MSI GS70 2PE Raid size limit

Hi,
With regard to the 2x mSATA ports available on the GS70, in the specifications section it states that up to 768GB is supported in RAID configuration. Does this mean I can upgrade the mSATA disks to 2x 480GB and still have them in RAID, or is this a combination limit like 1x 256GB + 1x 512GB?
Thanks for the info!

The 2PE (the new GS70 with 860M or 870M that have Super Raid 2) do have 3 times a msata
And you can fill it with what ever you want. I think MSI just supplies later on an edition that has 3 times a 256GB ssd.. (a real high end one) so thats why they say 768GB
I have fitted my GS70 (860M edition) with 3 times a 250 EVO of samsung. So thats a total of 750GB, but i could also have bought 3 times the 500GB and have a total of 1.5GB that would(or at least should) also have worked fine

  • PCI ATA 66 RAID size limit?

I was wondering what the max hard drive size is for a PCI ATA 66. And can you make a larger volume via RAID 0 that exceeds that limit? For example, can you combine two 120GB physical disks into a single RAID volume on the ATA66 interface, or will the combined RAID volume size also be limited to <137GB?
On my system I use a single partition 120GB drive, and backup nightly with DejáVu to another 120GB drive, both are bootable 10.4 sytems. I am about 80% capacity now, and will be planning on adding some space in the future, so I was thinking about getting an external 250GB FW bootable drive for backup, and RAIDing the two 120GB drives into a single 240GB volume, if possible on a single cable on a PCI ATA 66 card.

The article cited below states that the ATA drive size limit is 200 GB for your Mac.
86178- Macintosh: Using 128 GB or Larger ATA Hard Drives
The last reference it cites talks about Volume sizes, and that is the important distinction for RAID. With most RAID schemes, you are creating a larger (or mirrored) Volume out of two smaller Drives (or portions of Drives).
I suggest you reconsider putting both drives on the same cable. Because of the way ATA/IDE works, there is NO Overlap in commands on a single cable. Each drive must initiate the seek, wait milliseconds for it to complete, and transfer the data in its entirety before any other transaction can begin on that cable. So one drive waits for the other to complete before it even starts its seek.
Users at MacGurus who are posting their whiz-bang RAID performance numbers in their forum are all using SCSI (which supports overlapped commands and overlapped seeks) or have the two drives on two cables. This allows one seek to start, the other seek to start on the other drive, the wait for milliseconds to overlap each other, and then transfer1 followed by transfer2, or possibly even some overlap in the transfers.

  • MSI GS70 2PE Stealth Pro - Swap CTRL-FN Key

hi, i'm purchase a used laptop yesterday
but this laptop swapped LEFT FN - LEFT CTRL Key
That seems to be a BIOS change
i want restored to its original state
    BIOS : E1772IMS.10E
    ReleaseDate : 2015/01/21

if this key change comes from firmware,
re-flashing to original 1772EMS1.506 should solve it:

  • MSI GS70 2PE - Stealth Pro | Audio Drivers / Microphone Issue

So i bought the gs70 stealth pro a few days ago and when i went on skype for gaming, i noticed my headset #1 mic was not working properly. The audio picked up on the mic is extremely low even when i tampered with the microphone boost.
Headset #1: Steelseries Siberia V2 Edition
Headset #2: Steelseries Siberia v2 Edition (neckband)
First i restarted my pc but that didnt do a thing.
I thought my headset broke so I used headset #1 on a different laptop (SONY VAIO), which is four years old.
headset #1's mic was working fine on my old laptop.
Then I tried using headset #2 on msi gs70 and it was working. a few hours later, i started playing csgo with my friends. they said they could barely hear me so i talked louder however that didnt do anything. it seems as though headset #2 was undergoing the same problem as headset #1.
I went onto the Realtek website to download the latest driver. I installed it, restarted pc and it didnt work.
I thought maybe it was not the correct audio driver so i went onto MSI's driver page, inputted all the information for my laptop and downloaded the correct drivers. After the installation, it still didnt work.
So then i deleted the realtek audio driver and tried both headsets.
Headset #1's mic was not working properly however headset #2's mic is fine.
I have no idea what the problem is other than the microphone input jack being messed up.
I am no expert when it comes to computer hardware. Please help.

Yes, the FAQ is for Apache not the stealth, just wonder if you experience the same problem. Anyway, try to unchecked the exclusive mode under advanced tab of microphone properties and chat with your friend in game again. Hop this could help you out. I google for a while and one guy fixed it up by unchecked the exclusive mode. Do not know if this applies to you since I unchecked it and chatted with my friend by skype, he barely heard me. But it would be ok if I ticked off exclusive mode. Strange.

  • Is it possible to attach an ACER T232HL Touch Screen Monitor to my MSI GS70 2PE Apache Pro?

Will the external monitor fully display the touch capability of Win 8 loaded in the notebook? Any tips on how to do it? Thanks in advance.

first of all it's called GS70 2PE and not Apache Pro xD secondly um you mean like a touch screen external monitor? or just normal external monitor? then it should support fully resolution yes by using fn + f2 if new monitor is giving black screen.

  • MSI GS70 2PE STEALTH PRO | FAN / WARMTH ISSUE

    Hello!
I've just bought myself a new MSI gaming laptop.
After 1,5 hrs by doing NOTHING, the fans starts to speed up a littlebit, and the front right corner of the notebook are getting a littlebit warmer.
I wonder if there is an utility to control the fans of the PC?
It's acting like this by playing spotify, being on the internet and running outlook and some other small programs.
If I start up a game, the fan's really turn on, even though i've placed the notebook upon a few strips of plastic for more airflow underneath.
It should not get that hot or start the fans in a noisy way just by being turned on and doing simple tasks at an early beginning.
Anyone has a clue about what I can do and why this is happening?

If I was you, I'll uncheck the following processes in your Startup (Oppstart) page:
    - Adobe Reader and Acrobat
    - Dropbox
    - HP Digital Imaging Monitor
    - hpwuSchd Application
    - InstallShield....................(Does this always appear in this page?)
    - Send to OneNote Tool
    - Skype....................(if you're not always use it)
    - Spotify(4)...............(Never used before. Does this application always download/upload something? Like P2P-type BT programs?)
    - Spotify WebHelper
    - Steam Client Bootstrapper
Most of them are not necessarily being loaded every time you boot up.
Only necessary when you want to use those applications.
So I usually disable those pre-loaded processes.
The reason why the temperature and the fan RPM look not related is because all GS60/70 have dual fans, one is for CPU and another is for GPU.
Dragon Gaming Center maybe only shows one of the RPM (not sure CPU or GPU or the highest of them).
So you'll see the CPU is idling but RPM is still as high as that when CPU is busy.
I remember there's new version of Dragon Gaming Center which shows the RPM info of dual fans on its GUI. Maybe it's only provided in other MSI laptop models. Need to find it.
    Thank you for responding
I have now deactivated more programs on the start up boot. I will see how things works out now.
I thought ever1 knew what Spotify was?  Spotify is a commercial music streaming service.
Seems like the install shield always appear there, yes.
I can hear the difference between those fans and also the temperature. The temperature of the GPU and the GPU fan will only be activated when I use a benchmark program.
It's only the right front fan that is making this noise. The left front fan is for the GPU and never turn itself on. Just on startup and when heavily strenghtened by graphics like benchmarking or gaming.

  • MSI GS70 2PE - how to update EC

Today I got my new GS70 Stealth Pro. I know that you have to stick with this: "Don`t fix it, if it ain`t broken" but I have "a need" to update everything
I have updated BIOS, GPU BIOS, touchpad fw. All successfully, but for EC I am afraid to.
But just because of one thing and that is "removing battery for EC reset". As you know, GS70 is totally closed laptop and I really would not open it for now.
Can I flash it without removing battery? Is there any other way to reset EC after upgrading?
    Thank you,
    Miha

    Thank you. I did it
But I still have a problem and that is turbo clock of CPU is still not "available" when on battery. If I run it on battery I only have 2,5GHz, but the moment I plug in AC adapter it goes up to 3,5 GHz.
Is there any fix for that?

  • Graphic display bug on MSI GS70 2PE Stealth Pro

    Hello,
I have a graphic display bug that appears every now and then... Most of the times, it only lasts a few seconds, but sometimes it hangs bugged and I have to reboot the laptop.
I would have like to post a picture of my screen when it's corrupted, but I can't find how to join a .jpg to my message, and I'm not allowed to post an external link neither!
I have updated my drivers; both for the GTX 870M and the Intel HD Graphics chipset... but to no avail!
I hope someone will be able to help me solve the problem!
    Thanks in advance!

  • Fresh Win8.1 Install - MSI GS70 2PE

    Hi everyone,
I installed a SSD mSATA in the beast.
I thought I could just "clone" the HDD to the SSD and tell the BIOS to use the SSD as Primary Hard Drive.
But I can´t tell the BIOS from which drive to start from :( ( if possible you are welcome to explain)
It seems I have to backup my HDD.
Do a Fresh win 8.1 Install on the SSD.
And restore the HDD backup to the SSD.
Does that sound right to you?
If it does can you tell me where I download Win 8.1.
    Thank you

You can try to go to the bios, in boot menu, then go to :
UEFI Hard Disk Drive BBS Pirorities
Inside maybe you have 2 options base on the 2 HDD/SSD with botoable system, I'm not sure but you can try.
If don't work, let the NB choice one and see, maybe he boot on SSD all the time ?
If this don't work, then the other option are to use F11 on computer boot and select your SSD everytime but not nice way.
In that case I suggest to format the HDD and keep as normal HDD, like that should be ok, if this way is not good for you, another idea that I never try are to remove from your HDD (or rename) the folder EFI in "Windows" and then "Boot", maybe it's the one make Windows boot ? I don't know, but if you can find the right folder and rename it, then the computer can't boot on HDD ^^

  • MSI GS70 Stealth Pro 2PE - Burning issue!

Dear MSI forum users, I am here to ask your opinion on my experience with this laptop, for the most part it is a good machine, but I have experienced a few issues...
First off I noticed that the Space bar only worked on the left side of the bar or the middle, pressing from the right never worked and you had to push down hard to get the left side to respond, I thought maybe it's just a defective key, but upon googling I saw that other users were reporting this, I also noticed the trackpad is abysmal and trying to use it for left and right click is useless, luckily you can disable it and use the mouse supplied with the laptop.
Anyway, when I noticed the space bar issue I thought it such an issue that I should RMA the laptop, to see if the bar could be fixed, however the exchange I had with the technical support guy at OCUK (where I bought the laptop from and have been a loyal customer for years) simply said the following "no one else has contact us about a faulty spacebar. It may just be that is how they are designed and a replacement will not fix the issue. Laptop keyboards are not generally the best as they have to be compact and slim to not avoid conflict with other components."
well that to me didn't seem right, having spend £1450 on a laptop you expect the components to be in working order, I had previously purchased 3 x MSI GX740 from them and all of them still work currently, none of them ever having space bar or track pad issues, nevertheless I had to continue with this laptop since they would not repair it.
The laptop has been running OK over the past year, but I have noticed two more very strange occurrences in the operation of it now.
First off, there's a video of the sound it is making, its like there's a fan in there trying to spin up, but falling back down at the last hurdle. THIS HAPPENS CONSTANTLY, from boot to shut down, it doesn't ever stop doing it.
Please search for my channel Daniel Sharpe on you tube as the forum won't let me post external links :S the video is titled MSI GS70 2PE Fan Failure?
now heres something that really concerns me, for my health mainly, the laptop is running so hot it is leaving burn marks on my legs through trousers, I have got a cooling pad now, but even still I NEVER had any issues with heat dissipation on the MSI GX740 models, no cooler needed it sits on my lap fine and does not burn me, but this one does?!
here are some pictures, the left leg is worse, it fades slightly overnight but yesterday it was purple, I spoke to a doctor who said he has never seen anything like it in his life, it looked like chilblains to him but obviously with the opposite cause, his advice was that prolonged use could cause long term damage, but even if I use it for an hour it burns me.
however, here are speed fan temps for idle (with a cooling pad now in place)
and here are  speed fan temps for load
and to top it all off the space bar has now come unclipped from the board and won't go back on properly.
So there we have it, there's a few issues with the laptop, I am mainly worried about the heat and the strange sound coming from one of the fans? (I Think)
please let me know what you think I can do, whether MSI would carry out repairs or something, as a laptop, this clearly isn't fit for purpose, as it can't sit on your lap without burning it!

    Quote from: RX-8 on 09-June-15, 16:11:39
GS series are slim & light models, so their temperature must be high and gathered on the surfaces of the bodies. If you're running demanding apps/games, it's uncomfortable and not recommended to put it on the top of your lap (although it's called a laptop). Some laptops won't have this problem that's just because they are not performance/gaming laptops at all or for office use. Some of the laptops are thick and the temperature was decreased and dissipated by the air flow when the heat propagated to the surface.
The screenshots of the temperature you provided are normal for GS70 2PE. The CPU/GPU temperature did go to such a high temperature (actually their top temperatures are between 100 to 105 before throttling themselves). The surface of the bottm of the laptop may be just several millimeters below the CPU/GPU and thermal pipes, so it's definitely very hot when running CPU/GPU intensive apps/games. If putting on your lap for a long time, it definitely causes the low-temperature burn, like the hazard when attaching some warm bags on your skins for a long time.
Regarding the fan noise & touch problem, I would suggest you insist to ask the service point to inspect, repair or maybe replace them. Fan noise may be due to the quality of the fan after a long period of working, but for keyboard they should have other keyboard parts on which the space problem won't exist. I think this is just a flawed keyboard.
I have a Apple Mac Air in my home and it's very cool, but it can't even run SimCity very well. For GS70 2PE, it's just a piece of cake.
I understand what you are saying in regards to the games and temperature, but it looks more like a design issue to me, the MSI GX740 that I have had for 5 years never burned me and did run most of the latest games at decent settings.
I have dealt with this issue by buying a cooling pad, so I'm satisfied on that front.
I did send a support request to MSI about this computer for the fan, touch pad and keyboard issues, but have received no reply as of yet, is this something I should resend? as I have never contacted them directly for repairs before I am not sure of the process!

  • MacPro Raid Card single drive size limit

OK this is a follow up to a previous question about the upper size limit of a single HD that the Macpro Raid card can address.
It was pointed out to me that "The Apple RAID card cannot address more than 2.2TB of a drive" by Mr. Grant Bennet-Alder. So I am assuming that a 2TB SAS will work.
I plan to RMA the 4TB drive (that was not recognised), so my question is will this drive work instead?
Seagate Constellation ES 2TB 6GB/S SAS 7200RPM 3.5in (ST2000NM0001) Hard Drive  -  setup as JBOD.
It's not that I don't believe what Grant has said, it's just that I don't want to RMA this drive as well, using the old wood working philosophy of 'measure twice, cut once.'
And I spent 2 hr looking for this info on Apple's support site without any luck.

If a Disk Fails If a RAID set or volume becomes degraded because a disk has failed, you can use RAID Utility to identify the disk that needs to be replaced.
Note: If your RAID setup includes a spare drive, it is automatically incorporated into the RAID set, and the set switches from degraded to good as soon as the recovery process finishes. If there is no spare, the set will remain degraded until you replace the failed drive, and if a second drive fails before you replace the first, you could lose data.
    To replace a failed disk:
1  Open RAID Utility, select the RAID set or volume that is displaying a problem status indicator, and look for a drive bay with a red status indicator. The bay numbers in RAID Utility correspond to the numbered drive bays in your Mac Pro or Xserve.
2  Replace the bad drive module.
3  Use the Make Spare command to set up the new drive as a global spare. If no spare was available when the original drive failed, the RAID card uses the new spare immediately to rebuild the affected RAID set and volumes. If a spare was available at the time of the failure, it is already incorporated into the affected RAID set, and the new spare remains available until it is needed.

    MSI GS70 Stealth
The Rise of Ultra-Gaming-Ultrathin Shell + Extreme Performance[/SIZE]

    Hi Eduard
    1. when system is under heavy loading, the CPU temperature could reach almost 9x degree, don't worry, it is normal condition and under Intel CPU specification, once it is over the temp upper limit of CPU, the CPU will turn into throttling automatically
    2. the NVidia OPTIMUS is an automatically function that there is no way to switch on/off
    3. fan noisy when idle mode, normally it should be very quiet because it is dual fans design, if this noisy still bug you, you may find a nearest service center to check this acoustic level for you
    hope that help...

  • MSI GS70 297NE vs 051NE

    Hi
I've been looking at the new GS70 2PE(stealth pro) as a gaming laptop, however there seem to be different models here in Norway.
Some websites have the 051NE and some the 297NE version, they are priced exactly the same, but there are some small differences.
    051NE
    i7-4700HQ 2.4 GHz
    1*128GB SSD
    GTX 870M in specs
    (says GTS 870M in despription)
    297NE
    i7-4710HQ   2.5 GHz
     2*128 SSD
     9 cell battery(false?)
      GTX 870M
    297NE(2nd version of this)
    i7 4700HQ  2.4 GHz(though it says 4710HQ in headline)
     2*128 SSD
    6 cell battery
    GTX 870M
Now, there might simply be that the info on the websites are wrong, but it still seems a bit strange.
I read that the 4710HQ is overall better than the 4700HQ(?).
Would it be wise(and possible) to get the 1st option and put an extra HD(instead of an extra SSD) in that slot to get more storage. Is 128 GB enough for just system files for quick starts and such(64 GB in RAID 1).
    Thanks alot
Sidenote; Is MSI planning a 3K version of this in 17,3" and would that be worth the wait?

Hey there, I'm an owner of a GS70 2PE and I'm not happy with the purchase AT ALL. The thing overheats and throttles the GPU in pretty much every game (even freaking Space Engineers) and I'm no dummy if it comes to cooling, I even purchased a hefty cooling pad which doesn't fix the issue. Other than that just read this thread of all the people with GS7/60s having incredible WiFi issues ranging from dropping out, poor speeds, high pings, uber low speeds (I went through most of these problems myself - all on one driver! HA!) http://dragonarmy.msi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64718&page=3#.U8lK9vldXis .
Atm I highly advise you to rethink your purchase.

  • GS70 2PE only boots to BIOS after flash.

    Hi.
I reinstalled windows 8.1 cause of some problems
Everything was working fine after reinstall, then i found out i wanted to update the BIOS in order to have everything updated.
I downloaded my BIOS file from the site i get all my drives and utilities (MSI webpage)
Which seemed like a good idea.(Well messing around with BIOS usually never is, but at the time it did )
I followed the instructions from the link that was included in the BIOS file. So i did not do anything wrong during the "steps"
At first everything went fine. The flash was succesfull. I restarted and the screen just started flashing. And it wouldn't stop.
It was late so i gave up.
The next day i started the computer the screen didn't flash at all. Now it just wont boot into windows it only boots into the BIOS.
The version on the bios went from 1.1 to 1.2 after i updated.
Does anyone know what i can do to fix it?

    Quote from: sivertsen.jim on 18-February-15, 17:36:14
I need to make a new post cause i cant edit the other 2 for some reason.
I can get through to windows but now its just bugged. every time i log on windows now it acts as if i was logged in with another user when i wasnt.
And EUFI wont let me start the computer at all, and i cant boot anything with the legacy mode activated.
Does anyone have a link to older versions of the BIOS for the GS70 2PE?
laptops can't do backflash :/ doing that will just give you a error saying that this version is older than what current one is installed :/ secondly RAPID thingy you get is because your laptop uses RAID so the intel rapid storage technology or w.e name is will pop up on boot under LEGACY. When RAID is assigned.

Take a look on the cover side, the Dragon Gaming Logo is really fancy and stylish with backlit. Brushed metal design makes the cover looks high quality and solid.
Sound by Dynaudio speaker system, the best famous mobile sound system on this top level GT60 Dominator Pro gaming notebook is really amazing, great on sound detail and real good acoustic of human vocal and great sound stage presents!
We put all the accessories together and boot up to check further detail on GT60 Dominator Pro 3K IPS version! The display quality is vivid.
Let’s take a look on the detail spec., 384GB SSD Super RAID, Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, top level GTX880M 8GB GDDR5 graphics, 32GB RAM. It’s all top level and could use for 3 more years of ultra-quality games!
When first time to use MSI gaming notebooks, you will feel amazing about the SteelSeries keyboard is really good typing feeling and solid based. It comes with multi-color backlit and move the windows key to right side, that really professional design as a gaming notebook keyboard, and the only one with real gaming design.
Take a look in the SteelSeries Engine, the exclusive gaming software only for MSI gaming notebooks. This macro keys software built in Keypress macro, Text macro, 1 key launch program and Disable key function, besides F1~F12, all other keys could be used for macros setup, and 4 layers of keyboards o setup 4 sets of macros with 4 sets of different backlit combinations, so this is really a great software for smarter and stylish gaming experience.
With CPU-Z tool to check, the upgraded Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, TDP 47W, 4 Cores 8 Threads is really great performance, CPU Boost could up to 3.5~3.7GHz.
Because of Core i7 4800MQ and GTX880M, the 3D benchmarks comes with breakthrough scores than ever on the notebook platform, 3D Mark Fire Strike: P5351 pts.
The GT60 Dominator Pro on 3D Mark 11 gains P8461 pts, it’s whole new level of the gaming notebooks, and It’s over 15% faster than GTX780M!
The 3D Mark Vantage boost up to P33115 scores, it’s 14% faster than GTX780M!
Then we check on other software of DirectX11 3D performance, the Heaven Benchmark is world’s 1st software tool to test DirectX11 effects, this time we use Heaven Benchmark version 3.0 to test.
Set the Tessellation on normal to enable DirectX11 effects and run Benchmark, the Full HD resolution could get 78.2 FPS(Frames Per Second) high score result.
Since this GT60 is 3K IPS panel edition, of course we have to try 3K resolution, you could see that the result block is smaller at 2880x1620 resolution, the result is 42.7 FPS with same setup, so we could say that 3K resolution will reduce over 45% of the FPS rate in this test, but GTX880M is too powerful, so still over 40FPS, and most games we need to get over 30 FPS to play and feel smoother, at least 20 FPS to play a game, if lower than 20 FPS, that will makes people feel lag obviously and feel dizzy easily.
Since we tried some benchmark, of course we have to try at least a famous game to the real world experience. Battlefield 4, the biggest FPS game title since end of 2013, is one of the heaviest loading games on PC platform.
First we made Battlefield 4 detail at 1920x1080 with Ultra Graphics Quality setup.
The gaming frames is 46 FPS, really smooth and around 20% faster than GTX780M.
Once we tune up the resolution to 2880x1620, the FPS drops a lot because the Ultra mode also set 4xMSAA (Anti-Aliasing), that will impact the performance a lot in higher resolution, also make graphics memory demand around 3GB~4GB, seems the 8GB GDDR5 with GTX880M is prepared for upcoming games with such as 3K or even higher resolutions!
We could see it’s about 24~28 FPS under 3K resolution with Ultra Graphics Quality, most time it will reduce over 40% FPS rate of the gaming performance.
Seems to set the Battlefield 4 with “High” graphics quality on 2880x1620 resolution is more suitable to play the game smoother in every theme.
It’s about 42 FPS, close to the 1920x1080 Ultra graphics quality. So if we want to play heavy loading games at 2880x1620 resolution, set to High graphics quality setup is a good option for 3K gaming!
After these 3D and gaming tests, let’s take a look on the temperature of the cooling system. The room temperature is 25 degree C, the temperature of fan out part is 71.2 degree C, it’s not a surprise because of GTX880M and Core i7 4800MQ, even it’s a bit lower than most gaming notebooks with this 2 combinations. The palm rest and keyboard side is 30.6 degree C, it’s really cool for users to hands on.
After the fabulous experience of great 3D performance, let’s take a look on the benefits of “Super RAID 2”, normal 2.5” HDD is about 80~100MB/s, single SSD is about 400~550MB/s, BUT, GT60 Dominator Pro boost over 1536MB/s and average is 1477MB/s, that’s 15x faster than single HDD, almost 3x faster than single SSD.
If we check on the AS SSD Benchmark tests, you could see more detail of the storage access performance is amazing, the Sequential read is 1116.76MB/s, write is 786.79MB/s. 4K-64Thrd read is 665.09MB/s, write is 461.18MB/s, it’s ultra fast!
The GT60 Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition comes with Killer Doubleshot LAN and WiFi, it provides faster response time of gaming experience, when you at different LAN/WiFi environment, Killer software will ask you to make an internet speed test, this will fine tune your LAN/WiFi for smoother and faster online experience.
MSI also got a new software tool called “Dragon Gaming Center”, this tool is also good for hardware monitor and utility launch tool. Also could show the status of Hybrid Power enable or disable.
The ultimate weapon for enthusiast gamers:
The GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS version is extremely powerful, it comes with most of the features that a great gaming notebook could have, 3K IPS panel is really great effect of vision quality, SteelSeries keyboard with SSE is amazing for gamers to play their games smarter, Sound By Dybaudio present really good detail sound quality, Killer Doubleshot is faster for online gaming, of course the GTX880M is awesome for gamer to play Full HD even 3K resolution games, the backlit of Dragon logo and keyboard is really beautiful.
    Conclusion:
The overall score I will give this GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition with Super Pack is 95 out of 100, this is really great machine for any hard core gaming or power user usage, I would recommend any one to must-have this notebook if it’s affordable for you!!

Ok either you work for MSI or you changed the settings in 3dmark11. I only scored around 5K with my GT60 2PE 3k. Any idea why I'm scoring 3k below you? Laptop was plugged in btw. Also how can you enter bios settings with this laptop? I suspect that maybe the hybrid gpu thing is affecting my score, and the Pc is probably not fully utilizing the GTX 880M, maybe in bios I can disable the integrated CPU's video card??? Please let me know. Thanks.
