MSI R5670 Crossfire Bridge Cable

I recently bought a pair of R5670 Video cards.
I found that the crossfire bridge cables I have laying around will not fit as they are too narrow.
And of course no cables were shipped with them.
I've looked all over the MSI site trying to find some sort of an accessories page to no avail. And, or, a product manual specifying
the match of bridge connectors for these cards.
Any information about acquiring the correct bridge connections would be appreciated.
I also see that there is 2 bridge connections on each video card. Am I to assume that I'll want to use 2 bridge cables instead of just one?
Thank you in advance!!!
Dan

Google for bridges, there are plenty of online stores and eBay that sell them. Bridges from MSI are supplied with MB's not with video cards.
Guess this may have changed because my 790xt-G45 didn't come with a bridge. XFX did send me one free of charge to use with the 5770's I bought.

  • Crossfire Bridge Cable

Does anyone currently have a pre-2008 MacPro with two ATI cards in Crossfire mode running in Bootcamp? If so, in what PCI slots do you have the cards and what is the best slot speeds (ie. x16, x8, etc.) for each slot? I'm also wondering if there is any problem connecting the two cards with the relatively short Crossfire bridge cable since the x16 (slot 1) and x8 (slot 4) are quite far apart on older model MacPros. Do they make longer Crossfire cables for those who can't place the cards directly adjacent to one another?

Crossfire works in the early 2008 Mac Pro with two adjacent x16 slots. I'm using it currently under Vista 64 (Boot Camp).
The only way it will possibly work on the 2006/2007 Mac Pro is if you use the Expansion Slot Utility to reconfigure slot 1 and 2 as x8 slots. That may not hinder the frame rates since the PCIe bus bandwidth isn't saturated by most games. But then there's this issue: if you reconfigure the slots in Mac OS X, will Windows "respect" the settings or revert to the default -- x16 in slot 1 and x1 in slot 2?

  • MSI R5670 MDIGD3 Stutters!

Hi. I am looking for some help with my new MSI R5670 MDIGD3. I just installed it last Friday and I've been having some issues.
Basically, it stutters. Frequently. I have several movies on my pc, in various formats (mp4, mkv, avi, etc.). Using the VLC player, or Windows Media Player, i regularly have the screen freeze for 1-2 seconds while the sound stutters like ... well, its hard to describe. It stutters. This is happening every few minutes, and it's happening in multiple file formats in multiple players. I have my PC plugged right into my TV via an HDMI cable for movie watching, which is specifically why I purchased this card (I have a regular monitor setup as well via VGA of course, it happens on both). Anyway, system specs below, please please please if let me know if you have any idea why this is happening, i really don't want to return the card but after screwing with it all weekend i am at the end of my rope! Thanks in advance.

    I hope that helps
So I noticed the stuttering again today, but when i was watching some video online! Usually I would just write that off as slow internet, but it was the exact same as when I watch regular video in Windows Media Player or VLC, a quick frozen frame while the sound stutters.
EDIT: And maybe i should point out that the videos are on the Seagate. Windows is installed on the WD.

  • Msi 6770 crossfire

Hi, can i crossfire these 2 cards software only? (no crossfire bridge slot) and is it worth it?
    Thanks :D

As R6770-MD1GD5 is the only 6670 without crossfire connector I guess that's your card. Yes, you could still crossfire two of these without a bridge given you have a suitable mainboard. However that would be rather pointless and an utter waste of money. Instead save the money for a faster card that would not only be more fun but also be way more energy efficient than using two low-end cards for slightly increased low-end performance with all (or even worse due to lacking bridge) multi gpu flaws like micro-stuttering.

  • MSI R5670 not letting computer POST

I dont know if i just got a bad card or if this particular video card is too new for my motherboard. My system posts when i have my original video card installed (Official ATI Radeon x1650XT), but will not post when i install the MSI R6570.
    Process i tried:
Checked all my power connectors, they were connected.
I checked for a power plug on the card, it didn't exist.
I reset my bios to factory defaults with original video card, then put back in the MSI R5670, no post.
Unplugged all devices untill i was left with just the motherboard, ram, keyboard, mouse, and video card, still no post.
Plugged everything back in and took out the video card, got the post error for no video card
Put my original video card back in, and here i am typing on a forum.
For all i know this video card might require PCIe 2 slots which my motherboard doesn't have.
    Any ideas?
    System:
    MSI K9A Platinum, bios 1.3
    Kingston Memory 4gigs
    ATI Radeon x1650XT

    Thermaltake 500w

Do not forgot to do >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed after BIOS update.

Sadly the MSI R6570 video card persisted in halting the post process.
Can you see anything on the screen?

You may have more than one problem, the R5670 needs at least 26A at +12V:

  • MSI 4870 crossfire problem

I simply cannot get crossfire to enable with these 2 cards, the CCC menu is not showing crossfire :
    R4870-T2D1G-OC
    R4870-MD1G
They are both 1gb models, i know the MD1G is a newer version of the card, could this be a problem?
    i tried a sh*tload of things :
    - loads of different catalyst drivers
    - freshly installed system
    - testing both cards independantly
    - fully updated windows
    - putting them at same clockspeeds
    - putting the bridge to the right instead of the left connectors
    I'm running them on a X48T board with 1600DDR3 , Vista 32bit and a 850watt OCZ supply
As far as i can see there are no bios options for crossfire.
Any help is appreciated cuz i'm starting to get clueless about this not working...

After looking deep into the forum i found a similar post saying that the MSI drivers fix this problem and it did!!!

    I have a
    MSI Neo2-P

I have been running this comp on a home network for 6 months with minor issues but nothing major.  today I received a sys tray icon saying that a network canble is unplugged (realtek).  I am nolonger able to connect to the internet or net work however my linksys software sees the networks  out there.
It would seem like an easy fix, but i have no idea what cable the error is reffereing to.  I see no cables I see no ethernet port.  PLease advise if youi can help. thanks

MSI listed it in their news of Wed, 04 Mar 2015: http://www.msi.com/news/2000.html
While all other products listed there are available so far no sign of this bridge. Might be it will never be released but only MSI marketing surely knows.

  • Gf2-Ti (MSI 8855) TV-OUT cable

I bought a geforce2 ti -vt from a friend and it has a 9 pin video out connector. He doesn't ahve the adapter that came with ti and i'm wondering if anybody knows where i can buy a replacement adapter because a standad s-vdeo cable doesn't fit.
The cable is supposed to have on end go into the tv-out and then split the signal into an RCA and an svideo.
P.S. if anyone knows how to make the cable so that i can get at least svideo out insteaod the composite and svideo which would have been provided by the adapter i'd be thankful.  I have a MSI 8855
If anyone might know the pin out so i just have to connect the right wires together

Now that Nview detects my TV I was hoping that maybe I could select the clone options and use the dual monitor option of my card. Nope, Nview detects the monitor and the tv but all the other options are greyed out. So I cannot use anything else than Standard (Dual View).
Ok. I think i have same problem. I have solved it by connecting my analog monitor to to DVI output with DVI to analog conector that came with the vga card. And it worked. Only now i have another problem. Vga card can't recognize my tv as PAL/G but as M/NTSC. Everytime i reboot my computer it goes back to M/NTSC. I am using detonator drivers 40.72 and with original MSI drivers it worked OK.
