Msi mega stick 520 question

i just wonder if the belt clip in this player can be removed or is it fixed there i download the manual and there is nothing about that if someone who use this mp3 player can answer me it would be really helpful for me thanks a lot.

MEGA STICK 520 Firmware update?

Hi, well I´been searching and reading this forum for quite some time and I haven´t found answers to this questions and I though that maybe someone did, so here it is:
I own a MEGA STICK 520 and I found a firmware update MS5520v0.2.0_FW.zip (2005-8-17) but I want to know exactly what does it changes, so if someone did the update, what does it do? And did you have any problems installing it? because I´ve read too many threads about players dying or allmost.
Is it the first firmware update? cause aparently for what i´ve read a lot of firmware with problems were solved with new versions.

Ps: sorry for my english, i´m from argentina. and please don´t answer me "just do it man!", because it cost me a lot of money and i can´t afford to kill it. I have two good reasons for doing the update, it´s really annoying that the player starts reproducing an album in the middle when it is prefectly organiced (in fact if you go manually to the first track it will play perfectly fine), and that the volume increases exponentialy.

The latest firmware feature is more little bug, thus please update the latest F/W (v0.2.0)!!
Update items is as follows:
1. Fixed bug: When manage “playlist” and power off, after power on “playlist” will be disorder.
2. Fixed bug: The file name will be cut under “playlist” mode.
3. Fixed bug: When didn’t use a long time, the screen wasn’t display.
Please do according to firmware update procedure of the following:

5. As you update firmware that you can select "format data area" and after update success, you can release of your finger. (While mega stick can't be recognized by PC please add this procedure)
Please note: While mega player can't be recognized by PC, please don’t put battery with update firmware.

Or may be anybody can describe how can i make it self (format of resource.bin or other info?)

MSI mega stick 128 Shut down problem

I have a problem , I have a MSI mega stick 128 and fron a litle time it has started tu Shut down or restart rondomley. At first it hapend from time to time but now it hapends 20 times a day . It is realy enoig. If yu have an ideea PLS tel me what to do . (I changed the firmware from the original to new versions but it didn't help .) Is there any hope left ?? I am desperate . MSI Mega Stick 511 Lite (without FM) 128MB won't skip songs

I just bought a MSI Mega Stick 511 Lite (without FM) 128MB. I am unable to skip to the next song when playing. I can fast forward the song but it won't let me skip to the next song. Does anyone have a similar experience or know the solution ?

I think it might be that i held the menu button too long. A quick flick to the left or right (letting go quickly) seems to make it work. P.S. The firmware upgrade to version 3 is good coz there is now a playlist option.

i tried formatting it using the ulitlity software which came along, but it doesn't help.

Hi, I have the same problem, I am using the MSI Mega Stick 256 4 months, everything worked fine so far. Suddenly the backlight died, and it cannot be re-enabled. Could it be just a software problem (Is there a firmware upgrade available?) or should I return the product and require replacement?

MSI Mega Stick 1 problem with Nforce 2? Look here

I love this stick, so I didn't give up to find a solution. With SP 1&2 it freezed when there is data communication. Now it's gone how?:

Actually i am having this problem also. Msi mega 256mb mega stick is not compatible with abit mobo NF7-s as i had tried to use it with other computers which is using nf7-s mobo also. But it comes to normal when i plug it into my my housemate computer which is not using nf7-s mobo. I am wondering of how to solve this problem for long long time already. Can anyone tell me how to solve it? Even i had updated the firmware to the newest but the problems still occur.
