hello there.i just purschaced msi nx6600 td256e and i tried to play the game that it was in the package (prince of persia sands of time).the card was successfully installed on the motherboard with the latest drivers and direct x.when i installed the game and tried to play a window occured that said that this card was not supported by the game and that i will have problems.what is going on please help me.

Download the latest patch for the game at http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.aspx?dlId=727 (50 kb). That fixes the compatibility issues with the never GF6 cards .

Problems with NX6600 TD256E fan

I'm building a new PC win a NX6600 TD256E. I have no problems until I start testing 3D applications that hang. Then I noticed that the GPU fan of the VGA card stop working after the Windows XP logo get off the screen. First I was using the last driver I get in the Nvidia home page (ver. 71.84), then I download the ver. 71.22 from the MSI site with the same fan problem. I tried to install the drivers in the VGA cd drivers and I couldn´t install them. Then I tried a release 66.93 from the Nvidia site and this driver not turn off the fan.
What's going on here? Is this VGA card not compatible with the lates 7x drivers?
What I can do?

Hi! Same problem with my NX6600 128 PCI Express. This story is incredible. I tried the latest forceware and modified XG drivers but always I got the same result: the fan stops after the driver installation (after reboot, the fa stop immediatly after the Windows XP LOGO). The fan only works with the MSI version downloaded with MSI Live update. Is it possible tha I have to use only MSI drivers? If this is the answer I recommend NOT TO BUY MSI card at all!
Has someone solved the problem in some way?

I have a very ugly problem here. I have an MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard here, that with PCI Express and AGP slots.
It was working fine for a while, so I dont think the mainboard itself is bad.
Originally, an Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache, was installed on that computer. However, in the past week the owner buyed a copy of Battlefield 2 to have some fun, he also buyed an MSI NX6600LE TD256E PCI Express graphic card to replace the Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache.
I got that PC here today, in order to install the new MSI Graphic card, and also install the game. Now comes the ugly part: I cannot get that card to work in that computer, and I don't know why.
At first I thought that the card was defective, so I took it out of that PC and installed it on my own PC, and the card works in my PC (see signature), and my PC's graphics card works fine on the other PC (the K8N Neo3). Even the old Inno3D card works fine.
Since the card works fine in my PC (I've used it while writing this post), and my PC's graphic card works fine in the other PC, as well as the old Inno3D card, the only thing left for me to think is that the NX6600LE TD256E card is not compatible with the K8N Neo3 board, but that seems too strange for me.
Can any one here tell me if there's some kind of compatibility problems between the MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard and the MSI NX6600LE TD256 Graphic card ?

Update:
The card is compatible with the board. What was incompatible with the card, was a little chip in the board (fried) which I didn't noticed during the first inspection of the board.
Curious thing is that it accepted other cards and not the NX6600LE, but in the end, not even my own NX6600 card, or any other PCIe card worked at all. I guess the little chip suffered some kind of damage due to power problems in the place where the computer was. With this in mind, an electrical technician will be sent to the place to verify the electrical installations for problems of any kind, so we can correct them and prevent future problems.
Back to the board thing, a new K8N Neo4-F board has taken the place of the semi-toasted K8N Neo3 board. Also, and thanks to the hibrid design of the K8N Neo3, we will still be able to use it. The PCIe slot is dead for sure, but the AGR Slot still works well, so we'll use it for traditional desktop aplications, such as word processors, internet surfing, e-mail, document scanning and printing, etc, etc, etc...
Well, that's all. I just wanted you guys to know; so no one keeps looking for an an answer to this (now solved) mystery. For me this case is now closed, so if no one is interested into it, Admins... feel free to delete the entire thread

The Error 1603 usually occurs due to insufficient privileges.
Try the following steps:

IRQ problems with 865PE Neo2V and MSI NX6600-VTD256 VGA

Hi All,
I thought I would try a posting here first for help before filling out the cumbersome service request form. I recently purchased the 865PE Neo2V motherboard with an intel 3.2Ghz processor, 1 Twinmos 1024MB DDr400 memory, 2 Maxtor Diamond 250GB S-ATA HDD's and the MSI NX6600 VTD 256 AGP VGA card. I am also running a Plextor 716a dvd burner and a Toshiba DVD Rom on the secondary IDE slot nothing on the primary for 2 S-ATA drives and 2 P-ATA for a total of 4. I have always had a very good experience with MSI products in the past, easy to install and for the most part problem free. That is until now. I am having a rough time with the VGA card and IRQ conflicts. In the past with all my MSI motherboards I was able to choose ( Reserve IRQ for VGA) Not so with the 865PE NEO 2V.( Unless I am missing something and doing it wrong) To make a long story short the MSI NX 6600 (NVIDIA GeForce 6600) VGA card is sharing IRQ 16 with Intel(R) 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24D2 and Intel(R) 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24DE. For the most part the system runs OK except every so often during startup the system loses the VGA Card and tries to reinstall the card and software. After reinstalling the software the first time it happened I subsequently tried choosing Cancel on the prompt to install and simply reboot the computer. To my surprise the system always seems to see the VGA card on the second boot! and works fine. I have been running the system for two days now with the USB disabled in the bios which gives the VGA card IRQ 16 by itself, so far the system has seen the VGA card each and every startup without problems. Since the USB and AGP are fixed I am unable to move anything. Unfortunately I need the USB for my printer and scanner. I would also like to add that I have the latest BIOS upgrade for the Motherboard and the latest MSI Drivers for the VGA card.
Any suggestions on how to get the VGA card on its own IRQ?

I take umbrage with your statement. I installed the latest drivers from MSI correctly! I also chose not to install the very latest as they are a Beta version with the warning they may be unstable! Perhaps I was under the misguided impression that I would be better off with the latest drivers offered by MSI for the particular VGA card I paid my good money for! ( this is the main reason I thought the problem was not driver related!) It is not my fault that MSI dropped the ball in its offerings to its valued customers!
Just because I was being polite to Hans who offered so much good advice and showed such a genuine concern for my troubles doesn't mean I had not read the advice from Nvidia on how to uninstall and reinstall "their" drivers! I will admit though that from my read on Nvidias suggestions they did not go as far as to recommend uninstalling the norton works completely, only disabling it!
On another note My computer seems to be starting so far without the problem! On yet another note after installing Nvidias driver package Version: 91.31 You get a warning every time you start up that the SLI is disabled. (unless your sli equipped) I found a fix for it and have it stored on my web space if anyone wants it. It is a zip file and I guarantee that I've scanned it with Norton and it is virus free. After unzipping it and clicking on it it makes an entry into the system registry removing the warning.

ORACLE_HOME is on mount point u03, checked config.properties but no mention of mount point /u01.
Dont know from where /u01 came. Could you please help me re configuring the env pointing to /u03.
Reports server is up though without any issues.

Ensure that the report name is correct. Also ensure that the report exist in REPORTS_PATH environment variable. Otherwise run the report including the reports path.
E.g.
report=<reports directory>/test2.rdf

Blue Screen Crash with NX6600 AGPx8 with UT2004 only !

Hello.
Recently bought a MSI NX6600 VTD128.
Got my old drivers desinstalled, ans used driver cleaner 3 in safe mode to get rid of all old drivers.
Installed without any problem the very spécific driver/panel 7122 furnished by MSI.
Did some tests with my old games : unreal tournament was running very well.
Chronicles of Riddick was simply fine and playable (at last)
Splinter Cell seemed to behave very correctly.
Had a try with my new toy : unreal tournemanent 2004. Made it patched with latest released patch.
It simply crashes randomly, ingame, during lauching, when trying to reduce the application and so on.
Still encountered no others issues with no other games (NOLF2, ET, UT2003 is simply fine and nevers crashes)
Current software/hardware config :
XP on automatic update since installation.
CPU - Intel P4 2.8 fsb 800.
MB - Asus P4-PE-X, with latest bios and chipset drivers - lan and audio onboard.
2 IDE drives, 1 CD recorder, no other special peripheral installed.
simple 512 MB 400 Ram stick in slot 0.
Is there any hints ou clues to what's happening and how to correct it ??? PLease !

Have already tried previous version (6693) of the driver, but it simply ignored the presence of the card.
I'm gonna find that 61.77...
However, new hints :
At reboot windows crash analysis report an unknown driver peripheral error.
Further test with Splinter Cell (bundled) provoked crashes also, with this message from windows crash analysis :
Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)
Since not a englich technician, I don't catch this " also heard about turning off DEP"
what is DEP an acronym for please ?

i have this problem with my MSI NX6600-VTD256EH VIVO card. I can't get it to capture. Do i need some different drivers etc? I have tried searching for some advice for it but just can't find none.

[GeForce 6] Question about NX6600-TD256E

I've recently aqcuired a new AMD64 based system,the specifications are:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
K8N Neo 4 Platinum
2x512MB Kingston PC3200
Seagate HDD 120GB(SATA)
NX6600-TD256E
I`m running windows xp sp2
I`ve installed the latest nvidia VGA drivers v71.89, but when i right click on the screen to see the advanced configuration for the screen it doesn`t show me the tabs: MSI Clock , and MSI information, i've tried installing the previous version 66.93 but happens the same thing.
Anybody knows how to fix it??

Yes, you're right. Msi add some features to its drivers and this is one of them. Actually that heppens to me, and even I don't have an MSI vga card, but my card support D.O.T enabled by MSI drivers.

MSI NX6600 128Mb 128Bits VTD128 - Drivers......

My VGA is NX6600 128Mb 128Bits with VIVO.
I downloaded the MSI(NVIDIA) driver in Download session on MSI site. But, the version of this drivers is old, and this drivers in game BattleField2 not run correctly.
I downloaded the new drivers 84.21 of NVIDIA web page, this drivers run correctly in BF2, but i want use D.O.T. function and this driver not have this software. ?Where I download only D.O.T. software to install and use in my instaled NVIDIA drivers?

You must download from MSI the same driver but for the MSI NX6600GT. I have the MSI NX6600 VTD128 Diamond and I had the same problem that you, MSI does not update the page for this video cards (6600 and 6600 Diamond) but yes for the 6600GT, I don't know why... .
Try with this and post it.

looks the board supposed to be supply this cpu.

MSI NX6600 AGP Card & MSI 7008, VIA PT880 Motherboard Compatible?

Need a little help today.
I have a MSI NX6600 AGP Card & MSI 7008, VIA PT880 Motherboard that are giving me some headaches.If I try any NVIDIA driver above version 71.25 the graphics (2d and 3d) are very badly distorted. The desktop screen is unreadable and any software I try to run looks warped and garbled. I am using an Antec case with a 350w Antec PSU. Both the motherboard and video card are from MSI. This is the second video card I try, I RMA'd the first one. If I use an older AGP card (Ti4200) all graphics display perfectly. Is there something I can do to fix the problem? Is there a compatibility problem between the VIA chip and the NVIDIA 6600 chip?

MSI NX8500GT-TD256E Driver problems

Hi,
I have a PCI express MSI NX8500GT-TD256E video card in a MSI K9AGM3-F motherboard. It was working prior to having to re-install xp (but on board sound wasn't), but after reinstalling xp, when I install the video card drivers, the screen becomes unreadable, just pixelated colours!
Without the drivers installed, just the xp vga drivers, the screen works good -32 bit full colour at 1024 - 768, but as soon as I install the Drivers - unviewable! I have downloaded the latest drivers from the MSI web site and I have even tried different drivers with same result, soon as I reboot - crap!
The video is ok without drivers installed, so I take it he card is working ok, Power supply 450W, and 18A at 12V, so that's ok,
but without the drivers installed can't use duel screen, new games etc. and sys info says video adapter not installed. (After reinstalling sound drivers sound working good.)
It is verry frustrating. Any suggestions??
Just a follow up. I unistalled driver, ran Driver Sweeper then NFR just to make sure I uninstalled driver, then installed driver version 1819. Still same result. If I press F8 and boot in VGA mode, I can see all the info on Video card, and the NVIDIA tabs are in display settings, but if I change the resolution the same results - unviewable screen with block colours like the old CGA colours. With no driver installed I can get 1280 by 1024 full colour 32 bits.
Anyone with any Ideas, please help.
