MSI GeForceFX 5700LE crashes during 3D game-play
i've been getting this problem since 3 days ago when I upgraded to this MSI GeforceFX 5700LE TD256,the system runs quite well under normal condition, that is,when no 3d game is running. once I start running any 3D games for like 3 minutes or less, the sytem crashes and I have to reset it, I tried the same game with my onBoard VGA card and there's no problem.
Mainboard: MSI 865GM2-LS,with updated BIOS and Intel INF
VGA: MSI GeforceFX 5700LE TD256
CPU: Intel P4 2.8G
I've also got a creative live! 5.1 sound card,a firewire PCI card,a PCI TV adapter,a maxtor 80G harddisk and a TDK CDRW
There're 3 case fans.
PSU is an Antech rated 350W max.output
Here're what i've tried:
1.Plugged out all PCI cards and case fans only left with the VGA card, the sound card, the harddisk and the CDRW,and updated to the newest VGA driver, mainboard BIOS, and increase the AGP slot voltage to 1.6V, no luck
2.Adjust the memory clock,3d clock,2d clock to its min. value, the original value's 400,250,225 respetively,I changed 'em all to 200, now the system runs OK, but since 400,250,225 is the original value for the card, I dont understand why it doesnt work with that clocking.
Since I'm using an Antech PSU, and I tried to plug everything out, so I dont really think there's a problem with my PSU,though it gets a bit hot sometimes.
Can anybody figure out what's wrong? Thanks~~

2.2 crashed During palying game
my new 2.2 OS has been crashed during playing game and the game is a free app from app store. I am so confused, I do not remember even the name of the game. I'v tried to restore my phone but Itunes has stopped at "restore iphone software". please somebody help me!
my phone is 8G 1.1.4 updated to 2.2I normally get this sort of crash during crop and rotate actions - which I was doing prior to switching to the clone brush.
So, my guess would be that the Crop/Rotate tool is still the culprit and does something to Lightroom's stability. I would guesstimate that I've had 15-25 crop rotate crashes in LR 2.0, 2.1rc1 and 2.1 combined. -
The game eventually loads but now takes forever. If I switch to a different section of the game, it also is slow. It wasn't before I upgraded to the "new, improved" version. I was better off with the old Adobe plugin and putting up with the occasional crashing.

Satellite Pro A100-080: NVidia display driver crashing during 3D Games
Hello,
i have some problems with the display driver since i've bought the notebook 9 month ago. I've tried to install every new driver published on the toshiba homepage but no driver is running stable on my system.
The problem is that my notebook is crashing with bluescreen during playing 3d games and my windows vista tells me its the display driver causing the crashes.
I had the previous version of the driver installed several month ago and i feel it was more stable than the current version. But unfortunately i've lost the files for that one, but i would prefer any functional driver for this notebook.
My Notebook
Satellite Pro A100-080
Modelno. PSAASE-00G004GR
Manufactured on 2007-02-20
Thank you all in advance for yr assistance

RobertHi,
below you will find a small list of games i've tried on my system.
Supreme Commander
Halflife 2 (including several mods)
World in Conflict Demo
Warhammer - Mark of Chaos
Warhammer - Dawn of War
X3
I've also tried to play the older games on compatibility mode, but this doesnt run. At least one of those games should run properly on my system, but none is running. -
there is only one minute to play each of these games so this is critical to game play
Addition:
Stupid thing is my computer works fine only internet connected stuff causes TOTAL freezes: nothing works. <CTRL>+<ALT>+<DEL> doesnt react. <ESC> neighter. I can only get my computer to react by "killing" it completely with power shut off ("pull the plug") and starting up from scratch.
My partners computer is working fine. He also has updated to V10.0.2 And can play the game or do anything else. It happens on my laptop with Windows vista.
Now Im typing this on an other computer. So the computer details of this one are NOT RELEVANT. Please ignore.
Because of TOTAL freeze I get NO troubleshooting information.
The whole screen is a still. Sorry.
So, now Im pretty sure its FF V10.0.2 cause we've ruled out pretty much everything else and before I go through the whole installation process... This is my LAST hope.
ANYBODY??? PLEASE HELP ME??? -

No crash reports have ben submitted as I was not able to get back to my desktop without re booting my PC as I was in full screen mode and Alt-Tab allowed me to tab through open applications they did not actually switch to the fore ground leaving me with the cideo paused at the point Firefox crashed.
I was able to see the firefox has crashed window whilst Alt-Tabbing but not able to switch to it.
I was watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05x1Jk4rT1A youtube video in full screen mode. when firefox crashed.
I have been experiencing this a lot on my old Ubuntu installation but put it down to possible conflicts with other installed software or installed plugins. In fact I got so frustrated with this that I switched to using Google Chrome which had no issues like this whatsoever.
However I thought I would give Firefox another go on a fresh installation to see if anything had improved.
I have read many posts and seen plenty of reports of this issue but sadly no solutions go back through lots of versions of Firefox.
I'm using the default open source video drivers.
I'm going to go back to using Google Chrome as it is far more sxtable so there is no urgency to resolving this issue but maybe you can find some solution to this seemingly common problem as I have a bit of a soft spot for Firefox and am kinda sad that this issue still exists after all this time.
I am happy to try things out if it is of any helpHello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
* [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
* [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you. -
Adobe After Effects CC Crashes during preveiw
Hey everyone,
AE CC Crashes during a specific play-through/RAM preview
Video clip used is 60 frame rate 1280 by 720 about 4 seconds long
Video Edits:
1. use Masking to make a text reveal like its hand written out with Stroke (Said an error happened with Stroke before it crashed)
2. Had the clip 3d motion tracked with the built in 3D Camera Tracker.
3. Optical Flares
After it crashed I rebooted my computer, reopened AE CC and imported another un-edited clip and it previewed without a problem, did this with many other clips as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you for your time.WIthot proper system info, the crash logs and other technical details nobody can tell you anything.

So here is the card I have and to sum things up after a few minutes of playing on any videogames the game will crash to desktop. I can't figure out what is doing it since my system was stable with my old card (MSI 560TI Twin Frozr2). Nothing else changed in my system.
I've been seeing some stuff about vbios for these cards so I was wondering if anyone here knew if that would help and how to do it.
Specs:
Intel Core i7 860
8 gigs ddr 3 RAM 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24
Mobo: EVGA p55 FTWQuote from: jonathan.c.mcbride on 08-January-15, 01:33:49
I can't figure out if the card will work with the mobo and bios. but I guess I can go ahead and flash the bios. It is an old board though the main components of this PC go back to 2010 if I remember right.
Also forgot to mention but this card worked perfectly for a month before it started to crash during games.so for a month straight I had zero issues. So i'm wondering if it could be faulty memory on the card cause I've seen someone talk about that before. -
New Game:Carcassone crashes during tutorial...
I'm brand new to the touch..i have the 8gb 3rd92nd gen)...I bought Carcasonne from the app store but it crashes at the touch at the same point early in the tutorial...any fix..Or is there a way to re-download..i have 4.1 installed and the other games work fine
TomFirst and foremost. Sorry for the giant 5 year bump. I have a reason for it though. This just started happening to me tonight. I have the w510, 500gb HHD 8gb ram and all the other normal stuff. Bought this laptop used about 4 months ago, was perfect. Just tonight while playing Fallout New Vegas, not a very difficult game to run, I had a hard shut down for some unknown reason. Screen went black, but the keyboard lights stayed on untill I unplugged the A/C (I keep it plugged in 247) and then it was off. Almost as soon as it did that, the finger print scanner light popped back on and was ready to reboot. 2nd time. Booted up fine. Running at Med settings around 50-40fps steady on FONV and played for about an hour. Then, Hard shutdown. Temps on all 4 cores where about 79-81 during the games load, runs about 85 when I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 never had this issue before tonight. Checked the Event log and nothing came up. This time I did reboot in the BIOS and attemped the Hard drive diagnostic but it just sat on 0% for about 25 min and aborted it. Don't know it that might have something to do with it but meh. I have my Nvidia settings on Performance, the battery/power settings are on Max performance, and It was plugged into the A/C both times. Some of my buddys said, overheating, motherboard failure. Hopefully someone can shead some light on this. This thread has the same issue as me. Didn't mean to cause a fuss for bumping such an old one. Sorry. Anyways. Sorry for the bump.

MSI 8600GT OC - "static" during games
I'm having a problem during certain games where, after anywhere between five minutes and several hours, "static" will appear on the screen. This static consists of short horizontal lines all over both screens. If I persist in playing after this static appears, the whole machine will lock up after another 5-10 minutes. Even after I quit the game, the static remains on the screen, the only way to get rid of it is to reboot the machine. I tried to take a screenshot of the static effect, but when I looked at the image, the static does not appear in it! I tried several more times, but in each case the static did not appear in the screenshot.
What really puzzles me is that it happens in some games but not others, and faster in some games than others. I can play The Sims 2 for hours and it has never happened. I can play World of Warcraft for several hours sometimes before the problem shows, or it can show up in 15 minutes. When I play Sid Meier's Pirates, or Diablo 2 (!), the problem is guaranteed to show up in less than 10 minutes. No comments on my choice in games, please!
I saw another post in the forums regarding a similar problem, https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=109195.0, they seemed to think the room temps may be to blame, but my system temps seem okay. Under load, SpeedFan reports my CPU temp at 52C, and NVIDIA Monitor says the GPU is at 66C. At idle CPU is 41C and GPU is 54C.
Here's what I'm running:
PSU: Antec EarthWatts EA500 (+5V 24A, +3.3V 24A, +12V1 17A, +12V2 17A)
Mobo: DFI Infinity NF570-M2/G
Chipset: NVIDIA nForce 570 MCP
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 'Windsor' 5600+ @ 2.8 GHz
Memory: 2x 1GB G.Skill PC2-6400 (part F2-6400CL4-1GBPK) @ 400MHz
HD: Seagate 320GB SATA (ST3320620AS)
Video: MSI NX8600GT-T2D256E OC(V102-03S)
Monitors: CMV CT-934D 19" LCD @ 1280x1024 & Hanns-G JC199D 19" LCD @ 1280x1024
I'm using, as of writing this, the most current chipset and video drivers from NVIDIA: 9.16 for chipset and 162.18 for video. I sent a tech request to MSI, but hopefully I can get it solved here first
I appreciate any help you can provide.what OS you are running?
try switch to the latest drivers, use Driver Sweeper to remove currently VGA drivers:

after having problems with the 2nd Dimm slot on my Gigabyte board i gave that away and bought an MSI socketA board as per the subject line of the post, and transplanted all the hardware onto the MSi board.

booted, and built fine, puzzeled about 2.7Volts for memory, but i guess 3Gb sucks a bit of juice.
crashed during games like doom3, farcry, trackmania sunrise etc. even just playng video! pushing up the memory voltage to 2.8v from 2.6v seemed to help... it would just run a little longer before crashing. everything is stock speed and voltage except the ram. tried all kinds of combinations of dimms in slots, tried upping the CPU Vcore. all chipset and GFX drivers are the lastest versions (5.10 for the mainboard, and whatever the current one is for the GFX card).
totally stumped. what is going on? and if anyone says i should have checked the ram compatability chart, i shouldn't HAVE to check to see if my ram is compatable. it should just work. and i am definatly NOT ditching £330 worth of ram over a £50 mainboard. the dimms are all from the same batch, same manufacturer, etc etc, and no trouble all with my old gigabyte board.
also checked the hardware, pulled cards, swapped gfx boards - my GF6800GT, spare GF5900U, old GF5200, and my old faithfull PCI GF2MX400. same problem.
now heres the kicker. got home from work for another evenings troubleshooting, (windows and games would blue screen saying i should check the drivers, or the hardware, gfx card) and found that the PSU had died. really annoyed now. when i go buy a new PSU, any suggestions? or shall i take this MSI board outside and shoot it?
come back gigabyte, all is forgiven. If those figures are right, I can't see the PSU as the reason for your problems.
About the temps, though I haven't got that experience myself, some temperature monitors read very high levels, while BIOS tells it as all is idle, and very idle. I mean, it could be the messenger.
Yep, I searched the Internet, quote 1 below. Thermaltake?! Maybe they have changed the specs? It is twice as expensive but moves half the air as to the Spire Whisperrock I've got (quote 2). I would if I were you, really go for an 80 mm HSF anyway.

Hi!
My system keeps crashing in 3D games or acts very slow after having played one. I recently switched mobo from an old Asus A7V133 to a new MSI KT333 but I didnt reinstall XP in between. Any suggestions? I have already installed latest Via drivers/Nvidia drivers but nothing changed (dont think its the infinite loop thingy). The cpu temp is between 36-42 degrees Celsius (I use and Arctic Cooler II as fan + 2 system fans).
My setup is:
AMD XP 1800
512 mb DDR 333
MSI KT333 Ultra 2
Geforce 3 Ti200 128 mb DDR
Windows XP
300 Watt power supplyyeap, reinstall windows xp from zero, cause you changed from KT133 to KT333 chipset.. windows xp doesnt take take well spawing from one motherboard to another (been there)
if crashes still happens, then we must troubleshoot--- -
MBpro 15" Crashing during games/movies/etc.
Hey, been experiencing crashes while playing games and watching a few movies on my MBpro 15" Mid-2010 i5 Gt330m.
It will just lock up all of a sudden and then play a continuous sound loop with a black screen. I then have to force shut it down, hold the power key down the first time-nothing....then try a second time to hold it down to shut it off and then it goes off.
Tried the update recommended by TS4088 and its still doing it. I have 10+ panic reports in the last few weeks. Can't play SC2 for more than 5-10 minutes.
Took it to the Apple Store today and they ran a check and of course everything comes up fine. I can get it to crash every time by playing sc2 about 5 minutes in, always on minimum settings. What gives?
Does this look like a hardware issue???
Shows up nealy the same type of issue every single time upon reboot

First, back up all data. Then uninstall the Cisco VPN client, which is notorious for causing instability. Use the built-in Cisco client, if possible. Test that configuration.
If there's no improvement, try running the 64-bit kernel:

27in 2010 [Mid] Running Really Hot During Game Play
Hello,
I've seen a couple other concerned users in here and figured I'd post my issue with my Oct (mid) 2010 27in i5 iMac.
For starters:
2.8ghz Intel i5
16gb of 1333 ddr3
ATI Radeon HD 5759 1024mb
Mac OS Lion 10.7.4
During game play the temperature of the top portion of the iMac exceeds 120'F, I'm fine with the heat, It's a large sealed aluminum case housing lots of hot items. Here's the catch my graphics begin to deteriorate and pixel/hexigon away so gaming is no longer visible... Now I've got a desk fan running behind the computer and can get a few more minutes before the pixel/hexigonal phase hits and game play must stop or be tolerated.
I just downloaded iStat widget to attempt to capture some temperature and fan data. Could this issue not be the temperature and maybe my GPU? Is there a standard limit of temperature to determine maybe my fans are not functioning correctly? Is there a safe way to clean the iMac's innerds without damaging anything?
Thanks -
(1) At Idle
(2) In game
(3) Shut down from game and attempting to cool down
Here's a snap shot of the graphics deteriorating, eventually the entire screen fills with "lack of graphics"
