(just repair the link, I'm not allowed to post external link)
Thanks

here it is:  NV284MH.123.rar (122.42 kB - downloaded 1 times.)
flash guide:
Quote
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash

Sorry, I am a knucklehead. I have attached the correct vbios.
The only advantage to re-flashing with my previously attached archive is that it woudl flash the me extension if you didn't previously. Otherwise, don't worry about that.

  • GOP / UEFI Vbios requests for MSI GTX 670 PE OC

I would like to requests a GOP / UEFI Vbios for my MSI GTX 670 PE OC graphics card.
    My serial number is 602-V284-02SB1207061629
    Current Vbios: http://sdrv.ms/1bL1Uwk
    Thank you.

Ah, there is more than meets the eye to it.
I recently newly installed Windows 8.1, why didn't it auto install it to GPT? I'm not gonna do a reinstall right away to test if it's working.
btw: what about GPT and SSD trim? It thought that didn't get along well?
btw 2: Is this particular thing also related to the fact that I can't enable the "Windows 8 feature" in the bios and so also not "Secure Boot"? With it enabled the PC won't go to Windows and keeps hanging on some black/yellow letter UEFI screen...

  • MSI GTX 670 Nvidia driver stopping

I have started getting errors "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."  This happens when playing World of Warcraft, and I have also been able to recreate it using the Heaven Benchmark.
    I have taken these steps
    1. Re-installed windows 8.1
    2. Run windows memory tests
    3. Installed current nvidia drivers
    4. Reverted to previous nvidia driver
    5. Run benchmarks, including Heaven which recreated the error
Did a lot of reasearch on the web, there are solutions from changing the registry time out to upping the voltage to the GPU, have been hesitant to do these, because first doesn't seem like i should have to up  the time out, and second, not sure how to safely up the voltage.
There is some information about another BIOS for the GPU, saying something about fixing a MOBO  compatibility issue.  Should I be downloading this and if so how?  Couldn't get live update 5 to show VGA BIOS, and live update 6 doesn't seem to run on my computer
I'm looking for any suggestions on how to fix this
    Thanks

Thought I would do a summary so you dont have to read the whole post.
My MSI GTX 670 started getting the following error:
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
This occurred when playing WOW and in the Heaven Benchmark.
Per your recommendations, I have done the following with no success
I uninstalled the display driver using DDU in safemode, and reinstalled the recommend driver.
I moved the board to another machine,  the heaven benchmark had the same problem.
Put my GTX 560Ti in my main computer, no issues
    RMAed the board
Received a returned board from MSI with a different serial number
Put it in my computer and had the same error using the Heaven Benchmark
provided the s/n and vbios of the new board
       s/n 602-V284-030B1302117626
       BIOS version
        80.4.92.0.9
Ran Prime95 on my computer for 7 hours in blended mode and 12 hours in low FFT mode, no issues
Moved the new board to the other computer, problem occurred
Just trying to figure out what to do next

  • MSI GTX 670 completely freezes please help

Hi. I posted my problem on the nvidia forums and they suggested I RMA my graphics card and get it replaced... I thought I would post it here to see if anyone could help me...
This issue has started about a few days ago and it has been bugging me because I can't play any pc games for longer than about a minute. Anyway, so the problem is, after about 10 seconds of playing any pc game(I'm using the game minecraft as an example) my computer COMPLETELY freezes and blue squares appear. There is nothing I can do other than switch off the power. Even my mouse pointer freezes. I don't think it's an 'overheating' problem because I let it cool down for 24 hours and the problem persists.
I took a picture with my iphone to show
As you can see, the blue squares appear and EVERYTHING is frozen... Even if i'm not playing a game, sometimes on occasions my screen goes black and comes back and says "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered". But the main issue is that I can't play games or even watch youtube videos for longer than 10 seconds...
    I have a MSI GTX 670 and I have the 306.97 driver.
I have tried countless 'fixes' (for example, setting power management to prefer maximum performance in nvidia control panel) and others too..
Any replies will be GREATLY appreciated, thankyou

    brand, model PSU?
    Quote
I don't have another computer to test it in..
then you can RMA it and if the problem is not in the card the problem will persist.

  • MOVED: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. MSI GTX 670 Power Edition

This topic has been moved to Graphics Cards.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=251843.0

    Hey there,
Noticed that my BIOS drivers were outdated so i updated them (Z68A-GD65 G3, version: 25.8), after all the reboots i logged on my computer, started teamspeak, and while searching for the teamspeak room the driver problem happened again.
Anyway, my power supply is NOX Hummer 80 600W, model: HUM80600.
The problems started on September of this year i think? I've had this computer for almost 3 years now. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and this still happens, i've tried downgrading, fresh installing, and nothing worked.
    Graphics card: MSI GTX 670 Power Edition 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 DirectX11, S/N: 602-V284-02SB1207063830.
I'll try it tommorow if possible.
    Thank you for the attention.

  • MSI GTX 670 Twin Frozr

MSI GTX 670 Twin Frozr fan seems to make a fast clicking noise when not under load or cold.  Have to start up something that's graphics intensive to get it to stop.  This clicking noise starts a few seconds after dust off.  Anything that I can do from here?  Still under warranty.
    Great card otherwise.

check if the VGA FANs are touching something

  • Msi gtx 670

    Hi
I bought a msi gtx 670 for my new pc and connected it to the monitor via an hdmi lead. I am getting a poor quality picture and my card is not showing in hardware. when i try to install the latest drivers it does not find my card installed. anyone had this problem?
    thanks in advance

Can you provide your full system spec please. >>Posting Guide<<
Your problem can be caused by many things.
    bad HDMI cable,
    Badly seated VGA card,
    insufficient power,
MB BIOS incompatibility with PCIE 3 cards
    faulty PCIE slot,
    faulty VGA card......

  • Msi gtx 670 pe can not more overvoltage?

i want buy msi gtx 670pe, but in other forum users tell me gtx 670 pe can not more overvoltage is true?

Quote from: flobelix on 05-February-13, 03:44:56
Any reference card will get hot and be loud. A GTX670 PE has a way advanced cooling keeping it cool, quite silent and most importantly with low temps ensures it won't run in the power limit. Reference cards will run into the power limit quite quickly. PE cards will mostly never reach 100%. That ensures high and constant boost clocks. With some oc a GTX670 can perform as fast as a reference GTX680.
I ordered today msi gtx 670 pe oc, I saw that the card have two led blu. but some pepole do not turn on blu leds, this is defect?

  • MSI GTX 670 Power Edition/OC max temperature?

I've had a MSI GTX 670 Power Edition/OC working great since October 2012, no problems even with the most demanding games.
But now the summer heat has come (it's 40°C in the shade) and I've been getting crashes (classic TDR, no video signal, windows reboots) when the temperature of the GPU gets to about 80°C. If I leave the case open, it never reaches that temperature and works great.
I can't find the temperature specs for this card, but the reference GTX 670 should run up to 97°C.
Is this normal? What is your maximum stable temperature?
    P.S. I don't overclock, anything.
    Thank you

    Hi there,
the only think I could suggest is that ...
1st. do you have adequate cooling in your system..i.e. case fans etc, etc, and to ensure theres no obstruction to cooling fan on  vga card, always an alternative is to install what they call an exhaust blower fan place that directly underneath your card  and that will extract heat away, I had the same issue with my MSI 6570 card and as soon as I added an exhaust blower mine runs at 33oC and i'm pushing my card to the extreme and temp still stays the same... if that fail then your gpu cooling issnt running fast enough to supply adequate cool air...
I hope that will help you

  • Incredibly terrible overclocks with MSI GTX 670 PE/OC

Been using my GTX 670 PE/OC for about a month now. Since the card was supposedly made with overclocking in mind, I decided to give overclocking a try. To my astonishment, the card is perhaps the worst card I've ever had for overclocking. Using MSI afterburner with voltage turned all the way up and power limit at 114%, I could barely overclock to +20 on the core and +600 on the memory. Even at that overclock, BF3 is crashing all the time, especially when I'm doing well. Its incredibly frustrating. The only reason on got the Power Edition from MSI was because it was supposedly designed with overclocking in mind. Had I known it would be so terrible at overclocking, I wouldn't have gotten it. Am I overclocking this card wrong or is this card a dud?

Overclocking is a matter of the individual sample. One might clock great while another of the same model won't. A great board design is useless if the gpu is just a bad draw. The memory doing + 600 Mhz is an absoluely astonishing clockrate only very few GTX670 or 680s would make.
Note that overvolting the GPU is locked due to Nvidia forcing MSI to and any set voltage will result in no more than 1.175v unless you have an unlocked vbios and the right Afterburner version (2.2.3 or 2.2.5 beta 1). Please read >>How to use MSI Afterburner<<
For further assistance add your system specs.

  • Re: msi gtx 670 PE throttling

Can you link that bios ?
Why did you change that bios for the original bios if it worked ? ^^
If someone who have a GTX670/PE/OC who is not throttling when the power is above 100% could link there bios here.... would be nice

    Hey,
Some news (I have reinstalled my Windows 8 pro with a clean install, Tested my card on 3 PC.)
    Conclusion :
All the MSI original bios or hybrid vbios are broken.
The power up to 114% simply doesn't work at all. The power is inscreased to 115% max, yes ... but the card throttle even more xD (With the original bios)
The card will throttle if the power reach or past 100%. (maximum power)
I have tested all the WHQL or Beta driver until 300.X, same issue.
The only bios who work great is this modded bios : http://ul.to/3hatohhh
It's the original bios from MSI for GTX 670PE "80.04.19.00.26 (P2004-0005)" modded with certains values of a galaxy 670 Bios.
Everything works with this bios :
    - Triple overvoltage with AB 2.2.3. (Tested with multimeter, 1.175V boost with +60mV reach ~1.235-1.245, I had the same with the original bios from MSI)
    - Dust removal technology on boot.
    - Power up to 125% (250W)
    - Boost auto on 1202Mhz
    - Fan 30-100%
    - Voltage of 1.21V (I have decreased it at the original 1.15V and 1.175V on boost with mine)
My card is at 1306.5Mhz // 7208Mhz with 1.175V on boost with +60mV // +30mV // +10mV and never throttle !!! Except when the power reach 125% but that's normal
The card works also with the original value of the modded bios with lower Voltage on AB. (1.21V on boost +30mV // 30mV // +10mV)
I have the same values as before without the throttle.
I'm at ~11000pts on 3Dmark now (~10350 before) and the fps are increased in all game.
I have tested the card with an heaven 3.0 run, all maxed out @1080P until 24H. No crash and the temp are ~69° max. (~58° max before !)
P.S : Sorry if my english is not goot, i'm french ^^

  • MSI GTX 670 PE GOP Request

Hey, I would like to request a GOP BIOS for my GPU so I can try out the Windows 8 Feature on my motherboard. I tried it yesterday and ended up getting stuck on the EFI shell until I unplugged my GPU and used the on-board graphics to get back into the BIOS to reset to defaults.
    I have a GTX 670 PE, S/N: 602-V284-40SB13080805292
I can also attach the current BIOS that I took from GPU-Z if that is helpful. It is here on my site: Link
According to GPU-Z, it is version '80.04.5C.00.2A (P2004-0005)'

Contacted MSI and it seems there is no update for the card, I hope there will be soon though.
