MSI GS70 2QE - No Audio Output/Input Device Installed

I'm using an MSI GS70 laptop and just recently ran into a problem where my audio device suddenly stopped working.
playing GTAV I got the blue screen and reboot, and then this... I believe that the device is turned off like webcam on notebook, we can turn it on by fn + f6, but what about sound?
OS: Windows 8.1 with last updates

May I know how you reset BIOS?  And your BIOS version is?
From your picture, it looks like audio driver conflicts, because there are many audio devices in the device managers.
There is a special reset hole, on the right side. BIOS Version E1773IMS.10D
It's not audio driver conflicts, the system is clean, only drivers from official MSI page.
This is bios side problem,OS reinstallation does not help, only bios reset or flash unlocked bios to be able to enable audio device again.

  • Notebook MSI GS70 2QE Speaker balance problem

I bought a MSI GS70 2QE Stelth Pro Notebook with the 970M video, I would like to know if somebody has the same sound problem with the sound of the build-in speakers.
My problem is that the sound is not properly balanced centrally, it leans to the right side of the computer. And also for example if you adjust the balance slider all the way to the left speaker the sound is still projected to the right side of the monitor/computer and when you move it to the right side the sound is projected correctly to the right.
    Thank you

I think that's because the woofer is close to the right side, actually the left and right speaker sound is even, but when playing particular audio frequency, the extra woofer effect works and would make you misunderstand the right sound is bigger.

  • MSI GS70 2QE - Screen Askew

    Hi,
I bought an MSI GS70 2QE last week. I've noticed the screen is ever so slightly askew, its minor but its offputtng given the price of the laptop. I'm currently in talks with the place I bought it from who are saying they cant see the issue and have contacted MSI who also dont see the issue.
Can any MSI board members comment on the following images.
You'll notice if you zoom in on the left and right lower hand sides of the screen where it sits neatly next to the laptop body there is more of the black bezel showing on the right hand side.

They are saying not. They are happy to take the laptop back and look at it but if they don't see the issue they will return it to me. I've given them the exact photo. Everyone at work can see it etc, but I'm concerned they will see the issue and consider this within manufacturers tolerances. This will mean the laptop will have done a round trip to their office, been inspected and returned, something I don't fancy on a laptop costing over £1600.
I've asked if they will allow m to pay a restocking fee but they don't seem to want to do this either.
The issue is definitely there but I think its a case of whether I'm being too fussy or not. I don't believe I am.

  • New MSI GS70 2QE-066US STEALTH PRO BSOD

I am getting random bsod page fault in nonpaged area on my brand new MSI GS70 2QE-066US STEALTH PRO.  It seems to happen once a day. I am not sure what is going on really i updated the killer network drivers from their website as there was newer ones out than what were on this notebook. I only did that a hour ago so i don't know if it fixed anything or not. I herd the killer driver can cause bsod so i thought i would try.  Other forums lead me to believe it is a ram issue.  I have only install some steam games wow and things like chrome on this notebook so far. I am trying to figure out if it is a hardware or software issue as i just got the notebook and would like to not have to send it in so i can use it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • MSI GS70 2QE-Stealth pro with GTX 970 M. Cant run 3 screens ?

    Hi!
    Got a GS70 Stealth pro 17" with:
    CPU   Intel Core i7 4:e gen. 4710HQ / 2.5 GHz
    GTX970M 3GB
    16 GB RAM
2 x Mini DisplayPort  - Running 2 x adapters that converts hdmi from screen to Mini DosplayPort to the laptop.
1 X HDMI                - Running now 1 x adapter that converts VGA to HDMI.
I just bought 3 Asus VN247H 23,6" / 1ms / 2xHDMI screens to my new laptop. And on the MSI website it says that i can run 3 screens (when the laptop screen is off)
So i tried with 2 x Deltaco mini DisplayPort till HDMI-monitorkabel med ljud, 20-pin ha-19-pin ha, 1m. And 1 HDMI. But i cant run 3 screens. Even if i shut down the laptop screen.
I also tried a adapter called:
Deltaco HDMI till VGA och ljud-adapter 1080p 0,2m (Vit) from VGA to HDMI but still dont work.. It converts VGA from the screen to hdmi to the laptop.
So now i am woundering if i need a "active adapter" like this one:
Sapphire Active mini-DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI Adapter? or is it something else i am doing wrong ? this active adapter costs around 30 euro so its abit cheep? is it the right one?
I would be really really happy if someone could help me out here. It is for my new company =).
    Thanks for your time!

According to that it supports 3 external screens between the Display Port and HDMI ports.
HOWEVER....and I might be wrong about this but....I'm not certain you can use non-active Display Port to HDMI/DVI adapters. What do I mean by non-active? Non-active adapters are passive devices, whereas the active ones will take Display Port and then convert it and provide it's own clock signal as well, which will then allow it to work with HDMI/DVI monitors. This is due to the number of clock generators on the video card board to support the monitors. Most cards only have 2 clock generators for outputs, and therefore you can't just use passive adapters for your Display Port adapters to go to HDMI/DVI.
How do I know this? I used to use (way back a number of years ago) a 3 x 1080P monitor setup, and the video card only supported 2 outputs with clocks, and the 3rd had to be a display port output without a clock. The only way to make it work was to get an active adapter. At the time, the easiest one to obtain was a display port to DVI adapter from Apple actually...I still have it sitting in my box of parts, but it worked very well.
Most likely, that is the true underlying issue, and once you resolve that you will be able to output to 3 external monitors simultaneously.

  • Best audio/video input device

I am trying to find a good choice for my wife's Mac mini. I tried a couple that didn't work and went to the Apple store in Walnut Creek but they were not able to get either of the input devices I brought in to work. They also had none for sale in the store. They suggested searching on the internet but that has not been to successful either. Any mentions of ones that you know work with the Mac mini would be great.
    Thanks
    Jim

If your TV and Laptop both have the VGA socket on i.e it looks the same at both ends, then any VGA monitor cable will do the job, no need for any extras. Easiest thing is to do if possible is pinch a cable off sometning else to test. These cables are not a lot of money so don't be foolded into buying one of those super premium pro cables, it's really not necessary.
Audio wise you only have the headphone jack out on the laptop, and the tv probably has component in (RCA sockets) thats the norm anyway so you need to get a Phono to 3.5mm Stereo Jack lead of sufficint length.
something like this I'd imagine http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=31700&doy=18m8 (sorry its a uk site)
Or if you have a Stereo system especially a surround one then you can rig the audio to that which will be even better
You will need to check the back of the TV or the manual to confirm this. If you took the manual and possibly the laptop into any decent TV store they should be able to sort it out.

  • Hp pavilion zv6000 "no audio output devise is installed"

    Hi
I have a big problem with my HP Pavilion zv6000. It`s a very old notebook but was working fine till i install win7 ultimate.
I understand that HP doesn`t have drivers for win7 but i hope that you will have some decision for me.
The problem is that i don`t have keyboard and no audio output device installed.
When i go to start menu > device manager > i don`t have audio, speakers and sound ( i don`t really remember what was ) and i cannot fix the problem from there. When i go to troubleshooting, cannot find and fix the problem. And i can`t find driver for win7 ultimate for HP pavilion zv6000.
The other problem is my keyboard. I saw some solve problems like this here in the forum i downloading HP QUICK LUNCH BUTTON and i install this but i doesn`t work again. I deinstall this and i install sp44777 again the same no working, and i try is well sp845(something) again recommended by you but it doesn`t work again.
I really don`t know what to do next. Please if have any chance to help me i will be very pleased and happy.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards Mimi

    Hi, Mimi:
Try this audio driver for your notebook. It is for Windows Vista but it should work on Windows 7.

I would try the quick launch button driver made for your machine. They are for Windows Vista so again, they should work on Windows 7.

  • Multiple audio outputs/inputs with OX Yosemite

Hi! I want to use 2 headphones (with each a microphone) at the same time to record a live radio show. However, with OX Yosemite, I can't seam to be able to select more than one output and input simultaneously. Is it possible to do that? If not, what should I do?
    Thank you!
    -Marianne

If you need only multiple destinations, then you don't need to make an aggregate device. Create a Multi-Output Device in the "Audio MIDI Setup utility" (located in the Utilities folder inside the Application folder.
Add any Audio Interface to it. You can rename it if you want and then select that device in the GarageBand Preferences as your Audio Device.
Here is an experts from my manual "GarageBand X - How it Works" where I explain the app a little bit more.
    Hope that helps

  • MSI Gaming G Series Mouse not working with MSI GS70 2QE Stealth Pro

    Hi,
since i bought this notebook I had different troubles with this mouse (included with the notebook)
The mouse often stutters, lags, goes in idle not only in games but also in Windows 8, causing playing FPS being impossible. The pop-up "USB Device Not Recognized" appers sometimes, such as the sound you hear when you plug/unplug any usb device. All latest drivers have been already installed.
I tried to use another mouse and it works perfectly on the GS70. Same time I tried the gaming mouse on another PC and it works perfectly too. So, it's the combination "Gaming Mouse + GS70" that won't work at all.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.

Maybe uninstall and reinstall the drivers without the mouse connected? Are you using a USB hub? I had problems similar to what your describing with a MSI mouse while using a hub, before.

  • Audio losing input device in Captivate 5

Has anybody else been seeing problems with the audio in Captivate 5?  I will record a number of slides, then the audio stops working and reports that there is no audio device.  I have to close Captivate and restart it, and then when I auto-calibrate, it comes up with a completely different volume.
I'm using it on a 64-bit machine with Windows 7.  I'm wondering if the 64-bit is the issue.

I applied a recent Captivate patch a few weeks ago, but experienced no changes in the sound issues we've been reporting here.
I have sent the Captivate 5 development team a sample of a file where two things have been occurring:
Captivate "loses" the audio device every few slides.
On long files, more than a couple of my sound clips have been dropping audio, mostly at the end.
Upon analysis, the team did see the issue, and think that the problem was occurring with very large files.   Is that perhaps the case with those of you who are experiencing sound problems?
They also suggested a workaround for the dropped audio, but it did not correct my issue.  It only caused drops at the beginning of the affected clips instead.
To fix the problem for the current deadline-driven project,, I re-created around affected 20 slides and then, hoping to avoid re-recording the audio,  imported the audio from the problem slide.  That corrected the clipping issue, suggesting that perhaps the cause of the problem is somehow in the code and/or the slide -- and not directly in the MP3 file.
I have a large project coming up, and regrettably, I'm going to use Captivate 4 so I don't risk adding uncompensated troubleshooting time to my work.
The developers are aware of all the sound issues.  I encourage you to continue to report bug issues at their site, and to post any insights here.
I'm very impressed with some of the new UI features and efficiencies in CA 5, but feel that it is critical that the audio be corrected and thoroughly tested on all user hardware platforms.

  • MSI 945GT Speedster A4R Audio Output Jack Detection Problem

    Motherboard: 945GT Speedster A4R (609-9632-01S)
    CPU: T2400 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo
    RAM: 2x 1GB Nanya PC5300 DDR2 667MHz
    Hello,
I've been trying to get two new computers running using these Mobile Core 2 Duo motherboards.  I have had 2 of 3 motherboards exhibit the same problem with detecting audio jack activity - when no activity is actually happening.
In the first failure, the board never worked at all.  It never detected that a jack was plugged in.  In this second one, it worked right for about 2 hours, then flashed some messages saying "Audio Jack has been unplugged", and then it has never worked since.
The Realtek Audio configuration tool now indicates no jack is plugged in when I insert a speaker plug into the light green colored jack.  Conversely, the one board of the three that is working correctly highlights this jack in the software app when it detects the plug.
I hate to keep sending these boards back to the seller, but it looks like I have to send another one back.  Are these boards prone to having audio jack problems?  Is there an easy fix for this?  Is it just a connector problem?
    Thanks,
    James

To reproduce the problem, I just have to leave the machine on for an hour or so.  After the driver is installed, a Realtek Audio applet is constantly running, shown in the bottom right corner of the task bar.  This applet automatically pops up a windows when it detects any jack activity.
Unfortunately, it just pops up (rapidly, about five times in a row) detecting random jack unplugging and plugging in, when I'm not even touching the machine and not running anything (Windows idle).  As soon as I acknowledge the event by clicking 'OK', it pops up another window, and another, until it has finally decided that a jack is not present.  Then the sound no longer functions because it thinks no plug is inserted into the analog output jack.
    Thanks,
    James

I'm unable to reproduce what I'm doing to cause the computer to BSOD but I get 1-2 blue screens daily and I just bought this laptop last month. Every time it BSOD's I get a "PAGE_FAULT_IN_UNPAGED_AREA" as the error code.
I've researched the problem online and some people say it's driver conflicts with MSI's custom software - some say to RMA it.
I'm not sure what to do. Going to try updating the BIOS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can go to MSI official website and update all drives and utilities to latest version.
But remember to unstall old driver from windows control panel before you install new one.
Or you can just try F3 recovery to restore the OS to factory default.
