MSI Master TV@anywhere

Hello to all!
Recently I bought MSI Master TV@anywhere TV card as aditional to my MSI FX-5600 VTDR ViVo video card. I have problems with it that I did not expected. I can not add another external video source at all. I can get picture from my VCR but no sound. I connected the Audio out of my VCR to MSI Audio in and there is no sound. I tried everything and every possible combination but without success. Simply, MSI TV card does not recognize the Audio signal on its own input.
The second thing, which is even worse, whenever I start MSIPVS I have to start from the begining as the sound is not supported. Then, I have to change the TV system to "Germany", press OK, return to the screen (blue, no picture) then return to the settings for my country which uses PAL-B system which is the same as in Germany. Then, I got the the picture and the sound. Also, I can not apply my settings for Brightness/Contrast/Saturation/TV system etc. Whenever I close the MSIPVS, it looses settings.
I was advised not to buy this card but, I trusted to MSI and I did it. It seems to me that I made a big mistake...
If anybody knows something about new patch for its software I would be very thankful!
By the way, I have Win' 2000 OS and PIII/1GHz with 512 RAM.
Thank You all on your time!
With kindest regards,

Is your TV card audio connected to your sound card? I suggest using the internal connector. However, it is better to simply use your line-in on your sound card and bypass the audio on your tv card completely. Just be sure to change your audio source settings appropriately.

  • MSI Master 7 6341 Dead after Liveupdate 2

I just installed the live update 2 program on my computer. I ran the update, and it suggested I update the BIOS. I allowed it to update the BIOS. It automatically rebooted. It will no longer boot up.
    Specs:
    MSI Master 7 6341
    640 MB DDR PC2100 Memmory
    80GB Maxtor HDD
    AthlonXP 1800+
    ATi Radeon 9500 Pro
The computer had been running fine for 1.5 years. I installed live update 2. It upgraded the bios. Now it will not boot. LEDs read two green two red.
    Please advise.

The fastest way to get it fixed is http://www.badflash.com or http://www.flashbios.org (order new pre flashed bios chip).
You can also try a hot swap flash if you know what you are doing.
Last option is to contac MSI office, usually they will send a bios if live update was the cause, but that takes longer.

  • [TV@Master] TV@anywhere MSIPVS won't load

TV@anywhere card that was working fine in old XP machine. Moved it to new Abit AA8XE Fatl1ty machine. Cloned OS of the old machine, XP Pro SP2
Uninstalled/re-installed MSIPVS and driver numerous times.
TV card is detected and show working in Device Manager
    Radio works fine
Winamp TV plugin runs channel scan and selects channels, get audio but no video.
The InterVideo app starts to load then dumps out.
No errors showing in Event Viewer.
Not concerned with cideo capture or recording, all I want to do is watch tv with the thing!
Limited on switching PCI slots as the mobo only has 2 and one is blocked by the water cooler. No IRQ conflicts.
    Suggestions and/or alternate software?

is the PVS beta 3.0 useable on TV@anywhere PCI card or only TV@Master usb card?
No, I am not doing any fresh install. System cloned over from old machine.
I do see some Intervideo files that an uninstall failed to remove.
I will uninstall and clean all the MSI entries and reg clean and then re-install.
Card works ok with Winamp TV plugin. I can get channels and picture but resolution full screen is not satisfactory and no remote.

The problem I'm having is that when I'm in SLI mode and I'm in a game, namely BF2 or Desert Combat I get these small black squares that look like static everytime I move my mosue to look in game from side to side. Or when I fly an aircraft in the game these small static black squares are everywhere. When I play with jjust one card everything is fine. I don't have the cards overclocked. As far as the drivers that I'm using, they are the 77.30 version. Before this started happening I used these drivers and everythng worked just perfect. Also when I'm in SLI mode I get frequent lock up's and system craches. Dose anyone have any idea what's going on and causing this?  I really need some answers here. Thanks for anyone who assists me with this.

  • Cannot find BT master socket to test broadband

House is less than 18months old and had all phone sockets installed prior to moving in as first occupants. BT line connected after 2weeks. Engineer did not enter house. Now have problem with broadband and have been told I need to connect the router to the BT master socket for test purposes but cannot find one! All internal sockets are standard phone sockets.
BT line comes up from ground outside on front wall near door in a BT 'Openreach' box which is a flip-down, secured by a screw. On opening this the BTincoming  connection is sealed, then there is a plug, which if removed disconnects the internal lines. Then there is a connector to which the blue/white/orange leads coming out from through wall from inside the house (white covered cable) are connected. The other side of this wall is underneath the built-in kitchen units and has no master socket anywhere.
Have been banging my head trying to explain to ISP that I cannot connect to a master socket as cant find one. Should I have one or is the outside box all I get? If so, how do I connect the computer to the (6 pin) socket outside?

New build properties are now being fitted with a new Network Terminating Equipment box, the XNTE, instead of the previous NTE5 master socket. This is fitted outside the property and BT responsibility ends at the XNTE. This is the box you referred to with the flip-down cover. It contains all the master socket components. The socket in the XNTE is a BT test point and requires a special plug - it is for BT use only.
In order to eliminate your internal wiring you would need to connect a standard slave socket at the XNTE in place of the white covered cable. Make a note of the way the existing cable is connected. The official connections are pin 2 - Blue, 3 - Brown, 4 - green, 5 - Orange.

  • SB Audigy 2 zs he

Hi everyone need some serious hep here please bare with me as it'ss a long story. I left my computer on over for the past three day processing stuff when I awoke there was a little bit o condensation inside my pc so I shut the system down and cleaned throughout unfortunately the moisture had killed my sound blaster audigy 2 platinum 6. card everything else had survi'ved from what I can tell anyway. The front breakout box seemed ok so I decided to simply just replace the card and bought a SB audigy 2 7. ZS card from my local dealer slotted it in place of my old card and uninstalled all the old drivers ect and began to install the new drivers, up till now I have tried the latest Bata openGL drivers for this card the previous ones before hat from creative download centre and the drivers that came with the installation disk.
The problem I am having is simple everything installs perfectly but there is no playback from my speakers, after checking the audio options o the control panel and all the different creative control panels ect that come with the card ensuring that nothing is muted tried the speaker diagnostics and the hardware diagnostics everything passed obviously he speaker one played no sound. Due to the fact that my original card died I assumed that maybe my speakers also died in the process so I purchased some creative I-Trigue 2200 speakers in place and still sound if anyone would know what this is please help
    System info
Running windowsXp service pack 2 all updates
On the msi master-2 far motherboard
Audigy is in the fourth pci slot (there isn?t room inside for it to go anywhere else!)
By the way I can get audio through the front break out box via head phones if tat helps any. Thank you for any help recieved.

your first error has been not to maintain your computer clean (moisture?! omg!).
your second error has been to plug the ZS to the Audigy 2 dri've which is said incompatible with the ZS (also known has Audigy 3) without searching if not dangerous for your hardware.
your third error has been to uninstall your old drivers after plugged in the new card (but logically it's not a problem, if it is it can lead to bad uninstallation and then screwing an OS installation in the badest case).
first clean all Creative drivers and applications. then unplug the breakout box. reinstall your card and let see what happens.

  • Pin layout for TV out header on RS480M2-il motherboard

    Hello,
Does anyone know where I might find the pin information for the TV out header on this board (MS-7093)? I have the version with the COM port on the back panal rather than the TV out connectors, and can't find the MSI TV bracket anywhere, but have found something I could use if I knew which pin carried the composite signal.
Is there any risk of damaging anything if I just go by trial and error; there are five pins on the motherboard, the others being for s-video.
    Thanks for any advice,

  • MC40: Some materials don't have ABC Indicator

    Hi Experts,
I run MC40 in background with 13000+ materials using usage value in % strategy, most of it has its ABC indicator updated while some are still blank. Are there any indications (in Material Master or anywhere) that those materials with "blank" ABC indicator are excluded in MC40 run?
    Points will be awarded.
    Regards,
    LM

    Hi
MC40 takes all the materials for Analysis, not only the materials whcih have ABC indicator.
you select this checkbox, the ABC indicator calculated in the document evaluation will be changed in the material master. You can only use this option, however, when the evaluation runs in the background.
If you want to update the Materials ABC indicator you can slect the Check box
Update ABC Ind in Background Processing mode.

  • Opteron vs Athlon 64 in Raw Power terms

    Hi, guys.
I've my first experience dealing with opteron.
I've bought opteron 246, server mobo (not MSI, it's Tyan, I'm not sure if MSI Master series available here), ECC Reg RAM... phew, the price is very different with desktop PC component...
But it's not the problem (it's for my client however, not for my daily use...), and there's actually no problem  , I just want to ask some questions.
The question are: (this is for CPU raw power, not desktop vs server mobo features, nor about multi CPU support, ECC Reg / std. RAM, etc).
    1. With same core (and same cache, etc) is Opteron has advantage over Athlon 64?
    2. Is Opteron faster or/and have some additional structure/code that optimized for server task?
    3. If I build on soket 939 (there's some Opteron 939 on the market), is Opteron have advantage over Athlon 64 (with same core, same cache, etc)?
    4. Which will perform faster: dual CPU or dual core CPU? (don't say dual dual core CPU...    ) Err... for AMD, I don't care about Xeon
    Thanks!

Thanks, emm, yes it's gonna be a pure server, running sql server 2000 sp4 on win server 2003.
My friend reported (from his client) that opteron need some patches for some applications, and it's easier for xeon setup in terms of software compatibility.
Well, I doubt it ("easier for xeon setup..." ?!)...    but if it's true, then it can lead for some problems in future (as there's no admin to handle this server, I set it up, and they won't touch it).
Bas, for now it's only using 1 CPU (246), if I'm gonna upgrade to dual, does it need same batch (I know it need another 246) ? My friend said xeon have some issues with different batch.
    Thanks, guys.
nb: It'll wonderfull if I have dual dual core opteron 280 for my workstation...    , wonder if the price is below $1000... but it'll overpower however.

  • Trouble grabbing IP from modem with extreme

    Hey everybody,
First I want to say, thanks for taking the time to read.
I got a buddy who got a ubee U10C018 modem from his isp. He's trying to hook it up to his router, and doesnt seem to wanna give the router an ip.
I tried finding information on this modem, and research has come up pretty dull.
it seems that there is no default factory - or master reset anywhere on the modem, or even in the modem's config page.
I haven't been to his house to look at it yet. But he has a mac airport extreme.
The only 2 possibilities i can think of. Is the modem is looking for a specific mac address, that the router needs to spoof in order for it to work.
Or that airport or airlink he has, the default gateway is out of sink or out of range for the modem. I'm not sure if the airport routers, use 192.168.1.1 as default gateway. I think the default gateway for an extreme is 10.0.0.1 or something close to that.
Any help or tips is appreciated.

Hello Pcgamer316. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
It's always a good idea to perform a complete power recycle of all the networking components when making configuration changes.
    Please try the following:
o Power-down the modem, AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS), and computer(s); wait at least 10-15 minutes. Note: Order is not critical.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the AEBS; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
    o Power-up the computer(s).
The computer(s) should now have access to the Internet either connected by wire or wireless to the AEBS. Please post back the results.
If this still doesn't work. Power everything down again. This time before starting the power-up sequence, perform a "factory default" reset on the AEBS. To do so, simply hold the AEBS' reset button in while plugging into power. Continue to hold until the status light flashes; then release the reset button. Power-down the AEBS, and then, start the power-up sequence again.

  • 270x screen lines

Today I purchased 2 brand new MSI 270x video cards.
I installed the latest AMD Catalyst Control Center software.
Unfortunately, the cards periodically mess up and when certain applications, like Firefox, are open, the screen goes nuts with horizontal lines. that flicker on and off.
I have an Asus 270x in another machine and this issue was fixed with a bios update on that machine.
I cannot find a bios update for these MSI 270x cards anywhere though.
The serial numbers for each are 602-V303-07SB1312027***
Is there a bios update for these cards?
Here is a copy of the bios from one of the cards using GPU-Z

    Youtube video of the problems:
    youtube.com/watch?v=hn1BnqHrTkc&feature=youtu.be

I will post what you asked for, but could you please tell me, is there an updated bios for my card? or do i have the latest?
I am surprised that MSI does not simply have a download page for the user to see on their own.
As started in my second post, I have tried both video cards alone. The same problem is produced when tested alone.
