MSI Twin Frozr 560 Ti problem

So I've had my 560 ti for about a month or so and I've been having trouble with it during the past few weeks.  Basically I have artifact tearing in any game I try to play (wow, sc2, etc).  It gets really bad at times even has lead to a few crashes.  I had it o/c for about two weeks but then started having problems so since I've set it back to the default but the problems persist.  Anytime that I've ran Kombustor I've never had any problems but anytime I'm in a game I will start to see artifact tearing.  I don't have any heating problems.  I've checked to ensure that it is secure in my case as well making sure the wires are all in tight.   I've searched the forums for a while on here trying to see if I could fix it myself but I wasn't successful.

I intend to do so asap.  Anything you'd recommend for testing it while in another machine?  I only ask because if I restart my computer after having artifact tearing the problem goes away for a while.  Just figured I'd ask if there is anything you'd suggest doing to test it rather than have to sit there for a while waiting
if you can test with different and more powerfull PSU

  • MSI Twin Frozr 7850 driver problem

I just got the card.  Uninstalled the drivers for my 4850.  Plugged the card in and the computer recognized it.  I attempted to install the driver set from the MSI website.  Upon completion, it gives me an error message that "there is no AMD card installed or the driver is not working" or something close to that.  I can't run any programs that require a graphics card.  When I look at my devices through the control panel, the 7800 card is listed as having a driver signature that is not recognized.  If I try the AMD Autodetect program, it tells me that my driver is up to date.  Any suggestions?
    Board - Biostar Z68
    CPU - i5-2500k
    Mem - Corsair 8 gb
Hard Drive - Seagate 1 TB
    PSU - Thermalake 650W
    Thanks for any suggestions.

I followed these steps.  These are the same drivers I had tried previously, though I hadn't used Driver Fusion in Safe mode to remove the drivers before.  I still get the same problems.
When it completed the install, it said there were warnings in the install log.  Reading it, everything listed as "Success" on install, but there was "Other Detected Devices."  Here was that listing:
    Other detected devices
    Manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
    Device ID 0xaab0
    Vendor ID 0x1002
    Class Code 0x040300
    Revision ID 0x00
    Subsystem ID 0xaab0
    Subsystem vendor ID 0x1462
I was using a AMD 4850 previously, but I removed all AMD drivers through Driver Fusion, and it does not show up in the Windows/Devices listing.
As before, the "7800" listing in Devices shows an error icon, and it lists this message:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
The driver listed there is 8.982.0.0 with a date of 7/27/2012.
    Thanks for any advice.

  • MSI Twin Frozr 560 TI OC issues

Basically I am having shadow issues and the way things are rendered is just weird, it's hard to even explain. But I  have also had the monitor drop out to where you have to manually power down machine to regain display, driver crashes when doing benchmarks. I have tried all different versions of drivers (266.44, 266.66, both beta versions), I have vbios 70.24.0a.00.00. I have a 750 Watt corsair PSU and I know it's not a power supply issue, i'm just at my wits end here, I repair computers for a living and this is beyond me lol, do you  have an updated BIOS I can try or something? Also like to note I have bumped voltages up on the video card, reduced to reference clocks etc... nearly everything Svet and every other forum has tried, especially bad in games like rift, bad company 2, wow at times, it's just like it renders improperly. The 4870 I had in the system prior to upgrading cards had no issues, i'm not sure if nvidia's drivers are just terrible right now or what. But I need a suggestion, thank you.

Yes, IPS has better dynamic contrast, but more importantly, IPS is true 8bit per RGB channel(24bit depth with true 16.7 million color gamut) as opposed to TN displays with are only 6bit per RGB channel(18bit depth with only a true 262,144 color range(the rest are interpolated)).  Even though TN displays are faster, I remember when, if you were a gamer, everyone was saying you need to get 8ms displays(the then fastest TN displays) which is the response time of the E-IPS panel...the more expensive 24", H-IPS, is 6ms.  I actually do photo work(or if you do any critical color work)--an IPS monitor is much better for me.  My Dell 22" IPS monitor, 8ms, works fine for games.
Yeah, i was comparing both Dell's IPS monitors. [U2410 vs U2412M]
Think its uselless to compare IPS to TN [as i said before you gonna trash the TN instantly as you place them side by side to the IPS]

Yep, it also depend of IPS panel type. [Compared to this the TN is in stone age ]
    H-IPS matrix with panel LM240WU4-SLB1:
    • Higher color gamut allows more range of colors to be displayed.
    • U2410’s 12 bit internal processing not only helps deliver 1.07 billion colors resulting in better color
details and no loss in tones and hues, it also enables very low greyscale tones to provide greater level of
    detail in dark areas.

    Yep can confirm this.
Games also runs just fine and looks awesome...
Low input lag is also important, + there is overdrive function that can be used for games if needs. [but its works just fine without it]

Hey I had similar problem, try installing the MSI drivers http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560GTX-Ti-Twin-Frozr-II.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7%2032 , try the 266 ones, if they dont work try the 280, for me personally the 280.26 driver worked. Even when i had already tried the 280.26 driver from the official nvidia website. Hope this works for you too

I have a very annoying problem with my card. Whenever I play BF3 with a total random time I get some green glitches and the display freeze (see the attached screen).
Normally I get right back on windows with this little popup "display driver stopped answer and recovery successful". But now it just freeze and I have to do a hard reboot...
    Here is my config:
    -I7 2600k

    -OCZ 850w 80gold+
-MSI twin frozr II GTX 580 with latest drivers

I've already look around google, I'm not alone but it seems there is no real solution. It's really sad to have this kind of prob with that expensive card... without any solution.
Some help would be very nice.
    Thanks for any help.

But after downloading and trying to flash it with the link you provide nvflash says that my current version is: 70.10.20.00.01 and the one I downloaded is 70.10.17.00.01.
So am I already in the lastest ?

  • MSI twin frozr 4 GTX 670

    Hello
Having a slight problem with my gpu, maybe it is not a problem though.
My MSI twin frozr 4 GTX 670 is idling at a great temp of 28 Celsius.
When I play battlefield 3 or future soldier my card temps hit 80 degrees, I also hit 82 degrees in fur mark.
Is this high temps for this card
    thanks

Well I guess your card is a GTX 670 Power Edition because that uses Twin Frozr 4. 80 or 82°C is by far no problem especially not in Furmark. Besides the Twin Frozr 4 has more potential and gets my (much overclocked) GTX 680 Lightning to stay at 60°C under load but I have a very decent ventilation in my bigtower case. So with better airflow you'd have better temps but none the less the current temps are still far from problematic.

Is there a way to unlock the voltage on this card? MSI Twin frozr 4gb OC Gaming 770? I clicked unlock voltage in afterburner but it did nothing? Just trying to find if there is a way.

What do you mean by unlocking? For the GTX770 (except for Lightning) 1.2/1.212 V is the absolut limit (without hardware and eventually bios modding). Anthing else is not possible. If you can't apply any overvoltage use the latest bet aAfterburner: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161235.msg1257833#msg1257833

  • MSI Twin Frozr 2 OC 580GTX High Load temps

    Hi all,
I've recently purchased a MSI msi twin frozr ii oc gtx580 (1.5gig) card. When idle, my card temperature is just 38c, but when the GPU usage reaches max (e.g. when playing games like BF3) the temperature goes upwards of 95C. All of my settings are at the factory overclock and I've tried using several drivers including 263.09, 280.26 and 285.36. Has anyone else experienced similar temperatures?

I've got a coolermaster atcs 840 case with a total of 6 Fans:
-1x 240mm Fan in the front pulling air in
-2x 120mm fans at the front (after the HDD compartment) pushing air to the rest of the case
-2x 240mm fans at the top pushing air out
-1x 120mm fan at the rear pulling air in from the outside through a small 120mm rad.
I previously had an ati 5830 installed (stock) and it never went above 79C.
Leaving the side door open doesn't have any effect

  • Any Reason Why Should I go with MSI Twin Frozr II 6870?

Do you guys have any reasons why should I go with MSI Twin Frozr II 6870 than other reference card??

MSi is only one of two mfg w/utils to control voltage on their 6870's the other is ASUS.  Price is a tad higher than some but the cooler is reference so its not like its a twin cooler or something like the 5xxx series or the 6850's custom design (not a twin cooler however).  If you dont plan on OC and tweaking voltage its probably not an issue then foor spec the 6870.  Id check out all, best price and warranty, some offer 3 yrs or lifetime.  When a custom cooler becomes avail on 6870's (only 6850's have them now last i checked), then id have more to comment on and suggest.

  • MSI Twin Frozr II Second card failure

hi guys, got the above card RMA'd replaced 3 months ago and now I have the exact same issues with the screen scattering, lines, blocks etc, just like before.
Have stripped mobo down to bare minimums and still the same.
Have an OCZ600SXS psu with 18A on the +12v rail that supplies the card.
I have heard that some OCZ supplies have issues but, as it worked fine for 3 months, I cannot see it being the PSU
Is this looking like yet another RMA to MSI?
    thanks, Gordie

    First time posting here.
Does my graphics card come with a uefi bios? If not, how do I get one and how do I flash it? I'm experiencing black screen hangups on startup, on a new build and people say a bios flash may be the solution.

A few weeks ago, I built my own pc and installed Windows 8.1. I've installed just basic drivers from vendors websites and avast, malwarebytes, some benchmarking utilities and games. I'm getting really sluggish startup speeds, and my pc stops at a black screen after the windows logo but before the logo. The way I would describe the black screen is, it happens after the windows logo but before the welcome screen - a black screen from 8-15 seconds. I cannot move my cursor or see anything. Some research from the likes of eightforums etc suggests its my gpu drivers, so I decided to post here.
    What I've tried:
Reinstalled video card drivers to see if it stops black screening
    Full virus scan
Made startup programs and services minimal
Checked event viewer for anything peculiar - nothing came up, besides a driver related to my asus motherboard - AMDA00 Interface. I have since disabled it, as its not needed. Still no difference.
Reinstalled windows 8.1. Still the same.
When I boot in safe mode, I also get the "hanging" black screen, although it doesn't last as long.
    My specs:
CPU: Intel i5 4670K (Stock Speeds)
    Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP - 2x4GB @ 1866Mhz
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 4GB - CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU Cooler
