MSI K7N2-V incorrect FSB/CPU clock

I just flashed a K7N2-V with latest bios (6729v54). The system includes 512 mb 333mhz Memory and an Athlon XP 2100+ (266 mhz). After flashing the bios I reset the bios to the previous settings (FSB to 166 and the CPU to 133). The only problem is the system now identifies the CPU as an Athlon 1500 running at 1300 Mhz. After booting, WCUPID shows the cpu running a system clock of 100 (as opposed to 133) with a multiplier of 13 (hence the 1300 mhz (13 x 100) and the FSB as 200 Mhz rather than the correct 166. Prior to the flash this system ran normally.
I have reset this numerous times and tried multiple settings, including manual, auto , high performance but the system always shows the same 1300 mhz. I reflashed to a previous version (6729V52) hoping to turn it back but the results are the same.  Regardless of what settings I put in the FSB and CPU it always reverts to the 100 mhz clock speed and 200 FSB. The bios ALWAYS indicates a 1300 Mhz speed even if I up the CPU clock to 166 or 200. In essence the system is stuck at 100 mhz system clock and 200 FSB and it does'nt care what I set in the bios.
What in the heck is causing this? and how can I fix it?
Any ideas are appreciated.

I am having the same exact issue (not "Exact" same board, but same series.)
I have the MSI K7N2GM-L (MS-6570)
I have installed in the board a AMD Athlon XP 1900+ (12x133 @ 1.75 Volt)
However, when I turn the PC on, it is set to 1200MHz when it should be 1600MHz
I have tried resetting the BIOS, even bought a new battery (though no settings are being lost, I figured it was worth a shot..)
I have tried to let it auto config it, ect.., tried manual of course, FSB is set to 133, I have double checked, I am using 3x 512MB PC-2100 DDR sticks, they are 266MHz (have not upgraded to 400Mhz Dimms yet)
The DDR is fine, I installed it into a MSI K7T266 Pro2-A Motherboard and did not get the same issue, along with the CPU ect.. however, I use a nVidia GeForce FX 5900 AGPx8 video card which the KT7 board only supports 4x speed where as the one I have issues with supports 8x.
Now funny part is, if I shut off the computer, wait some time, turn it on, "sometimes" not always but sometimes, it will decide to kick into 1600MHz and shows the CPU name properly. When it does boot and shows 1200MHz it does not show the CPU Name.
So basically, if I have to shutdown for something such as installing a drive, removing a drive, ect.. I have to play with it by turning off and waiting, then turn on until it decides to boot using 1600MHz instead of 1200MHz
I have tried Flashing the BIOS using Live Update via DOS mode. Right now I am on the machine and it is running @ 1600MHz. But the minute I shut off the PC completly, and turn it on, it will be at 1200MHz and I have to go through the process of turning it off and on until it posts 1600MHz again..
And I had checked to make sure it was not typo on the BIOS part by letting it boot to Windows and sure enough it would show it was a 1200MHz when it does this.
I am thinking the BIOS has some bug, the board runs fine however, no lockups, performs well, ect, apart from the BIOS not wanting to cooperate with my 1900+ 100% of the time, it seems to run fine.
Any suggestions, please lemme know :S

  • Using a Duron 1.3mhz FSB 200 on Msi K7N2

    This is what I've got, MSI k7n2-l,amd 1.3 duron 192k, 60g WD HD, ATI 8500LE 64mb, samsung DDR333 256 mb,
My question is, did anybody have any problems  using a Duron CPU on this motherboard or would this cpu work ok with my memory sammsung ddr333.
    Thanks Dandio   ?(

Lets start from the beginning,I bought all this parts to put a computer together. Once i put every thing together. Set FSB 100 for CPU, ready to start my computer. But having problem to boot. The Dled 1, 2 were red, stating that"i may have a damage cpu or not installed properly".Fans, lights were working but when i powered on and off sometimes the computer will shut off. So i removed
things i didn't need for my computer to boot. Kept Cpu,memory, and video card. Reseated cpu samething, put memory in different banks still samething, I even removed the video card, memory and cleared cmos. restarted, no beep. still samething Dled 1,and 2 are still red.Tried cpu on another board was working ok. At this point i was getting very frustrated X( . So i called the company where i bought the motherboard and they replace my board with a new one. Once i recieved it, I put everything back together
Guess what!! Still the same problem. this time i removed
the motherboard out case and mounted every without the case. Now lets try this again. This time on my Dleds 1,3, and 4 leds are red. now saying "the memory module is damage or not installed properly". When powering  on and off some times the computer shut down. At this point i knew that cpu is working ok. I've check my memory in another computer. works just fine.
Could it be that power supply is not supplying enough power or could be my memory stick is not compatible with the motherboard. I hope the motherboard is not **** again.
What would be my next step. Need your help?? :(
    Thanks

  • How to reduce from 5º to 8ºC CPU Temp on your MSI K7N2 Delta!

I've installed this tweak last week and it is working very stable since then. It decreased my Idle CPU Temp from 42º to 36º and Overload from 54º to 48º:
    Just go: http://forums.pcper.com/showindex.php?t=280137
    AMD ATHLON XP 2600+ 12.5x333mhz 1.65V ~OC 11.5x400mhz 1.55V
    Thermaltake Volcano 9
    MSI K7N2 Delta L
    MSI GF4 4200-8X graphics Card
    160GB Maxtor HDD 7200rpm
    768MB Samsung DDR3200
    LG 48x24x48x/16x CDROM/DVD Reader
Dual Fan 450W Troni Power Suppy

It seems that the link to the tweak is broken, I've found another one:
    http://ftp://ftp.vector.co.jp/pack/win95/hardware/other/wpcre14.exe
This is what the article say:
Just tried it for the first time..It works GREAT
My idle temps are now 26c, down from 34c. That's 8C. I can have Winamp, IE and messenger running and CPU temps don't get by 29c.  Once i fire up, SETI though...I get back my regular Load temps at 39c.
Some of you probably know about it, already....here's for thousand others that don't.
This tweak can drop your idle CPU temps down as much as 8c, maybe more...depending on your system.
First thing you need to do is download WPCRSET & WPCREDIT.
    They're both in this zip.
    - Extract to a directory.
    - Run "INSTDD.EXE". Click Install. When done, you will be prompted for restart. Hit Yes! -
    - Then go back to the folder with extracted files, and open "WPCREDIT.EXE"
    - A ms-dos like window will pop-up. Move the blinking block (with arrow keys or your mouse pointer) until it says Offset 6F at the buttom. Now, click on the two digit number where it says "HEX", and change it to 1F (The Hex for Offset 6F would have previously been 9F, 8F or something else). Hit Set.
Your idle temps should now start falling.
You would have to do this hack/tweak everytime you rebooted your computer if it wasn't for WPCRSET.
    - Go to directory and run "WPCRSET.EXE"
    - Look at the top of the window: Enable select "Start" and make sure Device is on "enable"
    - Then click Add. Enter 6F for the register, and 1F for the data
    - Click Ok and you'll be prompted to restart.
Once, you rebooted, open WCREDIT again and see if the 6F register is still on 1F. If it is, then that's it..You're all done.
Here's a Screenie of how it should be:
This only brings your idle temps down, and not your full load temps
It should work for all nforce2s, and use at your own risk
Check your nf7-s for CPU Disconnect. Most other nforce2 motherboards do not have this feature in the bios...so this tweak might prove useful.
READ THE WHOLE THREAD BEFORE TRYING THIS!
If you run a Distributed Computing project...then obviously this would be of no use to you

It activates the C1 (and maybe the C2) function Athlon XP CPU's support. Most mainboard brands have this feature as an option in the bios you can enable and disable. I just found out that EPoX doesn't have that feature. So what you're doing is just using a direct reg tweak to activate it. It's not like you're forcing anything, the Athlon XP chips are made to support this feature so it shouldn't do any damage.
When the CPU is idle the mainboard will send a command to the CPU that will cause a part of the CPU to be deactivated (and therefore not produce any heat). That's why this tweak only works on the idle temp and doesn't change anything on the load temp. Ofcourse as soon as the CPU power is needed the deactivated part will become active again, so it should have any influence on the performance of the CPU.
Strangely, my full load temp has decreased 6º C degrees too.

  • MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Memory problems

I'm trying to burn in a system in a 50 deg C (122 deg F) room for a minimum of 12 hours.  The main system components are as follows:
    Motherboard:  MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR
    CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800+
    Memory: 2x512 OCZ PC3200 EL
My problem is that the burn-in software continues to freeze up during the memory test.  I've already contacted the software manufacturers and the software is stable.  It's a problem with the way the motherboard handles the memory.  I've tried putting the memory in dual channel configuration and changing the timing settings in the BIOS.  The SPD settings are 2.5-3-3-7.  Right now I have them at 3-4-3-8.  It's a lot more stable than it was under the default settings but it still freezes up sometime after 7 hours.  Unfortunately, I wasn't around when it froze so I don't know exactly how long it lasted.  I can say that after 7 hours, it wasn't showing any slowdown in performance.  If anyone could think of anything else I might be able to do to get the system stable, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestions.  The CPU FSB is 200, so it's already matched up there.  And we have a ton of fans already.  There are two in the front, 4 inside and 1 on the back.  It's a custom case, 2u high.  The power supply is oversized and more than adequate to provide the required power.  I have four of these units running right now.  Two with 2x512 sticks and two with 1x1024 sticks.  For each combination, the memory clock speed for one is 166 and 200 for the other.  I have been loosening up the memory timings trying to get the system stable, but it still isn't.  If the power supply is good, and I'm unable to cool the system anymore due to limititions within the case, is there anything you can think of to stabilize the system.  Maybe other settings in the BIOS or suggestions on how to go about getting good timings for the memory.  Thanks.

  • [nForce] has somebody MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR + barton mobile

I wanted to know if there is a possibility of changing cpu ratio because msi kt4av did't see this cpu as mobile. on epox 8rda3+,8rda3+pro, and abit everything is ok. Has there somebody such mainboard with this cpu? Does mainboard seethis cpu correctly? And does somebody know if how to change the cpu ratio in barton mobile's bios.i wanna buy  MSI K7N2 Delta2-FSR

    Frequency/Voltage Control in BIOS
    "CPU FSB Clock"
    "CPU Ratio" (multiplier)
    that is from KT4AV manual
mobile CPUs aren't properly identified on most boards, but that is merely a "cosmetic touch"

  • Data corruption on MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR

    Hi all,
Just got my new MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR up and running.
Got some issues with the memory running at 200mhz while the Barton core of my Athlon Xp 2600+ was running 166mhz, this had to be 1:1 (thx forum  )
While running the default bios settings with cpu/mem at 166/166 fsb everything is stable as hell. I have been running Prime95 for 2 days now and using the system for dvd ripping/encoding, UT2004 gaming etc.
Then the overclocking began   I'm using the standard AMD cooler that came with my boxed Xp2600+ so I didn't expect an FSB of 200mhz.
I stopped at an FSB of 190mhz...been crunching Prime95 for 18 hours now and again very stable.
Now comes the problem : Sometimes I get crc errors when installing a game or decrypting a dvd!! But how can this be? Prime95 is stable at this 190fsb overclock.
When using an FSB of 166mhz no data corruption or crc errors.
What can this be? It's not the cables because they're all the same as in my old setup which was running (ahum...walking) stable. PCI/AGP speeds are locked when overclocking...
Only thing I can think of is the power supply. I've read in a warning post from Bas that the Q-Tec 550w psu I have is crap. So my guess is PSU, but maybe it's something else I'm forgetting...Any suggestions??
The stupid thing is when I'm not overclocking I don't have the data corruption problems, but I'm still using the same crappy Q-Tec 550w PSU.
    Help!
    gr,
    Remco

Hmmm, that's curious. On the MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR product page Kingston memory is recommended
Ok, did a Memtest86 v1.11 pass at cpu/dimm 166/166 - no problems whatsoever. I think using Prime95 would have revealed memory problems...but will do another pass with cpu/dimm at 190/190.
Can overclocking affect the Promise Raid Controller?? It should be locked like the PCI/AGP but who knows...
Well, I still have to replace my PSU but I'm not 100% sure that this is the problem. What PSU would you recommend? ...and I'm also thinking about replacing the standard CPU cooler, any advice is welcome

  • MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR MB Problems, Need Help ASAP!! PLEASE

Ok  I just got this motherboard (MSI K7N2 Delta) Yesterday and after getting it setup I began overclocking the Processor (an AMD Athlon XP Barton Mobile 2500+) I was at 11x 215 1.750V Perfectly. I moved to 216 it started to seem unstable so I pushed the VCORE up to 1.775 and tried 217. It couldn't boot so I dropped it back down and decided ok 208 and a 11.5 multi might get me past the 2.4 mark which I was looking for. Well when I changed the Multi. to 11.5 and said save the system just sate as the flashing y for save. I could not change it to n I had already pushed enter So i firgured great and left it alone for a few minutes, nothing so I reset it. Now it refuses to boot/post. It spinds the fans the HD's the Network port is going but I get no picture. I have cleared the CMOS using the jumper I have removed the battery and power for over an hour and I still get nothing. I am assuming this is a BIOS error but I am not sure what to do to fix it. Does anyone here kno maybe, something I have yet to try something I can do? I would hate to RMA it and have to wait on newegg. Hell the thing is a day old. So please any idea's are welcome I have this posted on the Hard Forums as well but I am hopinh this forum may be more popular with getting help as no one is helping over there. Thanks!

    Hi,
Cross: Just in case you are doing something wrong there's a clear CMOS guide here, follow it to the letter (and don't forget to put the FSB jumper to SAFE beforehand - there's a note about it in the guide).
    How To Clear the CMOS
Your system board or CPU maybe not be dead yet - I had a similar problem with one of my boards and I tried everything - to cut a long story short I eventually got it working!!!
Btw, If you can't boot or get into the BIOS put your other CPU in (clear BIOS again after fitting!), so that you can prove whether your motherboard is working correctly!
Good luck!   I'm off ta bed!

  • MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR Dead? Help!

    Hey all,
Well, the other day I was on my computer playing a game when my mobo fan started making an odd noise (as if switching rpm), so I took off the side of my case and took a look inside. Everything seemed to be functioning properly, then I switched my cpu fan speed via the pci slot speed control. As I switched from High-Medium-Low, I noticed that the fan actually slowed to the point where I could see the blades spinning, at least for a second or so. I found that rather odd, seeing as how I've never seen a fan (especially a cpu fan) slow to the point that I could see the blades spin. Anyway, a couple of hours later, I shut down and went to sleep.
The next day I had my comp on for about maybe 30mins to an hour or so when suddenly I heard an alarm from the computer speaker, so I was like, ":censored:?" since I had never heard it before. It was evidently the temperature warning, which I had set to 70C. So I shut down within 15 seconds and opened up the side of my case.
I noticed that the cpu fan wasn't moving at all (usually I'd open the case in time to see the spin-down). So I turned the computer back on and the fan didn't budge, so I immediately powered down, assuming that the CPU Fan had died. Later on, I hooked the fan itself up to a free power cord in my sister's computer and booted up, along with the speed controller, flipping from medium to high to low without any problems.
I then did screwed the fan back to the heatsink in my comp and booted up. I went into the bios an noticed that the rpm was 8k, which is way too high for my fan (normally 5k). So i began switching from high, medium, to low once again, then I saw that the rpm reader in the bios went to 0. So I looked back in the side of my case and saw that the cpu fan was once again dead. At this point I concluded that it was the fan and was about to order the Volcano 12.
A day later I placed the fan inside my sister's computer on a free cord, yet again, and yet again, it worked fine.
I once again put it in my computer to test and this time it worked fine, even while switching between speeds. Unfortunately, I then noticed that the mobo fan was not moving, then began to move.
Well, I'm guessing now that it's simply the motherboard that has a short, since both the motherboard fan as well as the cpu fan have randomly been dying the past few days. The motherboard fan; however, has switched rpm many times in the past from 5k to 3k.
It could also be a PSU problem, but I have Antec 400watt psu and it's been working fine for the past 2 years, so I doubt it. I've had the motherboard for a little over a year. I upgraded my cpu from 2200+ to 3000+ in July. That's also when I bought the cpu fan. The motherboard fan began fluctuating in rpm noticeably back in April or May of this year.
Yesterday, I used the computer again and had it on for about 2 hours or so and I had speedfan monitoring the temps and the rpm. The temps stayed relatively stable: 48 cpu, 44 mobo.
But alas, the RPMs were totally [blame me for the swear filter] up. At one point, both the mobo and cpu fan speeds were reading 0, even though both continued to spin within the case and the temps remained the same. Then after 30mins or so, they cpu fan began reading again at 40,000-42,000rpm, which is obviously incorrect, seeing as the fan is rated for around 5k. I got/get the same readings in the bios, both fans reading at 0rpm as they continue to physically spin.
Also, during a number of times that I've started up the comp within the past few days, the motherboard northbridge fan wasn't spinning at all and didn't begin to until a few minutes into my windows session.
Also, I took out the NB fan and noticed a slight crack in the back of it.
I was considering simply just buying the Volcano 12 and the MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum rather than RMAing the mobo. Then perhaps an Antec 550W psu, if necessary.
Any ideas what I should replace and in which order? And has anybody else encountered any similar problems with this mobo (at least with the mobo rpm, which has been a prob for about 6months on and off)?
I bought the mobo along with a 2200+ in July of 2003. I upgraded the ram from 256 to 512 in April 2004 (which is around the time I started hearing rpm probs with the mobo fan) and I upgraded the cpu in July of 2004
    Many Thanks!

Could be a fluctuating PSU that's breaking down power to the MB. You have a whole lot of components dragging that PSU down. With what you have in your rig I would run either an Antec or Enermax 550W. Best way to be sure is to borrow a PSU or buy one from a store with a good return policy so that you can return it if indeed it turns out to be the MB. If I don't have your board here on my bench to test the only thing I can suggest to you is to swap out components unfortunately.

  • MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR (MS-6570) BSOD problems grrr

I recently purchased this board and although it is an awesome product, I'm having a problem with BSOD's when I play a game for a certain period of time
    Specs:
    MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR  (7.6 BIOS)
    AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton
    512MB (2x256MB) Samsung PC-2700 DDR memory (2.5-3-3-6 1T)
    MSI 128MB GeForce4 Ti 4200 (4X AGP)
    NVIDIA nForce on-board sound
    Western Digital 80GB drive w/ 8MB cache
    MSI X48 CD/CD-RW/DVD combo drive
    Windows XP Professional SP1
    PSU:
    Turbolink 420watt (came with case)
    +3.3V is 28A
    +5V is 40A
    +12V is 18A
So what happens is I get a STOP error during the game that shows the kmixer.sys driver as the culprit. Sometimes it's accompanied by PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA too. I read somewhere that kmixer.sys has to do with windows audio and that it's a 3rd party driver issue or a memory issue. I'm using the latest NVIDIA 3.13 nForce platform drivers. I ran Memtest lastnight for 12 hours straight and 0 errors. I'm thinking the memory may not be compatible with the board nor dual channel, is this possible? I have also tried several different drivers for both video and chipset including MSI's own and I still get the kmixer.sys BSOD when playing games. My previous motherboard was an MSI KT3 Ultra2-R (MS-6380E) which I had no issues with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
    --Update--
I just tried to play a game with audio disabled and it crashed this time with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL with nv4_mini.sys as the problem. My IRQ table shows some sharing, but device manager shows no conflicts.

Ok I tried running the DTM-CB3 module which is nForce2 approved at 3-4-4-11 2T timings and experienced the same result even at 2.6 and 2.7v. I tried both in dual-channel and same thing happened. However, I downloaded a program called Prime95 and ran the CPU torture test and the system returned a fatal error within the first few minutes. CPU Temp was at 57 C and the warning beep (set to 60C though) sounded intermittentley which is strange. I let it cool down then ran the torture test again and about 5min. later the system either seized completely or the program crashed. IE has also crashed randomly on me. I did this several times, before trying a different FSB/DRAM ratio. So I left the system at 200 FSB and used a 6:5 ratio so my memory was running at DDR333 and processor was a 3200+. I ran Prime95 again and the system locked up just as it did the other times.  So after I did this a few times with consistent results. I went back and set the FSB to 166 and tried a 5:6 ratio so the memory was DDR400 and processor was the normal 2800+. I ran it again and to my suprise it passed all the tests and after an hour of this, I tried a game and that was perfectly fine as well. I checked the temps and CPU was only 45 C this time. So I'm thinking the processor can't handle anything above 50C or it's just plain overheating. I ordered a Thermaltake Silent Boost HSF today which is tested up to 3400+ so this should fix my problem. If not, then I'm going to replace the memory with a 512MB Geil PC3200 golden dragon dual-channel kit.

  • [MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR] Trouble

    Hello,
I have some serious trouble with my pc, my system specs are:
    -Unlocked Amd 2400+ (AXDA2400DKV3C from August 21, 2002)
    -Msi K7N2 delta-ilsr
    -Palit GeForce FX5900XT
    -Std. 512mb pc2700
    -Std. 512mb pc3200
    -More stuff
The problem is that I can't change the multiplier. If I change the multiplier from 15x (standart) to for example 13x, the system won't boot. Than I have to put a jumper at the 100mhz fsb setting, then I must change the multiplier back to by h/w & save the settings. So I am only able to change the fsb, but not the multiplier
Anywone who know's a solution for this problem?
    Thanks,
    Sape

Sounds like to me it is locked because you can change the fsb and not the multiplier.

Is it possible to change the FSB from 166 to 200, and what should i think about before action. Like i said before i have an xp2800+

  • Getting K7N2 Stable @ 200 FSB? please help.

    First, specs:
    MSI K7N2 nforce2 mobo
2x256 OCZ PC3200 EL (11-3-3-2.5 at the moment)
    Athlon XP-Mobile 2400+
    200fsbx 11 multi
    vcore= anywhere btw 1.55 and 1.675
    vdimm= tried 2.6 and 2.7
Antec True Power 350W (230 combined)
    GF4200ti 64 not OCed
    AGP bus @ 66 manual
PROBLEM: I get major artifacts/crash in any 3D application at 200fsb 1:1.  I just got this new RAM and I'm trying to run it at 200 in sync with cpu.
I've messed with settings quite a bit.  Can't get it stable in 3D apps.  Any suggestions on what settings to try?  What am I missing?  Has anyone with this board had it stable at 200 FSB 1:1 sync?
    Thanks,
    Twanto

Just changed my sig...the Q-Tec is lying in the corner for a week or so now
Hmmm, well if the 72w produces more heat I can't expect such a great overclock as everybody has with the mobiles??

  • [nForce] Current cpu clock has changed

My cpu was running ok, the bios showing Current CPU Clock 1833MHz, System Performance [Auto] and cPU FSB Clock [100MHz]. Some time ago I had a problem getting the AGP card to work, when I did I took a digitial photo of all the BIOS settings when the PD worked - thats how I know the above setting.  A couple of day ago I noticed that the cpu was running cool and performance wasn't as good as it should be so I checked under "System Properties" and that shows an Athlon 1.09GHz.  I've tried clearing CMOS and setting BIOS defaults (read on this forum somewhere). I've also tried FSB at 133, 166 and 200 but still only seem to report an Athlon 1.09GHz. Any suggestions.

set perfomance to manual. set FSB:CPU in ration 1:1 set correct FSB to your CPU which must be 166. Frequency must be 1833MHz(PR 2500+).

  • MSI K7N2-IL 2M/B and MSI MS-StarForce GeForce FX 5900 Ultra

    Hi
I wonder if you could help me.
I am curious, the below is the spec of my machine.
AMD Athlon XP 3000 + 333 FSB CPU
    MSI K7N2-IL 2M/B
256 GEFORCE FX 5900 ULTRA GRAPHICS
though the graphics card is reported as MSI MS-StarForce GeForce FX 5900 Ultra [Nividia GeForce 5900 Ultra] in Windows control panel.
I am needing to learn more about exactly what is what in this PC.
I have installed MSI Live monitor and have upgraded to NVIDIA nForce System Drivers though my graphic driver is still reported as 4.4.0.3 or 43.51 [another question why are there two versions given to graphic drivers?]
As Live monitor doesn't report any further updates possible when there are newer Nvidia drivers from the Nvidia website - can I install these ?
Also I am looking for a utility to monitor, change fan speed and temperature, is the Nvidia  system utility ok to use?  It says that it's only compatible with
    nForce3 Pro
    nForce3
    nForce2
I'm not sure if I only have Nforce ?
I would really appreciate any help you may give - I know that the above probably sounds as if I'm as thick as 2 short planks.
    Thanks in advance

you can get all your drivers there
