MSI PLATINIUM P45 WORKING MEMORY PC8500 OR PC6400

I HAVE MSI PLATINIUM P45 I WOULD LIKE  TOO UPGRADE MY MEMORY WHICH ONE BETTER AND WORKING FINE 1-
The Kingston HyperX Dual Channel 4096MB PC8500 DDR2
2- Kingston HyperX PC6400 800MHz 4GB DDR2 Dual Channel Memory

Why are you writing in caps?  It is considered screaming and not very polite.
Go for the PC2-8500 sticks.  Even if you can't overclock them to DDR2-1066, they usually have better memory chips on them.
I have a pair of Kingston PC2-8500 modules than run flawlessly @DDR2-1066 on this board.

Hello i have a MSI Platinium P45 Motherboard and i would like to know if 4GB DDR3 -1333 is supported
    or only DDR3-1066 is.
    -Sheldon

It is very important to pay close attention to the marketing name and the model number when it comes to DDR2/DDR3 support.
The MSI P45 Platinum [MS-7512] does not support DDR3 memory sticks:
    --> http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1479
The MSI P45D3 Platinum [MS-7513] on the other hand does support DDR3 memory (but not DDR2).

In case you have the MS-7512/P45 Platinum you can forget about DDR3 support altogether as the board only has DDR2 memory slots.  If you indeed have a P45D3 Platinum then you should know that (regardless of what MSI says on the product page for this board) the Intel Chipset Specifications for the P45 Chipset only mention DDR3-800 and DDR3-1066.  DDR3-1333 modules are not officially supported on the P45 Chipset (according to Intel's Datasheets).

Sorry for merging my query in too. But, i thought it would be nice to ask everything here.
Ok, i am planning to go for Creative X-fI Extreme Music soundcard in few weeks. There are few doubts and things i need to clear.
I'll be installing the card with 4GB RAM on MSI P45 Platinum board. And plan to use it for driving 5.1 speaker system with Windows 7 64 bit OS.
    1. Is Windows 7 64-bit driver available for this card?
    2. Are there any H/W or Application specific compatibility issues?
    3. And lastly, i need your comments on this card. I mean, any points i need to look for before i purchase it.
    Awaiting....

1 - You would need to go to Creative website for drivers.
2 - Should not be any.
3 - Beats me, I never used one, I had a Creative Audigy II a couple of years ago but on a different MB. Maybe someone that has or had one will see this and have something to say about it.
Edit: I'll add 1 more thing, your PSU is too weak for your system, max +12V output 22A (264W). A PSU in a system with 9800GTX should be about +12V~28A to 30A minimum.
Corsair VX450W +12V~33A or VX550W +12V~41 would be far better choices than that PSU you have.

The problem is that my new R9 290 doesnt work on the first comp. When pressing the power button the fan of the GPU is maxing and makes alot of noise. Connecting my monitor to the onboard GPU i see the comp is working and is booting into windows. Updating the Bios didnt work and chosing PEG instead of IGP doesnt matter.
To check if the R9 290 is working i put it in comp2. It boots normally, and no problems. I began to wonder if the PSU of comp1 is the problem.
So i Changed the PSU of comp2 to comp1 and pushed the power button. Same as before: alot of noise and not working.
Meanwhile it Boots into windows. Connecting my monitor to the onboard video I can see it boots into windows. But  I dont see the R9 290 at all in the hardware device list.
My first conclusion: The XFX R9 290 isnt recognized by the B75MA-P45 Motherboard at all, even when i switch the PSU from comp2.
I need the card to work on comp 1 because that is my computer. (Comp2 I borrowed from a friend for testing).

  • MSI B75MA-P45 "Reboot and Select proper Boot device"

Hey guys, I just had this PC delivered to me yesterday, pre-built after my specs. Been using their company for a decade and never had an issue (that said, they might very well have screwed up this time, but I would love some feedback).
So, when I plug in the PC and boot it it get stuck at "Reboot and Select proper Boot device" (and in the bottom right it blink between A2/B4 before it gets to the reboot prompt).
What I have done to try to fix this:
    1) Go into BIOS and swap around the boot order. No luck with that, and I cannot find the SSD HD on the list either.
    2) Confirmed it was set on AHCI mode.
    3) Booted with the MSI Motherboard CD to get to Winki. In the Winki file manager I do see the SSD HD with Windows installed! But the BIOS cannot find it.
    The specs:
    Board: MSI B75MA-P45
    Bios: E7798IMS V1.5
    VGA: ASUS Geforce GTX660Ti
    PSU:  Corsair CX 500
    Intel Core i7-3770
    Corsair Cooling Hydro H55
    RAM: Corsair XMS3 Vengeance CL9
Samsung SSD 840 Series 120 GB
    Seagate Barracuda 2TB
    Win 8
So I'm left a bit dumbstruck here. It seems quite clear the BIOS cannot find the SSD for some reason, but I'm not sure how to sort this?
I mean: I do see Windows in the Winki file manager, so the HD is clearly there and readable. But on the other hand it cannot find it in the BIOS so I can't choose it as a boot drive.
Any suggestions on what might cause this and how I could solve it?
    Thank you.

Wow, that was easier than I thought.. after hours of browsing internet, trying all kinds of BIOS settings, eventually I just opened the case and plugged out the SATA cables and plugged them back in. Boom, it works. Didn't expect it to be that easy since the Winki still could see the HD.
Seems BIOS is more sensitive than the Winki. But there you go, problem solved.

  • MSI B75MA-P45 and Red Caviar 3 TB

Hello! I recently purchased the MSI B75MA-P45 motherboard and the 3TB Red Caviar HDD. I had sent my computer to the shop for the installation and when I collected it, the techies there said something about how the Red Caviar is "too big" and that there were partition issues. They also mentioned the need to download some sort of an "unlocking" software for the motherboard to solve the issue.
But the HDD and the partitions seem to work fine. They are my D: and G: drives, at 1.99TB and 931 GB respectively. And I do believe these parameters are normal after formatting. Were they just mistaken about something? I just can't see what the problem is.
I would appreciate any input on this matter. Thank you!

  • Need help regarding MSI 785GM-P45

    Hi
New to this forum so I will try to give as much info as possible. If you have any suggestions please give as much details as possible since I am new to building my own HTPC
    Motherboard: MSI 785GM-P45
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.0 GHz
    RAM: AVeir 2GB DDR3-1333
    HD: EIDE 80GB WD
I installed the cpu and heat sink as well as the RAM in DIMM1 then I attached the power to the mother board. Also attached then box power switch and HDD connections to the motherboard. When I press the power switch on the box I can see the cpu fan turning and box fan turning as well as hear HD spinning (at this point I dont have IDE cable connected to HD). then I attached the display to the mother board and the display does not show anything (displays standby light is still yellow). I power off the system and then attach IDE cable to the HD and then power on the system and this time everything works like before but one thing is different. I cannot hear the HD spinning or powered up. Not sure what is happening. Any suggestion would be welcome
    Thanks

You get no display on the monitor?

    I am using AMD PHENOM II 1055 125w CPU on MSI 785GM-E51.  Memory Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600 x4
I can put memory in slot 1 and 3 it will boot fine.
If I install DDR3 in slot 1 and 2 the system will not boot. If I full populate all the memory slots it will not boot
In both scenario's after the system does not boot and go back to just using slots 1 and 3 the system boot with CMOS checksum error and need to go in to BIOS setup. All the changes need to be made again, saved and exit and it reboots fine.
I have already attempted to setup the memory speed to 1333 and 1066 with no luck. Any ideas?

  • MSI installer not working MSI 5.0 Windows 7

Hello I am trying to get MSI installer to work and when I go to install anything that has the Windows Installer Package it opens Notepad in a scrambled message. I have tried numerous avenues to no avail (regedit, copy paste regedit, troubleshooters, sfc/scannow,
command prompt etc.) I tried to choose the file association of MSIexec in System32 and it just opens this
I have tried what is suggested in this forum
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/f699e632-54ba-443b-85df-269a7fd6cf1a/windows-installer-not-working?forum=w7itprogeneral and regedit says:
I have tried this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651#reso1 and didn't work
I have tried changing C :\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /V in regedit and that didn't work
I have searched event viewer and all that's in there is a warning and information of successful installs and uninstalls.
I have tried %windir%\system32\msi.dll version in Command prompt and it says that the system cannot execute the specified program
I am thinking it is just a matter of finding the correct file association that the windows installer can use to install that program but I am unable to find that!
I did a system restore but the only good restore was from earlier today and it still just opens notepad. before I did the restore I went into services and the computer couldn't find the file (windows installer) so I did a restore and now it at least sees
the file and I can start the service.
Can I please get some help fixing this? would uninstalling MSI and re-installing it work? I have been searching forum after forum and nothing has yet worked.
I did a clean install of windows a couple of weeks ago

    Hi ingenuities,
Try importing these reg file under Safe mode.
If you really need this work, I am supposing the only way is to try importing them manually, if any value key is using by process, use process monitor to filter out these processes and shut them down.I monitored values under MSI.package seems like no
    value was using by system.
I exported msi.package and patch to text, it is from a clean Windows 7 intallation。

  • Business Rule Error: Fact not found in the rule engine working memory, rule

I am trying to create a simple decision table with an input(ValidateInput) and a output(ValidateOutput). The input and output schemas have unbounded and nested elements(Parent-child relationship). When I create a condition(specific condition on input) and in the action I am asserting the output object. But when I run using EM it throws the following exception. It would be helpful if somebody could tell me what could be the problem. Please note when I set the output as ValidateInput object then it runs fine. Also it executes fine with ValidateOutput if it doesn't have unbounded(List) element inside it.

Fact not found in the rule engine working memory, rule session execution failed. The rule session 270013 failed because an instance of the fact com.example.customer.ValidateResponse could not be found in the working memory of the rule session. This is most likely a rule modeling error. The decision service interaction expects the fact instance to exist in the working memory of the rule session. Check the rule actions in rule designer and make sure that a fact of the expected type is being asserted. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support Services. 270013

It's working now..I had to use Global variable to declare child element of the output variable and use the same during action.

    Hi
I'm getting this error on my BRE, the instance Id shows 'faulted' but other consectuctive web services are 'completed' successfully.
please advise how to fix it.

When i had this issue i overcame it by opening the Rule Editor->Deleting all existing facts that are imported->Close JDeveloper -> Delete the contents of .rulesdesigner directory in your workspace -> Restart JDeveloper -> Reopen Rule designer and re import all facts.
Also make sure that all the schemas that are used for Facts are valid ones.

  • Fact Not Found in Rule engine working memory

I am using 11g, I have built a Business Rule, using RL facts, XML facts, Bucketsets and multiple Rulesets which internally has decision table and If-then rules. After deploying the same, Business rules runs successfully for some conditions and faults for some condition. The fault error for those failed conditions displays the following error:
Fact not found in the rule engine working memory, rule session execution failed. The rule session bpel:<somenumber> failed because an instance of the fact <factname> could not be found in the working memory of the rule session. This is most likely a rule modeling error. The decision service interaction expects the fact instance to exist in the working memory of the rule session. Check the rule actions in rule designer and make sure that a fact of the expected type is being asserted. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.
It is wierd becuase if it is a fault with respect to working memory then I would imagine it has to fail for all the conditions as all the conditions assert the same Object. Has anyone faced the same issue or am I doing something wrong here.
    Venkat

    Ervan
I deleted the RL facts that I had created and asserted the result to the Business Object, this seems to have taken care of this issue, but I am still not sure what was wrong in the way I build the rules using RL.Hope this helps.

  • "Installer" Process taking 2 GB working-memory

Hello, my Problem is the following:
    - My iMac gets so slow, that nothing works anymore - I can barely restart, that takes minimum 1 Minute
    - I found out, that a process named "Installer" is appearing regular out of nowhere and is taking almost 2GB working memory, then I have only about 10MB left, which is ofc too less (I got 4GB working memory in total)
-When I kill the process, everything runs normal again, and my working memory is back.
Has somebody an idea, where that process may come from, and how i can stop it?
I don't want to kill the process every day again and again, because it appears about every 2 hours.
I already went to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Users & Groups > Current User > Login Items  and took all hook out - It's still not fixed.
    I hope for help,
    Greetings CFB
