MSI GT60 2OD "Reagentc.exe set RE image false"

Hello,
I have received cd recovery from msi and I want to format my computer.
At about 40min in the installation, a error appear "Reagentc.exe set RE image false". What should I do?
Thank you in advance,
ps: Sorry about my bad english, I'm french

Hard to say what the real problem is in this case.
Did you delete any partitions on the hard drive? Has the partition structure changed at all? That can cause problems with everything if you do that.

I went to this page
MSI Global GT60 2OD
I did download the file w8_E16F4IMS.50E.zip AHCI Bios then flashed the bios file using the flash utility afuwinx64.exe provided in the folder. I typed at the DOS command window inside windows 8 x64 the command afuwinx64.exe E16F4IMS50E after that the fans of notebook made noise and at the DOS window showed OK DONE for all steps of flashing. Then i shut down windows 8 . Power the notebook hit del enter the New flashed bios hit f9 for optimal settings then  save changes and restart. After the restart black screen. What did i made wrong?
You need to use included "FLASHWIN.BAT" [which contain all required parameters] to flash it,
else your notebook will be bricked.

• MSI GT60-2OD Unboxing & Benchmarks

Hey guys, finally got my new GT60 from GentechPC and here are some unboxing photos :D
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
----Unboxing & Review----
Unboxing:
First of all the packaging:
-Your new GT60-2OD will ship in a double box that's slimmer and sleeker then the previous gen's packaging.
-I think MSI definitely upped their packaging, it looks more sleek and professional than the previous gen's packaging, especially the black interior as you open the box.
-The whole notebook is covered with an MSI Gaming Series black cloth to protect it against scratching during shipping.
-As for accessories, you'll find:
        +Battery
        +Power adapter
One major improvement  I really liked is the 'right-angle' power cord so that should avoid damaging your power plug
+Quick start guide & driver cds
        +Exclusive Gaming Series Sticker
-Here's the notebook in the protective cloth and out of the box:
-As you remove that, you'll find the screen covered with another white cloth:
-Remove that, and you'll find your awesome brand new GT60:
-One thing I loved about the screen is that they replaced the glossy bezel with a matte one, which is much less distracting and less suspect to scratching . MSI is really listening to its customers!
-Here are the stickers you'll find:
-Different sides of the notebook:
-Touch bar changed a bit, we now have a media button instead of turbo (which is automatic now :D), cooler boost, backlight control, airplane mode instead of wireless( which is a nice addition consider the mobility of this notebook), screen off, and a G button instead of the eject(useless). The G button brings you a control panel i which you can control your wireless/bluetooth/power mode/brightnes/camera...etc. It also has a special easter egg inwhich if you press it when the computer boots it keeps the processor overclocked
- MSI also added an LED indicator on the camera :as requested by many :D :D
-Here are some pictures of the amazing steelseries backlit keyboard:
-Finally, lets take a look under the hood (the most important part :D):
-SuperRAID 2 :D
-Adapter removed:
Here's the cooling system(note the bridge between cpu & gpu):

• MSI GT60 - 2OD - Audio problems, Laptop not recognizing audio jacks and speakers

I tried to redirect the sound from my TV to the laptop in order to use my bluetooth headset.
It worked, but after turning my tv off, I continued using the headset normally.
But when I turned off my headset, the speakers stopped working and the laptop doesnt recognize any áudio inputs.
I already unninstalled the drivers, even installed my Win 8 from scratch, but nothing seems to work.
Does anybody have an idea of what is going on, or how i can fix it?

Latest driver version, I downloaded through the MSI website.
This is the first time that something like this has happened, the line is isn't set as default.
And also, when I open the Realtek HD Audio Manager, all the jacks are grayed,
At least my bluetooh headset still works.

• GT60 2od GTX780M Turbo Modus

Hello,
first of all I wanna say that this is a awesome forum! im glad to be here!
I just bought a notebook from MSI with a GTX780M inside..
and well I am not quite happy with this Turbo 2.0 or how ever its called.
I mean the technique which just activates different p stages for different "needs"
In my opinion this isn't working proper to begin with.
And why I anyways need this when I got a Intel 4000 graphics chip for the "energy saving mode"
how ever... lets get to my problem.
1) when I play a game (for example BF3) the GPU dose underlock even at the P8 stage ... its just will give me full turbo boost when I activate AA in the BF3 ingame settings.
But why? I want ALWAYS MOST OUT OF MY CARD even the chip dose think its enough power lol... I want every MHz even I just play poker (joking) I should be the last instance to decide!!! im the master of my hardware lol... am I ?
2) I did notice another problem. When I take out my battery pack I wont get high MHz even when I play BF4 ...
Dose the MSI notebook need the Battery energy and wire to activate the GTX780M proper for high demanding games????? this would be ridiculous.... why not building a PSU which can take the high demand!??!???
Because usually I try to not put in a battery pack to save the live spawn of it.
3) ah and one more thing... I am locked at 135 MHz for overclocking. Is it worth to patch the bios to get higher or will I anyways wont get much more out of the gtx?
anyways now my question .. is there any way I can change all this? or do I have to live with it?
thanks so much for reply already.

1)
sorry I was doing a mistake. I ment:
The GTX780M dose not fully clock high even in mode P0 when I don't turn on AA in games as BF3 ... I guess its when the app dose not generate 100% graphics demand. but I like to decide my self when the GPU turns into power mode and when not.
to ur questions :
I use Nvidias newest official driver
Its reduced 100 MHz to 797 Mhz but in stage P0....
gpu max 74 degree cpu 69 degree while heavy load BF4 Ultra
I got MSI GT60 2OD
I play always with cord and battery
yes I am standart on MAX PERFORMANCE .
then that's normal its boost 2.0, if conditions allows it will boost more.

2) so this means notebooks with GTX780M need always hybrid to get full power out of the GPU ? why would they not just build in a better PSU ? bit odd to me. Well first I travel a lot and would love to reduce 500 gram luggage in leaving the battery at home. Second I don't wanna waste my battery so fast.
battery is not wasted when is installed, its not always charging but only if its drop until specified %,
usually below 95%
its safe to use your battery installed

• MSI Global GT60 2OD 3K IPS Edition - GPU UPGRADE?

Hello guys,
I have just bought a GT60 2OD and was wondering, if the GPU was removable and possibly upgrade-able when the next 800* series GPU's are out?
Also, is anyone able to tell me if my warranty is void if I repaste the GPU and CPU?
Thanks,

Is it upgradeable? Most likely, yes. It really depends on what card you get, and a few other factors like cooling, heat, power consumption, etc.....as well. But most likely it is upgradeable.
The warranty should not be void if you repaste the GPU and CPU, as long as you don't mess anything up in the process. If you break something while it's open, then it's on you.

• I think there is a bug in the new ec bios for gt60 2OD(ver1513)

I have put a post on:
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=182144.0
The Post:
I have bought a GT60 2OD-063CN. I download the new ec bios from the official site , the version is 1513(the stock version is 16f4EMS1 ver 5.04)
And i follow the offical instruction and unrar the files and use ecwin.bat to update the ec.
Now it is the problem.
It seems if I use the ecwin.bat, then the system will use 16f4EMS1 ver713 which is in the 353x document.
After update the v713 ec, the touch function(fan, back light etc.) is misfunctioned.
And I manually use the 16f4EMS1 ver 513 ec which is in the 352x document to update, now it seems the touch function is worked again.
So I wonder what is the differences between the 2 ec bios and what is the mechanism for ecwin.bat to judge which ec should be used?
After all the auto "ecwin.bat" file will lead you into 353x and use the wrong ec.
PS: the system is the stock win8. I have take away the barttery to reset the ec.
It seems some people faced the same problem. I hope msi could correct the ec bios update.

I'm having the issue on my GT70 2PE that backlight is not working before the Steel series engine drivers is loaded.
The firmware that I have flashed is w8_1763EMS1.513 and it flashed 353x because SB_DetectToolWin32.exe reported errorlevel 3.
As I know the backlight keyboard does not light on until SteelSeries Engine is loaded.

• MSI GT60 Dominator 424 - Low Frame Rates

Hi fellow MSI fans!! Just got my MSI GT60 Dominator 424 packed with 4800MQ and the nvidia GTX870M.Sadly i noticed very low fps on all games. Battery mode set a high performance. GPU selected as 870M and not the intel while gaming. GPU setting all set to optimal values(No AA or Vsync).
Dota 2 : 65-75 Fps
Starcraft 2 HoS : 35-65 fps
Only 2 games tried so far. In game settings - Ultra with no AA.
Is there an fps limitation in the nvidia Drivers or is something else wrong??
Not able to enjoy gaming :( My other laptop with gtx560M performs better

Quote from: martinkyle20;103768
I tried the msi driver no difference in performance from the latest driver, Also repasted the GPU & CPU with IC Diamond 24 to reduce heat and fan noise got about 3-5 degree improvement (90c) while using FurMark. 800 series isn't living up to its reputation
Try to set the ‘javaw.exe’ to run on NVIDIA GPU. This will improve the FPS of Minecraft.
Minecraft is running by ‘javaw.exe’ and since it’s not actually a game's .exe file, NVIDIA Control Panel can't detect it and it'll be running by Intel GPU.

• GT60 2OD 3K IPS Edition help.

I'm looking for the GT60 2OD 3K IPS EDITION, as the thread title states. After a week long search and investigation process, I've come to the assumption that the GT60 2OD-261US and the GT60 2OD 3K IPS Edition are the same machine? Is anyone more knowledgeable than I, able to clarify that for me?
Now I've talked to several MSi resellers, and recently I've exhaustively searched literally every link in 'Where to Buy' section of MSi global and regional sites, with no luck on either model. So far: XoticPC says they don't suspect that the two are the same model, they have never carried the '3K IPS Edition' model, and they are fairly sure that the '261US' (that they did carry shortly, but are now out of) did not have an IPS display. GentechPC also feels that the two are separate models but they believe both have IPS panels regardless and are similarly spec'ed. They go on to say that the new GT60 Dominator 3K and 'DomPro 3K' have the same IPS panels as the previous 3K models and that I should check those out (a possibility, if they can be confirmed to have the same display), although I'm none too crazy about the 800m series GPUs. Lastly, a few other sites (ExCaliburPC, Pro-Star) feel that the two machines are the same model but they are out of stock (along with the rest of North American resellers, e-sellers) and won't be getting new stock in.
So to sum it all up, if anyone can answer any of the questions above, or confirm the possibility that the new Dominator 3K models share the same display as the previous models, possibly as a refresh to those models. I'd be interested in ending my search, and although I'm not too crazy about the under performing GTX 800m series and the added $1000 to the price tag, I would consider going with the new models.

Sure, it's 3K IPS only, non of 3K TN. Even you paly games with lower resolution,
the IPS image quality is still great and more vivid to present alive colors!

Sound by Dynaudio speaker system, the best famous mobile sound system on this top level GT60 Dominator Pro gaming notebook is really amazing, great on sound detail and real good acoustic of human vocal and great sound stage presents!
We put all the accessories together and boot up to check further detail on GT60 Dominator Pro 3K IPS version! The display quality is vivid.
Let’s take a look on the detail spec., 384GB SSD Super RAID, Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, top level GTX880M 8GB GDDR5 graphics, 32GB RAM. It’s all top level and could use for 3 more years of ultra-quality games!
When first time to use MSI gaming notebooks, you will feel amazing about the SteelSeries keyboard is really good typing feeling and solid based. It comes with multi-color backlit and move the windows key to right side, that really professional design as a gaming notebook keyboard, and the only one with real gaming design.
Take a look in the SteelSeries Engine, the exclusive gaming software only for MSI gaming notebooks. This macro keys software built in Keypress macro, Text macro, 1 key launch program and Disable key function, besides F1~F12, all other keys could be used for macros setup, and 4 layers of keyboards o setup 4 sets of macros with 4 sets of different backlit combinations, so this is really a great software for smarter and stylish gaming experience.
With CPU-Z tool to check, the upgraded Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, TDP 47W, 4 Cores 8 Threads is really great performance, CPU Boost could up to 3.5~3.7GHz.
Because of Core i7 4800MQ and GTX880M, the 3D benchmarks comes with breakthrough scores than ever on the notebook platform, 3D Mark Fire Strike: P5351 pts.
The GT60 Dominator Pro on 3D Mark 11 gains P8461 pts, it’s whole new level of the gaming notebooks, and It’s over 15% faster than GTX780M!
The 3D Mark Vantage boost up to P33115 scores, it’s 14% faster than GTX780M!
Then we check on other software of DirectX11 3D performance, the Heaven Benchmark is world’s 1st software tool to test DirectX11 effects, this time we use Heaven Benchmark version 3.0 to test.
Set the Tessellation on normal to enable DirectX11 effects and run Benchmark, the Full HD resolution could get 78.2 FPS(Frames Per Second) high score result.
Since this GT60 is 3K IPS panel edition, of course we have to try 3K resolution, you could see that the result block is smaller at 2880x1620 resolution, the result is 42.7 FPS with same setup, so we could say that 3K resolution will reduce over 45% of the FPS rate in this test, but GTX880M is too powerful, so still over 40FPS, and most games we need to get over 30 FPS to play and feel smoother, at least 20 FPS to play a game, if lower than 20 FPS, that will makes people feel lag obviously and feel dizzy easily.
Since we tried some benchmark, of course we have to try at least a famous game to the real world experience. Battlefield 4, the biggest FPS game title since end of 2013, is one of the heaviest loading games on PC platform.
First we made Battlefield 4 detail at 1920x1080 with Ultra Graphics Quality setup.
The gaming frames is 46 FPS, really smooth and around 20% faster than GTX780M.
Once we tune up the resolution to 2880x1620, the FPS drops a lot because the Ultra mode also set 4xMSAA (Anti-Aliasing), that will impact the performance a lot in higher resolution, also make graphics memory demand around 3GB~4GB, seems the 8GB GDDR5 with GTX880M is prepared for upcoming games with such as 3K or even higher resolutions!
We could see it’s about 24~28 FPS under 3K resolution with Ultra Graphics Quality, most time it will reduce over 40% FPS rate of the gaming performance.
Seems to set the Battlefield 4 with “High” graphics quality on 2880x1620 resolution is more suitable to play the game smoother in every theme.
It’s about 42 FPS, close to the 1920x1080 Ultra graphics quality. So if we want to play heavy loading games at 2880x1620 resolution, set to High graphics quality setup is a good option for 3K gaming!
After these 3D and gaming tests, let’s take a look on the temperature of the cooling system. The room temperature is 25 degree C, the temperature of fan out part is 71.2 degree C, it’s not a surprise because of GTX880M and Core i7 4800MQ, even it’s a bit lower than most gaming notebooks with this 2 combinations. The palm rest and keyboard side is 30.6 degree C, it’s really cool for users to hands on.
After the fabulous experience of great 3D performance, let’s take a look on the benefits of “Super RAID 2”, normal 2.5” HDD is about 80~100MB/s, single SSD is about 400~550MB/s, BUT, GT60 Dominator Pro boost over 1536MB/s and average is 1477MB/s, that’s 15x faster than single HDD, almost 3x faster than single SSD.
If we check on the AS SSD Benchmark tests, you could see more detail of the storage access performance is amazing, the Sequential read is 1116.76MB/s, write is 786.79MB/s. 4K-64Thrd read is 665.09MB/s, write is 461.18MB/s, it’s ultra fast!
The GT60 Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition comes with Killer Doubleshot LAN and WiFi, it provides faster response time of gaming experience, when you at different LAN/WiFi environment, Killer software will ask you to make an internet speed test, this will fine tune your LAN/WiFi for smoother and faster online experience.
MSI also got a new software tool called “Dragon Gaming Center”, this tool is also good for hardware monitor and utility launch tool. Also could show the status of Hybrid Power enable or disable.
The ultimate weapon for enthusiast gamers:
The GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS version is extremely powerful, it comes with most of the features that a great gaming notebook could have, 3K IPS panel is really great effect of vision quality, SteelSeries keyboard with SSE is amazing for gamers to play their games smarter, Sound By Dybaudio present really good detail sound quality, Killer Doubleshot is faster for online gaming, of course the GTX880M is awesome for gamer to play Full HD even 3K resolution games, the backlit of Dragon logo and keyboard is really beautiful.
Conclusion:
The overall score I will give this GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition with Super Pack is 95 out of 100, this is really great machine for any hard core gaming or power user usage, I would recommend any one to must-have this notebook if it’s affordable for you!!

Ok either you work for MSI or you changed the settings in 3dmark11. I only scored around 5K with my GT60 2PE 3k. Any idea why I'm scoring 3k below you? Laptop was plugged in btw. Also how can you enter bios settings with this laptop? I suspect that maybe the hybrid gpu thing is affecting my score, and the Pc is probably not fully utilizing the GTX 880M, maybe in bios I can disable the integrated CPU's video card??? Please let me know. Thanks.
