MSI will not install; Bundle status is "Downloaded"
Have been receiving numerous "Error impersonating configured user." messages.
I changed the bundle to "Run as secure system user (don't allow system to interact with desktop)" and changed the "Install MSI" action's "Install Parameters:" to from /i to /im. ("Install MSI" is the only action.)
I then incremented the version number. "Install Options" are set to "Install always".
The bundle status in the ZENworks Adaptive Agent is shown as "Downloaded" and the .MSI does not run.
The clients PC's use Windows 7.
Murrutia,

A reinstall will be attempted if the verstion number is changed:

"D.1 Triggers that Cause an Install Action Set to Run
If you assign a bundle to a device or user, the Install action set runs on
the device only in the following circumstances:
If the Install action set has never run on the device.
If the version of the Install action set is different from the version of
the Install action set that has previously run on the device
The Install action set of a bundle is internally associated with a global
version identifier and the Install action set of every bundle version is
internally associated with a local version identifier.
If you make any modifications to a bundle other than modifying its Install
action set, the Install action set of the sandbox that is created has the
same local version identifier as the bundle version you modified. However,
if you modify the Install action set of a bundle, the global version
identifier of the bundles Install action set is incremented by one and
the modified Install action sets local version identifier is set to the
new value of the global version identifier.
If the install action set or its options are modified and the bundle is
re-published, then when the bundle is installed or launched, the install
action set is invoked again, even if it has been set to install only
once."

CrystalReports11_5_NET.msi will not install
I have the same problem as outlined below. CrystalReport11_5_NET.msi will not install. It gives the error message "This software package can only be installed on systems that has installed .Net 1.0 or 1.1. Needless to say, 1.1 is installed. Does any one have a simpler solution than below?
Thanks,
Robert T
http://forums.msdn.microsoft.com/es-ES/vscrystalreports/thread/598537d5-03dd-460c-9696-60717c2dc2f4/
We currently have a case where we are supporting multiple versions of our product on the same web server (a windows 2003 server). However, we have 2 versions of our application on the same server, but one is in ASP.nET 1.1 and the other is in ASP.nET 2.0. Our applications are fine and can co-exist ok on the server. They both use Crystal REports XI, Relesae 2, which supports both 1.1 and 2.0.
Our developer machines run just fine wtih both products and crystal reports, but the problem we are having is deployment. When we install the runtime redistrubutale for ASP.nET 2.0 on the machine a file(CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msi) then our ASP.NET 2.0 application works fine. However, when we install the crystal runtime redistributable fro ASP.nET 1.1 a file (CrystalReports11_5_NET.msi) windows 2003 server will not let us install it, it gives us an error saying that "This software package can only be installed on systems that has .NET 1.0 or 1.1". Which of course this server has, because our application in 1.1 runs jsut fine.
2 questions.
1. Can Crystal Reports XI Relesae 2 co-exist on a windows 2003 server for BOTH the asp.net 1.1 and asp.net 2.0 version?
2. Has anyone encountered this and resolved this?
Thanks
I believe the only way to get this to work is to uninstall the 2.0 framework, install the XIr2 for 1.1 framework msi file, install the 2.0 framework, then install XIr2 for the 2.0 framework.
Can't do the uninstall stuff because I got SQL Server 2005 and other .NET 2.0 apps running on the server. I got it to work by copying the .NET 1.1 versions of the Crystal DLL files (e.g. CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll) from my PC to the server in the corresponding directory and then adding them to the assembly cache with the 1.1 Configuration tool. Don't forget the xxx.resources.dll files in the "en" directory also. In my case, I just needed to get the 1.1 stuff working. This is really bad and just adds another Crystal Reports horror story to my already very long list (I've been using Crystal for almost 15 years).asnwer to 1 is yes, R2 supports both 1.1 and 2.0 framework. I'm not sure why you are receiving that error
answer to 2 is I haven't seen it but you may get more info if you can log a message with our deployment team.

For the longest time flash player will not install (updates for upgrades).
If I go to the main page I can download the 1mb file then open it up and the installer box opens but never does anything and is just black except the top bar. I can't even close it out. I have to "end task" it. I has been going on for a year or so. I usually have to find a link to the full installer version but can't find it anymore.
Is there a tool to remove all remnants of Adobe flash player?
Link to full installer version of player?
I tried uninstalling all versions but still the same problem
ThanksThe installer works for the vast majority of people. We serve up something like 1.2 billion installs every months, so a failure rate of even 0.0001 is > 100,000 people. We're not seeing that kind of traffic about this issue.
As the installer isn't dependent on Flash Player, and it doesn't leave anything around beyond a log file, it's unlikely that blowing Flash Player completely away would resolve anything, and it sounds like your efforts bear that out. There's something underneath us that's not working right. With Mac, it's usually corrupted NVRAM settings, but I'm not sure what it is on Windows. My guess is that it's related to the graphics subsystem, but it's not something that I've seen happen under lab conditions, and we'd need to debug it to get a definitive answer.
So, I have a couple suggestions in order of least to most effort:
Switch to Google Chrome.
Flash Player is a built-in component, so there's nothing separate to download or maintain. Updates happen automatically as part of the standard Chrome update process, so you never have to touch another Adobe installer if you don't want to.
Scan your hard disk for errors, run the Windows system file checker, and make sure you have the latest graphics drivers for your system
Check your hard disk for errors in Windows 7
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files
Back up all of your stuff (ideally to both a disk and an online backup service for redundancy), wipe the machine and do a fresh install of Windows -

First, the gorey details:
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
IE9
HP Officejet 8600 e Pro
Installed the printer and it's working fine. During installation, web print was automatically installed and the icon appeared on the toolbar. When I clicked it, it said to install the latest version, which is Smart Print, click HERE to get the latest version, which I did.
Attempted installation - it gets to the end and proclaims: You do not have sufficient rights. Please do this again with ADMIN rights.
Checked users, and yes, there is only ONE user on this box and it's ME - and I have ADMIN rights.
Searched support and found this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02994297&cc=us&dlc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen&lc=...
Followed instructions to uninstall old version and reinstall new version.
Same problem.
I cannot install the new version due to it complaining I don't have ADMIN rights. And, yes there is only one user and that user is an admin.
So now what?
IT Professional with 30+ years experience
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
IE 9
This question was solved.
View Solution. What I would recommend is that you "uninstall" IE9 so that it rolls back to IE8 which should open up the compatibility for SmartPrint.
I have seen this before, and the newer browser does not collate the information in the same way that IE8 did.
EDIT : You may also need to download and install the Bing Bar to use this application (link below)

I'm running Windows Vista, Service Pack 2. The Ovi suite (3.8.30) will not install. The installer downloads the suite and I go through all the possible addon (accepting nene btw). When I get to the install button and click on it nothing happens.
Any suggestions.
JohnThe latest version is Nokia Suite 3.8.48. Anyway, before you install that, please, install the Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver because that is even newer as the version which comes with the current Nokia Suite. Did that help, already? Otherwise we have to go the next steps …

I have windows 7 64 bit but the new itunes will not install because it can't find itunes64.msi. I have searched evertwhere on my pc. In addition, I can't uninstall the itunes and reinstall for the same reason. I can't upgrade for my icloud account.
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -

I have an iPod 4s and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1.6. I keep trying to download but it will not allow me to click download and install. I have checked my storage and I have more than enough storage space available. Do you guys have any suggestions?
The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

I have the Mac OS 10.9.4 I am unable to read PDF's, so thought I would download the latest version of Adobe Reader. It will not install. Is it comparable with my Mac OS?
More information would be good.
What do you mean by "unable to read PDF's". How are you trying to read them and what exactly happens when you try?
so thought I would download the latest version of Adobe Reader. It will not install.
Again, what exactly is happening?
And yes, the latest version should be compatible with your OS. -
I have just purchased a Canon 7d Mk2 but the raw files will not open in Cs5 and downloads of Adobe Camera Raw 8.7 will not install. What can I do?
Alternatively, install & use RawTherapee instead to develop your raw files instead (free and open source).

Adobe Download Assistant will not install.
I'm attempting to install the trial version of Design Premium CS5.5, but the Adobe Download Assistant will not install. It appears to be installing after I click on the installer--a window loads that says "Installing"--but then nothing happens. Nothing loads. Nothing shows up in the Applications folder. After trying this many, many times (with different browsers and after many refreshes and computer restarts), I'd sometimes get an error message that I need Adobe Air. When I try to install Adobe Air, I have the same issue: nothing happens. What can I do? I am using a brand new MacBook Pro.
I had a very very similar issue on my MacBook Pro as well with ADA. Solved it about 30 minutes ago. I found a post from late December that suggested trying the following:
System Preferences
Energy Saver
Uncheck "Automatic Graphic Switching" at the top of the page.
Install Adobe Air
Profit.
Hope it works for you too, I was ready to throw this box out the window. -
My 13 inch Macbook pro w retina will not install/download OS X Mavericks because it says I do not have the requirements in order to install it. I purchased my Mac this past month on 11/20/13 so i do not have a problem with it being an older version. Please help. This is my first computer so i dont have any experience on how to fix this.
You can't install the App Store version of Mavericks because your model needs a special version. If you ever need to reinstall it, boot into Recovery.

I was un able to install my Adobe suite 5 web premium, but it will not install my updates, (There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later) have done that have unistalled and reinstalled at least 5 times
Eduardo Alejandro Lazo what specific error do you receive when trying to apply the update?
I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors. You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion. -
Msi object will not install with non-admin user
I've created an MSI object for the Flash 9 plugin, which installs okay
on the workstation when I login with an admin user. It will not
install when logged in with a normal user account. I have set it up as
an unsecure user and given the workstation R and F rights to the msi
object, but I'm still getting a 1603 error code.
Any suggestions?http://appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=798
You will see the ZENworks reference on this page.
I would bookmark this site :>
I almost always check it before deploying a new package to see if it is
listed. Helps me find issues before the issues find me :>
