Hi All I Have a MSI KT6 Delta FISR Motherboard With a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 2.00GHZ In My Spare Pc and It Was Working Fine Last Week But When i Turned It On I Seen That My hard Drives Were Not Detected In The Bios Under Standard CMOS Settings So I Saved My Bios and Turned Off The Pc To Sort The Drives and When I went To Turn It Back On It Wouldnt Boot Back Up
So I Tried Unplugging The Hard Drives Again and Still No Boot Tried My 1gb Ram From My Main pc and Still No Boot So I Setup The D-Bracket To See If That Could Find My Problem and It Says That My CPU Was Damaged or Not Installed Properly So i Took It Out and Put My AMD Barton 2500+ In and My 480watt Hiper PSU and It Said That CPU Was Damaged or Not Installed Properly So I Tried My 2400+ In My Other Motherboard What Is a MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR nForce 2 Ultra 400 and It Worked Fine Both CPU's Did.
System Specs Of Spare Pc.
AMD Athlon XP 2400+

All Help Will Be Apreciated Cheers.

Hi, I received the same message from the D-bracket, so mine wont boot never, If you get how it works from yours please explain what you did here, in order to get my board alive. Sorry, but I tried everything in the book with this mobo and nothing worked (KT6-LSR non delta version), and I feel that I can't help you out so much.

  • MSI KT6 Delta-FISR - D-Link diags "Boot attempt" failing

    Hi,
I need some inspiration for this problem.
My sister's machine has been running fine (ish) for about 5 months. The sound has been "playing up" recently, sounding like it's stuttering. Anyway, that's not why I'm here.
At the moment, the machine won't boot up at all. I had it booted up today, and it was working OK, then it froze (sister complained that it froze yesterday as well).
On reboot, all I'm getting is the Xtreme main screen, then nothing else. The D-Link diags are showing 1 RED, 2,3,4 green which is
"Boot Attempt- This will set low stack and boot via INT 19h". It does nothing else.
I can't get into the BIOS, not can I boot from floppy. Doesn't matter if the HD is connected or not, it still fails at the same point.
I've stripped the machine back to the basics, so only have 1 CD-ROM, 1 HD, 1 stick of ram, floppy drive, graphics card.
I've swapped the graphics card .. same problem.
dropped the ram from 2 to 1 stick and switched sockets ... same problem
Swapped the PSU .... same problem
Is the Motherboard knackered ?  Anyone got any more suggestions ??????
    Thanks.

  • MSI KT6 Delta( Via KT600) works with mobiles???

Hello, just bought today a used cpu, it's a Athlon XP mobile 2000+ for my MSI KT6 DELTA...
It just won't boot... i turns on and off after a second or less...
    Is this an unsupported cpu??
I've searched on teh msi page for cpu support, and I have my doubts...
Here's what's qritten on the CPU Core:  AXMH2000FQQ3C
    For waht i understand it's a Thoroughbred/barton based cpu, 45W, works at 1667MHz, with FSB Autodetect, deafault V, 1.45, max temp 100º C, 256kb cache, 266 MHz bus...
It's said on the main page of this board, that it's supports 400MHz FSB's...
    HELP PLEASE!!!

lose the sarcasm and the caps lock and you more likely to get advice
For what it is worth you are not making yourself clear.
    For example:-  Quote
It just won't boot... i turns on and off after a second or less...
    Quote
and to turn it back on with the cpu, i have to clear cmos data...
Let's assume cpu is correctly greased and seated; when you power on get no response (psu fan, cpu fan, case fan, beeps?) unless you clear cmos and then once you do that you get 1 sec of activity before system powers down?
have you put old cpu back in and still works?
i guess you will know more when you test new cpu elsewhere

  • MSI KT6 Delta-FISR (MS-6590 v2.0) & XP3200+ Can't get 200MHz FSB

    Hi,
Having searched for this common problem I have purchased a new PSU (Antec True Power 2 550w) so I don't think it is this. The memory is meant to be compatible according to the crucial site too.
Basically I changed from an ASRock mobo (no 4 pin CPU power connector) to the KT6 to get onboard firewire. The same CPU had been working in the ASRock mobo at 200Mhz FSB with a SilentMaxx PSU (fanless +3.3v /28A, +5v/35A, +12v/16A). As I had moved the computer from the lounge to study I changed the PSU when I installed the KT6 to an Antec True 380SP (+3.3v /28A, +5v/35A, +12v/24A) to get a reduction in temperature.
The system booted with a FSB of 100Mhz. So I changed in the BIOS FSB to 200Mhz and the system wouldn't get to the XP login page. I then tried steps up from 100Mhz and got to 120Mhz. After searching here I saw the PSU issue and so changed to the SilentMaxx. This would get past the login page at 200Mhz but would crash within 2 minutes.
I then changed to an Advance PSIV-500-2 (+3.3v /30A, +5v/32A, +12v/16A). This would login at 200MHz and was stable until you did anything CPU intensive - 2 mins of divx encoding caused the crash.
So now for the Antec True Power 2, it gets past the login screen but won't load the desktop. Starting at 100Mhz I can get to 125MHz, so I'm now worse than with the original Advance PSU.
So, with the changes being seen whenever the PSU is changed the indications are that it is the PSU, but now with the new Antec True Power 2 550w I can't believe it is still that.
    Any ideas?

    Hi again.
Well I've finally got around to doing the XP repair. The good news is that the system boots and stays up under normal usage at 200MHz. The bad news is that under stress (encoding video) it reboots with the following error:
    Error code 0000000a, parameter1 ffe00124, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 804db848.
I have searched the internet and can't find any mention of '804db848' or 'ffe00124'. So am now thinking the board may be bad?
I have set my memory to CL3, with timings of 3-3-8 and voltage of 2.6v (as per manufacturer recommendations) and this memory did not cause problems on my ASRock board.
    Two things I have noticed:
    1. The case temp is very high, under idle CPU = 48C and case = 41C, under stress CPU = 58C and case = 51C. I have two 120mm case fans and the PSU has a 120mm fan too. My hard disks are 28C and 29C. When I had the ASRock board in the same case with the same fans etc it never went above 36C (which I thought was still quite high).
    2. After searching this board I found a post that stated they had success at 192MHz FSB but unstable on 200MHz (K7N board). I will now try this and kick off the video encoding again and report back.

don't really need more power, the only thing I want, is USB2.0, Firewire400, optical audio output, onboard Raid and some more oc features
Well, you'll like the KT6 Delta FIS2R for sure.
Of all the mobo's ive studied, none have as many USB2 inputs on the back of the board where all the other ports are. This has 6 ready for direct use without any pci slot blocking dongles. (8 with the USB2/Diagnostic lights dongle installed).
It sure has optical output, but the sound quality from it isnt as good as an Audigy.
The promise controller is very good, letting you use 2 PATA and 2 SATA at the same time.
Firewire use a pci slot blocking dongle but has 3 sockets (2 big and 1 small)
As for OC, ive tried above 200mhz FSB (208 Mhz) but it was a little unstable, not sure why, never really tested it out.

  • KT6 Delta FISR gaming crashes

I have been having problems for a few weeks now, with random unexplainable crashes whilst gaming, sometimes the PC just drops back to windows XP, other times the whole machine just resets and reloads and tells me that windows has recovered from a serious error (send, don't send error report) caused by a device driver, still other times I get a BSOD with varying messages:PFN_LIST CORRUPT, IRQL_LESS NOT EQUAL, and then there is the scrambled unreadable BSOD accompanied by a loud sound from the speakers followed by reset and error report.
I must stress that this problem only occurs when gaming, Sim City 4 being its favourite victim, all other processes are unaffected, I can edit photos, surf and do all office work type apps.
I have tried reinstalling windows XP several times using various methods described in other threads but to no avail

o_0Received a new KT6 Delta at begining of Jan, everything was working fine, but lately the thing seems to be exhibiting exactly the same behaviour as the last one (as well as having the cold reboot thing).  These symptoms seem to be getting worse as time goes on, this is really unusual, normally if you have a hardware prob it doesn't come on over time, does it?
This is really annoying all of my hardware ran fine when I put it back on my Abit AT7Max2, I did about 75 hours of gaming, and not a crash in sight.
Has anyone got any more insights into this problem

  • MSI KT6 Delta wont boot

My MSI KT6 Delta system no longer boots any further than the memory test? why? any ideas? any solutions other than replacing the motherboard etc.
    some background:
    motherboard: MSI KT6 Delta
    CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800
    Memory: 1Gb branded
    Graphics: Geforce FX 5200 AGP
    PSU: Antec TrueBlue 480
Screen displays the memory test then a message relating to BIOS setup i.e. "Del: BIOS Setup" plus a new option i dont remember seeing previously namely "F10: Flash recovery" btw pressing 'del' doesn't help you cant get into the BIOS setup.  Having cleared the CMOS via JBAT1 i now just get the MSI Welcome screen.  If it helps the D-Bracket displays a red led top left.
its all a bit odd really, everything was fine on Friday night, but come Saturday morning its all gone pear shaped.
    any help appreciate

OK. Well, the procesor is where I'd start troubleshooting.
Step one would be to unplug power cable and other cables on the back of the computer, wait a while ( you'll hear a faint zzipp  ), and then move JBAT jumper in order to clear CMOS. That will force you into BIOS.
Eh, thought of something. BIOS will stop sometimes if it can't find a keyboard. And you say entering BIOS is impossible. Perhaps you have more than one problem? a) processor's BIOS settings are impossible, b) the keyboard hinders you from entering BIOS. However, the CMOS clearing should in either case be a good start.
Your problem very much reminds of what happened to me and others while playing with CoreCenter. I know you didn't but can't help saying so.

I push the button to start the computer and the fans come on.Nothing else happens until I press the reset button, then it starts normally. However it does search for a raid device every time it boots, None are connected so is there a way to make it stop searching? It sometimes hangs on that screen for 10 to 15 seconds.

Also, since there is nothing to control the pci and agp busses, if i reached 200FSB, would this be really bad for the pci and agp bus? if not too bad, how bad on a scale of 1 to 10? and what's at risk? (or am i missing some options in the bios?)

    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=474
Ok before i bought this motherboard i used to have a ABIT KT7 Raid and it all worked well!
But i wanted a new 1 so i bought the MSI mobo.
The setup in my case didnt change at all i only replaced the motherboard.
I started it up and it couldnt find the HD's on IDE1 ...But it did find the CDroms , dvd etc on IDE2.
I changed it around so i had the HD's on IDE2 and CDROM's on IDE2 ...but it didnt startup after that ...
I changed them back and again it only found the CDrom's .
I thought hmz maybe i broke something who knows so i changed back to the old mother board and it worked well again
So it had to be the motherboard i thought ...so i went back ...got a new 1 same brand / type etc.
Again i did the same but now AGAIN it didnt find the HD's on IDE1 ...but it DID find the HD's on IDE2 .....
So now im stuck with only 1 HD and a dvd burner
What could be the problem ?
I tried everything....from " master/slave "  and only 1 HD or only 2 HD's etc but then it either cant find the disks or it wont startup at all ....

  • KT6 Delta-FISR V2 fresh WinXP installation hang

    Hola
I have recently bought a KT6-Delta FISR MoBo with a Athlon XP 2400+ and have encountered some problems.
After the MoBo finally managed to recognize the HDD and CD-ROM i have tried to install WinXP Pro. After boting from CD-ROM the inspection of the hardware setup takes forever and when initializing windows setup it runs sloooooooow before the system hangs when loading the initial system files. (like kernel debugger etc.).
When monitoring the temperatures in BIOS I get the impression that everythings nice and cool.
The system recognizes my CPU as 1800+ and the DRAM at 266MHz.
The PATA-IDE controller is enabled and the ATA-IDE disabled. (not using neither SATA nor RAID) i have tried to fiddle with the FSB and DRAM freq's but it crashed my system. Any suggestions to why my system wont get past Windows initial installation? To weak power? BIOS/hardware error/misconfig?
By the way, what is Broadcom NetXtreme Ethernet Boot Agent? Something which can/shoud be disabled?
    Hail Santa!

By the way, everything is up and running.
The problem turned out to be the TDK CD-ROM which wouldn't read the WinXP CD.
Switched to my Plextor and "voila" I'm in business
The AOpen power works just fine and gives plenty of juice.
Now the FSB runs at 133Mhz and the system shows my Athlon XP 2400+ processor correct.

  • No DVD Sound - KT6 Delta FISR

    Hello,
I'm in trouble with my motherboard KT6 Delta FISR : drivers are installed, configured, everything is ok, music is working, video CD also, but no sound if I try to run a DVD !?!? No mean to get sound on the analog output. Tried everything but cannot find the solution.
I think it could be a problem with sound output, for example sound only going on the digital output SPDIF and not on the anallog, but I need help to change that !
Can anyone help me please ?
    Thanks a lot
    Chris

    Hi,
Yes I'm quite sure, it's not the first time I configure an MSI motherboard, settings are tu rear output, and configured for stereo speakers. Music, wav, VCD is working, only DVD has no sound. Is there a special setting, hided somewhere, that would be something like "disable analog output if digital sound present" ?
    Thanks

  • MSI KT6 Delta-L sound problems

Hi, I have an annoying problem. My sound gets disorted and after one or two seconds I get a Blue Screen..
This only seems to happend with Operation Flashpoint Resistance and Lock On Air Combat (both uses a lot of memory). Computer is rock stabile unless this.
I have tried both Win2k/XP and flashing my BIOS to the most rescent one, as well as the drivers.. I have also tried without the PCI-cards, and disabled some features at the motherboard, but with no help.
But when I used Via AC97 drivers instead of C-Media, it crash no more (aswell as no sound drivers at all), but I have no surround sound (I suppose that driver don't support my sound chip fully)...

I had a smilar problem with this same board it was power supply related...
Please check that the HDD spins up
and that you video card is properly seated
