MSI H67MA ED55 - Can't activate crossfire EDITED

Hi, I know that crossfire is not officially supported on MSI H67MA ED55 but I see that some H67 board from other manufacturer (like Gigabyte) can enabled it.
So i just wanna know if MSI disable it or if it's just my computer which is had a problem and that I can make it word with my board.

To my understanding, with a VGA filling the primary 16X slot, the second slot will only support a 1X device. If your add-in cards are 1x, then they are supposed to work. If the primary drops to 8x, then the other slot should also cover up to an 8X add-in. But it is not real clear about that.

    I use a MSI H67MA-ED55 (B3) motherboard with an Intel Core i7 2600K processor. However, the booting time of the motherboard is from my point of view very slow. It takes over 40s until the Windows 7 Logo is shown, during the booting process the number "98" is shown in the lower right corner. Thats quite aggressive and the EuP provisioning in the BIOS supposedly ensures that the motherboard stays within that tolerance whenever the PC goes into full standby mode.  This power saving feature though has some unwanted side effects at times and numerous users have found that some of their unexplained problems disappear after this feature is disabled.

        I have a problem and I hope someone can help me. I bought a Msi h67ma ed55(B3) motherboard with a pentium g620 processor. Now I want to buy a  core i5 2500K (for OC), but i do not know if I will be able to overclock it.
        Will I be able to set the multiplier in bios as high as I want, or are there some limitations to the h67 chipset ?

    Thanks A LOT!! I have been going crazy for the past hour trying to understand why I kept getting that error message when I tried to authorize my computer. I even contacted customer service through chat but they couldn't help me.
    So yes, same thing as you : the way to finally manage to authorize the computer was to CHANGE THE TIME. Actually, funnily enough, what worked for me was changing the Time Zone. I think it's based on what address or city you give when you register.
    For example, for me, I had the right time for my city, but the wrong Time Zone. Once everything matched, it worked.
    So for those of you who get that "REQUEST_EXPIRED" error message, you now know what to do!

    I'm interested to buy the MB named in the topic AND a pair of RAM modules.
    The modules are made by Mushkin. They got the following ID code: 991586, Essentials Series, DDR3 1333, 2 GB.
    Does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues with the MSI motherboard (H67MA-ED55)?

    Those are good, JEDEC-standard compliant modules.  I have not really seen any other user who uses them (or perhaps I simply don't remember), but there is no reason at this point to assume that there would be any compatibility problems.  The memory controller is part of the CPU and natively supports DDR3-1333 1.5V+/-0.075V modules and that is exactly what those modules are.

    I read through the thread you mentioned and it seems that people are having a lot of problems with the iCloud clients, so we're not alone, but the unique issue in my case is the failing email address vs. the working perfectly email address.
    After reading your message tonight, I tried my setup again with the preferred Apple ID (the one without the "." between the names), and for the first time ever, IT WORKS. Mail app configured the servers both send and receive as p01-smtp.mail.me.com and p01-imap.mail.me.com. For the first time, I'm able to send and receive into the Mail app, create mailboxes, move messages into and out of mailboxes, keep Sent messages, etc.
    I had a 50-minute support chat with MobileMe support via ExpressLane on Monday afternoon. They couldn't resolve my issue but passed me on to escalation. I was told to expect to get an email from advanced support by this afternoon, but none has arrived. However, so far tonight -- and I will check again tomorrow several times before declaring victory -- it looks like something has been fixed on the Apple end to make things work.
    I will report back after I do some additional testing tomorrow to make sure the fix is real and is solid...and before I let my friend, the new Mac user, know the good news.

  • Msi h67ma-e55 (b3): continuous reboots, no video out, dual bios problem?

    I'm here with a new problem.
    I got this motherboard h67ma-e55 (b3) "reconditioned" by the seller.
    I tried it with a celeron g550 & DDR3 module in 1600 and later in 1333, no hdd and no dvd.
    coolermaster silent pro 550W power supply (80plus bronze)
    the motherboard to boot has black screen after a few seconds, restart it, and it continues like this forever.
    tried to remove battery, clear CMOS, and change all the slots of ram, but always the same problem ... no successful boot
    according to the manual, this motherboard would have a dual boot:

    I did everything out of the case, open air, even removed the battery, with single ram on different slot every time I try start it, without vga....but nothing changes!!
    I believe that if I can not force bios setup, I can not start the system properly ..
    The card come back by RMA (it's written on the box), sold by super ebay power seller.
    the seller (very helpful, he said he takes the card back) said he has not tested the card, but I'm surprised that MSI service center did not fix it with the new double Bios.

    Looks like voltage checkpoints are lacking on the E45.
    Normally the higher numbered boards have more BIOS options available too and their VRM components usually allow for more stable overclocking.
    As can be seen on the MB photo the heatsinks surrounding the CPU are also lacking on the E45.

    I'm a bit confused with this paragraph, as you said Vista already install on your computer, why did you say Windows can't be installed?
    According to your description with your problem, it is Product edition and key are not match. Firstly of all, we must make sure the system you installed on your computer was
    Windows Vista Business, not matter 32 or 64 bit.
    Note: you can check current system edtion at System Properties.
    After that, you can try to input your product key and activate your system for test.
    If problem still presists, it would be better to provide the activation error message.

  • Can't activate iPhone because Apple ID is locked 'for security reasons', can't reset Apple ID because need iPhone to receive two-step activate code!

    So here's an interesting one...
    I have just updated iOS on my iPhone and it came up with the activation prompt. I entered my iCloud email and password and it told me that my account was disabled for security purposes.
    This happens quite regularly as my iCloud account and I constantly get the account locked out as other people mistake it for their account.
    The procedure to unlock my account is to visit iforgot.apple.com and select the 'Reset your password' option, enter my iCloud email address, two-step recovery key and then nominate my iPhone to receive a two-step authentication code.
    The problem is my phone won't receive the authentication code because it needs activation! My iPad is also listed but also won't receive the authentication code, I expect because my Apple ID is disabled!
    Having read the support article regarding what to do when you can't receive the two-step authentication code it says login to your apple id account and manage the list of devices! You what!? I can't login because my account is disabled.
    It seems there is a complete design flaw here in that I can't activate my phone without unlocking my Apple ID and I can't unlock my Apple ID without activating my iPhone first!
    I've spoken to Apple in the past about this and their response was to login and manage my devices and I pointed out that I could not login in because my account is disabled. They then basically said there is nothing I can do! Really? They won't unlock my Apple ID because they don't have the ability to do so.
    If I'm not mistaken my iPhone is no longer fit for propose and if I can't sort this I will be visiting the Apple store and asking for a replacement as basically my device is bricked. I guess I will have to create a new Apple ID and will no longer be able to get to my email on the old account!?
    Any folks on here has similar issues or any suggestions?

    I have something similar going on, but not exact.  I basically have a useless phone here because I restored the phone but supposedly when my son's father redid the phone years ago for our son he added the phone to HIS apple id (on find my phoen supposedly) which he no longer has nor uses.  I need said apple id and pass to finish restoring the phone.  Maybe we should all get together and pile all our bricks in front of apple headquarters so no one can get out of the building and they have to stay there until they fix this.  :-P
