MSI GP70 2PE Bluetooth Problem

Hi, i own a MSI GP70 2PE Lepoard and i'm experiencing problems with the bluetooth function.
it's not listed under PC and Devices, nor do i get a bluetooth icon down on the taskbar. Bluetooth is turned on via SCM.
Any help is appreciated

Try to update the latest SCM of your GP70 2PE and do the EC reset by removing the battery and the AC adapter.
If you can't enable the Bluetooth in SCM control panel, share the information of your WLAN adapter.
Which WLAN adapter you have and the Bluetooth driver version you have?
Also tell the OS and SCM version.
Does the WLAN function have the same problem as well?

  • MSI GP70 02PE startup problems

    Hello there
So I brought a MSI GP70 02PE laptop and it arrieved yesterday. Im facing a few problems however. But first alittle info:
Windows 8.1 was preinstalled but I dont like Windows 8/8.1(bad experience) so I wanted to install Windows 7. Theres drivers I can download but cant install because it needs some drivers(it asks for this during installation). But since it seems theres too much trouble installing Windows 7, Im going to use Windows 8.1. As expected, there was installed alot of useless problems, like Norton and winzip, I decided to go for a clean install. Since I have a Windows 8.1 installation disc, I deleted the partitions and installed Windows 8.1. The problems so far are:
    1) Sometimes the screen stucks at the MSI logo when turning on the laptop. When shut down and turning on the laptop, it loads to Windows. Laptop problems or is Windows 8.1 just still a mess??
    2) I cant install the lan drivers. Ive downloaded the newest driver and it just says it cant find the lan card. What to do??
    Thanks in advance!
    Heramir

Have you run the windows update before?
Check in your Windows update page and see if you have installed below KBs.
2982791 MS14-045: Description of the security update for kernel-mode drivers: August 12, 2014

There is a serious problem with the latest windows security update which might caused a crippled notebook.(The issue is now all over the place!)
If you still can enter the OS, try the fix for the Known Issue 3.
*The procedure is quiet complicated, but it's better not to take the risk of can't enter the system.

  • GP70 2PE Mousepad problem

I have a few month old GP70 2PE, and the mousepad has been jamed on the right mouse botton for about a month now.
It worked fine in the start, but now i cant use it, so i use my external mouse. I tried to reinstall the driver, and tried without a driver. same problem.
Anyone here who had the same  problem?
Next step for me, is to send it in for fixing. But if you could help here, it would be alot easier.

If you've reinstalled the driver with the problem persisting, it's likely to be a hardware fault. Unfortunately, I think the next step is checking with the service department in your country for repairs.

have you tried disabling creative cinema software? and see if issue remains? since i noticed that could be cause of mine doing no noise some times in windows and such.

  • Msi gp70 2pe leopard

i wanted to play dayz standalone on my laptop (gp70 2pe leopard) and i thougt it could do it easily.
But when i play dayz the framerates are very low even on very low graphics setting etc.
Any suggestions on this ? because i think it should be able to run it just fine.

Is your power light in orange while you are play DAYZ? Or it's blue?
If it's blue, that means your GP70 2PE only runs on internal (Intel) graphic chip and may not be fast enough.
To enforce your game running on external (NVIDIA) graphic chip, right-click your desktop and go to "NVIDIA Control Panel" -> "Manage 3D settings" -> select "Program Settings" and manually browse the execution file of the game DAYZ into customized list and select "High-performance NVIDIA processor" as your preferred graphic processor.

  • MSI CX61 0NF | Bluetooth Problem | SCM Related

Hi. I bought this laptop recently, used good. I am very satisfied except for the issue I'm having. I have reinstalled everything from scratch, downloaded all the driver it needs. I had WiFi glitch with the old driver on the download section of the MSI site, but with the driver from Intel, it works now properly. This laptop is running Windows 8.1 Enterprise 6.3.9600 Build 9600 (updates automatically).
    BIOS Version/Date      American Megatrends Inc. E16GBIMS.406, 10/10/2012
    SMBIOS Version         2.7
    Embedded Controller Version   255.255
The bluetooth (Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 + High Speed Adapter
with BT_3.1.1311_e164 Driver) won't turn ON when the SCM 10.013.06287 is installed (10.212.11060 has .Net Framework problem). It keeps it turned OFF for split second. Without SCM install, it works but the ECO Tech (Fn-F5)m webcam (Fn-F6) and laptop monitor switch won't work.
I have seen solution like EC Reset (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=112416.0) but it didn't work, reflashing EC Firmware and BIOS are something I need to know if that's the problem...
    Any solution to this?

Which WLAN adapter do you have?
Try to install the SCM version 10.013.03016:
    http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/nb/SCM_w8_10_013_03016.zip
    If you have WLAN adapter, Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 135 and Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230, try to install the driver version 3.1.1309_8164:
    http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/bt/bluetooth_intel_3.1.1309_8164.zip

does anybody know how i can fix this ?
    thanks in forward

    Hi,
You're using the "Network access" service of the desktop box I guess? That gives you access to the Bluetooth LAN adapter being installed with the Widcomm software. If you want to make some connections out you have to configure Internet connection sharing on the desktop box as well - and ofcourse make sure that the two devices are correctly paired with sufficient permissions in the security config. I have been running about the same setup on a slightly older 845E Max2-BLR MB using XP with virtually zero issues...

  • MSI GP70 2PE Leopard-Fan Noice

    Hello
Just got this computer and the first thing I notice is the fan is really loud.
I have updated the bios and all the drivers, still when I start the PC the fan is really active from the start.
My older Asus PC with the older Intel I7 and nvidia 640m is more quiet....
Is this a Bios problem that MSI will fix????
    Please help......

The best thing I can say to do is contact MSI Support.
    >>How to contact MSI.<<
It might be an issue with the EC firmware, or it could just be inherent to that machine since it is meant to be a slim model, which means less cooling capacity and would probably have to spin up the fan more often to keep things stable. Although if it is as loud as you claim it is, I kind of doubt that is the issue.

  • Msi GP70 2PE Leopard WoW lag

    Hello!
I have problem when i play World Of Warcraft my game sometime lag for 1-2seconds. I have optimazed my game in NVIDIA Geforce, i have latest updates for NVIDIA. I am playing also GTAV, and there is no lags at all, only on WoW, what is the problem?

Playing wow require more cpu usage . The sound that you meant could be the fan speed increasing due to rising temperature of cpu . You can check connection stability , power supply ,hybrid power setting been turned off when playing high-loading game or not .If the problem exists, you can try to lower the gaming performance .

  • MSI H87i and bluetooth problem

Hello. I just bought this motherboard. I am using Windows 7 64bit version and I have downloaded and installed all drivers and updates via  Live update. Everything works ok but no Bluetooth. In device list there is no bluetooth device. When try to install bluetooth drivers from motherboard drivers dvd (which came with the mobo), there is grayed option "install bluetooth". Is this Wireless-N 2230 broken? Wifi works normally. When I tried to install bluetooth drivers manually, installer finished it ok but still no bluetooth device!

  • MSI GP70 2PE Leopard MSSD Not recognized in BIOS

I've upgraded my BIOS and the firmware of the MSSD.
I installed windows 8.1 x64 on the MSSD via a USB installation.
After the installation I cannot boot on the MSSD because the BIOS will not recognize it.
Is this MSSD somehow not compatible? Are there any Compatible ones that do work?

  • GP70 2PE Leopard Microphone problems.

    Hello
    I have a GP70 2PE Leopard but I have some mic problems.
It works, but it sounds like i'm underwater and the only thing i hear is wapwapwapwapwapwapwap.
Anyone has any idea how to fix it please? Or even knows where the mic is on this laptop?

    Quote from: hch;111560
Try to use a external headset and see if the mic has the same sound.
Also, try to update the latest audio driver from the MSI website.
    Realtek Audio Driver(6.0.1.7179)
    http://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/ad/audio_realtek_6.0.1.7179_0x29f517cb_81700.zip
If the issue still remains, then go for a check at the service center.
ok, I have downloaded it, and now I open it with Zip.
But which folder should I run to start the install?

  • GP70 2PE-011CA LEOPARD - Bluetooth Connectivity issues

    Hey Folks,
I am a new user to the Windows World. I have been on Apple machines for the last 20+years.
    e
I do have above average knowledge when it comes to Windows and PC's in general.
My problem: My new work laptop (GP70 2PE-011CA LEOPARD) with Windows 8.1. I have a huge problem with keeping my keyboard and mouse connected via Bluetooth. I have a Microsoft Curve BT keyboard and mouse here at the office and a Logitech BT set at home. Either place, it has the same issue. Sometimes the BT service is turned off when I power up and log into Windows. Other times it is on and works fine for a bit. Either location, I am connected to the external Power source. This issue arrives whether I have USB devices connected or not. At most, I have a USB 3.0 HDD connected for backups. I can be doing something (nothing specific) and the BT will drop right off. The BT light is still on at the front of the laptop. When I open up SMC, it begins to work instantly. Just from tapping on the icon with the cursor. Or if I click the BT adapters icon in the system try. the connection will reconnect instantly. That is most of the time. Other times, the problem goes much deeper. I will have to uninstall the BT device in device manager and then search for new hardware and re install the drives and software.
This is becoming a huge issue now and I am running tires of it always happening. I hope there are some good suggestions as to something I can do to fix this. Oh, also note: Last week, I went out and purchased a separate USB BT device. It had the same issues as the native BT card on the laptop. Also note that the BT drops off with any bluetooth devices I am connected with at the time of issue.
    Please help your  PC brotha!!!
    best regards,
    David

    Give that a try.
I know a number of people have been having issues with Windows 8.1 and Bluetooth. It just doesn't seem to work well right now for whatever reason.

  • MSI GT70 2PE-1620 Recovery problems (no F3 recovery)

    Hi,
I'm the proud owner of e new MSI GT70 2PE-1620. But now I have some serious problems restoring Windows 8.1 back on it.
This GT70 has 3 SSD disk, in super RAID 0. For some reason the RAID failed and I to restore the RAID setup again. Which was successful. However my C partition was cleared. Now I have trouble resetting back the GT70 back to the factory setting, because the F3 function during startup does not function. The hidden partition with the MSI recovery files are still there: on the second disk (1 TB disk). I checked using Acronis Disk Manager.
I tried restoring back with a Windows disk (ISO download from the internet), but then I miss all my MSI tools and drivers. I do not have a MSI recovery CD/DVD disk.
Please help me to restore this GT70 back to its factory setting.
Secondly: can somebody tell me what the BIOS settings should be (factory setting) for this GT70. Ex.: should the boottype be UEFI or Legacy?

I've found a share which might be helpful.
    Try this:
    1. Run the command prompt as administrator.
    2. Type "reagentc /info" and press enter to check the recovery image location and you should see it shows 0 as null.
    3. Type "diskpart" and "list disk" to check your drives.
    4. Select the HDD drive where your hidden partition is locate. Type "select disk X" (X is the disk of you HDD)
    5. Type "list partition" to find your hidden partition. (You'll need the partition name for the recovery directory later.
    6. Type "exit" to exit the diskpart, then enter "reagentc /setosimage /path \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk1\partition4\RecoveryImage\ /index 1"
(*Note: 1. The harddisk1 is the drive name of your HDD, where your hidden is locate. 2. partition4 is the partition name of your hidden partition you read from step5.)
After setting up, you can use the windows recovery to do the system restore.
This should be able to help you restore to the factory settings.
*You can only choose the option to restore your whole system, so please backup all your files before doing the restore.
Thanks! I will give this a try. I will you know if this worked. One question before I try this:
Will this help me restore to the SDD disk? The hidden partition with the restore files is on a 1TB disk. Originally drive D: in Windows. The SSD disk should be C:, the boot disk with the OS.
    ** UPDATE:
I booted using a USB HD with recovery Windows files, and open up the cmd window. It tried, but it can not find or recognize the "reagentc" command. What am I missing?
