MSI Radio takes 2 mins to open!

As part of my Intervideo MSI PVS 3 package I have MSI Radio.  I have the latest drivers installed, but the program takes 2 mins to fire up and operate.  This may be the norm, but it does feel as if something is not quite right.
My system operates with Win XP SP2
Anyone experienced the same problem?
Thanks
Gareth

  • MSI Radio displays 5 min after doubleclick..!

    Hi,
    my problem is that when I execute the MSI Radio application it won't start immediately - nothing on the screen, but the task manager shows it as executed with 99% CPU usage.  After ca. 2 minutes it appears!
    Then it works just fine.
    BUT when i try to play with the settings and then return, it simply does not respond to anything e.g. tuning, ... and when I close it, I can still hear the radio quietly playing, so I have to reboot/relaunch.
    Any suggestions???
    Thx

    I have the same problem also. I purchased a TV@anywhere plus and it worked fine. Reinstalled the TV Master and still the same problem. It is installed in a shuttle 61g, fresh windows xp sp2 install and using the latest chipset, video (GeForce), and MSI dirvers. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Elements 9 Edit takes 2 mins to open

    I installed Elements 9 on my shinny new HP Touchsmart TM2 and found that it took up to 2 mins (if at all) to open edit. I spoke with Adobe Tech help and they were worse than useless. As soon as they found out that my processor was only 1.2 GHz and didn't meet the spec of 1.6 GHz they didn't want to know. They just keep repeating the same phrase from their crib sheets, with no appreciation of the problem even though I told them I could run Lightroom.
    Anyway I found the solution in another part of this forum. Someone was having the same problem with the Organize button, so I tried his solution.  On entering the welcome screen press ctl + Alt+ shift at the same time open Organise and keep the keys press until Catalogue manager opens. Select your catalogue and select repair, enven if it says no errors, select repair anyway. This did the trick and my opening times have gone from 2 mins to 10 sec.  Result!!

  • FCP Project stalling when trying to open, takes 10 min to open can't copy and paste

    The other day a final cut project I've been working with for a long time (only 23mb in size) started to seize up and stall at 37%ish, then take 5 or 6 minutes to actually open. Once it's open if I try to copy and paste anything into a new project it completely freezes up and I have to force quit every time.
    I've gone through and deleted all the render files and ejected the two external drives I have all the media on that are attached to my imac, and still have the same problem. I just opened another project I haven't opened in a while and it opened no problem.
    Any ideas why this project stalls when trying to open and also when trying to cut and paste within the project once I've got it open. I have work in this project I need access to asap!
    Help!
    M

    Before you go through the following process, make sure all your still images are in RGB colorspace (NOT CMYK or Greyscale) If they are CMYK or Greyscale, use Photoshop to convert them to RGB.
    With the certainty that the still images are not the problem,
    Put all the media from the problem project on the external drives
    Make sure the Project file is on an internal drive.
    Turn off the computer
    Disconnect the drives
    Start the computer
    Launch FCP
    Find and open the project.
    It will tell you there are missing files
    Click ok to go ahead and open
    The project should open with all the media marked as off-line.
    Did the project open in a reasonable time?
    If no, you likely have a corrupt project file. You could try going into your autosave vault and opening an earlier version.
    If it did open in a reasonable time, there is likely a problem with some of the media.
    Depending on how many files you have, you can either reconnect one by one to test or use the binary method.
    Turn off the computer
    Reconnect the hard drives
    Start the computer, launch FCP and open the project
    One by one method (works better when there are not so many items)
    - with the project open
    - right click on an offline file in the browswer and select "reconnect"
    - bring it in
    - play it in the viewer
    - play it on the timeline
    - if it works, go on to the next file
    - if it doesn't you have found a corrupt file (DO NOT assume all the other files are ok, keep testing)
    When you are complete, you simply need to replace the corrupt files with clean originals. If you do not have other versions saved someplace, you'll have to do without or recreate them.
    Binary Method (works better when there are lots of items)
    - with the project open, select half of the items in the Browser and select reconnect
    - play them in the timeline.
    - do they all work?
    - If so, the problem is in the other half.
    - in the Browser, select half of the remaining files and reconnect them
    - test
    - do they work? if so, select half of the remaining unconnected files and reconnect them.
    and so on until you find the file(s) that will not play.
    Have fun.

  • Why does my ipad2 take 3 min to open email?

    I have the iPad 2 and everything works fine except email. I open my email it wait several min every time. I can go to my iPhone and get all my email and read it before the iPad opens the first email.
    I have rebooted it and updated everything. It's so frustrating.

    Solved my problem by reading another thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3191240?tstart=0
    Thought I would post the solution in case anyone stumbles over this thread.
    After putting ituneshelper.app back in startup items, my itunes starts in about 15 seconds instead of 3 minutes.

  • How come Firefox takes 10 min. to open?

    My computer is running WinVista Home Premnium, x86, 2GB RAM. I've tried using Firefox Preloader, but that doesn't work. I tried using firefox.exe -Prefetch:1 and using firefox.exe -ProfileManager, but that doesn't work either. Somebody please help me with this issue. Your response is greatly appreciated.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I installed about 3 add-ons

    I would recommend trying to start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to see if this fixes the problem. If so, it may be some add-on causing the problem.
    A machine with those specs (you don't mention CPU speed/type, but that can't be too bad either I guess) sould never be more than a few seconds about starting Firefox.
    Also please see our [[Using the Troubleshooting Information page]] article and post this information too, this may help us help you identify the problem.
    Please let us know how above works out, and if we can be of further assistance. Detailed feedback is appreciated and helps us to help you better, plus enables us to better help other users with similar issues.

  • Takes too long to open a database

    Dear experts,
    we are trying to load a lot of data into BDB JE 4.1.10, and at the moment total size of all log files is about 306Gb (~ 55mln records with keys length 15-20 bytes and values 10-30KB), total number of files is 1570.
    Usage pattern: big batch updates once a week, all other time read-only with random reads.
    So far the experience of using BDB JE is very good, but one annoying thing is that it takes ~ 30 min to open the database (new Environment(...) takes only 10 seconds, but dbEnv.openDatabase(...) is very slow). It is slow even after a clean shutdown, and even when there were previously no updates at all. Looking at the iostat, the application is very busy with reading from disk.
    Is there a way to speed opening the database up? Or may be it is a reasonable time for such a big database?
    Settings:
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_FILE_MAX, "" + (200 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_FILE_CACHE_SIZE, "500");
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_WRITE_QUEUE_SIZE, "" + (24 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_BUFFER_SIZE, "" + (8 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.CHECKPOINTER_BYTES_INTERVAL, "" + (100 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.CLEANER_MIN_AGE, "10");
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.CLEANER_MAX_BATCH_FILES, "10");
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.CLEANER_READ_SIZE, "" + (4 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.CLEANER_LOOK_AHEAD_CACHE_SIZE, "" + (2 * MB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_FAULT_READ_SIZE, "" + (24 * KB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.LOG_ITERATOR_READ_SIZE, "" + (128 * KB));
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.EVICTOR_LRU_ONLY, "false");
    envConfig.setConfigParam(EnvironmentConfig.EVICTOR_NODES_PER_SCAN, "200");
    System: SUSE with 32Gb onboard and 2CPUs with 4 cores each, RAID0 on 4 disks 7200rpm. BDB JE has 75% for cache from 10GB available for the application.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi ambber,
    Thanks for your suggestion. A counter that must be updated atomically and logged periodically by JE would be accurate, but would add the same sort of complexity to JE that you mention was added to your application. More importantly, it would only address one type of aggregate "count" that an application may be interested in. Other applications, for example, need to find the number of records in a key range, where the range end points are not predetermined.
    Another possibility is for JE to provide a very rough estimate of the record count, based on the depth of the Btree and the number of internal nodes below the root level of the tree. For example, if the tree is 5 levels deep, the tree has N nodes under the root level, 128 is the maximum size of each node, and nodes are on average 75% full, then the total number of records is very roughly:
    N * ((128 * 0.75) ^^ 4)The advantage of this approach is that it requires no additional data to be logged, does not reduce concurrency, and a similar approach can be applied to a key range as well the entire database.
    Because it would be a very rough estimate, it would mainly be useful for determining optimal query strategies.
    How are you using the record count?
    Just a thought.

    Hi,
    As of now BizTalk 2013 development is supported on visual studio 2012. And it is stated in

  • Opening my HDV project takes 45 min!!??

    I have a HDV (1080i) project, which has steadily grown in size. I have captured about 20 hours of material and have made a few sequences. One sequence is 5 minutes, one is 102 min and one is 90 min.
    Is this a gigantic project, because it takes FCP 5.0 45 min to open the project.
    When it is open it works fine and is not slow at all.
    I am running it on a G5 2.7 dual with 3 GB RAM.
    I have tried to make a copy of the project file, but that doesn't help.
    Then I have tried to copy everything from the project in to a new project, but the FCP crashes.
    I also wanted to make a copy of the 90 min sequence, but then FCP also crashed.
    Please help if you can.
    Kasp

    I thought that since HDV has approx. the same bit-rate as DV it wouldn't differ that much. Once the project is open, there are no problems and everything works exactly as it did, when I was editing DV.
    I could live with the 45 min start-up (get a cup of coffee and checking my mail), but I am concerned about expanding the projects. Usually I make copies of sequences, when I make new cuts, so I can go back in the process, if needed.
    I don't dare to add information to this project, so what should I do? I actually still have about 3 hours of material I need to capture...:-(
    I wouldn't mind to go down in quality, but since my 20 hours are already captured I am concerned about the work-around to get the project "running"... I would really prefer not to delete any media (also all the unused), since I am in the middle of the editing and can't say which will be in the film and which won't.
    thanks a lot:-)

  • MSI Radio?

    Does anyone know what is the latest version of MSI Radio?  I downloaded a version dated April 21 or so and it seems to conflict with Media Center Deluxe 3 and PC Alert 4 (LED display is mixed/scrambled while PA4 is running, and the radio app conflicts with MCD3 for the remote).  Is there a version out there that works ok on the Mega 180 and doesn't conflict with either of the other two programs?

    Ok, so I found my bluebird bios information(thx Stu.online for the tip) in the "Radio Webupdate" application, but I am not sure if this is even correct because when the application starts it displays:
    Application Initiation - "It will take about 1 min to check the system information"
    Then another window states:
    Radio Webupdate cannot find the Radio module's information!
    Radio Webupdate will load the default setting for your Radio module.
    Then the app starts with:
    Motherboard model: 6796
    Radio Module: Bluebird
    Firmware version: A10C
    Firmware OEM No: General Type
    Countty Code: 5
    WebUpdate version: 1.11
    MSIRadio version: 1.00.61
    The only thing I know that is correct is the MSI Radio version, which is: 1.00.61
    I don't know where I got 1.00.01, from CD I guess.
    Same for everyone? Are we the only ones listening to radio?

  • PDF Form Takes More Time To Open when using designer 7.1.3129.1.296948

    Hi All,
    Adobe Reader Version :  8 and above.
    designer                     : 7.1.3129.1.296948
    When i am devloping the adobe interactive form Using designer 7.1.3129.1.296948, When I open the same in the adobe reader 8.1.2 and 9.1 its take more time (Nearly 20 mins).
    When I am opening the same in the adobe reader 7.1 its opening fine.
    How to resolve This problem in adobe reader 8.1.2,9.0 and 9.1 ?
    Regards,
    Boopathi M

    Hi,
    I have seen this exact same problem happening when, I created/developed a adobe form, on a PC which had adobe livecycle designer 7.1, but had adobe reader 7.
    Once the form is created on a machine which had reader 7, then it does not matter whether u try to open that pdf in reader 8 or 9, it will take 20-30min to open, it will freeze your pc, etc.
    Please ensure that when/where ever the form was first created, that machine had adobe reader 8 or higher installed it.
    I hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Itunes 10.4.9 takes an age to open

    I downloaded the latest version of itunes yesterday onto my works laptop, however every time i try to open itunes it takes roughly 20 mins to open, has anyone else experienced this problem?
    Also when it is open, everything to do with syncing the itunes takes an age also.

    Same here. The funny thing is, I also have Airfoil that works fine -- I set the input as System Audio and it plays through the Airport Express just fine, so the "network" is working just fine, it is iTunes that seems to have the problem.

  • Just a few quirks with MSI-Radio...

    Well, I just lost my stereo reciever...Looks like I'll be forced to turn to headphones and MSI-Radio
    First of all, the signal bar is fine grandour except that it sucks...Sometimes it shows no signal and sounds fine. Whats up with that?
    Second, more importantly...I close MSI Radio, and it won't shut up...For some reason it refuses to cut the signal when closing it (Maybe I'll just be forced to manually unplug it from the back of comp)
    Third, some idiot installed ad-ware on my comp!!!  #$@#!!!  "Ad-aware" doesn't seem to detect it and "spy-bot search and destroy" detects Hot-bar but can't remove it...What to do...
    **Well, looks like I'll get the reciever back**
     ;-))Might as well fix it anyways though, can't stand have anything imperfect about my comp...

    #2 is about the only one I can offer any advice on.  First of all, I'd go to Download -> Multimedia -> TV@nywhere Master and make sure that I had the latest version of the TV@nywhere Master Driver and MSI Radio.
    Secondly, you could probably silence MSI Radio by opening the Windows volume control (or whatever it's called in your version of windows) and muting whatever input you're using to feed sound from the TV@nywhere Master to your sound card.  On my system MSI Radio will actually un-mute Line In when I run it and re-mute when I exit.
    Thirdly, when MSI Radio does misbehave and not shut up on exit, I can usually get it to hush by running and then exiting MSI PVS aka WinDVR.
    Fourthly, I've noticed that my MSI Radio only fails to shut up if I click the Settings button while it is running.  Once I get the settings set, it doesn't give my any more problems as long as I can resist doublechecking my settings.
    Correction: one problem.  It always mutes my master recording balance when it runs, meaning that anything I record with MSI Radio or PVS will be nothing but silence.  I have no idea what that's about.
