MSI GT70 0ND-219US Bios settings for fastest cpu, and maybe gpu performance?

What is the best BIOS's settings (I have the unlocked BIOS)
For overclock cpu on startup and GPU

Honestly? Stock. There's little to no performance gain overall for the CPU.
You can't change the GPU performance from the BIOS.
If you're asking these types of questions, you're probably better off not changing anything without doing a TON of research first. There's plenty of website out there that detail what you can do, and why, and how it really isn't very effective (especially in the mobile space) just because you can't increase it as much as you can on the desktop space (in some cases).
Unless you have upgraded the CPU from the 3610 that was originally installed in your laptop, overclocking is really pointless.

  • Best BIOS settings for Kt3 Ultra2 and Geforce4?

    Hi,
Can someone tell me what the best BIOS settings would be for my KT3 Ultra2 running a Geforce4 ti4200?
I get crappy scores in 3dMark2001 SE and I have the infamous stuttering/crashing problems in 3D games.  I've tried pretty much every configuration of settings and drivers I can think of.
I saw on these forums that the Kt3 Ultra2 can be a bit fussy with GF4 cards.  If someone could post the best BIOS settings for performance and stability I'd be eternally grateful.
Alternatively, email me at [email protected] with them.
    Thanks in advance

  • MSI GT70 0ND-219US + key half stuck

Hi to all the respected members of the MSI forum. I have encountered a problem with my + key on the right side. The single large key just up of enter. The key is loose & kind of detached from the down. But from the upside is firmly attached. The problem is that when I press it doesn't presses all the way down due to which sometimes the action of the key is not performed. I tried removing the key gently & then reattaching it but it did not detach & I didn't apply much force because I got scared that I might break it  . Can any of the respected members please help me in this. Please please. Looking forward to any helpful reply. Thanks in advance to all

Thanks Sir for the reply  . So the whole keyboard should be replaced. A single key cannot be fixed. Is a new keyboard expensive?
A the moment the + key doing the job 97%. Just a bit raised from the bottom. Should I keep it until it keeps on going ?
I think the keyboards run around $80 to $100 USD. Rather expensive to be quite honest. I'd live with it until it busts, and hope you can find one when it finally does bust.

  • Request Unlocked BIOS for MSI GT70 0ND

Please HELP! I'm in need of the unlocked BIOS for my MSI GT70 0ND Laptop. Mostly for the virtualization.
    My current BIOS - E1762IMS.30M & EC Version - 1762EMS1 Ver 4.05.
Could you PLEASE help me? Also, how much do I need to donate to make this happen?
    Thanks in advance! Russell.

Hate to bump up a new thread, but I am also in need of virtualization.  I'll happily send a donation also.  I tried MSI's bios update, which won't run on 32 bit systems(generates an error). It also won't run on 64 bit systems (only runs on 32 bit systems).  I can't believe that MSI put out a laptop and disabled virtualization.  I wish that they would have made that clear before I purchased a laptop with 32 GB's of RAM.
You have to use proper way to flash the BIOS like by following this msi guide:
    http://www.msi.com/html/pdf/How_to_make_a_bootable_flash_disk_and_to_flash_BIOS_f.pdf
or even more simplest with >>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<

  • Initial Bios settings for K8N Diamond

Hi.  I have a K8N Diamond with AMD 64 4000+ CPU and 2 x 512MB Dual Channel OCZ Platinum PC-3200 (CL 2-2-2-5 400 MHz).   Should the moetherboard detect most of the default settings for the CPU and memory or do they have to be manually configured ?
    Thanks,
    Stuart

Normally the board takes the best settings by default for stability, you can tune them, but the difference in speed is very little to none.
However, if you want to OC, you must change the settings.

  • MSI GT70 0ND BIOS unlock request for intel vt-x virtualization

Hi, I'd like to request an unlocked bios for an MSI GT70 0ND.
I'm trying to enable intel VT-X virtualization, so I tried the official bioses as indicated here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=158790.0
However neither of the windows 7 64bit bioses seemed to change anything, although the 30U version reactivated the raid settings which I had set to ahci.
I should also mention that the guide for flashing the bios on the official page indicated that after flashing the bios and waiting 15 seconds with no power and battery out, that there would be a screen saying 'CMOS Checksum Bad' but this didn't happen. It simply turned off again really quick, and restarted with seemingly the exact same bios. However I know it did something because with the 30U version the raid options were re-enabled.
Looking furthur I found this thread: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=160434.0
Indicating that I should request an unlocked bios.
I've already sent svet a donation. The confirmation is : 83957137919249941
Svet, Can you please make for me a custom bios with as many things enabled as possible including Intel VT-X?

Hello, what is your current BIOS version?

  • MSI GT70 0ND-622AU - Accessing BIOS/Finding Windows Product Key

    Hi,
Looking for answers to the following questions on my MSI GT70 0ND-622AU please.
    1. How do I access the BIOS? There's no "Press blah for setup" prompt when powering on. Only an MSI screen.
    2. How can I locate my Windows 8 Product Key. There's no stickers on these laptops including under the battery. I'd like to install an SSD as the primary drive and assume I'll be needing it to install the OS.
    Thanking you in advance

Per Microsoft's new rules, the key must be embedded inside of BIOS, which will only activate with matching edition.
You can use http://rweverything.com/ to check your ACPI -> MSDM to find out what your key is.
However, if you still cannot activate your OS then you will need use recovery DVDs to restore the OS back to the stock one.

  • Bios Settings For MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum MB

If anyone has seen any, please post them. or post a link.

Well that depends on the installed CPU and memory, doesnt it? So I find that question kinda odd.
One thing though: Dont use Cool n Quiet.

  • MSI GT70 0ND - Upgrading Video card

Hello! I currently own an MSI GT70 0ND with a gtx 675m gpu in it. Im looking into upgrading it to the 770m which I was told should fit fine. Thats mainly my question here, does anyone know for sure if the 770m will fit properly with the heat sync? The cards are identical aside from the Chip themselves on the board. I'd like to assume all would be well considering the 770m's chip is slightly smaller in width.
Thank you for any information :D

Laptopvideo2go. it's the Place to get video drivers when others fail; all new hardware gets added to the infs instantly when revealed.
    NVIDIA_DEV.11E0 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M" is supported in the latest inf;
    download http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/335.23/335.23-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql.exe
and unzip it into a drawer.
    download modified inf http://laptopvideo2go.com/infs/335series/33523_win8x64/nv_dispi.inf
copy the modified inf into the Display.Driver drawer and then run setup - hope it works. If not, try another driver with a modified inf.
It worked as far as installing, but after rebooting the laptop goes to a blue screen. Looking at the screenshot, does this have MSI bios? Will I have to flash it to MSI?

  • IOMMU (VD-T) support in MSI GT70 0ND us492

    Hello,
I recently purchased the MSI GT70 0ND us492 and loving it!
I also need linux on my machine and i prefered using oracle VirtualBox rather then dual boot.
In order for my linux to recognize my geforce card (for CUDA and graphics in Ubuntu) on my virtual machine I require IOMMU support.
I know that the CPU chip supports VD-t (intel's IOMMU) but i have no idea about the motherboard inside the notebook.
I can't event find the motherboard name in the notebook.
I would love some help, or at least to know if it's supported.
maybe i need to update my BOIS?
Edit: if i need to update bios how do i know if i need to flash the x50 or the x70 version (AHCI or RAID)?
    Thanks a lot!

If your laptop is running the SUPER-RAID or you have two Hard Drives in RAID then you need the RAID BIOS, if your OS is intalled on one HDD your need the AHCI.
I believe you have the same exact model I do so you want the one WITH RAID.
I'm not sure of this but you may need to have Svet unlock your BIOS to see the Virtualization options. See this thread for more information on that.
