    Hey guys,
i just got the GTX 570 Twin Frozr III POWER Edition and i love the card but it seems to run quite loud at fan speed above 48% so i made a custom fan control in afterburner
and the card runs at 71C - 75C under full load in games(crysis2, witcher 2), are those temperatures too high? if not what is the max safe temp i should be running at?
    thank you =]

Quote from: Henry on 31-July-11, 05:13:04
Those temps are normal under a heavy load, nothing at all to worry about.
some people said i can lower the fan speed and just let the card run at 80C, so my last question is:
Is 80C under load an acceptable temperature to run this card at for let's say 4 non-stop gaming hours a day?
    and thanks for reply ^^

  • GTX 570 Twin Frozr III POWER Edition supply issues

    Hi there,
I've always been a fan of MSi products, so when the time came for me to start looking for an upgrade to my current graphics card, I started looking to what MSi had in their range. After some research, the GTX 570 TFIII seems a good option for me, as it gives good performance at a reasnoble price.
Unfortunately MSi seems to have fallen off the map in South Africa. I cannot find any retailer or wholesaler to even give me an eta for 570 or 580 chipset cards in the country, and I've tried all of the suppliers listed on your site and a few that arn't listed. Is there some worldwide shortage of these models? Did the ship sink? Have MSi forgotten where South Africa is?
Any help with the procurement of these cards would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to start importing from the U.S/Europe myself, and I'd like to get an MSi card if possible, rather than go for a different make.
    regards,
    Al

    Welcome to the forum Alandrix.
None of us work for MSI and as such we cannot answer to the supply shortage reasons.
We are at the mercy of the importers. MSI has no official representation in South Africa and all their products are imported by these distributers who have standing contracts with MSI.
Only these importers can supply you with information as to what is on order  by them and as to when thses shipments are expected.
As for bringing this to MSI's attention, I suggest you open a ticket and describe the situation to them. That is the only way that MSI will be aware of any seeming neglect with regards to product availability by their official importers/distributers. >>How to contact MSI.<<
Its unfortunately the way it is and it will remain that way until MSI decides to invest in some official representation on the African Continent.
Check your PM. I posted a local contact that may be able to assist in your query.

  • 570 twin frozr III power edition oc unstable

Hi,just finished building my new rig (i52500k,p8z68-v-pro gen3 and msi N570GTX Twin Frozr III power edition OC)but my card appears to be unstable out of the box, crashing straight away on 3d mark,i'm getting display driver stopped responding error.
I've done a clean install of drivers etc,and only when i use afterburner to up the core voltage by 25mV does the card become stable.(have not tried less voltage)
Why isnt it working at stock voltage ?
I even tried bf3 using the card at fully stock settings, and it crashed minutes into the game

Sounds like the same problem i was having https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=155348.0
Most games would crash 10-30 seconds into the game, battlefield 3 lasted about 2-3 minutes before crashing and restarting.
Now i have a decent power supply unit no more crashing just hours of fun gaming

I noticed there is a switch on the MSI 570 Twin frozr III card:
    http://i.imgur.com/M0NBW.jpg
I have heard two different things:
    A. It was a second bios
    B. It was a profile for the fans?
    So which is it?
Thanks for the help in advance.

i also asked about this in my thread with few other questions, but i never got your reply..
anyway i noticed that in silent mode i can adjust only gpu voltage, rest is disabled(mem and aux voltage).. Is it suppose to be like that?
    Yes, sounds logical

  • MSI gtx 570 twin frozr III - Dual Screen Windowed mode issues

Ok, so... I was running a solo monitor 1440x900 resolution, i recently purchased a brand new asus 24 inch 1900x1080 monitor. Basically what is happening is when i play WoW or Battlefield 3 in windowed mode on the 1080p monitor the colors are not perfect. When i go full-screen on the new monitor no issues, but that is not what i want to have to live with. When i say the colors are not perfect what i mean is, for example when i look @ the sky instead of being a smooth transition or blend from one shade of the sky to the next it is bars or stripes of each shade as if i am looking at the sky in 8 bit color instead of 32 bit color. Another thing to note is that when i login to windows 7 the blue screen where i input the password has the same effect. The 1440x900 monitor is running everything just fine. the only issue is with the 1080p monitor.
I am using DVI cabling for both, and have swapped them around to see if that was the issue, and sadly it is not. I am running the updated gpu driver, which i uninstalled and re-downloaded and installed again tonight.
When i use the HDMI cable,  that fixes the issue but i need the HDMI for my 42 inch tv.
Also in windows, just to cover my bases with this post, i have the native resolutions properly configured, as well as in the game for the given monitor it is being played on.
Anyone know of a fix for this?
    i7 2600k
    asus PBZ68-v Pro/Gen3
    Msi gtx 570
    Samsung syncmaster 953bw (1440x900)
    Asus VS248 (1900x1080)
I am more than happy to re-explain anything that may not be as descriptive or clear to you just let me know!
    EDIT!
When i run the 24 inch 1080p new monitor as my only monitor on the system, everything runs perfectly...
    Edit #2
Ok so i have pin pointed a possible cause
This msi gtx 570 struggles with operating multiple displays with different resolutions, while dual screening with my 1080p television and the 1080p display, everything runs as expected. Having to also render a 1440x900 display is probably the reason i am having the graphic issues. Is there any type of utility, setting, or other fix to this type issue? also this gpu is certainly less than 2 weeks since i purchased i could get a different card to remedy this... any suggestion? if you suggest a different card can you say so with certainty that it will work properly under the condition in which 2 resolutions will be required?

Ok, the problem is fixed and Svet i skipped a step or two. I installed the new driver with the clean install to save time for an initial attempt. What is interesting is that with the Geforce driver, only one 1920x1080 resolution was available
The msi driver gave me 2 options, 1920x1080 and 1920x1080 (native). The latter resolution fixed the issue for whatever reason.
The solution to this problem is so easy, when i purchased battlefield 3 it prompted me to download the geforce.com driver and i did not think anything of it at the time, lesson learned.

  • MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr III OC edition

    Hey guys,
First post and I know it's a bit of a long shot but does anybody know where I can get one of these cards.
Have one already and have been very happy with it so I want to go SLI.  Don't want to buy a new 780ti or whatever as I know I can get a cheaper 680 and get the same if not better performance by going SLI with what I have.
I know you can mix and match brands but I really want 2 of the same.  Have looked on Ebay and they do pop up now and again but just wanted to know if anybody has any ideas, or even has one in a box that is unused.
    Thanks
    Ian

GTX680s are out of producation for quite a while. ebay is your only hope so far. Shops that still have GTX680s are often selling those at totally insane prices. A 780ti would be a better idea. SLI strongly depends on driver and SLI profile support and may feel laggy despite high fps. One high-end gpu is always better than two lower classed cards in SLI.

  • Does N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC have OCP?

    Hello,
(1.) does the MSI's N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC VGA have OCP, since it utilizes custom PCB and, compared to reference, has more VRMs?
    Any URIs would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.
    EDIT:
    Hi again,
I wish to add two subquestions:
    2. Does OCP (for the GTX500 series, in general) affect Kombustor, given the fact that it's based on FurMark?
    3. Does "Xtreme burn-in mode" in Kombustor and FurMark bypass the OCP?
    Thank you.

Quote from: Svet on 16-March-12, 18:35:01
    Yes, all cards have such
If its Disabled it will effect anywhere
    No
Excuse me, Sir, I do not understand what you mean by "If its Disabled it will effect anywhere".
My understanding is that OCP used to throttle down heat generation and performance of OCCT, FurMark, and the like, but ever since ForceWare 267, it applies to every application. What do you mean by "Disabled"; did you mean enabled? I apologize for my confusion, Sir.
I remember that GPU-Z had a mode to disable the OCP (/GTX580OCP), then the newer ForceWare denied the disable, possibly thereafter TPU countered and reworked their mod to bypass the OCP again (/GTX500OCP); judging from the previous sentence, it should be possible to disable the OCP throttling via a software tweak (not just hard-modding the PCB), and I wondered whether Kombustor/FurMark implemented this software-based solution into the "Xtreme burn-in mode", since, for example, Kombustor displays the "Unlocking power draw will increase graphics card workload." warning when one selects the "Xtreme burn-in mode". The bottom line is that I only want to learn what "Xtreme burn-in mode" is really all about, could you, please, explain its concept to me?
    P. S.: I do not challenge you; I'm only trying to learn. Thank you for your help; I truly appreciate all the time and effort you vest into these forums; you're a star!

  • Unstable GTX 570 Twin Frozr III OC

My brand new MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr III OC is unstable. When under load suddenly the sound hangs and the GTX shuts down for a second and the screen goes black. After this it works again. Some games can handle this, but with others I'm back @ desktop.
    My rig:
    - Intel i7 2600K
    - Asrock P67 Pro3 B3
    - Corsair Vengeance 2 x 4GB
    - Cooler Master Powersupply Realpower Pro 700W Modular
    I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit)
Is this problem due to the known stability issues and should I have a VBIOS update? If so which one, because GTX570 Twin Frozr III OC isn't on your BIOS update list.

    Back again...
Today I installed a new PSU (Corsair GS700 single rail with 56 A over +12V) and started playing Bioshock 2 because the error used to occur the most often playing that game.

I think we can rule out that it's a PSU problem. My mobo, processor and RAM are also new so maybe the problem is not the card. I already tested the RAM with memtest with no errors.
I will try to find another PC to test the card in. Can I do something else to maybe test the motherboard or processor?

  • MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC memory clock?

I have had an MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC for about 6 months now and have used MSI Afterburner to monitor temps etc. Today I used it to lower my overclocking as others had said Ghost Recon Future Soldier doesn't crash if you take it off.
If you look at the MSI product page for the card (the forum won't let me post a link to it!?) you can see the Memory Clock Speed(MHz) says 4000 yet in Afterburner mine said 2000Mhz and the slider was in the middle. I am pretty sure there is no multiplier at work here so mine wasn't being overclocked?
Any ideas? I have reduced it down to 1800Mhz and GRFS doesn't crash anymore but can I take it up to 4000Mhz safely in future? I do not want to overload the card.

you have multiply the memory value x2 to get the effective speed

  • Two displays for MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC graphics card ?

Is it possible to have two displays simultaneously connected to this graphics card:
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R6950-Twin-Frozr-III-Power-Edition-OC.html#?div=Overview
The card has two DVI-outputs "DVI Output: 2 (Single-Link DVI-D x1, Dual-Link DVI-I x1)".  I can use one display at a time and the second display only shows "No signal" error. I would like to use two displays when playing PC games, is it possible with this craphics card? Both my displays have VGA connector cables, and they are connected to the card with an VGA/DVI adapter.

what monitors you are using and what resolutions you're trying to use?
Both monitors are old models: 1) Panasonic PanaFlat PF90 2) acer AL 707.
I'm not sure what resolution I was using on acer when I tried to connect both monitors, but now I'm using PanaFLat with 1280 x 1024. Maybe I should try to set them both on 1024 x 768 and try again.

  • Driver for N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC -l- split

I bought the card about four weeks ago and just now I had the opportunity to test it.
When I installed the video card in my PC, the device manager appears only a standard VGA video card. When I installed the driver, Device Manager showed a yellow exclamation on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 Ti saying "Windows has stopped this device becouse encounter some problems (error 43). I tried running some games but I could not open them, and with some drivers the screen was filled with artifacts
I tried various drivers on my two PCs, from one that comes with the video card to the 295.73 driver, and each time the same warning on device manager. Can anyone help solve this or may I do a RMA to MSI?

You sure your PSU has enough amps on the 12V rail and you connected the PCIE power connectors properly ?
Have you checked your Motherboard's BIOS revisions for updates regarding the later video cards ?
Your PCIE Bus interface should be 2.0 X 16. Have you reseated the card properly and disabled the on board graphics in your BIOS ?
My PSU is a SevenTeam 750ZAF with 750W. I used it to do SLI of my 9800GTX+ in the other computer and never had problems with it. I doubt that this could be my problem.
The GA-EP43-DS3L already has the ultimate BIOS and I did the update on the GA-A75M-D2H BIOS. Nothing new, the problem persist.
Anyone of my boards does not support PCI-Express 2.0 but this is not a requisites for  work of the video board like said the MSI page:
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560GTX-448-Twin-Frozr-III-Power-Edition-OC.html#?div=Feature
"PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth of previous generations of PCI express up to an astonishing 16Gb/s. This maximizes the performance of current graphics cards in today's most demanding games and applications. PCI Express 2.0 products are fully compatible with mainboards with other versions of PCI Express."

  • N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC

    Hello,
I have exactly the same issues like the OP.
I bought my video card (N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC) 3 days ago and my video card is showing exactly the same symptoms as described by the OP.
I was able to play 2 evenings after hours of problems where my computer system was showing the same artifacts immediately after turning it on. When the system succeeded to boot to Windows the nvidia driver kept crashing over and over again if I did not receive blue screens.
Surprisingly after booting again and again and again and... the system was eventually stable to play 2 hours. After shutting down and turning the computer on again the same problems reoccur.
I did not RMA the card so far because I was trying to isolate the conditions where the card is running stable. I was not successful so far.
My nvidia 8800 GTX works like a charm. All, and I really would like to point that out, all other components are 6 weeks old! Last component I exchanged because of the graphics issues was the PSU. After exchanging the PSU the problem was gone for 15 mins.
@RelevantToSome: Looks like I am using the same memory like you... Compatibility issue?

Test your 570 in another know working system with a similar GPU.
Are you talking about a similar CPU or GPU?
Of course, both is not available!
Quote from: Bernhard on 06-October-12, 05:51:32
My initial suspicion is a PSU or the card itself.
Quote from: Bernhard on 06-October-12, 05:51:32
Yes, on paper the PSU should be OK, but it may not have the available amps as claimed, i.e. could be defective.
At least it has enough amps to run the card and while measuring power consumption my whole system sucks 392 watts, ~140 watts less than the PSU manufacturer claims for the 12V rail alone. And the PSU does not really seem defective because when the system manages to boot up it runs without problems hours and I would expect the system would run under full pressure even 24 hours.
Quote from: Bernhard on 06-October-12, 05:51:32
If the card works on another system, then test your PSU on the other system.
I have no other system available to disassemble completely. I have 2 PSUs here. Both show the same symptoms...
I purchased this PSU because I also thought my PSU might be defective...
Quote from: Bernhard on 06-October-12, 05:51:32
We can't support your MB, but your BIOS may need an update. Check the MB manufaturers BIOS release notes.
Just for interest, what is the relation between BIOS update and a card showing artifacts immediately after turning the computer on?
Ofc I will flash my BIOS just to sort that out...
