MSI GT640 Free gaming mouse not installing

First of all I apologize if this problem has been fixed somewhere or if I posed this in the wrong section. I have searched for any solutions but I failed to find any. My knowledge about computers and software is very small too so my best bet was the forums I thought.
About two years ago I bought the MSI GT640 gaming laptop. Here are the specifications:

I got the notebook with a free mouse. It looks somewhat like this, the only thing different is that my mouse seems to be more shiny and doesn't have that tiny arrow on the left mouse button.
There is no model number or whatsoever. On top of the mouse it only says MSI and on the bottom there's a sticker saying: MSI Gaming Mouse P/N S12-0400690-AA3 Made in China.
Two years ago the mouse didn't work for some reason so I ended up using a regular Microsoft mouse connected by USB. It installed automatically and worked perfectly until it started disconnecting and reconnecting especially during gaming. The scroll wheel made out of rubber is coming off as well.
I thought it was about time I gave the MSI Gaming Mouse another shot and so I plugged it in the USB port and yet again it won't install. If I turn the mouse over the red light laser is on, though the mouse pointer is not moving at all.
When I go to Control Panel it says there was no mouse found and it keeps saying that both mouse drivers are up to date, which is weird because the versions are from 2006. It totally denies to install any mouse driver update because it claims to be up to date.
I would like to use the mouse because it feels good in my hand and let's face it; I'm just a poor student so if it's possible to get this mouse working I would really like to refrain from spending money on a new mouse.
Is there any solution to this problem that I failed to come across?

As another mouse works seems it is just faulty. It's just USB, if it doesn't work when plugged into any of the USB ports there's no magic trick to get it to.

MSI Z97-G45 Gaming can not POST or enter BIOS but has display

First post here and sadly a technical one. I just bought the following hardware:
- MSI Z97-G45 GAMING MoBo (no idea on BIOS since I cannot enter it at all)
- Intel Core i5 4690K s1150
- 16GB (2x8GB) Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Dual/Quad Channel Kit [PV316G160C9K]
- Corsair CX750M PSU
and installed the hardware with the following old hardware that I am carrying over:
- 2 X Hitachi 1TB Sata HDD
- 2 X GTX 275 SLI
To begin with, my existing drives were setup as RAID 0 and has a installed Windows 7 64-bit on there already. I unregistered the Product key before taking it all apart with the idea of registering it again once the new hardware was all together.
So basically, when I received all the new parts yesterday and put them all in. Upon powering on, I see the MSI Dragon logo fullscreen with the option to press DEL or F11. I let it continue without pressing any key to see how it goes. After the dergaon logo, all I get is "Missing Operating System" at the top which did not really worry me and I assumed it would be realted to the Raid not setup (right?)
So I rebooted the PC and decided to press DEL to enter BIOS. However, every time I want to enter the BIOS the screen turns black! The display is still functional though from what I can tell (the display does not lose signal).
Following that, I reset the CMOS from behind by pressing the button with a pen tip. Starting the PC again now gives me a display of all my hardware that it detected (correct CPU, Correct amount of ram, correct HDD etc...). It also gives me two options... F1 to Enter setup or F2 to Continue. Pressing F1 displays the text "Entering Setup..." at the bottom but again it fails to enter the BIOS (it freezes on the above screen - does not turn black this time) and choosing F2 to Continue freezes as well.
I have tried to boot up with the following changes:
- No GPU and use on board VGA only
- One stick of ram in multiple slots
- No HDDs connected at all
- I've checked the CPU to make sure no bent pins
- Reconnected the PSU cables into the motherboard
I should also mention that when I test it on the bare minimum (CPU, PSU, 1 stick of ram) I get A9 in the lower corner before the dragon logo appears.
Right now I am out of ideas and any suggestions would be helpful or at least some insight in what problems I described may indicate. Thanks!

Also, you may want to check your CPU seating again and carefully inspect the CPU socket pins to ensure that none were bent or are not making proper contact

Yeah I didn't really expect to have too much luck with the original windows 7 installation but I had no choice since my last computer failed to power on (faulty PSU I suspected).
However, as you also mentioned, I do not think it would prevent me from reaching the BIOS setup.
Hopefully the above serial can make some sense for you but I do recall some sort of date after a CMOS reset at the top... I think it was 21 April or May 2014 or so. This was next to the following: E7821IMS v2.0.
Once I get home, I will try a few things like you suggested but trying to get as much info as I can before I get home so I have a few things to try.

EDIT - as a side note, I also contacted the Online Retailer I got it from and the first response from them was that the DEBUG "A9" code meant it was the RAM not fully inserted. That is another thing I have to be 100% sure of but I am fairly sure it was fully clicked in on both sides... but you never know!

Wireless mouse not installed in windows (bootcamp)

My magic mouse is working fine on my iMac.
But in Windows the mouse is found but not installed. The wireless keyboard, however, is working all right but a small yellow triangle is visible.
Any suggestions?

Did you download the Windows Support software when you used Bootcamp Assistant? Then did you install the Windows Support software from within Windows?

Hi all,
I setup my new system using msi z77a-g4, i5 2500k and 8gb corsair ram.
It was working fine I was watching a movie when suddenly the system hanged
even after somtime when it was still in hanged state and nothing was working
i restarted by pressing the restart button .... after that it's not even posting.
CPU fan keeps on moving but the display is just blank even keyboard lights are not coming up
Just noticed it seems it's restarting after every few seconds ... guessing this by change in the color of mouse led.
Please help ... i tried to reset the bios by using JBAT1 but still no results

MSI TI4800SE VTD8X driver will not install

There is another thread about this issue, but it doesn't seem to address my problem. I'm assembling a computer. Throughout the assembly, the screen has not been right. In DOS mode, some of the letters are misshapen; some have descenders, strange marks attached to the bottom of the letters, In WinXP, the screen has multicolored vertical stripes, and the screen is sometimes broken up into blocks, with some blocks missing or out of place. I could read it well enough to get WinXP installed, thinking it was probably just a driver problem. However, I can't install the driver. It acts like it's going to install, then the machine reboots. I have used the MSI online update to update all of the mainboard drivers. I'm sure there's something I'm overlooking, but I don't know what. Help will be appreciated.

Try the Vid Card in another comp and see if you can duplicate the problem. I want to see if the problem is the Vid Card or the AGP Slot itself. Once we know that, we will worry about getting the lastest nVidia ForceWare Drivers to install.

MSI GeForce2 GTS Drivers will not install

When trying to upgrade drivers for MSI 8815 VGA (GeForce2 GTS) using either the Nvidia or MSI download Windows 98 stops booting and displays this error in the dos screen:
While initializing device IOS:
ERROR: Real mode system memory allocation failed.
I have tried all the drivers available for Nvidia cards and nothing will install later than version 21.85. I don't have any versions later than that except what is available now for download.
Is there any way to get around this problem?

No, but RAM is 512MB though I don't have any problems with the cache size, etc. or recognizing all the RAM. I considered testing removing one of the sticks of ram just long enough to install the video drivers but wonder whether the same problem would happen as soon as the stick was put back in. The note on Microsoft web site refers to Windows ME and the cache size which again don't seem to be a problem here.

USB Keyboard with trackpoint: mouse not installing...

Hi everyone
My new external keyboard seems to install ok (and works) but the mouse (trackpoint) doesn't. Under in control panel under mouse the USB trackpoint comes up and I can play with the settings but it has no effect.
Cannot install the mouse (trackpoint), "a service installation section in this INF is invalid". When I've tried re-installing the drivers it says that it isn't compatible with XP.
I'm running a thinkpad sl500 on XP.
I've tried the newest drivers I could find (2006) on the lenovo website.
Can someone please help?

I tried to connect it in front panel too, it doesn't work too...

Are you using Windows 7 64bit?? Did you install all the drivers in the CD???
Is the audio sound working properly??
Which particular port did you try to plug the Microphone and how did you test your microphone?

Dragon Gaming center not Installing

I went to go update it, but when i run it now i get a message of " The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x951e606c.
Any help is appreciated.

My suggestion is to make sure you have completely remove old Dragon Gaming center from Windows control panel before you install new version. And better to get Dragon Gaming center from the same model name web page.

I have a macbook pro retina display and a gaming mouse and i can't play with it

Im not sure where to even start. I did watch a youtube video that suggested cpu ration 46 and cpu core voltage 1.220 but I get a BSOD

Start upping your voltage, my chip needs [email protected] and for stability at 4.4 it needs 1.38.
Those guys on YouTube definitely got a better chip
Once you get enough voltage to boot into windows without bsod start stability testing. Make sure to set volts to override

MSI Gaming G Series Mouse not working with MSI GS70 2QE Stealth Pro

Hi,
since i bought this notebook I had different troubles with this mouse (included with the notebook)
The mouse often stutters, lags, goes in idle not only in games but also in Windows 8, causing playing FPS being impossible. The pop-up "USB Device Not Recognized" appers sometimes, such as the sound you hear when you plug/unplug any usb device. All latest drivers have been already installed.
I tried to use another mouse and it works perfectly on the GS70. Same time I tried the gaming mouse on another PC and it works perfectly too. So, it's the combination "Gaming Mouse + GS70" that won't work at all.
Any ideas?

Maybe uninstall and reinstall the drivers without the mouse connected? Are you using a USB hub? I had problems similar to what your describing with a MSI mouse while using a hub, before.

MSI Gaming App Not Working - Fails to open after install - Want to use OC mode

Hi, well today I just recovered my GPU from a near fry using MSI Afterburner. Luckily, with help from a moderator on this site, I was able to get it working again. I thought I fried it trying to OC it. I simply want to be able to switch between the modes it is supposed to come with. I have a MSI R9 290, and it is supposed to be equiped with 3 easy "one click" toggling between OC modes, 1007MHz, Gaming mode, 974MHz, and Silent Mode, 947MHz.
I cannot figure out how to switch between these modes. I used Afterburner and nearly fried my card. I was told not to use that, that is for advanced users, to use instead the (supposed to be bundled, but was not included in my install) MSI Gaming App, to easily switch between the 3 different modes. I downloaded the MSI Gaming App (http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/gamingApp.zip) and installed it. When I tried to run it I get this error:

So what does this mean, that the Gaming App is not supported by Windows 7 64Bit Professional (which is what I have)?
Am I doing something wrong, did I install the wrong application. I could not find any others however.
So I damn near fried my GPU trying to use Afterburner to OC my GPU, and I am very hesitant to try using it again. At this point, I have not even reinstalled Afterburner as I fear it might, just by installing, screw me up again.
What should I do, is there anything I CAN do?

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming, sound from USB mouse?

Hi!
I have some issue from my new computer, see spec below.
For the information I have a MSI Z87-G45 motherboard.
I have some sound that occurs sometimes (specially during the first 2-5 minutes) when i move the mouse around.
It occurs as well sometimes when I been using the computer for a while, basically random just more frequently at the start-up.
It's hard to know from where the sound occurs, could be PSU but today I read something on another forum about the motherboard I'm using:
- Higher sound quality using USB, thanks to special adapted current power.
So i wounder if this can be the case? Is that the reason why i get this noise from inside the computer?
Is there some way to disabled this "feature" in BIOS?

The sound sounds like the old mechanics hdd kinda.
It comes inside the computer, not the speakers.
My feelings is that it can be the PSU as well, just wanted to check this first, since it most often comes when i move my mouse.
