problem many guys have with msi's GTX 860 M GPU ok meh, i also got something on League of Legend, i got a heavy lag spike ( about 300 ms ) during 3 / 4 seconds, then its coming back to 40 ms.  Should i also try out, by reducing my GPU's temperature ( as you did in your post ) and try to see if it may do something for my League of legend lag spike aswell ? or might this come from an other problem on my laptop ?. i already tried to get Killer Lan network last update and it didnt change anything. I checked all of my drivers update about internets ( wifi card etc... ), all is updated. By the way, my lag spikes frequency goes as my FPS Drops on CSGo, about every 1 / 2 minuts, i just wonder, if it comes from my GPU, why on CSGo i got fps drop because gpu is hot meanwhile on League i got lag spikes to manifest my gpu's overheating ?  Strange thing.
To be honest the heavily thing i'm mad of is that i played before on a Toshiba, with a simply cuda nvidia GPU, intel core i5, i had 30 fps on league of legend but never had any lag spikes. I also had 40 / 50 fps on CSGo but never had any problems like fps drop. I wonder why the hell are these MSI called " Gaming laptop ", if with a simple working notebook that may be only viable " for working on microsoft word " i got less problems ( A simple toshiba notebook by the way that cost 1/3 of this MSI's price . )
By the way panni i'm going to try your idea out tomorow and i'll tell you the result as soon as possible for CSGo.
Anyway if you got an other idea to help me for my lag spikes on league of legend i would be happy to hear you you'r free to PM me or we could even talk ( skype / teamspeak ) if you got something for me.
Thank you very much for your precious help

  • GE70-20D Massive fps drops. Serious problem.

    Hello evryone. I have a big problem with my MSI Ge70-20D (i5-4200m 2.5ghz+ gtx760m + 8 GB ram).
The problem is a fps drops in League of Legends. Its so weird because when my game started (00:00-1;50) i have maybe 140-160 fps, but in next 2-3 min i have 90-120 fps. Okey it could be fine but, when i use my some spell i my fps drops from 100-40-50 and screen hm freeze or make a slowly for a sec. Its happening in diffrent situation. When i put first ward/when i get lvl up etc. Its so boring ,and people who play in lol know this.
The next problem is in BIG teamfightas when on screen we can see a Lot of Minions a lot of ACTIONS (spells /ultimates like malph yasuo and other champion which make a chaos on screen, my fps drops to 30-40 fps and i rly can't play with this.
I tried to find help in league of legends support but nobody helps me. I tried in nvidia forum but nobody helped me.
And sad thing is i spend a lot of money for this notebook and it :censored:ed up. My friend have a dell inspirion with gt820m (lowest gpu than me , and i5-4210m 1.7ghz cpu [also lowest than my] ) and he have constant 100-120 fps even on the screen we can see a lot of action. So tell me HOW ? How my msi ge70 is so bad.
I checked my temperature. They are good. (55-65 C) in game with cooler booster and 65-70 with no cooler boster [after a long game].
I have the latest drivers! Even i make a re-install system i still have this issues. I turn off vsync of course. Changing a setting for low/medium/high in game dont solve problem.
I have all netframework and ccc redistuable. I have a maximum perfomance in setting of power managment. My gpu can be broken?
    PLEASE HELP SOMEONE.

    Hi there,
Is your 8GB ram on only one pcs and run single channel? I mean two pcs of memory and let system run in dual channel can improve the performance.
And did you install game on SSD? That will also improve it.
Following is the suggestion I found from other post:
    1.   Memory is occupied by Killer process. Task manager shows RAM is 100% in use. And this problem can be resolved by updating new driver from MSI website.  Or below link:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1oSMeecH6wcUGlCTWFOd3lhTWc/view?usp=sharing
    2. HDD is occupied by contents index or removing language packs process. We suggest user to check FAQ 740 and FAQ 646 for this two problems.
    FAQ:740
When WINDOWS 8 OS is in idle mode, HDD usage often reaches 100%.

    FAQ:646
    http://www.msi.com/faq/nb-646.html
    3. System didn’t use dGPU to run games. We knew that some of LOL old patches couldn’t start the game with auto select dGPU. User has to enter Nvidia control panel and assign the program to run dGPU.
    4. When playing some games, game lags might happened due to the hard disk's power saving function. Also the hard disk's sounds might appeared due to the fast read/write tasks from the system. You can follow the instructions and try to turn off the power saving and acoustic management function of your hard drive to avoid game lags and try to decrease hard disk's sound.

  • Severe Lag Spikes - GE70 2PC Apache

    Hello everyone,
I consulted the search function and found out that I'm not alone with this, but sadly there also was no fix for my problem.
I bought the GE70 just recently and am pretty happy with it. It has decent specs and runs every game that I play very smoothly.
    Until I enter online modes.
I get super hard lag spikes from 50-60ms up to nearly 300ms, which is super annoying especially in games like dota2 or any shooter. These lags occur every 2-5 minutes. The MSI support suggested that I should lower my Wi-Fi adapter settings using these options
    Quote
    Dear user,
    1. Update the latest NVIDIA driver from the official MSI website.
    2. Configure the WLAN adapter setting
         1. change HT mode-> Disabled 2. Preferred Band -> 2.4GHz 3. Roaming Aggressiveness -> Lowest
We also suggest router with 802.11n
I did all of the above, but didnt achieve the desired outcome. In fact, it helped a little as it reduced the occurence of lags from every 2-5 minutes to every 5 minutes. Yet, i still believe that there has to be a final solution.
This is what my device manager looks like, after I updated the latest intel wifi & bluetooth drivers:
During all the research I did to find a solution to my problem, I cam up with a great way to test whether the problem is fixed or not.
So for everbody that has this problem and needs to check whether it is solved, after trying something new:
    WinKey + R
    type "cmd"
type "ipconfig" into the cmd window
locate the Standard-Gateway for the connection you're currently using (often times it's 192.168.1.1)
    type "ping 192.168.1.1 -t"
This will ping your router every second or two. If you leave it running for five to ten minutes, you can press Ctrl + Scroll Lock and it will show you some statistics. They look like this (if you have lag spikes)
Anyways, after reading quite a bit, i found out that the issues I'm having might relate to the Killer e2200, unfortunately, i was not able locating neither the newest driver nor the KillerCleaner (both of which are suggested here) and therefore could not try fixing it that way.
I am also suspecting the nvidia geforce experience software to be the cause, but i am not sure.
So here I am guys, trying to solve this problem, since it bugs me a lot. I just want to be able to play any game without these stupid lags. Simply using an ethernet cable is not an option. :(
So yeah, any help is appreciated.
    My Specs:
    GE70 2PC Apache
Win7 64bit Home Premium (free windows 10 upgrade, woohoo :D)
+ the connectivity devices from above
Here, have some more pictures of spikes:
    Edit: Wrong devmgr-pic attached.

Ofc i did. Twice in fact. Although the first support guys were only making wild guesses such as referring to this link https://dragoonarmy.msi.com/home/info/labs/detail/309 which relates to the GT72 and not the GE70 which has no Shift whatsoever.
Then they started talking about the HDDs power saving mode and decreasing the W-Lan-Adapters performance, as quoted above. Not only was nothing related to my problem but in fact completely off topic.
My second experience with the support was just now. They referred me to the same guide you did and which i found myself already.
Now the support dude suggests that i do this:
    - Reinstall Windows and only install SCM (which i believe to be the Steel Series thingy) and nothing else from the driverCD that came with the laptop.
    - then to update the bios and ec firmware (whatever that is)
and if nothing helps i am supposed to sent the laptop for a checkup. which sucks, as i am going to shanghai in a week. so either i reinstall windows. which already sucks. or i contact msi china once i am there. and explain my problem. in chinese. probably xD
Anyways, I don't think a new laptop should be more influenced by electromagnetic intereferences as an old one. since better shielding amirite?^^

  • GE70 2OE, FPS DROPS

    hey,
i bought the GE70 2OE gaming series notebook last week. but i noticed when i play CSGOi get fps drops from 170 fps to 20-30 fps for about 10 - 50 secs. This keeps on repeating during the gameplay and in dont think it's normal.
when i run MSI Kombustor i get 45 fps with 99% GPU Load, and without graphics ring i get 91 FPS with 17% GPU Load.
and if i look on msi afterburner when playing csgo i see that i have 70% GPU load = 170 FPS, and then it drops to 20 fps and i get 25% GPU Load.
i reinstalled csgo this didn't help, then i did a fresh W8 install but didn't help at all either. then i run MSI live update, it says there is a intel svga driver update, and when i install this i only get 15 fps on MSI Kombustor and 80fps on csgo. so i deleted this update because it got worse. i checked nvidia updates, but non available.
i hope somebody know's a fix, or knows what the problem is. to play games like this is not very fun.
    setup: Intel i7 4th generation

Well, I'll be perfectly honest here, your CPU is running at nearly the max allowed temperature, which is most likely why it is throttling.
Notice how it's running at 80C or more on all the cores? That is not very good.....
Now, I'm not sure how adept you are with computers and/or electronics.
What I would suggest, if you are adept, is to replace/re-apply the thermal compound on the heatsink(s) for the CPU and maybe the GPU as well.
If you are NOT adept at it, then I would suggest RMA'ing the laptop.  >>How to contact MSI.<<
when i start the game, and core temp are like 60°C, the CPU is already throttling. not only at 83°C.
and is not always at 83°C, when playing it goes from 71 - 83°C, and when not playing, it goes from 54-61°C
and about the heatsinks, it's a brand new notebook. so i got it delivered broken or what? and what about my 2year warranty!
what u mean with RMA'ing the laptop? xD
i just ran the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool, and the test passed. temp and everything was normal.
test results ( i can give the TestResults.txt file for full test results):
    --- Load Level = 8
    CPU Load Passed!!!
     --- Temperature Test ---
    Temperature Test Passed!!!
    Temperature = 9 degrees C below maximum.

  • GE70 2OC - FPS drops, CPU throttling

Im new to this forum so welcome everybody. Hope this is a right place to post and I hope you guys will be able to help me.
I have a brand new MSI laptop, GE70 2OC model, with i7-4700MQ and Nvidia GT 750M.
I am experiencing some overheating issues during gaming. When laptop is idle or I'm simply browsing the web the temperatures of CPU and GPU seem OK, in between 30-40 degrees (Celsius). The problem starts with gaming. Of course I'm using Gaming mode (as of power management) and Cooler Boost technology (without it I would be doomed it seems).
After 15-20 minutes of gaming the lapop heats up pretty badly. The CPU temperatures exceed 90 degrees and the GPU reaches 80-85 degrees. Then come the FPS drops, every few seconds the game becomes unplayable for 1-2 seconds then its ok for few seconds and so on.
I started diagnosing the problem and it seems that the drops are caused by the CPU reducing the frequency to 800Mhz due to thermal issues. Besides me being unable to play any more demanding game Im also worried about the life of laptop components...
The only way I was able to stop this is to use ThrottleStop application and reducing the multiplier to obtain lower frequency. It stops throttling at 3.0Ghz but the temperatures remain as mentioned before. Still I think I should be able to use full power of a brand new machine not to mention such high temperatures IMHO affect the hardware during longer period of time.
Now, is there anything I can do to fix this? If you guys need anymore information, please do not hesitate.
    Looking forward to your answer.
P.S the temperatures where checked during gaming (in windowed mode) with CPU-Z, GPU-Z, CoreTemp and the built-in hardware monitor in ThrottleStop. They vary a little bit but these are neglectable differences. I also raised the back of the laptop to provide better ventilation, it may have same effect but it's insignificant.

Most likely the heatsinks aren't seated properly or the heatsink compound wasn't applied correctly.
This is fairly common, and I had the same problem with my GT70 0NE when I purchased it.
It's fairly easy to remove open the bottom of the laptop up, remove the heatsinks and clean and re-apply the thermal compound, and then re-seat the heatsinks. Takes maybe 30 minutes if you're slow and careful like me.
If you don't feel good about doing it, then I suggest doing an RMA.
    >>How to contact MSI.<<
ALSO, as long as you don't screw anything up inside the laptop, the warranty will still be good. Don't worry about the sticker on the bottom. It's mainly there to keep people from opening it up, but you have to be able to in order to add more memory or another HDD/SSD.

  • When I open about this mac - more info and I switch through the tabs (display, memory, storage, support, service) it lags (fps drops, animation looks choppy not smooth). Why does this happen? (over 300 gb free, same programs installed, free desk-downloads)

When I open about this mac -> more info and I switch through the tabs (display, memory, storage, support, service) it lags (fps drops, animation looks choppy not smooth) even though all the mac (programs , interface ) works smooth . Why does this happen? (over 300 gb free, same programs installed, free desktop-downloads -no garbage there- everything neat and tidy.) Need some help. Only there it the animations goes like 2 fps and is not smooth. I do not understand why because the programs are the same so its the usage. Nothing is changed, yet i experience this little issue for a couple of days.

OK, I'm confused. When I do About this Mac > More Info in OS10.9, I don't see any animation other than the window resizing. Is that the animation you are describing?

    4) Any third-party disk backup software that came bundled with an external hard drive?
    5) Any online backup scheme other than iCloud (Carbonite; GoogleDrive; MS One Drive)?
    6) Did your financial institution ask you to install Trusteer EndPoint Protection (also known as Trusteer Rapport)?

  • MSI FX600 sudden FPS drop (GeForce GT 325M)

    Hello,
I've searched around for similar threads, but the results were inconclusive because the suggested fixes for this problem do not work for me.
When playing any game (tried LoL, Dota2 and Skyrim), the FPS drops every couple of minutes to 4-5 frames per second. If I alt-tab, wait ~10 seconds and then get back into the game, the FPS is back to normal. Then, after a few minutes, it happens again.
I tried fiddling with the GPU settings, I reinstalled the OS (Win 7 64-bit) and the drivers from the official MSI website. Nothing changed. It is not an overheating issue, as I only have this problem for one day, and the temperatures were not different before this (max 81 degrees celsius, cos I have a big-ass cooler). I do not have any antivirus installed. I can't remember doing anything out of the ordinary before this problem occurred.
    Thanks in advance.

I have this same issue. It seems after about 5-10minutes after to gaming a game the FPS will suddening drop for about 5 minutes (unless, as you say, I alt+tab and give it a couple of seconds and go back to it). I have been trying to find a solution to this problem all over the internet, I have yet to find anything. I have tried updating drivers, tested out beta drivers for my Nvidia GeForce GT 325M on my MSI FX600 which I bought last january. If anyone has any idea how I could fix this, that would be great.

  • MSI GT683r Massive fps drop (CPU overheating)

    System Information:
    http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT683.html
    OS: Windows 7
    Brand: MSI GT683R-242
CPU: intel quad core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 560M 1.5 GB GDDR5
    RAM: DDRIII 16GB(4GB*4)
    HDD: 1TB (500GB*2 RAID 0)7200 RPM
Hello, I'm having a lot of problems with my cpu temperature being high especially when gaming and this results in getting intermittent FPS drops when gaming. My fps when gaming drops to about 10fps (this doesn't necessarily happen when I'm in a particular FPS intensive condition either, could happen when I'm just walking around in the world). I've noticed my CPU temperature is close to 90 degrees when this occurs (I realize it's due to the core temperature being too high). It shouldn't matter what game since I should not get these FPS problems with a laptop like this but the game I play is a MMORPG called Rift.
After playing Rift for about 1 hour and a half mainly in pvp battlegrounds (15 players per team in the battleground so a total of 30 players), my core temp for my cpu reach the high 80 degrees and I’ve received 4-5 massive fps drops while playing during this time. I was able to screenshot my FPS during the FPS drops and I obtained a few screenshots while playing in game. See screenshots below.
NOTE1: CPU core Temperature is shown in the upper right of the screenshots, the running processes from the task manager is also shown in most of these screenshots.
NOTE2: I play with the native resolution of my laptop 1920 x 1080. I normally play windowed full screen but I include the CPU core temperatures & Task Manager so it wasn't window full screen. Also, I did not have the Turbo and the Nvidia Overclock Tool activated but I've tried both in the past and have not noticed a noticeable difference in my FPS drops while using them. (I  also get FPS drops while using the Turbo and Nvidia Overclock Tool).
NOTE3: I play the game with medium settings to try to alleviate this FPS problem but I've had FPS problems still happens even in low settings.
After restarting my computer my idle temperature on all my 4 cores according to core temperature sits around 45 degrees (fluctuation + / - 2 to 3 degrees) with practically no processes running (close to 100k memory in the task manager processes).
When loading up Rift and being IDLE in town my cpu temperature fluctuates between 50 and 61 degrees. CPU usage in task manager fluctuates between 10-16%.
My Normal FPS in a combat environment playing Rift (fluctuates a little obviously but it's usually in the 25 FPS range), FPS can be seen on the bottom right of the Rift client (performance area)
FPS drop result after CPU temp overheating, FPS can be seen on the bottom right of the Rift client (performance area). The CPU temperature was in the high 80's before this FPS drop.
CPU temperatures while idling in town after a battleground (I also get FPS drops in town and dungeons as well but usually not as frequent as I do in a battleground or in Raids)
CPU temperatures while killing a boss in a raid, there were probably about 100 players in the environment, I had a huge FPS drop just after taking this screenshot
I also took a Screenshot of my core temp about an hour after I stopped playing, My CPU temperature was constantly fluctuating between the low 60's to high 70's when my computer only had a few processes running.
I've looked around for a solution for this problem but I can't seem to find one. I haven't physically opened my laptop to check if there's an issue inside but I've only started having this FPS problem since about 2 months. I had no FPS problems until recently.
Not sure if it matters or not but my NVIDA driver version is 296.10. I've tried reverting to the previous driver to see if this latest driver update was the problem but it didn't change anything. Other things I've tried is changing some settings in the NVIDIA control pannel but this has not worked either. I've even tried playing my game on the lowest settings and still had intermittent FPS drops. I've browsed through the forums and some people have suggested flashing the BIOS but I'm a bit skeptical to do that. I also attempted to call MSI customer support and left a message but they have not returned my call yet. Anyone got any suggestions to fix this problem?

The simple solution is to open the bottom and blow out the air through the center of the fan with canned air.  The vents arent plugged but the fan itself probably looks like a fuzzy mop.  Shoudl fix your problem and will not void your warranty.
The ideal solution is to pop the heatsyncs of the CPU and GPU, replace whatever crap their using with artic silver and appreciate a refined machine.  Not only will you not have overheats but your machine will use its fan less and thus be quieter.  This WILL void your warranty... but its worth it.  Just dont do it unless you are savy.
Other then that.  Lifting the laptop off the ground is ESSENTIAL.  Look at the bottom.  It has vents.  Ask yourself.. "Self.. what could these vents possibly be for?"  Self will hopefully reply "Well Self, I would say they are there for cooling."  "SO self these vents have a purpose???"  "Yes, self, they do.  Their purpose is cooling and airflow"  "Well then why do we not have airspace allowing air to actually get into these vents?" "Because self.. we like it flat....  Like a tire thats soon to be on fire..." Hopefully after that your enlightened self will go get a stand.  If you want the lowest profile you can get you need a thin cooler system, if you dont care about that just buy a stand that permits airspace and flow.  I mean your running an advanced gaming rig.  In a normal box these components may have 4+ fans... Your laptop has one.  Help it out.
The good news is perhaps cooking your cpu will have a burn in effect and make it clock to higher speeds... However I doubt it.  Chances are you are cooking everything from said chip to your HDs and you should stop, because that MIGHT void your warranty.

I'd be more for RMA'ing the board.
But personally, I'm staying away from Killer Network products from now on. They are buggy and do not work very well when they don't work. Sometimes they don't work at all. Check back through these forums, and one of the biggest issues with any of the boards and/or laptops is always the Killer Networks NIC's. And there is no simple and easy fix for many of the issues.
If it was me, I'd buy a nice wireless card and use that instead. Or do the Intel mod you posted about.
I won't say that the Killer Networks device SHOULD work, but time and time again they prove to not work. In that case, I'd replace it with something that will and move on. A $40 wireless card to not spend days or weeks trying to fix the problem is money well spent in my opinion.
now im going with powerlink and all went good, but as all know, powerlink after 2 years will broke and need to replace..... but online game with eth is always better.
So im tihink to resend to AMAZON and ask for refund and ill rebuy a gaming 7 without wifi this change refund me a good 100 euro......

  • MSI GT60 2PC Dominator (w/ GTX 870M) - FPS Drop/Fan Problem

    Hello all,
as the title explains, I am having a frustrating problem with FPS drops in demanding games only (until now in The Witcher 2/Bioshock Infinite) which I imagine is related to the fan speed. My notebook was bought on the end of September 2014, and this problem has always happened (I haven't played many demanding games during this year so that's why I am only really worried about it now).
I recorded a few in-game videos (during a The Witcher 2 session) so you can see with your own eyes how these drops happen.
Also, in the second clip, you can see how my fan speed oscillates all the time during heavy gaming (also during "The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition", in High Specs with minor tweaks). I would really appreciate if someone could tell me if this is normal or not, because it has been bugging me for a while! I haven't synchronized the clip of my fan oscillating with the actual gameplay during the time, but I can guarantee that in general these FPS Drops happen the most when the fan speed is oscillating the most.
If any more information is necessary, please ask me so I can provide them promptly!
I hope someone can help me!

    Thank you for you consideration!

hey, maybe you can use the tool to export your system config so we can try to give advice. However, fan speed raising is the effect of the heat not the cause of the fps issue.

  • Y410P Annoying Lag Spikes in All Games

Since the condition is still significant since the time I previously posted a thread on this issue, I'll just copy paste it. "No matter what setting, no matter what game, I seem to always get frame rate drops for around 40 seconds to a minute. While using MSI afterburner to check the graphics cards' performance I noticed that during the lag spikes, the GPU usage drops significantly, increasing back to normal once it ends.
    Computer Specs:
    Lenovo Y410P
    Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4 Ghz
Nvidia GT 755M 2Gb (Latest Drivers)
    8 Gb RAM
    Windows 8
An example of the frame rate drop would be running Battlefield 3 at over 80 frames per second before dropping to 30-40 regardless of what's happening on the screen. This was even at medium-ish settings to account for the lag spike, at my preferable high settings I would be forced down to ~25 FPS during the lag spikes." Any idea what the issue is or how to fix it?

  • Lag spikes during League of Legends

I just got this laptop within the past two weeks. I was looking for a computer that could handle gaming and graphics but could do everything else with a reasonable price tag. I came up on this computer and got it customized and shipped to me. I play games like League of Legends that require a lot of virtual memory and RAM in order to run smoothly. With that being said, I downloaded League of Legends after getting the laptop and started playing a game. After about 10 minutes I started lagging horribly. My FPS dropped down to 4-5. So I did the normal thing everyone recommends. Close down all background apps, make the computer where it conforms to better performance, restarted internet, and restarted computer. After doing all the steps above I once again was playing a game just fine until about 10 minutes into the game my FPS dropped down yet again. This is a repeating error that happens about every other few minutes. I googled if anyone else had this problem and apparently I'm not the only HP user who has this issue. With that being said does anyone know how I could fix these random lag spikes and play a peaceful game of League?
    Yes It's Lulu

    Hi,
Please check Memory from Task Manager to see available RAM after 10 mins. Please bear in mind, even you have a lot of RAM available but system can only allocae/assign up to the max number. Laptops for games are not cheap, you need to spend at least $2,500 for a laptop to be able to play high end games.
    Regards.

  • MSI GT683 graphics card lagging GTX 560M

Okay, so i bought my GT683 back at July 2012.
a month ago, my laptop started having BSOD, i went to the MSI store and have them check my laptop, and they fixed it, they said that the RAM was causing the BSOD and they put in new RAM.
When i got my laptop back, the graphics card started to show bad performance.
Even NBA2k13 runs very badly, which is a game that should be running real smooth on my specs.
I even lag on GTA San Andreas.
What do you guys think is the problem? You guys think i need to go get my laptop and bring it to the MSI store again?
    Thanks
and oh yeah, when i click on the Turbo, it doesn't light up too, even though i installed the updated driver for it..
