MSI GT70 2OC Realtek audio driver problem

Hi,
I am having MSI GT70 2OC-065US. I am using Roccat Kave headphones. Headphone is real 5.1 surround one, hence it comes with four 3.5 mm audio jacks. It used to work well and there was sound from each speaker. But since I have upgraded to latest sound drivers provided on product support page, my rear speakers have stopped working. If I exchange the jack with some other then they work, but speakers which are plugged in rear jack don't work. This means new drivers have probably disabled my rear jack.
Kindly suggest a solution to this problem.

No sorry my friend. My PC is not with me on my holiday so can't help as much as I'd like to.
Restore to previous settings, apparently there is nothing newer (in most cases) just simple bug fixes, and I believe you had no probs before?
Thanks for replying and sorry for disturbing during your holiday. I switched back to my old drivers and everything started working perfectly fine.
I guess there is problem with new drivers.

  • How can I just use a generic Realtek audio driver without "Beats Audio" interfering!?

Beats audio is terrible! I just want to have a flat EQ with no stupid sound effects enabled. The only way I've been able to do this so far, is to uninstall the audio driver, and just use the generic windows one instead. But what I would like to do is use a generic Realtek audio driver, and completely remove Beats Audio from my computer.
After uninstalling the audio driver that comes with my laptop, I tried getting a standard Realtek driver from their website. But when I install that, Beats Audio reappears! This is so frustrating! How can I uninstall Beats Audio? I want it gone forever! I can see from searching these forums that this is a common problem. But none of the solutions have shown how to just use a standard Realtek driver without this Beats Audio rubbish.
Can anyone tell me how this is possible? I'll stick to the generic windows driver if I have to. But it would be nice if I could just use the Realtek drivers as they were meant to be.
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. But you've misunderstood the question. I know how to uninstall the sound driver and just use a generic Windows one instead. But what I'm actually looking to do, is install the Realtek audio driver without Beats Audio. Thanks.

  • MSI GT70 2OC wins MUST HAVE award by KitGuru

    link: http://www.kitguru.net/laptops/zardon/msi-gt70-2oc-gaming-notebook/24/

Here's what I would personally do....
    Install the SSD.
    Remove the HDD.
Install using the Restore disks, doing a full install.
When it's done, go into Windows and using the Computer Management tool (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management, then go to the "Disk Management" link) and remove the restore partition and leave it as empty, unpartitioned space.
Re-install the HDD into the second bay.
Ensure that the computer is booting from the SSD and not the HDD.
Copy over whatever files you might have on the HDD, and remove all partitions from it, and format it as one large drive.
That should complete what I would do, if it were me.
The reason for leaving the space unpartitioned on the SSD is it essentially gives you more TRIM space, allowing the drive to work more efficiently over a long period of time (ie over years) without 'slowing down' at all. This can happen if you fully partition the SSD and nearly fill the drive. By leaving extra, unparitioned space there, you give it more room to work and make the drive be able to operate more quickly in the long run.

  • Dolby Home Theater V4 changed to Dolby Digital Plus after Realtek Audio Driver update Windows 8.1

Hi,I'm now using Ideapad Z510. After upgraded to Windows 8.1. I'd went to the Lenovo website searching for new driver update.
But, after i install the "Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.7023", the "Dolby Home Theater V4" is not running(audio sound not playing through). And, the "Dolby Digital Plus" is running instead of "Dolby Home Theater V4".
Then, when I try to reinstall the older version "Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6954" from Lenovo website, the "Dolby Home Theater V4" is running again.
Truly, the "Dolby Digital Plus"'s sound is crisper and louder than "Dolby Home Theater V4". But the sound of "Dolby Home Theater V4" has more bass and more function (like Graphic Equalizer, more Intelligent Equalizer etc.).
Is this an update or what?
What should I choose? The newer driver (for Windows 8.1) or older driver (for Dolby Home Theater V4)?  Thanks. (confused now) @@

    Hi all
Could you try out DAA or DHTLightweight from my link and just install the Dolby software without overriding your Realtek Driver? I am not sure whether would it work, but worth a try. I have tried on Y460, W520 and G560 with great experience.
If the older Dolby software does not work with your existing Realtek driver, you could install the DAA or DHTLightweight with their driver to overwrite and see how it goes.
    Thank You

  • MSI Z77A-G43 Realtek Audio Manager

    Hello,
I just bought a MSI Z77-G43 motherboard and I did a clean installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and when it started up the audio was already working which is normal. Then I installed the basic drivers (chipset, lan, audio).(Ok just so you know the situation)
Now the volume changes on the new Realtek software are working, but the EQ presets, Graphic EQ, Environment settings, Voice Cancellation and Karaoke settings are not working. So basically the whole "Sound Effects" tab is not doing anything to the sound when being adjusted.
What could the problem be here ? (And how do I add a picture to this message, I have a screen shot)

Yes it's a shame that one cannot just use Realtek audio drivers but have to use the audio program too. I have tried to extract and install only the drivers but it always wants the software as well. And I haven't find those driver only from nowhere without the software studio.
That's why I'm using MS drivers, luckily, those work perfect with my 5.1 set up.
If anyone knows where to get just the audio driver without the software please post link here.

  • Realtek audio driver or nforce udp 4.27 audio driver better?

hi i'm using msi k7n2 delta L which has realtek ac97 alc650 onboard audio and i wanna know which driver should i use?which driver will be fully compatible and better?
The realtek ac97 alc650 driver version A3.61? or the latest nvidia audio driver from udp 4.27 which says has improved AC ’97 / Soft Audio driver and has added support for Realtek ALC655 codecs, Realtek ALC658 codecs, and 7.1 support for Realtek ALC850 codecs?

Just reading through quick fast, I couldn't help notice the fact that someone mentioned that the ILSR boards uses this soundstorm thing.....Well, hey, I got a ILSR....I'm currently using the 4.24 chipset...Are there different drivers for the soundstorm audio? Or should I download the newest 4.27's? Thanks....Sorry to sidetrack your post gerty....Silly

  • Audio driver problem

I have what I think is an unusual symptom. My audio device comes and goes. When I have a device, it is a yellow Multimedia Audio Controller. Checking Device Manager tells me that I have no audio device installed. Why not? What happened to my audio device? I have not intentionally removed or disabled it, just one day it wasn't working. I visited Tech Guy and got advice from a few people and the prevailing theme seemed to be one of driver problems. So, I  downloaded  Realtek AC'97 Audio, attempted to install it but got a blue screen (not the BSOD) which said it was shutting me down to prevent damage to my computer and a full screen of info. It shuts down too quickly to read all of the info. Anyone out there got any ideas? I'm using a 6 year old factory refurb T43 with Win Pro.

    @clairienz:
it looks, that mcq's T43 has flexing of the southbridge - that can happen to every notebook brand and model (my DELL Latitude had the same issue a couple of years ago). The USB 2.0 - message is an indicator for it.
The Lenovo audio driver in normal cases works fine with XP service pack 3, even it is an older driver.
One thing very often will be forgotten while installation:
Executing the downloaded package only extracts it to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\Audio. After that the setup.exe must be executed additionally.

  • MSI GT70 Bigfoot PCIE Ethernet Controller problem

I have a MSI GT70 laptop.  I quit working on it last night at 11 PM and left it on (paused a game).  When I got up this morning it had rebooted and had the message:
    Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083)
    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
For Bigfoot PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.1.1.1 (02/09/12)
    Check Cable Connection!
    PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
Reboot and Select proper Boot Device
or Insert boot media in selected Boot device and press a key
When I press a key it leads me right back to this screen.
There was no activity on the laptop between ending a session and finding this screen.
I have read of a few others having this problem and I'm interested in troubleshooting it before I send off for repair.  Thanks for the help, and please be a specific as possible for the computer non-literate (me)
    Thanks!

Ok...how?  I can get into bios setup by hitting delete at boot up, but where to from there, and how do I identify the hat drive?

  • MSI GT70 2OC Questions (Unlocked Bios, upgrade VGA drivers)

Hi Iam looking for some answers, from what I saw, there are few really awesome helping people here. So Hi to everyone!
AS I noticed there is no GT70 2OC topic here, so there is now.  I will update infos How-to´s and other stuff for everyone that have this revision.
    1. Update VGA drivers, Set as default there is nvidia optimus (Intel+nvidia switching mode)
         Pros:  Battery life
Cons: Faulty switching in some games, just sporadic driver support, 2 VGA drivers at once couse problems with CAD applications and some older games.
Comment: Iam using this as Hi-end mobile solution for work and games, extra 4th hour of battery live comes as real nonsense to me in exchange for ale the troubles.
Possible solution: Unlocking hidden/advanced BIOS options should reveal control for wheter to swithing mode od discrete graphics only. Setting it to discrete graphics only would mean no driver troubles slightly better performance and most importanly possibilyty of regular VGA driver updates from nvidia.
I already send PM to Svet about unlocking bios. But Iam still asking any ideas anyone?

Sadly most of those concerns aren't really valid.
While I have the old GT70 0NE, even on this unit there were no issues ever getting any program (be it Autocad/Solidworks/whatever you like, or games either, even if they were older) to work with the card(s) properly. It's all a matter of making it do what you want, which is actually handled rather well by the drivers. Optimus is much better than it was a while ago, and it functions very well now.
While your your point of just making it default to the NVidia card is valid, it's a very moot point. Every program I've tried (be it 10+ year old games even from the mid-90's, to even the most recent applications and games) works just fine. Again, it's all in how you make the driver work. If you tell it to use the NVidia card when you run this program, it'll work.
I wouldn't worry about making it use only the NVidia card exclusively, it really isn't worth the effort. While it is possible, it's much more difficult than one would think....

  • Audio driver problem for xp

    hi,
iv downgraded frm vista to xp and the audio wnt work
iv tried all sorts of sites from lenovo to ms to fix
the problem but still no solution.everytime i try and
install audio driver it keeps giving the message
"HDA driver not installed" .......anysolutions anyone...
    my model is thincentrek200.

I can give one answer to you problem ( the easiest way)
    1. Go to http://www.realtek.com.tw/ and find the drivers you need, almost all Lenovo products use RealTek
    2. Burn those drivers to a CD\DVD
    3. Delete all video and sound driver
    4. Reboot
    5. When the system ask if you have the drivers, answer yes
    6. Then give them the path where you downloaded the drivers
That's the easy way, if that does not work for you let me know and I will guide you through the hard way. Let's hope the easy way works for you!

  • (Win 8.1) x230 Speaker volume strenght / Realtek Audio Driver may be unnecesary

    Hi
This is more a poll/discussion rather than a question. I wanted to share with you that I have a x230 and as soon as I installed Win8.1 x64 audio worked fine with "Intel High Def Audio" driver. I though sound was kinda weak (I know this is a tiny laptop but it was a lil' TOO weak). Went to Control Panel>Sound>Speakers>Settings>Properties>Enhancements and activated "Loudness equalization" and noticed there WAS like 50% increase for windows sounds, 0-5% for WMP and around 20% for youtube vids. Then decided to install Realtek HD Audio x64 but since it had to reboot and all that and I dont have any "decibelimeter" or whatever, I couldnt take note of scientific results but I THINK the Realtek MIGHT have increased volume another 20% OVERALL but also noticed the driver is 222MB!!! which was hard for me to believe, still dont understand why so heavy, plus, you get a background process from the Realtek thing. What do u guys think about this? How do you use you "ultraportables" in matters of sound/speaker strenght? Would you install the driver?
PD: Keep in mind "Loudness Equalization" enhancement disappears after installing RT driver.
    Thanks for any comments.

Several tweaks with audio settings on my x220 with win7 couldn't increase the audio volume and improve the "quality" , if we can say so about that one via the cheapest internal chip. I've deleted Conexant drivers and sw and installed Dolby Home Theater v.4 with x220 preset. The difference is very big.
    The main thread is here:
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/General-Discussion/Dolby-Home-Theater-v4-for-most-Lenovo-Laptops/m-p/620...
Also there are many threads aboard regarding DHT and win8 with different links to the sw here.
I know only DHT supports win8 and Realtek too.
