MSI N520GT 2Gb DDR3 LP

Hello, I have problems installing the driver of this motherboard on my computer. When installing the driver, when I restart the PC, the windows are left in the boot. This happens to me with XP and 7.
my PC has the following configuration
Mother P5SD2-X ASUS, INTEL PENTIUM D 2.67GHz with 2 GB of Kingston RAM WD 500GB hard disk.
I tried to install the driver that came on the board, the latest version of the MSI site, update the BIOS and nothing.
The board's probe on another ASUS MB and wrong.
 thanks for the comments

    -1gb DDR3
    -250gb hd
This is my replacement with my 1year old hp mini 110 n280.
    My problem/our problem is this.
It seems we CANT upgrade the memory into 2gb ddr3 1066 single stick. i already tryd 2 Diffirent Brand Kingston and Team elite.
Store where i bought my laptop told me HP BIOS does not accept 2gb DDR3 only 1gb ddr3.
to HP team Please Release a bios that will support our hp mini 210 DDR3 variant to accept 2gb ddr3. since our old hp mini 110 accepts 2gb memory and some for the HP mini 210 DDR2 variant accepts 2gb.
Thanks im hopping for answer from HP. regarding this matter and release a new bios that will allow us users to upgrade to 2gb DDR3
    Much thanks!

    Hmmm...interesting...Mini 210 with new Atom processors (N475) should support 2GB of DDR3 1333...
What is the BIOS version do you have?

  • Problems connecting 1 monitor and 1 TV to 2gb DDR3 AMD Radeon 7570 video card.

I recently purchased an Hp h8-1360t computer with a 2gb DDR3 AMD Radeon 7570 video card and an Hp 2711 LED monitor. I am having problems connecting both the monitor (dvi) and a 50" Sony LCD TV (hdmi) with a 50' hdmi cable. When starting the computer, once the initial Win 7 boot up is finished, the monitor screen goes blank, except for the mouse pointer. When I turn on the tv and select the correct input source a normal Win 7 screen with icons appears on the tv. Only the wallpaper picture displays on the monitor and no icons. If play a dvd movie it will only show up on the tv with the sound coming from the speakers attached to the computer.
I would like to retain control of the computer using the monitor. I tried to set the monitor up as the primary display source using the monitor configuration menu, but it won't allow me to save the dvi connection as the primary display source. The documentation that came with the computer and what I was able to find on the Hp site is lacking....to say the least.
Any assistance with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tony

First I would disconnect the TV HDMI cable from the computer.  That should return the PC screen to normal.  May have to reboot to get normal.  Then reconnect the TV HDMI and go into the screen setup routine, paying attention to which screen is supposed to display what information.

  • Can I add 2x 2gb ddr3 to 16gb 27" iMac

    I have a 2014 27" retina imac with 16gb ram. Can I safely add 2 x 2gb DDR3 from a 2010 Macbook pro  for a total of 20gb? Samsung 2GB 2Rx8 PC3 each.

No, add the RAM that Apple recommends!

  • Can I install one 2GB DDR3 and one 4GB DDR3?

I have two 2GB DDR3 1333 Mhz sticks in my MacBook Pro. If I order a 4GB DDR3 stick, can I install my single 4GB and single 2GB stick and have 6GB of RAM or do I need to buy two 4GB DDR3 sticks so that each slot is equal?
If I can do this, can I put the 2GB DDR3 1333 MHz stick replaced from the MacBook Pro into a MacBook which takes DDR3 1066 Mhz. This MacBook would have 3GB total? One 1GB DDR3 1066 Mhz and one 2GB DDR3 1333 Mhz?

No, you need to put in the ram with the correct specifications.  If you dont, it could cause your mac to be unstable.

  • Sapphire Radeon HD4850 X2 2GB DDR3 VS. The Rest

    Sapphire Radeon HD4850 X2 2GB DDR3 Dual DVI / TVO PCI-Express Graphics Card
Wouldnt this be just as good if not better than running dual 5800 Series?
Basically 2G Per Card.  Has same stats as 4 1G DDR3 GPUS in 2 Cards.
Wouldnt this be Good or better in Crossfire than the standard 1G 5800 Series?
    Thoughs

If you compare the benchmarks then the 4870 X2 compares very well with the 5770 in CF mode or 5870 as single card.
So, I would say a 5870 in CF mode would really be the ultimate barring the 5970, being basically a 5870 X2.
The power consumption of the new 5XXX series is obviously a big consideration as well, supposedly a big improvement over the previous 4XXX generation.
But do some homework on the following pages:
    http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/gaming-graphics-cards-charts-2009-high-quality-update-3/benchmarks,70.html
There you can get a fair comparison on a per game and also benchmark basis.

  • MSI X48C Platinum ddr3 1600mhz problem

    Hi
    My PC Specs are
Intel core 2 quad Extreme Qx9770
    ATI HD4870X2
    Corsair 4GB DDR3-1600 Ram Kit (2 x 2GB, PC3 12800, 9-9-9-24, TW3X4G1600C9DHX)
    2xWD velociraptor 300gbx2 raid0
When I raise ram frequency to 1600mhz (1:2)-ram voltage always manually to 1.79- then windows don't boot and an error messege appears about missing files.
SPD are auto  and command rate to 2N(only here my pc boot).
Any idea how to fix this?

Please note what Corsair says in the datasheet for your modules:
    Quote
Every part is tested in Corsair's factory at 1600MHz, but your actual results may vary depending on the overclocking margin of
    your CPU and motherboard.
Your memory modules are DDR3-1333 memory modules with a permission to overclock & overvolt them to 1600 MHz @1.8V. However, without out an official guarantee that this will work in all cases.
You can try to increase the memory voltage a little more and to add a little extra voltage to the Northbridge/Memory Controller.  Make sure that Spread Spectrum is disabled at all times.

  • MSI 770-C45 DDR3 1600 Problems

    Hi people,
Sorry if this is a common problem but did look through the forum but couldnt quite find a problem like mine.
I have followed custom pc computer build for a gaming rig and have had hang ups randomly which allow me to do nothing but switch off system.
To cut a long story short i have tried everything to fix this but now it seems to be running ok as i have changed settings for ram to 9-9-9-24 and timing to 2T.
I have also set the volts up to 1.77 (or nearby) but i am wondering if this is correct thing to do. I am stress testing it now with prime95 and hoping these setting are correct.
    M/B=msi 770-c45
Mem=corsair dominator ddr3 1600 (2 sticks in same colour port which is blue)
    Proc=AMD athlon II 2 pro

If the system is stable, then dont change anything.
An AMD-cpu does NOT support 1600MHz -- that is, the memory controller can handle 1066MHz or so. If you set the memory frequency higher, then you are overclocking the system which may result in freezing or other system problems. By losening timings a bit (9-9-9-24 2T) you solved it. Now, keep on testing. If the lot stays stable, then don't change anything else.
Also, use CPU-Z to see what timings/frequency-combinations your memory can handle.

  • Msi 270x 2gb BF4 edition , boost not working?

    Hello ,
i own a msi 270x bf4 2gb edition , the card itself is nice and since i was helping a friend troubleshoot issues with his 280x (also msi) i was checking my own stats in cpuz and noticed that it always stays on 955mhz.
now on the website it says the following :
1030MHz Core (Boost Clock:1120MHz) (OC mode)
1030MHz Core (Boost Clock:1080MHz) (Gaming mode)
1030MHz Core (Boost Clock:1050MHz) (Silent mode)
    - I can manually set the core to 1030 as max in afterburner and that works .
If i install the msi gamer app and run that , it does not matter if i hit quiet , gaming or oc the clock rate goes to 975 and not higher (+ the fans wont spin properly)
whats going on here , am i missing something or ?

checked the case, but the VGA freq. is fine,
this card is not suppose to have higher clock.

Just because it says it was tested on intel setups doesn't mean it won't work with amd systems! Which its working fine on my amd setup at auto voltage running 1600Mhz I just wanted to know what the maximum voltage this msi board was ok with?

I recently purchased this motherboard (msi 880gm-e43), and Kingston HyperX 4GB KHX1600C9AD3K2/4G ram kit. However while both are supposed to support DDR3 1600MHz, I only get 1333 with the default configuration.
Do I need to change overclocking settings to get these working? If so how can I do that?
(Btw, SPD shows up to 1333 only, while MSI's control panel applications also has another entry for XMP-1600, which I do not exactly know how it differs).

I though I was able to do it. There was a simple option, which allowed 1600MHz with no issues.
But it turns out that mode comes with increasing DRAM timers. Is there a way to increase the clock speed, while keeping the timers fixed?
(I compared Windows Experience Index scores, it performs exactly the same in both those configurations).
There is this page, but it has no documentation, and I have no idea how to set it up:

  • Best configuration - MSI GeForce 8800GTS DDR3 Overclocked 512MB Dual DVI

    Hi there,
I purchased this 2 weeks ago and been trying to find out what is the best settings and drivers to use for this card as I still could not utilise this cards full potential.
    http://www.dabs4work.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=4V4H&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=msi+8800&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0
I am currently using the latest nvidia drivers downloaded from the MSI website and latest DualCore Centre.
The games I play is Counter-Strike Source and I can't seem to yield this cards full potential and one reason could be because I am using PCI-E 1.0?
I upgraded to this card from a nvidia 7900GS which gave me 40-80FPS on Counterstrike Source.
The nvidia 8800GTS OC 512 now gives me only 60-110FPS which I believe is not a massive improvement for the price paid for an upgrade (both the 7900GS and 8800GTS I've setted on CS:S to have low video settings and resolution of 1280x1020)
What settings do people use on both CS:S and Nvidia setting to maximise this cards full potential? Should I set on use game settings or set the nvidia option slider to performance or customise certain settings?
What drivers and OC program is best to use? Should I continue to use DualCore Centre which allows the D.O.T and/or use official UMA drivers directly from Nvidia website? Please suggest/advise best combinations or settings or programs!
I read from somewhere that I need to use a minimum resolution for 8800 cards, if so does anyone know what it is? my monitor resolution only allows maximum of 1280x1020.
    Any help would be appreciated!
