MSI RMA how? When?

Hello,
I started a thread  2 weeks ago about my bad MSI motherboard..   They told me to e-mail MSI (in my case MSI in Holland) Didn't got a reply of them (except that they have my e-mails and that it takes time to reply)... 2 weeks later still not an e-mail..  
Then I searched the forum and they said me to call them...  So I called to Holland (live in Belgium)...  The girl told me that I have to call back monday between 8.30 and 12.30...  But she couldn't garanetee me that they could help me...  :(   :(
What can I do? wait and call to hear that they could help me neither?  Isn't there another way to get an rma???  I have only a couple of days until my warranty ends...

U can try, but I dont think they will, mod void your warranty my man :( . U should have sent it with the blown capasitor.
May be u can ask for repair....

    You could just try changing your Input Sources under System Preferences>Language & Text:
    But I kind of doubt that's going to work. It may be a hardware problem or a system problem. If you take it into Apple they might be able to determine which and might advise a reinstallation of System software. I would take it to an Apple Store or an AASP but, first, make sure that you have a backup just in case they suggest a clean install of the system.

    I understand -- through another thread that I started -- that the Guest Network will be both 2.4 GHz as well as 5.0 GHz....I would like to understand how / when does a device jump from the 2.4 GHz network to the 5.0 GHz network as I understand that: the 2.4 GHz network is slower but has greater range relative to the 5.0 GHz network.

    It occurs to me from reading the above that it makes sense to let the device (using your words) connect to either the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz band based on its capabilities and distance in relation to the router as I can see / understand the downside and issue of manually pointing to or selecting  a specific network.
    The reason that I purchased an Apple router is the hope that it will work better than some of the other routers I have tried as far as the 5 GHz / 2.4 GHz dual banding is concerned because in most of these cases I have had to disable the 5 GHz band to maintain a reliable internet connection...hopefully the Aiport Extreme will not require me to do so [i.e. it will work]!
    With respect to *BOTH* the Primary Network and the Guest Network being dual band I can only conclude that this work because there are essentially two separates networks [i.e. 10.o.x.x and 172.16.x.x] that are using the send / receive configuration capabilities.

    No, the serial number goes with the product. You should deactivate all your installed copies before selling it. Also, if you've used it qualify for upgrade pricing on a later version you can't sell it. Well, you could but the new owner won't be able to install it.

    When you connect to iTunes do you see the iPad in the sidebar and if you click on your iPad name do you see the summary tab on the right? If you do, click on the Restore button.
    If you see the iTunes logo and the USB cable on the iPad screen, you are in recovery mode. Read this for more information.

    If you want to restore to an iCloud backup, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

  • BusinessObjects.msi not found when installing BOE R3 FixPack 1

    I'm building a new R3 environment on a windows box.  I can successfully install the base R3 package without error.  Everything works, deploys, etc.  When I try to run the installation for FixPack1, I get prompted to browse to the BusinessObjects.msi file.  I think the install tries to find the msi from the base install in a temp folder, but it is no longer there...cleaned up for some reason.
    Has anyone come across this?  Any ideas on how to perform the FP1 installation without the BusinessObjects.msi file being available?  Is there a local security policy that might be controlling the purge of the temp folder after the base install is complete?
    Any ideas would help.

    Just curious can you extract the file with winrar and then install. I haven't run across your particular error but that has resolved other issues for me.

    If you click on the MSI - Download MSI Installer for Windows. You can download this with no problems, but when you go and run the software it comes up as version 11.5.1.601, when infact it should be version 11.5.2.602. Could you please advise how we can obtain this correct version for the MSI Download or can we get Media sent to us for this?
    Also if this isn't available could you please advise an ETA for when we can get this version so that we can let our Core Build Team know.
