Satellite L300-19J - How can I change the warranty registration details?
I live in Romania and I bought my Toshiba L300-19J from Romania on the 9th of February.
I have registered my Standard Warranty upon installing Windows. When trying to also register the International Warranty Extension, I noticed that there are some problems with my registration.
1. I have received a registration ticket via e-mail. If I click the link in that e-mail for registering the warranty extension, I am redirected to the UK Toshiba site, instead of Romanian one. The real problem is not the language, but the fact that the notebook model that I have is produced exclusively for Romania, so it is not available for selection in the drop-down menu available on the UK site.
2. If i visit www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails and enter the serial number of my laptop, it shows that it is registered, but the purchase date is shown as 2008-10-29 (which is one day after the production date). I have no idea why it shows like this and what this means, nor do I know if there is a way to change that information.
3. If I try to use the Romanian Toshiba website for warranty registration, it says that my serial number is already registered.
Now the question: is there any way for me to see / edit the registration details? The confirmation e-mail I got contains very few information about the registration.
Thank you.Hello
As far as I know you cannot edit registrations data. What you can do it to contact Toshiba and explain the situation.
For contact use follow mail address: [email protected]
You must contact Toshiba in your country. Contact details can be found at http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/contact_toshiba.jsp
Good luck!

Trouble with warranty registration for my Satellite A200
I tried registering warranty for my Satellite A200 laptop online and it didn't work. I then had to send info and proof of purchase to Toshiba and still heard nothing.
E-mailed Toshiba and still heard nothing. Issue 117 of What Laptop awarded Toshiba for best services and support. That's what swung me to buy a Toshiba.
What service? What support? All I want to do is register my warranty. Is anybody there?Hi
Ive got 2 different Toshiba notebooks and I could register the warranty of all my notebooks!
These two notebooks are Toshiba European model and I could register the warranty on the Toshiba European support page!
If you have some problems with your registration then contact the ASP in your country and ask for the help. If they have not responded till now then contact the guys again.
I dont know whats wrong in your case but my warranty registration went smoothly and it was not a problem!
So contact the guys again and ask for the assistance! It cannot be so difficult.

OEM M/BOARDS AND MSI WARRANTY ?
Does MSI warranty OEM purchased m/boards past the 14 day period(s) offered by places such as Newegg . Meaning ... if you purchase an OEM board from Newegg and its past THIER 14 day warranty ; will/ or does MSI further cover the board for another 3yr warranty same as a retail board ?
TIAQuote from: NovJoe on 06-May-07, 12:28:55
If it is a vanilla OEM board, no warranty by MSI.
If it is a retail OEM board, if I'm not wrong, yes warranty by MSI.
You can contact MSI and check out the actual details.
Well Ive ordered OEM's from the Egg in the past but Ive always recieved full retail boxed OEM'S , but not this time .This time it seems to be a "vanilla" OEM P6N SLI-FI from Newegg ; as it came in a plain brown box with no accessories ; so I'd imagine there would be no MSI warranty as you mentioned .
Iam having problems with the board and have till Monday to send it back . To be on the safe side , Iam think Iam just going to rma the OEM board for a full a retail box so as not have to worry about the full warranty thing .
Thx for the reply's -
Does MSI warranty cover dents?
I just went through a long overseas trip and when handling my laptop airport security put a small dent on the top of the lid. Does the MSI warranty cover something like that?
Thanks.I would suggest to contact with MSI for the warranty issue.

HI i just purchase my GS70 one month ago,but recently i have updated it to windows 8.1 like every ppl did.after that i inserted my MSI laptop driver disc which is included in the MSI package when we purchase the laptop.i wanted to reinstall the drivers.but half installation it the screen does not show up until now..i guess it is crashed? so my question is does MSI warranty cover up this type of damage? as this damage is caused by the MSI manufacturer disc itself.someone pls tell me wat to do pls!! i know reformat everything is not cheap.
Updating your MSI Windows 8 PC to Windows 8.1

MSI warranty and rma issues......
Hi guy's....
I thought you would like to know....
I asked MSI some questions about warranty and problems with resellers/distributors, this was the reply I got:
For those users in which can't get help from their resellers or distributors.
You can ask them to contact MSI office RMA dept near them directly.
It is MSI policy that we will acknowledge any MSI board.
MSI warranty in most places is 2 years.
However, for boards that are out of warranty, repair charge will be required.Quote

I have had at least two slot 1 systemboard, at that time(over a year ago) that has developed the same problem: the group of capacitors that is closed to the CPU slot brusted, and I have contacted msi both via email, as well as phone calls, and either was responded to. I just think msi really need to improve their tech support, as well as RMA services, to make them really a world class company as they have stated in their home page: ***Founded in August 1986, MSI has continued to uphold a business philosophy that stresses "Award-winning product quality and outstanding customer service." *** You just can not have an "outstanding" customer service, and refused to deal with the "customer" which is us-one that is the end user of their products.
I am not at all bashing msi, but their "commitments' to quality needs a little refinement.
I welcome your comments....... ?(

There is a large "warranty void if removed" sticker on one of the screws, they said they honor their warranty regardless of opening the laptop as long as I didn't damage it in any way.
The same may apply to you, but I'd speak to a local MSI representative first just to be safe. -
3 Years Next Business Day On-Site Warranty Registration
Hello,
I bought a warranty extension for my laptop, it is a warranty for 3 Years Next Business Day On-Site service. Now i tried to register the service and it reqognized de certificate number I gave. But when i finished with putting in my serial key, adress and all that, I was said that the registration couldn't be fully completed without a copy of the receipt i got when i bught the warranty.
Now that wouldn't be so hard right, except for the fact that there was no e-mail adress given for me to send a copy of my receipt to. So could i get the e-mail adress where i'm supposed to send it to, please? If you check this section you can find many threads with e-mail address where you can contact Toshiba.
By the way contact details can be found at http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/contact_toshiba.jsp -
I've just purchased two MsI GTX 580 Lightning Xtreme cards. I am very happy with them. My question is, do I have to register the product to obtain the 3 year warranty? Thank you.
Quote from: Rocco_Siffredi on 03-November-11, 03:21:57
I don't think so. The card comes , when you buy it with a guaranty certificate aside the bill (the proof you paid for the goods). In it, it says how many years you are covered. If a card is a good brand and good quality, the guaranty is higher (in years). Haven't you ever bought a pc product before ? Your question is ...strange.
Yes I have bought PC stuff before. The reason i ask is, if you buy a graphics card with EVGA, and register the card you get a life time warranty. IF you don't register the card, you get 1 year warranty. See how huge that is? I was wondering if MSI is similar. I'm trying to protect my investment. -
MSI Warranty - Adding new SSD to Notebook
* I tried asking the official MSI support directly by email but haven't received any answers in 2 days.
Hello ,
I recently bought an MSI GT70 from Ncix.com (November 26 2014) and had a few questions :
MSI GT70 Dominator i7 4810MQ 8GB 1TB 17.3in FHD GeForce GTX870M 3GB Windows 8.1 Notebook
Does MSI allows the user to upgrade the gaming laptops like other brands ?
I wanted to add a Samsung Evo 840 SSD in the laptop and was wondering if the warranty would still be valid ?
ThanksAny mod, please delete this topic as answered here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=251795.0
