MSI NIC DRIVER ISSUES

Hi
I am having issues trying to get the drivers for the REATEK GBE/FE NIC using SCCM sp2 R1 to an MSI AIO. (MSI -AE2081) with the target OS being XPSP3
The Drivers will install manually using the setup.exe but when I take the appropriate drivers and INF file, and create a driver package added to the task sequence, I see SCCM copying them and adding them to the UPnP path, but they are not installed after a system reboot.
The drivers are taken from the following link..
ftp -ftp2 - msi - com - AE2081 - XP
In addition to downloading all drivers at this location, I have gone to the Vendors Website (RealTek) and using both the links for the PCIe GBE and PCIe FE family of drivers, taken the XP drivers.
I have taken all drivers for the Server, Workstation and AIO NIC’s.
None of these seem to be the correct driver. This assumption is based on SCCM not installing them using the PnP manager as described above.
I know XP is EOL but XP is the preferred system OS.
This issue is not in the PXE stage but post WIM being applied on first system reboot.
Has anyone seen this before or have a suggestion as to what I am doing incorrectly?

  • Windows 2008 R2 iSCSI Boot LUN - NIC driver issue

    Hello,
I've gotten the opportunity to create a win2k8r2 golden image that will be deployed to IBM3650 M3's over
iSCSI boot LUNs. I have a need to update the on-board Broadcom 1Gb NICs from the drivers that come with the installation media. I am able to load the drivers that I need without any issue, the system survives multiple re-boots and displays the expected driver
version via device manager. After I prepare the image I run sysprep, sysprep runs smoothly and the system shuts down as expected. At this point I unmap the existing LUN and clone the sysprep'ed image out.
This is where I run into trouble, if I update to the latest Broadcom driver the OS fails to boot, the host
logs into the LUN successfully and I get the Windows splash screen after a bit the screen goes black and I get no response from windows at all. With this behavior I would generally expect that there is some issue with my unattend file but if I don't upgrade
the driver there are no problems, windows boots normally, and  the post install process runs successfully. After some digging I saw that I might be running into KB974072. Just as the article suggested I inserted the necessary drivers into the installation
media. Unfortunately this produced the same result.
I've got PersistAllDeviceInstalls set to "true" in the generalize pass of the unattend so sysprep
should not be making any changes to the drivers. If anyone has any ideas on what else, if anything, I can put in the unattend to get sysprep to leave the drivers alone or any thoughts on this issue at all I would greatly appreciate it!
    Regards,
    Toll_Hou5e

    Hi,
First, try to set the registry key before capture the image.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\Sysprep\Settings\sppnp set
    PersistAllDeviceInstalls to
    1.
If it doesn’t work, we can try another to way, inject driver packet during installation.

  • MSI GT780R driver issues.

I will start off I am not a CPU expert but if someone could help point me in the right direction that would be awesome.  I recently had a CPU crash about 1 month ago.  I lost everything on both hard drives.  I was having issues getting drivers so I brought my CPU to a local shop.  They fixed it for me installed all the proper drivers (well I think) etc.   I feel like I am missing some key drivers though and without the CD that came with my CPU I don't know how to get them.
    1. I am missing the drivers that control the Hotkeys above the keyboard.  The ones that control wifi, overclocking, etc
    2.  I no longer have the power option of "Gaming Mode" not sure what driver that is
I also feel like a lot of my drivers are out of date cpu feels more sluggish.
If anyone can steer me in the direction where I could download these drivers that would be awesome,  I also know I am very brief with descriptions if you need any information about anything specific please ask and I will provide. Thanks

  • MSi R7770 Driver Issues

I recently upgraded my Video Card from an AMD Radeon HD 7000 (not sure if this is the name) to the MSi R7770. I tried to update my Drivers by downloading them on the website (just google MSi R7770 and it will come up).
Every time I try to install the new driver, it installs the driver for my old graphics card and the quality of my screen goes really grainy and I have a black border around the edge of my screen. But when I uninstall the old driver it goes back to being perfect but I have a bad  fps on every thing I do.
I am getting really f**king frustrated with this. I have been tinkering for about an hour now trying to get this to work. I've tried re-installing only for it to look horrible and grainy again and then I uninstall the old driver and try again. Nothing has worked and I have resorted to this.
I have a strong feeling there is a really obvious solution to this but I am too nooby to see it :P
Any help/input would be greatly appreciated.

  • App-V 5 SP2 install issue with Intel NIC Driver 11.16.96.0

When deploying App-V 5 SP2 using SCCM 2007 it will install with no problem on the machine.  However, when the user reboots after the install the machine will blue screen.  The user then reboots again and machine comes up to the desktop.  However,
the App-V service is not running and is still set to automatic.
Looking at the Blue Screen dmp file the common theme looks to be a conflict with an Intel NIC driver version 11.16.96.0.  Machines running an older version of the driver do not experience the issue with the blue screen after reboot and the App-V service
    starts with no issues.
Has anyone seen this issue before?

Version 19 appears to be the latest: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=18713&lang=eng&ProdId=3025
Have you tested with this version instead?

  • MSI P4M900M2-L ~Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Issue Resolved In XP!

Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Issue Resolved!  MSI P4M900M2-L Intel Dual Core VIA P4M900 Chipset 8 CH Azalia Audio.
There is an issue w/ the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for the MSI P4M900M2-L Intel Based Dual Core Via P4M900 Chipset based Motherboard w/ MS XP Home Premium Installed (Vista driver installs fine as I have built 4 of these in the last week, but the XP Audio driver doesn't).
I could not get either Audio driver from the CD driver disk nor the MSI site to install w/ Win XP Home installed. Live Update for that Motherboard does not contain the Audio Driver either.
After 3 days and multiple attempts to use MSI's very wanting (in my opinion), Technical Support forms and call-in line, I hunted, and hunted and found the driver(s) on CNET. They not only work great but as designed. I had almost given up and I actually installed an add-in sound card....But this is a machine for a customer. Then I searched again and found a real solution.
Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers are located on CNET.com's download page:

Good luck to everyone, this will save you RMA'ing those boards over a stupid Audio driver issue, as they are great w/ the Intel Dual Core 775 CPU's from 2.0~3.0Ghz. Can't really tell the difference between the 2 CPU's w/ the Dual Core Program running (a utility supplied on the driver disk or on the Driver site!) I have built both..2 of each.

  • MSI GTX 760 Driver Issues

    Hi there,
I've recently been having issues with my GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming edition OC. The problem arose after a windows update, and since then I've had major driver issues with the card. The card simply does not work with drivers installed, only working if I uninstall the drivers and use the firmware on the card. I attempted a system restore to the point before the update, re-installing the card and a multitude of different drivers (The ones that came with the card, Msi website, Nvidia website etc) and I always have the same problem. I have since formatted my hard drive and installed windows 8.1 on an ssd, which didn't fix the problem. I am currently using the onboard Graphics, specs are as follows:
    Mobo: MSI Z87-G43
GFX Card: MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr gaming OC
    PSU: Corsair TX650m
    CPU: Intel Core I5 4670K at 3.4ghz
    HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200Rpm
Samsung 840 Evo 120Gb (Os is installed here)
OS: The problem arose on Windows 7 64bit Professional and continued ont Windows 8.1 enterprise (Currently in use)
The system worked with no problems for months and only arose recently and I'd be happy to provide more information. Thank you for reading and any recommendations would be most appreciated,
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Johnny.

You don't need to uninstall the drivers of the Intel HD. Remove nvdia drivers in safemode using >>Driver Fusion<< and simply reboot with the GTX760 installed and the INtel driver not removed. Install latest vga driver: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/71704/en-us
If still issues try the card in the Gen2  slot of your board.
I didnt explain it well, Id uninstall the nvidia drivers using my intel gfx, but when I reinstalled the drivers on my gfx card was when I had issues. The card worked fine off its firmware (I didn't try any games) but any driver installation messed it up

  • MSI Z77a-G45 graphics driver issue.

    MSI Z77a-G45 graphics driver issue.
Trying to install the graphics drivers for this board from the MSI site, I but every time I do so on loading windows 7 my monitor just goes to sleep and I have to roll back the driver in safe mode. This is the same for the driver found in the windows 7 updates.
Iv downloaded the files a few times over and reinstalled windows twice and the problem remains. Can anyone suggest anything? Is there something I’m missing or need to set in the UEFI bios for using the onboard graphics?
    MSI Z77A-G45, i5-3570K, 2x 8GB Corsair memory, Windows 7 64bit.
    Thanks.

    My BIOS is E7752IMS V2.10
    Iv already downloaded  V2.A
However  I have to say the guide at uk.msi.com/service/biosupdate/ , appears to be putting v2.2 on top of v2.2.
it also says "Download the BIOS that matches your motherboard and version number to your USB device."
I'm not entirely sure what is meant by 'version number' but it dose suggest i need to download V2.10 not V2.A ... call me picky but i want to be sure! lol.
Can anyone confirm ether way? It dose seam rather odd!
    Thanks.
    **edit
    Update on my graphics issue
With the default driver, just before the windows 7 log in screen appears. I was getting a portion of it appear first on the bottom 1/8 of the screen. Now its appears to be a snowstorm of bad graphics and its the same when I switched to using HDMI instead.
Not sure if that's a good sign!
For reff my screen is a HP LP2475w tho I'm rather sure there is nawt wrong with the screen.

  • MSI GE60 Wireless Issues Intel Centrino

So I have some problems with my wireless connection sometimes, most of the time it works alright but sometimes all of a sudden it wont let me connect to networks and sometimes when I troubleshoot my connection or network it always says that I have not been assigned an IP-address.  It also does not let me release/renew my ipconfig in the commandline interface in Windows 8. I think I had the same problems when I was using Windows 7 though but I can't say for sure since it was a while ago since I had windows 7 installed.
I'm almost 100% sure it's not the service provider's fault since other devices in the house do not suffer the same issue and this has occurred at school and other places as well.
Basically when I am not assigned an ip-address I either have to reboot the entire system or keep deactivating and activating my wireless and troubleshoot it many times before it works again. But every time I troubleshoot it and it finds the error it is because I am not assigned an ip-address. And sometimes even rebooting it doesn't work and I sometimes end up spending almost an entire hour just trying to get back online which is very frustrating. Could this be due to a faulty NIC or is it the drivers? Because I have the latest drivers installed from MSI's website and I have also tried installing the Windows 7 drivers as well but it has been the same result there.
If it is a driver thing, will there be an update which fixes it? If it is a hardware error, is it covered by the warranty? Also I'm not sure if I still have warranty since when I turned the laptop in on my warranty a few weeks ago the "warranty void" sticker under my laptop was not replaced when the laptop was returned to me (something which I just noticed recently).
Edit: I noticed there was an update for my NIC driver on intel's website so I will try that out and post again if it didn't resolve the issue.

Kind of sounds like the hardware is going bad.
    Here's my thoughts.....
    1. If it's out of warranty, that's not terrible. The wireless card in these laptops is cheap (<$50 on ebay after shipping).
    2. If it's in warranty, it's probably easier and cheaper to still buy it on ebay ($30 or so to ship it to MSI in the states and feel 'safe' about the insurance).
If an updated driver doesn't seem to help, just go onto ebay and buy another card. They are cheap, and while it sucks that it's bad, the cheapest option is to just replace it yourself.
If you still want to go the MSI warranty route, >>How to contact MSI.<<

  • Incredibly slow MacBook, Internal Hard Drive issues...

Good morning everybody! I'm apologize if this post is extremely wordy...
I am extremely baffled by a particular issue with a MacBook 2.0GHz C2D which belongs to a friend of mine. The warranty is expired.
    _Brief history:_
Several months ago, this MacBook could not find a bootable volume. The drive would not mount when booting from an external FireWire hard drive. It would not mount when the MacBook was put in Target Disk Mode and connected to another Mac. When booting from an external USB hard drive or with my MacBook Pro connected to the MacBook via Target Disk Mode, the MacBook booted up quickly. I came to the conclusion that the internal hard drive must have failed and needed to be replaced. Ultimately, the data was not recoverable from this drive.
I then proceeded to swap out the defective Apple OEM Seagate hard drive with a known working Apple OEM Fujitsu hard drive. When booting from the Leopard Install DVD, the MacBook would boot incredibly slow, but would finally reach the Installer Language screen. When proceeding to install Leopard, the drive would take a very long time to have data written to it, and ultimately the install failed. I removed the new hard drive from the MacBook and placed it in an external USB enclosure, attached it to the MacBook and booted from the Leopard Install DVD. Leopard would install successfully. I removed the hard drive from the enclosure and reinstalled it the MacBook. When booting from the freshly installed OS, the MacBook would take a very long time to boot. The MacBook is extremely slow!!!
I checked the Activity Monitor to ensure CPU & System Memory Usage was not going crazy. All Processes where normal with adequate CPU & Memory headroom.
I took the MacBook apart thinking that the SATA Controller Cable might be loose. No, it was firmly in place. I reassembled the MacBook and booted it up again. Still incredibly slow!
Finally, after several reboot attempts, the MacBook would book up quickly and operation was perfect. I applied all updates and continued testing the MacBook with great success. Gave my friend his MacBook back and he was grateful.
    _Now for the kicker..._
My friend brought me his MacBook a week ago complaining that the MacBook was operating extremely slow (much like when I was initially testing it before). I verified the MacBook was slow when I tried using it. I tried several reboots and then it would get stuck on the gray Apple with spinning gear.
I tried booting into Single User Mode, but it gets stuck on "Waiting for root device"
I put the MacBook in Target Disk Mode and connected it to my G5 2.0GHz Dual Core. The hard drive would mount quickly on the G5 and I used Disk Utility to create a Restore Image. The disk operation would perform normally and the image would be created successfully.
I then partitioned the MacBook's hard drive when connected to the G5, ejected and proceeded to attempt OS reinstall. No dice! The hard drive is not even detected by the Disk Utility on the Leopard Install DVD.
Finally after several reattempts, the hard drive is recognized, but is extremely slow when trying to reinstall...and again, ultimately install fails. Using Disk Utility from Leopard Install DVD, the hard drive fails to unmount when I try formatting.
I don't have Apple Hardware Test disc for the MacBook or Apple Service Diagnostics disc for this model. Running TechTool Pro shows hardware to be okay, disk controller onboard the Fujitsu drive is okay, but running SMART & Surface Scan takes a long, long time (which I'm certain will ultimately error out). Running Drive Genius takes a long, long time as well.
    Conclusion:
I think the SATA Controller Cable is defective. I can't think of anything else that would cause disk errors or performance issues like this. Your input is truly appreciated!

Even though no one responded to my post, I thought I'd share the resolution with the entire Apple community. I hope this information will be helpful to some of you with MacBooks or MacBook Pros that may be running painfully slow or may be exhibiting hard drive issues because your machine won't recognize the boot drive or fails to properly boot on a perfectly healthy S.M.A.R.T. verified hard drive. It just might be the hard drive connector/cable. Here it goes...
I visited my local Apple Retail Store and asked a "Genius" at the Genius Bar about this issue and told him my thoughts about a possible failed hard drive connector/cable. First, he didn't even know what a hard drive connector was! Then, he arrogantly stated that he never heard of such a thing and that these cables never fail. Finally, he blatantly dispelled this as a possibility.
On the contrary with my experience, I have had many failed PATA controller cables that required replacement when supporting the desktop PC's at work. I have personally owned and supported many Apple manufactured laptops and desktops and have never encountered this issue on a Mac...until this MacBook!
So, after looking at the Service Manual for the MacBook, I went over to my local Apple Authorized Service Provider and purchased the Hard Drive Connector Apple Part #922-7579. I replaced the original cable, reassembled and proceeded to boot the MacBook with the Leopard DVD installer. The Fujitsu drive was immediately recognized and was able to be formatted and Leopard installed without incident. The MacBook boots off the internal hard drive as normal again and works nice and fast again.
Thank you all for your time!
    :D

  • HTTP.SYS fails to load after ProLiant NIC driver update on Server 2008 R2

    Hi team,
This has been driving me crazy for a week and I can't find any reference to solving the problem in Technet or any forums...
I have a ProLiant ML350G5 server that I installed Server 2008 R2 on and migrated all my domain AD, DNS, File Services, Shares and files from SBS2003 (end of life, so let's take that out of the network) - Exchange and SharePoint were not being used so Standard
server 2008 was the choice seeing that the server hardware is 4 years old...
Everything went well, migration was successful, AD was primary and active.
Then (stupidly) I decided I'd better install all the updated drivers and management software from HP. The NIC is showing as an HP NC373i which is a Broadcom BCM5708C. I updated the FLASH in that card (HP utility) and updated the driver to the latest version
7.8.52.0 along with a bunch of other updates all handled by HP's Support Solutions Framework (msi).
After the reboot required, I noticed that the Print Spooler (set to Automatic) didn't start, neither did IIS or Web Services...
Trying to manually start them gives the error that a dependency failed. Now Print Spooler only uses HTTP (no longer a "service" but integrated into the kernel for multiple http connections on the same port and controlled using netsh http command
prompt...) DCOM and RPC. The last 2 are running, so that leaves HTTP as the culprit.
The Event Log shows that HTTP failed to load as "the services cannot be started. Either because it is disabled or because
it has no enabled devices associated with it"
From an administrator cmd prompt, net start http gives the same failure error.
netsh http show servicestate returns "The handle is invalid" - it's not seeing http at all...
OK. If you've read this far, thank you - keep going...
Here's my thinking... Updating the NIC driver has "broken" the association with HTTP.SYS - How to I get that association back?
I uninstalled anything http related, IIS, BITS, Web, Printing Services. Reboot after reboot and still no HTTP. I deleted http.sys from \windows\system32\drivers and did sfc to get windows to give me a clean one. Reboot, still doesn't load so it's not a damaged
    http.sys.
I uninstalled EVERYTHING ProLiant, uninstalled the NIC, deleted the bxnd60a.sys driver so Windows would use it's own, rebooted, let it load NIC drivers, set the IP's up again, reboot - still no http.sys loading...
I've tried older versions of drivers from Broadcom, the latest version of drivers, still in the same hole...
Does anyone know how I can get HTTP.SYS to associate with the NIC? Can I do anything in the registry to achieve this? Do I have to do a System State Backup (is that the only way to preserve the AD and DNS?) scrub the server and start from scratch and then
restore the System State to get my AD and DNS back? If I do that will it bring the http.sys fault back?
I'm really at a loss - please, someone, please help...

  • R7770 / Win XP pro driver issue - directx not supported help please!

Hi guys sorry to bother you, and for such a long question.
I've just purchased a brand new MSI branded AMD radeon r7770 to replace my nvidia 8800gt graphics card which finally bit the dust last week.
Despite uninstalling the old nVidia drivers, trying the ones that came with the card and downloading and installing the very latest versions from both the AMD and MSI sites, I still cannot get directx to work. At first glance, the drivers look to be installed OK, (the Catalyst Control Center starts up etc) but none of my games run, and the desktop refresh is incredibly slow. KSP's crash log helpfully states that it cannot find the device driver. When I run Dxdiag.exe all the directx diagnostic tags are greyed out and the info box states that the card does not support directx.
The system is pretty ancient but should still be up to the task as it was a well speced gaming PC in its day:
Mboard: Asus P5K3 Deluxe (intel P35 chipset)
    CPU:      Intel core2duo Q6600 (quad-core)
mem:     4 gig Corsair ddr3 mem.
    PSW:     600W
    OS:      Win XP pro SP3
I'm aware that this is an old PCI-E 1.0 board and the card is designed around PCI-E 3.0, but the computer boots up and starts Windows just fine. Both the Bios and Windows detect the R7770 correctly. (I'd have thought if this was an issue - it wouldn't go past POST at all and begin beeping like crazy!)
To muddy the waters still further, as a experiment, I installed an old radeon card for test (a crappy Sapphire hd 2600 pro PCI-E version), which is about the same age as the rest of the system.
I couldn't find the drivers disk initally, so downloaded the relevant ones from Sapphire and AMD. Got EXACTLY the same problem as above: it looks as the drivers have installed but no Directx support (which is daft as I used to use that card games until I could afford to replace it with the 8800)
I tried everything I could think of for hours (including disabling driver signing security, stopping anti-virus software, trolling through the windows/ inf, System32 and System dirctories to weed out anything ATI - you name it) then miraculously found the old drivers for the HD 2600. Installed them with no probem at all - everything worked just as it should!
So, I looks to me like the XP drivers on the web are now garbage. Anyone else have similar problems or know of a workaround?
I'm not exactly rich so can't afford Win 7 or the dreaded Win 8  (which I loath) or a new PC, which is why i'm soldering on with this dinosaur!
The only thing I haven't done is splat Windows and do a clean install, do you think that'll help? If so why did the old radeon drivers work (win has been cleanly re-installed many a time since I last used that card, so there was no legacy junk lurcking in the windows diectory or it's registry)
Do you think I'd have better luck with NVidia? If so could you kindly recommend an alternative from them? I know an R7770 is a bit OTT for such an old system, but they are dirt cheap at the mo and not much more expensive than much less powerful cards.
Anyone have any thoughts about UBuntu? If it is a driver issue or there is no workaround, I may need to consider this route. Trouble is none of my legacy games will run on Linux and i'm not sure virtualization is available for my mboard.
Anyways, thanks for your time and for any suggestions you might make
    Regards
    Mike

Hi Flex, thanks for the quick reply and for the advice.
In the end i got it going by changing the boot.ini settings.
They were initially set with the /3GB /fastdetect switch to force the WinXp kernal to run in 1GB, and not take up 2GB as is it's default.
It was set that way to stop a 32bit game (KSP) crashing every 10 minutes or so, through lack of addressable memory.
All I did was simply set the boot.ini back to its default and directx sprung to life. I reset it back to 3GB to make sure it wasn't a fluke and as soon as I did, it killed directx again.
Maybe its a driver issue afterall - probably lack of proper XP support by AMD (This dosen't happen with the old- - 2008 vintage - version 4 ATI radeon drivers.) or perhaps its because the card has twice the memory over my old cards and therefore needs to access a higher portion of I/O allocation than is available in 32bit WinXP.
Its all a bit ironic really as i'm finding the R7770 runs like crap under dirx9 - i'm getting about 30% the frame rate of my old Nvida 8800GT and, as I can't use the 3GB switch anymore, it crashes every 5 mins or whenever I play any resource intensive game.
As the crashes are caused by lack of available address spaces under 32 bit systems, I've bitten the bullet and got 64bit Ubuntu. Got this working in the wee small hours last night - including the R7770 using the AMD catalyst drivers for Linux. Hopefully that will sort things out (and gimmie an excuse to learn a proper OS!)
Wish me luck i can see another "steep learning curve" on the horizon!
    Cheers
    Mike

    Hi All,
I have cluster windows server 2012 R2 with hyper-v role installed. I have an issue with one of my windows 2012 R2 hyper-v host.

    Teaming Mode : Switch Independent
Load Balance Algorithm : Hyper-V Port
NIC Adapter : Broadcom 5720 Quad Port 1Gbps
I already using the latest NIC driver from broadcom.

  • WinPE NIC driver for Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e (4004)

I am trying to deploy our windows image to a new group of Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e (4004) when they pxe they would just reboot.  I pxe booted again and hit f8 did an ipconfig and no network address.  I know the NIC is a relteck so I went to the
site download the nic drivers for windows 7 and imported them and updated by boot image.
    http://support.lenov...&DocID=HT073565
But I still PXE and get no ip address I am on the same vlan as my server and when I login to another computer on that port I get an IP.  So I am pretty sure I have a driver issue.  I loaded that driver in windows 7 and it is defiantly the right driver
    for the model.
Can someone help me out thanks.
